I just brought my Sienna van in for regular service; oil change, tire rotation etc. I love the fact that you can schedule on line. I was promptly greeted in the service bay and the representative introduced himself and shook my hand. He asked if I had any additional concerns, explained an upcoming recall fix and showed me to the lobby where I could enjoy complimentary refreshments while I waited. The waiting room was bright, clean and comfortable with TVs and iPads available for customers to use. The service was completed in less than the estimated time and included a complimentary wash. Everything about my basic experience at Walser was exemplary and I actually look forward to the next time I have to come in for service. read more

We go here for the free oil change that's included in our car purchase. In addition to the oil change, they'll attempt to sell you other services at dealer prices. As you all know, dealer prices are steep. To keep customers coming back, along with the oil change, they provide professional and courteous service. The employees are pros. They'll update you on the progress of your repairs while you are surfing the internet using their free wifi. Coffee is free. They also have a separate kids room running the latest kids movie if you want to bring your tikes along. I waited comfortably for 2 hours as they repaired a broken water pump. The manager was kind enough to overlook the fact that I was a few miles over my 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty and fixed my water pump for free. There is a Joe Sensor's next door if you are desperate for bar food and a beer. read more

Yet another terrible experience at Walser. Purchased my FJ Cruiser from them as of last year, with an extended warranty which I now feel I was coerced into purchasing. Was told by salesperson time and time again EVERYTHING is covered except tires, brakes, and maintenance. After taking it in for an oil change, multiple sensors read and a part that is now faulty due to the sensors misfiring. Of course that part is not covered, even though the man servicing the vehicle stated it is faulty because of covered parts misfiring. Five hours later I get my car back and as soon as I drive out of the lot it stalls. New problem. Take it back in to the "master mechanic" who says it is not a faulty sensor, I now need a new alternator... then four hours later tells me he has the wrong part, the car is undriveable even if he put the old alt in and to come back tomorrow. I highly recommend going to a different dealership as my experience here from sales to service has been totally unqualified and unprofessional. If I could I would never walk into this location or buy through Walser again. They do not respect your time and have typical car salesperson tactics to make you feel pressured into purchasing. I did the curbside sell they advertised for March. Got a decent quote and sold my Camry back to them after purchasing it in 2010. They told me I would have my check in 1 week. I did not and I've had to call them 3 times. The first excuse was my paperwork got buried. Then I'm not sure. Now I've been told it was mailed out yesterday and I should have the check soon. I can assume I'll have the check in the next day or two. The end of this week it will be 3 weeks. If you have the time and patience to sell your car another way I'd do so. I brought my Walser (from a different location) purchased vehicle in to have the oil changed at this Walser dealer. Let me start off by saying that its quite confusing for a first-timer to know where to go/what to do when you arrive. Here's the answer - pull your vehicle straight up to the service doors. The service staff will direct you from that point. I was assisted by Kyle who was extremely efficient and definitely went above and beyond to "wow" me. My car requires synthetic oil and when we spoke prior to leaving my car in their hands he had given me an estimated total of $24. He said, I might have a coupon that I can find to knock a couple bucks off as well. In fact, he ended up giving me a pretty big discount since my vehicle required synthetic oil. I was definitely impressed with the quality of their customer service and will return. My only other bit of frustration was the service staff who actually ring you out when your vehicle is finished. I stood in a line of two, with two women behind the counter and waited almost 20 minutes?? What in the world? Only one woman was helping customers while the other was filing mail. She didn't even acknowledge anyone in line. It seemed quite strange. read more

First of all, you need to know that this is a "no-negotiation" dealership. This is great if you are a poor negotiator, but not if you are a savvy buyer, because you won't get any bargains. They run you through a production line. Instead of offices, they have a bunch of tables you sit at that look a lot like a food court at the mall. The selection of cars is good, and this is why we came. I liked our salesman Roger G well enough...until I didn't (see below). Unfortunately, someone didn't write down the correct address to send the title and plates to, leaving us a month later with an expired in-transit sticker and no plates or papers. I kept asking Roger for help but he eventually stopped responding. I wasn't able to get a manager on the phone, but eventually some customer service person straightened it out. 9/15/16 update: The dealer just sent me a check to refund my registration fee. Bought my very first car here @ Walser. A 2007 Toyota Prius. Absolutely amazing! Not only did they have two Priuses in my price range, but the car I ended up buying was an incredible find. Mileage far below the American average, very well detailed, and it was bought new and then sold back to this Walser specifically so they had all the info on it. Felt like a new car! Also, knowledgeable staff -- before the day I bought my car I had never been inside (let alone driven) a Prius and wasn't familiar with the engine breaking feature. Salesman was quick with an answer for someone who knows nothing about cars. My only issue: this place is constantly packed!! Lots of waiting and lots of people... Also the salesman tend to wait in packs at the door, waiting to snag a customer, which is a little off putting. read more

I purchased a 2011 Toyota 4Runner with 84,000 miles on Friday August 29th after waiting 3 weeks for it to be "reconditioned". The price was cheaper than most and being it is 9 years old I wasn't expecting something perfect. There were scrapes, a few dents, and some significant wear of the driver seat and steering wheel all of which is just cosmetic. They showed me the inspection where they replaced a pinion seal and brakes, steering, drivetrain all checked out passing. Sunday was the first time I drove at 60mph and there was a revolutionary noise, loud humming and it pulled hard right. I emailed the dealership Sunday night asking for a call. Monday the salesman called me about refunding the $500 deposit that was missed on Friday and I asked about the issues. He said I could bring it over. I asked for a loaner car and was told no, asked about a shuttle ride to Woodbury and was told no so I said I'm returning the car. When I got there I spoke to The General Manager Greg and he said let's just fix it for you. My response was why did the inspection show it's fine when it clearly isn't. He responded that they don't test drive cars at 60mph. I said I don't have faith in the rest of the inspection and their service department. He told me their service department didn't it. After that he started to argue with me when I told him that the service department didn't call me and they wouldn't help with transportation. I worked for Toyota for 8 years and couldn't believe the way he was treating me. So instead of buying a new 4Runner from them I'm writing this review in a Uber since they wouldn't give me a ride. I would step foot in that place ever again as long as Greg is there. Shame on you. read more

My family has purchased cars from Walser branches for years, so when I moved back from Chicago & was ready to buy my own car, I knew I wanted to check out Walser Toyota. I did some shopping on their website & found a few RAV4 models that I wanted to test drive. It was quick & easy to make an appointment online, & on the day of my session, I was greeted promptly. Unfortunately, the person who I had spoken to via email the week leading into the appointment was not who I ended up seeing that day. This was just a slight disappointment; I had really liked the professional of my original salesperson. It didn't take me long to pick out my car because I knew exactly what I wanted. However, I wasn't thrilled with the knowledge that my salesperson had about my vehicle. I'm pretty confident this person was a new hire because he received assistance from his manager several times throughout my buying process -- not a big deal until the day I picked up my car. It turns out a feature that he sold to me (BlueTooth audio) was not actually built in to the car. I will definitely take responsibility for not being more careful reviewing the features of the car when I test drove it, but when I asked the salesperson during the test drive if the car was BlueTooth compatible, the answer I got was: "Yes, for audio & voice! Here, it's in the manual." Lesson learned -- try to hook your devices to the car BEFORE you sign on the dotted line. And read the fine print in the manual. Don't let your excitement about finding a great car cloud your judgment from fact checking the details! But what's most important is that I walked away with a car that I love, at a fair price, & the customer service since the day I walked off the lot has been solid. In fact, I just called Walser Toyota today needing assistance with tracking down the vanity plates that I bought six weeks ago, & rather than connect me to the hellish DMV (who I have contacted twice this week & received no response), Cassie the receptionist volunteered to email her title clerk contact & inquire about my plates for me. Went in to test drive a car. The guy passed me on to someone else who seemed to lack a good deal of knowledge. Got different prices and quotes and could not get the numbers right at least 3 times. They seem very disorganized and not very knowledgeable about their "deals" and more costly than other toyota dealers. While they will say its because they don't negotiate. Buying a car is stressful- why does a salesperson have to make it extremely unpleasant. Will not be back. read more

It's clear all they care about is their extended warranty and gap coverage insurance. I understand making a sale, I don't understand being rude and having poor customer service. I was undecided between two vehicles. I requested for numbers to be provided for two vehicles. Sales person was really pushing for their extended warranty and gap insurance. When we decided against the extra cost and went with the first vehicle. The sales person said " my manager won't be happy" to have to switch cars again. We still proceeded with scheduling a time to come to finish sale, when we were on our way that sales person rescheduled. We came in any way and met with someone else. Again this second sales person was pushing for extended warranty and gap insurance. When we declined, his mood completely changed and even went as far as to say "I just want you guys to make a smart decision" implying the latter. He was short and not very nice the rest of the time. Over all I continued with the sale because all the paper work was processed and didn't want to continue running credit checks. They are good about stating they don't make commission on sales and are on salary. It's very clear though by the way we were treated that there is some incentive to selling warranty and gap insurance. Over all just unpleasant when you decline the extra charges. Day One: test drives. Narrowing down a car. Day Two: One more test drive. Found a great car, said we'd be back the next day. Day Three: Called our salesman after I got off work. He said he'd left, but a member of his team could help me and dealer was open until 9. Got there at 7:15 and was informed that they were closed. Many apologies from team leader, who explained that our salesman was new. Drove the half hour back home. Day Four: Drove back to dealership with all paperwork signed. Many more apologies from the new salesman who was working with another customer and handed us off. Hand off salesman got the keys and gave us coffee before going to get the car for a quick overview before signing. Ten minutes later, team leader comes over and says car was sold that afternoon. More apologies. And nothing else. No alternatives, no looking for something similar, nothing. Left and drove the half hour back home. Three trips, five plus hours and no car. Now the buying process starts again. The only thing we know is that we will NOT buy from any Walser dealer. Well, they were busy and probably sold a lot of cars that day and don't really care if their unprofessionalism impacts a couple of people who fall through the cracks. I thought going into Walser Toyota I would have a great experience. Unfortunately that did not happen. I went in to test drive/purchase a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. I was greeted and offered refreshments, which was expected. I sat down with the guy I had the appointment with and we talked about why I wanted the truck etc. He then proceeded to go get the keys to the truck only to come back with someone else to take care of my car buying needs. I was then told that their system had a "glitch" and they could not find the keys to the truck. I patiently waited about 35-45 for them to return with the keys. That did not happen ,and I proceeded to leave. I returned back into the establishment only minutes later because I remembered the email I received to get a free $25 gift card was still on the table. I asked the receptionist about the gift card for the inconvenience of me going out my way. The receptionist told me (with the look of confusion) we don't do that I never heard of this. I only been here for 6 months. They did come back to help with the gift card and successfully made that happen for me. All in all Walser Toyota Bloomington, you guys are horrible and instead of building that beautiful building next door, use that money to train your employees about "lost" Tahoe keys and promotions. read more

I had scheduled an appointment in advance for a new tire. They had already determined the week prior that I needed a new rear tire. I waited 2 hours to get a new tire. The service was very slow and the service writer didn't seem engaged on helping me get better service. Once my car was completed I asked the technician could I pay and pick up my car and he actually said "I don't know". I realize that any business can have an off day but this seemed to be business usual in my mind the way the customers service was provided. Skeezy. I think I've run into every stereotypical dealership trick I can think of here. A few years go by, I forget about it and take my car here for some reason, then am reminded. I bought my car here. My dad came with me (I'm in my 30's it was just something to do). While filling out the paperwork I use the bathroom, after I take my car home I find out he slipped my dad the paperwork that revealed my car had hit a curb. I would have bought the car anyways, but asked for an inspection. I ended up bouncing around while driving it for the next year until I replaced the tires and they fixed the minor damage caused by the curb. I once brought my car here because the keyless lock/unlock was behaving very oddly. The guy insisted on getting in my car, driving out of the service area, then telling me they didn't want to look at it. It was utterly bizarre. Another dealership was able to diagnose that the battery was bad. They replace the battery (under warranty even) and I never had the issue after that. I brought my car here for maintenance, only to deal with high pressure skeezy service people who couldn't be bother to look up what maintenance my car actually needed - tried to tell me I'd need maintenance that doesn't need to be done and actually missed something that does. I went to a different dealership to get the work done instead, the other dealership had no problem looking up the actual suggested maintenance in their computer. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone unless your car literally breaks down in front of the dealership. read more

This dealership is run by a bunch of crooks. I would not recommend bringing your car here for recalls, service bulletins, or any other maintenance. This is your typical service center that takes advantage of people (especially women) who are uneducated about cars. First there was the runaround to even get my oil consumption test done. The first appointment I had, I left the dealership with NO instructions and not even a receipt. My receipt was later mailed to me with NO information on it pertaining to the oil consumption test they were running. When I came back past the 1100 mileage, they tried to pin the miscommunication on me but I had documentation to prove that I was not properly informed. They didn't even have the information on the service bulletin/recall issue when I came in the first time. They cheated me on my oil consumption test when we finally got to completing it. They outright lied and told me that my car "passed" the test. I did not witness the oil levels before they sealed them during Phase 1 of the test (I would recommend doing this). I did not witness them checking the dipstick during Phase 2 of the test (I would recommend doing this as well). If I had done so, I'm sure I would have seen that they overfilled my engine with the motor oil so that the test would pass. They were extremely vague in answering the questions I had and told me that it's "normal" to have to put a quart of oil in my car between oil changes. I also had an issue with my breaks while I was there. I contacted corporate and that was a complete circus. In the end, they wanted to "make it up to me" by changing my breaks and servicing my rotors for free. They did that to try and shut me up so that they wouldn't have to deal with the oil consumption issue. They figured I'd be happy and continue getting my car serviced there because they "made it up to me" when in reality, they did that so that I wouldn't press the oil consumption issue which would cost there dealership a lot of time to fix (supposedly a month). I wasted so much time with these crooks and I am SO disappointed in the outcome. I went to another dealership and paid for an oil consumption test. My car burned TWO quarts of oil in the 1100-1200 miles that they run the test for. Do not come here unless you are ASKING to be taken advantage of. read more

Awful customer service . I schedule an appointment four weeks ago to get a oil change to come to find out that they didn't do the oil change and said they did a tire swap when I specifically said not to because I have aftermarket tire and rims. I go to get my oil changed today in the filter seized because it's now 11,000 miles! But I want every 5000! since they said I didn't need it they didn't service my vehicle even though the appointment specifically said on the receipt that I was there for oil change. They charge full price for the oil change and then charge me because the filter was seized on. I advise everyone to stay away if you value your vehicle. It's clearly in poor hands read more

I attended to buy a vehicle on Saturday April 04 and was attended by Mr. Eduardo Herrera, I spent 5 hours waiting for the response of my credit and he indicated that I should retire and he would notify me during the week. I called repeatedly to get an answer and he only indicated that he was going to find out and warned me. A week went by and without getting an answer I went back to the dealer even with the risk of the Covid virus - 19. When I arrived, Mr. Herrera indicated that the credit had not been approved. My annoyance is that with a phone call you could give me the information and I would not have run the risk of going. read more

Do NOT ever get your car serviced at Walser Toyota in Bloomington. EVER. I guarantee they will try to swindle you. I bought my 2010 Yaris from Walser Toyota in Bloomington and have had terrible experiences ever since. They try to convince you to get parts and services for your car that you don't need, and basically, try to swindle you. Last time I was at their dealership, getting a basic check-up to maintain the warranty, they told me that my tires were so bad that I should buy new ones. Interestingly enough, they "happened" to be having a tire sale And sure enough, when I took my car to another mechanic for a second opinoin, I was told that the tires were perfectly fine. UNBELIEVABLE! This is just one example of how they will totally try to skrew you over. Then, when it came time for my 30,000 mile check-up, and I called them and asked how much it would be, and they quoted me at $400. Bear in mind that there's nothing wrong with my car, this is just a check-up, oil change and tire rotation. Luckily, I called a different dealership for a quote, Rudy Luther Toyota in Golden Valley and was quote $94 for the exact same service. That's a $300 dollar difference!!! Plus, not only that, but the mechanic at Rudy Luther saw that there were some parts I didn't need to replace, so he got me me out the door for $69! That's a $330 dollar difference!!!! DON"T EVER GO TO WALSER TOYOTA IN BLOOMINGTON TO GET YOUR CAR SERVICED. Ever. Ever. read more

I find it rather surprised by a place having such great reviews that my experience went downhill that fast. And it was SOLELY due to my horrible interaction with the general manager GREG Davis. I have to start by saying that my initial interaction with Julius Valentin the sales rep was phenomenal - he went out of his way to make sure I get the correct details and options. I actually stopped two consecutive days as I was actively looking for making my final decision on a hybrid. Working with Julius and family input, we had dialed it down to the final vehicle I was pretty much ready to buy! It needed to get a few minor details taken care of. So Julius was ever so assistive in getting the deal closed and talking with the manager to finalize those minor inquires clarified. Unfortunately for him he couldn't find any on else but the General manager( Greg Davis). From the initial moment of interaction he was not interested in helping as he was to busy with something. He had no etiquette of seeing how he could at least get someone else to help but just addressed rudely not just to his employee but myself being a customer. He has terrible manners and customer service, and was just out right rude. Every simple question was meet with a sentiment of why should I be answering this to you. ( almost to the point where I thought it might have been due to the color of my skin). His own employee felt taken back by such behavior and apologized profoundly later. I seriously can't believe someone like that is the General manager of a reputed establishment such as Toyota dealership. Needless to say- as much as I liked the car and was two steps away from purchasing it, I walked away from to there as I did not feel like I wanted any further interaction. I again much commend the high customer service of Julius Valentin. I wonder if anyone else has such an appalling interaction the General manager Greg Davis. I recently purchased a vehicle from Walser Toyota of Bloomington. My sales associate Joel Bittner was top notch almost entirely from start to finish. The only complaints I would have towards him are not delivering the vehicle 'exactly' where I asked and not having a full gas tank when the vehicle was delivered. I am fairly certain that spending $18k+ earns me a fully gassed up vehicle on the dealership. Now that I am done with the bad stuff let me sing his praises. While test driving the vehicle I attempted to lure him into immature conversation and he did not bite on the lure. Joel maintained complete, friendly, professionalism the entire ride. Joel worked with me to get his manager to agree to my unique financial situation. Joel was able to answer every single question that I had. Now for the dealership itself. They misspelled my name on the paperwork which significantly delayed my departure. The management took a long time to agree to my unique financial situation even after multiple forms of proof (identity and finances) were provided. Eventually they agreed. read more

What a bunch of scam artists. I had purchased my car through another Walser and had every single service done for the last five years through Walser with the promise of "Walser Rewards" and better trade in values if all of the servicing was done at the dealership. Five years of servicing was worth about $300 towards a car and while I had gotten an appraisal five months ago at another Walser, this one told me that it was worth 30% less because it wasn't "mini-van season". To me this just seems like a bunch if sleazy guys trying to screw the female customer over. The promises of free car washes don't materialize routinely either because it is too cold for 60% of the year or the line is ungodly long. Go to Morries, Luther, Feldman- pretty much anywhere but Walser. I have been a loyal customer for years, but the complete lack of integrity on this visit has completely turned me off from the brand.... Now in search of a reputable repair shop which will likely be more effective and cost me less than Walser and their false representations. read more

I had previously had bad experiences with Walser dealerships; but I had heard good things lately so I gave the a chance. I leased a Rav 4 from them but I believe that their old sales practices are still in place. I was misinformed about when the 1st payment was due. I was told that my first payment would be made for me and that I would not see a bill for 2 moths or make a payment until then. Now they tell me that I need make the first payment and that they will send me a check to reimburse me. I love the Rav 4 but NOT Walser!!!!!! The still haven't sent me a check that the said that they would send me within in time to make the first payment, and it's a Mont and a half later. Absolutely terrible service! We loved this place until we started getting "free" oil changes and service done at the dealer. They are as nice as can be when you purchase a car and then dupe you. My husband and I have waited in the lobby for 2 1/2 hours for a measly oil change. No apologies, just rude customer service reps! When we asked whats a slower time to come in, he got all snippy and said its "busy all the time." Well hire more staff!!!! In addition, we once waited over 30 minutes longer than needed simply because they were "too busy" to put the paper work into the computer after the service was done. Our car sat our in the parking lot but they refused to give us our keys back until they were done filling out the paperwork in the computer - the oil change was "free" so why would we need to wait??? When we recently called to get a supposed "free" oil change... they refused to give it to us unless we spend $171 on full service that includes a tire rotation, changing filters. What? I can get a tire rotation for $40 elsewhere and why would I want to sit and wait for 2 1/2 hours just to pay for crappy service. Also, when the recall happened on our Toyota Prius, they kept INSISTING that there was no such recall. My husband then called the guy that sold us the car and he never called us back until 2 weeks later. He then denied a recall and asked if we could drum up some business for him by sending some friends on in. WHAT??? So, I then called Toyota customer service and they said there was a recall on our 2009 Prius. Look it up, man! It even says it on there website. Even after I showed them the website, Walser treated me like a small child saying I "didn't know any better and that their information said otherwise." Sorry, but your dealership is misinformed. I understand that the recall is with Toyota, but the car was sold to me by the dealer and they have just as big a responsibility of informing their customers of a dangerous situation. Then, when we finally got the letter about a recall 3 months later. So we went in to get our mats replaced and they just laid the mats over the dirty floor and didn't vaccum and pick up the mess that was created from the requirement of not having a mat for 6+ months in the middle of winter. I'm glad this car is a lease as we will never be purchasing from Walser again. They take your money and run and could care LESS about customer service. We are usually very understanding people that know people make mistakes but the behavior of the staff at Walser is truly appalling. I've come here many times for repairs and typical services. I always book my appointment in advance. Every time I have been here my appointment is lost. I have to give the service representative a run-down of my requested services again each time. What is the point of providing detailed appointment information if they are going to lose it every time? Also, despite writing down my name and contact information dearly every time, I am always called by the wrong name. Is it so hard to look down at my appointment information I provided an additional time an realize that my name is not "Susan?" After four or five times they think they'd use the right name or find my info. This is the last straw. More often than not, the service representatives I work with are rude or dismissive of me. The two stars is for the one or two helpful people here and the clean facility with wifi. I will be finding a new place to go now that my warranty is nearly up. read more

So here we go again. The dealer FINALLY got back to me about the gap coverage. They said the check was sent to the OLD lien holder and I should get a hold of them. I got a hold of them and they said to get a hold of the gap insurance company, I called the gap insurance company and they said the refund comes from the dealer... WTF? So I called Walser. AGAIN. This time I was transferred to someone's voicemail. Have they NEVER refunded gap insurance??????? If you're selling a product you damn well better know how the hell it works. Walser does not. Awful, awful. I will NEVER buy another car from these buffoons ever again. read more

I would not buy used cars from them. I bought a used car from Walser a few years ago and now I am learning the car has been in an accident along with possible frame damage. Although it wasn't on the carfax, I am sure Walser inspect cars very thoroughly before selling and knew what they were doing. I attempted to purchase a vehicle from Walser but ended up purchasing elsewhere. The sales person (Bill Waltham) was great to work with. However the problem was their prices were off by $1000 for a Top Of the line RAV4 compared to other dealerships. I was still willing to purchase one from them if they offered me reasonable value for my trade in since I live about a mile from them. As soon as I shook hands with the team lead (fat, dark haired) who was going to appraise my vehicle, I knew the deal would fall apart. He had a bad attitude and sure enough really low balled me on my trade in. I just picked up my vehicle from Toyota City and my final price was about 3k lower than what Walser was willing to sell for including trade in. Walser is great if you do not want to negotiate, but you will pay a price for that. The only reason i gave this a 3 star is because Bill was great and polite and pleasant to deal with. read more
