Appointment was at 1:30. Waited 20 minutes. After they put eye drops in his eyes they told us to come back in 30 minutes. It is now 3:30 and we are still waiting!! Why have appointments if you can't even keep them! I think its time to find a new eye doctor. read more

First and foremost, I am an adult patient of Dr. Fierson recommended by my ophthalmologist doctor to correct my double vision. I have had my double vision for a while, I have spent thousands of dollars renewing my eye glasses each year trying to correct my vision. My mistake was going to a optometrist instead of an real eye doctor. On my very first visit, Dr. Fierson did the examination and found the root cause of my problem. He recommends getting a correct prescription for my glasses and it should solve my problem. If that does not work, surgery may be required, but as a last resort. Carolyn has done an outstanding job in getting the correct prescriptions for my two one-year old frames. She took time to make measurements and write down instructions for the lab to make the lenses. By the way, Carolyn was the one who took measurements of my most recent prescription glasses and gave the information prior to my meeting with Dr. Fierson. All in all, two weeks later, I have my first pair of glasses back with the corrected prescription. My double visions are gone, no headaches and I can see without squinting my eyes! The bottom lines is: If you value a good professional team to take care of your eyes and vision needs, there is no better team than Dr. Fierson and his wife Carolyn. They know their stuff! And they will provide the best vision care anywhere in the area. read more

My daughter was born prematurely and Dr. Fierson was one of the doctors who was seeing her in the hospital so I stayed with him. I'm not his biggest fan. I noticed when he inspected her eyes he cleaned his instruments w/ alcohol, used it on her, then put it back in the box... Isn't there a better way to clean that? Your wait time will be 2+ hours. They are so unorganized it's not even funny. The only good thing-when my daughter was in infant they use to let us stay in their lunch room and away from the other kids. Book your appointment as early as possible your wait will be a tad shorter, but not much. I dread going here, panic attach even thinking about going back! Ugh read more

I was not happy after meeting with Dr. Fierson! My son's eyes were crossing so we wanted to meet with an experienced Dr. and we were referred to him. We wanted to see exactly what was wrong or what can be done to fix them. After he did his examination, he concluded that nothing was wrong with them! I was so taken back as you could clearly see that they crossed!! He dilated his eyes just to tell us nothing was wrong and they would be fine as he got older. I knew I needed a second opinion and that's what I did, and my son DID need eye surgery to correct his problem because it wasn't normal. I'm glad I didn't listen and got 2 other opinions. Plus on top of this he was rude to us and his waiting room was packed with people. Overbooked for sure! Never again will I see this Dr!! read more

I would leave no zeros if I could! First their overpriced glasses break after only 2 months through no fault of our own which they cannot repair. They order me a new pair which takes 4 weeks to arrive! After I make the drive they won't give me the new pair because their stupid policy requires the broken pair. Well of course I haven't brought the old pair because my daughter is currently wearing it to school!! She can't see without it! Now I have to make the drive AGAIN on a pupil free day with my kids to pick up the new glasses! Ridiculous! The office ladies are nice but this is stupidest policy ever. You are doing a lousy job covering up for the doctor. Maybe it's time for your medication. All these years that we we were going there, we were NEVER ever satisfied like you suggested. It's just something that we have to endure for our daughter's sake. Well not anymore, this WRONG prescription that your husband wrote is the last straw. It has already been verified by a competent pediatric opthalmologist that your husband made this significant medical error. Dr. Bates and (Dr.) Carolyn are great. Dr. Bates checks all my 3 teen daughters' eyes for regular check ups. He is thorough and explains everything to me and my girls. Carolyn is super sweet, and she recently helped one of my daughters with getting good looking eyeglasses at a good price. read more

If there were 0 stars thats what they would be rated. Worth your time to read. I was terrified of the thought to put my daughter through surgery but with his years of experience I thought what a blessing to come across a Dr with so much experience. So here's what I experienced...... 1 first visit I was charged a fee to have my daughter's eyes examined because according to them my insurance wouldn't cover the procedure which was part of her eye exam to be completed I believe it was a refraction. My insurance did cover that. They just failed to call my pcp to add the cpt code they insisted was needed to complete her eye exam. I paid what was asked of me and was given a paper to send to my insurance for reimbursement. What a joke that was I just called my daughter's pediatrician to modify the authorization and when I went back I asked for a refund which was being denied when I had the correction made on auth. They told me to go through the insurance I said I wouldn't and would like my refund that same day since they charged me and expected payment to see my daughter I would expect my refund back too for their mistake the same day I'm requesting it. Everyone in the office walks on egg shells I felt like I was in the twilight zone. I was put in the exam room and a lady came in like 3 different times to make sure my daughter was sitting down on exam chair like if she wasn't sitting he wouldn't see her. My daughter was due to have an appointment in October I was unable to leave work and called 1st thing in the morning to reschedule her appointment they told me he wouldn't be able to see her until January and that the schedule was full and I let her know her authorization would expire by then they said they would update it. I called February 1 2016 and was told I had to pay 75 dollars for canceling her appointment I asked to speak to a manager Carmen said she was the manager I told her I needed her supervisor and she said Carolyn would call me back we are now in April 2016 and still haven't received a call from this supervisor also take note I've called several times between this and never got an appointment and wouldn't get one unless I would pay the money. Let me include that I was never told of this fee when I called to try to reschedule and their lame excuse is its posted in their office and so is like a million pictures of his grand kids and pictures to the snow and mountains. I never signed an agreement to pay a fee for rescheduling something I wasn't even able to do in the first place because he's booked for months. I think to myself hmmmm he's overbooked, has a waiting list of patients dying to get in I'm sure they had plenty of time to fill in my daughter's appointment slot quickly because he's so needed. I decided to call my insurance and they just called the office and heard their side and I said I've never had a call back from them since I called February 1 . My last attempt at trying to make an appointment I was told that they were dismissing my daughter from their practice. Don't waste your time, spare your child's health and your sanity. Yeah Carolyn it was nice never hearing from you and your pathetic office full of what feels like a train wreck in an episode of Twilight zone. Save yourself from the headache and frustration. There is more bad than good reviews on here that should say more than enough. I could write a book on these last few months dealing with this office from hell. My wife and have been taking our 6-year old daughter to Dr. Fierson for two years. You are probably hard-pressed to find a more qualified ophthalmologist in the area (or beyond) given Dr. Fierson's impressive background and resume. The office is definitely busy but I find it well organized during each visit. Carolyn as well as the office manager were actually quite helpful identifying every part of my insurance coverage, which is an out-of-state plan through my employer and very different from typical vision and/or medical plans. For my own vision needs, I've run into much frustration elsewhere with office staff not wanting to do their due diligence in processing my insurance, but Carolyn and the office manager made sure I would not need to follow-up with incorrect amounts or additional claims. I see some reviews here about people complaining on long wait times. However, given Dr. Fierson's history and qualifications, I find myself very priviliged to have my child under his care. Optometry visits very often aren't a 30-minute affair even for adults. Granted, you can likely find a slow optometry practice with a run-of-the-mill optometrist down the street at your local strip mall, but I gladly go out of my way to make the 30-minute trip into Dr. Fierson's office. Again, I consider it a privilege to have my daughter seen by such a qualified and experienced doctor. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Fierson. My daughter was 15 months when our pediatrician referred us here. Dr. Fierson easily figured out my daughter needed glasses and wrote the lens prescription. We went to a second pediatric ophthalmologist in LA to get a second opinion (we were in denial). The other doctor had to pin my toddler down and pry her eyes open for 20 minutes (lots of screaming) before coming to the same conclusion. Dr. Fierson is very experienced, so it helps make appointments quick and painless. Even though we have moved, we continue to drive to Dr. Fierson every few months because of the care he provides. read more

When we noticed our daughter's eye turning in and not tracking with the other eye we began researching pediatric ophthalmologists in the area. We selected Dr. Fierson after several of the other doctors we asked all said he was the best around. We also did some research on our own and found the journal articles he has written. We expected her to need surgery and he did tell us that many doctors just jump to surgery to fix these problems even though it is not always necessary. I think this is probably what Nancy V. did not believe or want to hear. Just because something can be fixed with surgery does not mean that it is worth the inherent risks when diagnosis indicates less invasive options can be effective. In our daughter's case, Dr. Fierson said that her condition could be corrected with glasses while her eyes continue to develop. He expects that by age 12 the glasses will no longer be necessary and her eyesight will be perfect. We have been following Dr. Fierson's guidance for several years now and have seen tremendous improvement in our daughter's condition. Based on his excellent track record we have every reason to trust his expert judgment. We have found him to be kind and very good with the kids and parents. He is a no-nonsense type of person, but he always answers our questions and explains what he is going to do. His office is frequently filled with children; a testament to the high number of referrals he receives. And, yes, sometimes after so many appointments he falls behind and we have to wait a little while. For us it is a small price to pay for such excellent care. The office is usually busy, but that is only because they are so accomodating with fitting additional new patients into appointments quickly. My son have seen Dr Fierson for a few times because my pediatrician refer him. He is a very gentle and nice doctor. Nurses there are very nice and always trying to help when I have any question. The billing is a little off but when I explained to them that I have already paid they understood and hung up with apology. It's a very nice and professional team. Also, another thing, my son always loves to watch their movies in the lobby while waiting, although the screen is a little bit small. Also, Dr Fierson gave very precise diagnosis and he is kinda conservative about surgery. Several years ago, I brought my brother in to see Dr. Fierson, because of his reputation for being both knowledgeable and considerate in all things patient related. It's often been difficult to lock down a reputable doctor for him, but after my experience in his office, I knew my brother was in good hands. Quickly and accurately able to identify the problem, we left the office feeling confident and relieved that Dr. Fierson had come to his aid. I am unbelievably grateful for our experience here!! This was our first time seeing Dr Fierson, as my 8 year old daughter had second degree burns to her face and eye during an accident. She had a traumatic experience in the hospital with the ophthalmologist there, and so I was hoping and praying to be able to see someone who would be kind and gentle with her. They moved heaven and earth for us and I couldn't be more grateful. Tracy, Carolynn, and Dr Fierson himself absolutely bent over backwards for us, working with our insurance, seeing her last minute, and making sure she felt safe and comfortable. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Any wait time is worth it to see Dr Fierson, because he really cares, and so do the office staff. I called the night before trying to get her seen the next day, and Carolynn and Tracy worked with me over the phone, doing everything they possibly could for me. Wait, wait, and wait some more. As a working mom with 3 kids, I don't have all the time in the world to be there for 1.5 hours (2 hours including commute time) for a quick checkup with him in the room less than 3 minutes. My oldest daughter saw him 7 years ago. Now our youngest son was referred to him again by our pediatrician. We dreaded the wait then & it's worse now. I complained to them before but today they still made me wait 1+ hour, which is quite usual for this office unfortunately. I specifically asked how long the wait was when I checked in and was told that it would be a quick visit. We waited in the reception area for 30+minutes then were called in to wait another 30+ minutes in the room. We were told that he would be in to see us next any minute, therefore we were told to sit in the exam chair with my 8 month old son in my lap. He was ok for the first 10 minutes then started squirming and fussing. I asked the nurse twice when Dr. Fierson would be in to see my son, and was told repeatedly that he would be in any minute so we had to sit in the exam chair waiting for him. It took him more than 30 minutes to see us after we were brought back. I was so mad and almost left without seeing him. He didn't respect our time and his policy is cruel to babies. I understand that initial exam when the pupils need to be dilated may take a few hours. But follow-up checkups shouldn't take longer than 20-30 minutes. He only works Tue-Thu and appointments are not easy to book. He may be an excellent clinician though he doesn't smile or spend time to communicate with parents. I would have been fine with that since my kids' eyes were corrected with patching. However his poor office management/scheduling practice makes visits to his office extremely frustrating. The office manager offered to accommodate my schedule in the future should we decide to go back. But they should make it a common practice to respect all the patients' time, not only to those who complain repeatedly. Look at other options before you decide to waste your time there. read more

Having a 1:30 PM appointment for my daughter. We sign in at 1:20 PM and with until 2:10PM before being called in by a assistance. At this time my daughter gets her eyes checked and get her eyes dilated (total time with the assistance was 5 minutes). Was informed we will be called in 30 minutes. It is backup to the waiting room. At 3:10 PM I ask the assistance when will we be called in, response in a few minutes. At 15:15 PM was called in to the Doctor office. Assistance stated the Doctor will be with you in a few minutes. The few minutes turn out to be 10 minutes. 15:25 PM Doctor Fierson is now giving my daughter a eye exam, total time with Doctor Fierson was 10 minutes. Total time in the office 2 hours 15 minutes. Total time with the Doctor/assistance 15 minutes. Time to dilate the eyes 30 minutes.Excess wait time is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Bottom line if you make a appointment with this Doctor, be prepare WAIT! read more

We are forever grateful to Dr. Fierson and his staff for performing a superb job and caring for our daughter's eyes since birth 15.5 years ago. Tina was a 25 week premature baby, 1 lb, 13 oz. Her situation was critical in almost every way, including her eyes being under developed and potential blindness. My wife and I were going through a horrendous emotional rollercoaster and when the time came to closely monitor her eyes development issues, the hospital highly recommended Dr Fierson. We trusted the hospital recommendation and agreed, however, we did not know anything about Dr. Fierson's credentials or credibility. As Dr. Fierson closely monitored my daughter's eyes, I researched his credentials, accomplishment and publications. Hence, I quickly developed respect for him, his dedication to his profession and his authority as an Ophthalmologist. Dr. Fierson's treatment and consistent follow up on Tina's eyes development were worthy of a master. He, not even once, sent a substitute or missed being there for her. Dr. Fierson's intervention to save Tina's eyes was a big success. My experience with Dr. Fierson taught me that he is not the type that reaches out for parents to make them feel better, nor the type that allows for friendly chats. He is the technical type that gets embedded with his own scientific mind and ensures that his analysis and treatment of his patient is correct and cannot be criticized. I have spent the bulk of my career working with successful technical people like him and hence I understood his personality, left him alone to do his job and most importantly trusted his treatment. Today, at the age of 15, Tina's eyes had nicely developed and her vision is normal. On 4/6/2016, Tina had an appointment with him at 1:00 pm. In less than 10 minutes, they called us in to see him. Within 5 minutes of waiting in the room, Dr. Fierson entered and checked her eyes, dilated them and the staff told us to wait for 20 min for her eyes to dilate. 15 minutes later, they checked her eyes, took her back in and did the final eye exam. Everyone was prompt, pleasant and smiling. The office was efficient and we did not feel for a minute that we were sitting around wasting our time. Due to the aforementioned, it is difficult to find words to express our gratitude. I can only conclude by simply saying Thank you. read more

My visit to Dr. Fierson's office was one of the worst experiences I have had in a health care setting. Thank God that my toddler's issue was a minor eye injury that will not require repeated trips to this office. If this were the case I would gladly drive to CHLA in rush hour traffic to avoid having to come to this office again. Ever. The bad vibe began with the paperwork. Aside from the usual health history and HIPAA stuff, there are several pages dedicated to what this office is not responsible for and will not do for you. I work in health care and understand the need to spell things out for some people who think that their insurance company is responsible for their total well-being and that it is completely up to the office staff to coordinate eligibility, chase after payment, etc. I am not one of those people. I get it. I figured these guys had been around long enough and were tired of dealing with deadbeats and stingy insurance companies. Still, there is something to be said for the way a message is delivered and this did not exactly make for a warm welcome. We arrived for our appointment and waited outside with four or five other families for the staff to return from lunch and unlock the door to the (painfully outdated) office. As the line at the front desk grew, I started wondering if there was more than one doctor there to handle all the patients appointed at the exact same time. There is not. I understand it would be inefficient to schedule one patient every two hours or so to account for the variable dilation time, but come on, how about staggering appointments? We are talking about kids here, some of them so young that being still for five minutes isn't going to happen, let alone hours. This office has absolutely zero consideration for a parent's time or a child's level of tolerance. One of the first things you notice in each room of this office are the signs taped to the walls. There are signs posted everywhere warning against eating, drinking, using electronic equipment, etc. Really? You expect my 16 month old to spend a total of three hours in your office without a snack or drink? I was a rebel and nursed her discreetly in the waiting room. I just hoped someone had the balls to say something. They are lucky they didn't. As at least one other reviewer has mentioned, one of the most ridiculous policies is the one that states the patient must be seated in the exam chair when The Great and Powerful Dr. Fierson enters the room...after 45 minutes. Again, I say really? A toddler? 45 minutes in a chair? Just waiting? That's what they expect. Once the assistant (Tracey, the office's only saving grace) was through taking our history and asking the normal intro questions, we waited a full 45 mins in the exam room, after having waited 30 mins in the waiting room. At some point another assistant came in for some reason and caught me sitting in the exam chair while my daughter, having gotten restless, was a whole 4 feet away with her dad. What would it take? About 2 seconds to transfer her to the exam chair? Apparently Dr. Fierson can't spare this time because this assistant nervously reminded us that the "patient" must be seated in the chair when he arrives. At least she seemed to understand when I stated that this was impossible. This poor employee actually seemed scared of the doctor. She must have been off her game that day because when Dr. Fierson finally walked in and saw my baby not in the chair he sighed, immediately turned around without acknowledging us and walked out of the room to loudly reprimand her for not warning us of his imminent arrival. "XXXX, where do patients belong?!, What are we doing here?!" We clearly heard the whole thing. Very uncomfortable and extremely unprofessional. I won't go into the whole exam except to say that by this time I was fuming while contemplating walking out. Long story longer, Dr. Fierson was rude, rough, abrupt, abrasive and seems to have no patience whatsoever for children. The whole experience was so over-the-top-soup-nazi-ish that I half expected Ashton Kutcher to pop out from behind one of the 300 pics of the docs grandkids and confirm we were being Punk'd. I have no reason to doubt that Dr. Fierson knows his stuff. His credentials go way back and he has been the supposed best (although maybe just the only?) pediatric ophthalmologist in the area for many, many years. That being said, I think he needs a reminder that the eyeballs he is treating are attached to children and that these children and their families are the ones ultimately paying his bills. It is not worth it to see this doctor...there are a lot of bad reviews for a reason...they are all true...I had debated whether to take my 1 year old son but I took the chance..hoping that I can come back on here & explain that he is not so bad..but the truth is he is..it's extremely packed & the hours of waiting is excruciating especially when you have a baby...they should understand that kids/babies can't wait for so long... & I was extremely annoyed that when I was called into the exam room to wait for dr fierson..the nurse or nurse assistant kept trying to keep me seated with my son to wait 10-20 min for the dr come in..if he works as a pediatric opthamoligst he should understand children & babies can not sit still for so long...i was not going to have my baby strapped on my lap to wait for him after I have been waiting 3hrs plus for him..my son is a 1 year old & just like many 1 year olds they like/need to walk & explore there little minds & they have a short amount of patience but that's ok because that's normal & I understand because I am a mom...so they definitely need to change that demand..and lastly he couldn't answer the questions I had as a concerned parent for my baby...I mean I went in to see a professional that is suppose to have the knowledge & experience but I'm not sure he did..also the dr was not very welcoming at all....ugh I hate to sound so negative but it was a very negative experience for I & my son...and I hope you guys don't put your lovely babies through the same read more

I was referred here to get a second opinion for my 17 month old. He was diagnosed with Duane syndrome prior. My appointment was at 1pm and when I arrived, the office was still closed. A line of people started to form and we were left outside in the cold rain for a good 10-15 minutes. When we were finally in I was left to wonder why so many people had their appointments at the same time as mine if there was only one doctor. I waited 1 whole hour before being seen and was getting frustrated that people were being seen before me, considering I was the second person to sign in. Granted I was a new patient and had to fill out paperwork but that shouldn't have bumped me down the list either way because my appointment was at 1pm! When my son was finally seen the assistant was adamant about keeping my son on my lap. I thought to myself "really? Make me wait an hour and then expect to adhere to rules like holding down a toddler in a pediatric office!?". The doctor wasn't all warm and fuzzy as his tie would suggest but oh well. My son had his eyes dilated and so I waited another 2 hours, not the 45 minutes they had said. By the time I was seen again it was 3:45pm. Unbelievable. I kept wondering and thinking if this doctor was worth it. Three hours at a doctors office is unacceptable. I won't be returning and will stick with the first doctor, seeing as they both concluded the same diagnosis and no further treatment other than yearly visits. At least the first doctor I had gone too, had a better personality fit for young toddlers and more organized appointment scheduling. read more

I'm bumping up my score for this office for two reasons. 1. after posting my below review they called and tried to work out a better time to see my toddler. 2. The main reason I am bumping it up has to do with one of their staff - Tracey. She is very sweet and helpful. I've had a hard time finding the right frames for my daughter and she takes her time and always is polite and kind. Today my son and I had his yearly appointment today (our 18th year) . Dr. Fierson and his staff are absolutely amazing . We were blessed when our HMO sent us to him in 2001. My son was born prematurely (10 weeks early ) and diagnosed with Stabismus . Dr Fierson performed his surgery in 2004 and straightened his eyes perfectly. We continue to see Dr. Fierson every year for a checkup . The office staff is cordial and very efficient . Carolyn is so sweet and always takes the time to greet us and ask us how we are doing . When I call to make our appointments, they always work around our busy schedules and make sure to find an appointment that works for us. Let me just start off by saying that he is a great doctor and very knowledgeable with many years of experience. Just because he is not all happy and jolly does not mean he is a bad doctor. I have been a nurse for 8 years now and I know how doctors work. I mean if you were the only one seeing patients all day long while they cry and scream in your face you would not be a happy camper either. Dr. Fierson is their to do his job not to make friends. He has a lot of patients to see so he needs to be quick. Yes the waiting room is always full and that's because he is the only pediatric ophthalmologist for miles around! Overall I was happy with my son's experience with Dr. Fierson. His staff is very nice and I also had the pleasure to chat a bit with his wife while I was waiting for my son's eyes to dilate. If you go in with a negative mind you are going to have a negative experience. Just remember he is the only pediatric ophthalmologist around so it's going to be busy. Just be patent and be prepared to wait. So bring somethings for you and your children to do while you wait a little bit. read more

First, let me start by saying that I have been seeing Dr. Fierson for 32 years now. He did my first eye surgery when I was about 6 months old as I was born with crossed eyes among other problems. Since then I have had 3 more surgeries and I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else. My son also sees Dr. Fierson now and has had 1 eye surgery. I would not trust my sons eyes to anyone else. Dr. Fierson is extremely knowledgeable. Yes, his office is usually crowded, but that's because he is a good doctor and worth the wait. Today's visit was great. Even with the crowd we were taken care of in a timely manner. My 4 year old asked Dr. Fierson a million questions and he answered them all in a friendly and playful manner to really put my son at ease. When it came time to purchase his glasses, the woman was also very patient and too her time to explain everything in detail to make sure we made the right choices for our son. I normally would not do this but I am hoping this helps others so here it goes. Dr. Fierson has been treating my son since he was in the NICU. Yesterday after 10 years I made the decision to seek treatment for him elsewhere. Dr. Fierson is a very experienced doctor but the problem is how we feel at his practice...unappreciated and not valued. For the last 10 years we have felt that we have been at the mercy of his practice. As a parent of children with special needs, I have to carefully plan out the multitude of medical appointments for each of them along with their school and having a full time job. Here is where our biggest problem lies..the time spent in this office. We've at times waited up to 3 hours to see him after our appointment time and bit my tongue because we wanted the best treatment for our son. We've never been seen less than 1 1/2 hr from our scheduled appointments and again kept quiet because frankly we knew we needed them more than they need us and we get it. The sad part is they didn't attempt to hide that they knew this either...there was never a sincere "I'm sorry" or an attempt to better this practice of overbooking. Every appointment here meant at least 1/2 a work day lost and this affects us..not them. Why do they insist on booking so many patients at the same time? If I'm not going to be seen at 1, then give me 2pm and make my wait time less. Stop overbooking your time slots. I work at a Hospital..patient satisfaction is our #1 mission and I don't understand how they don't feel the same. Anyhow I know this won't change things and they will continue to treat everyone as they wish but I needed to get this off my chest because it makes me sad that we weren't treated better and that we tried and accepted this treatment for 10 years. read more

I would have to say hands down to Dr fierson !! My daughter and I trust him and he is the best I have gotten four other opinions in the past and all had different diagnosis. When it was all said and done we chose Dr fierson, We have been with him for 7 years now, this man is not only the best but he cares and he won't steer you wrong as far as the staff goes and the waiting room yes it is a little true but what do you expect for a busy doctor, You're waiting for the best and I would rather wait an hours or two then not be seen at all ! you can't have everything under the Sun for free you gotta take the bad with the good as far as the staff they could probably slow down just a little and have a little bit more patience but they have people waiting for them and I'm sure they get so stressed out and try to do there best. Put yourself in there position they are trying to make everybody happy in a timely manner Don't be so judgmental things aren't always going to be perfect. But at least you know you have a honest and dedicated doctor that is willing to serve you and treat you right read more

Dr. fierson is a good Dr. but his people skills and staff are not very friendly at all. And the wait is horrible especially when you are with a little child. Unless you and your child are very patient, witch I don't know many. Save the time and try someone else! And if you have to cancel a appointment make sure you talk to a person. Don't do it on the answer machine they will charge you 75$!! read more

My daughter was referred to Dr Fierson to treat her chronic eye condition. During our first visit, yes there were a lot of kids waiting. However, this could very well mean that there is a shortage of good pediatric eye doctors. The office staff was very friendly to my daghter and I. I can tell they work very hard in keeping up with the hectic schedule. They took our paperwork right away and had her eye dilated. We took off to have lunch, came back and waited patiently. His wife was also there at that time and smiled at us. When we finally saw Dr Fierson, he appeared a little serious yet friendly. As time went by, I realized he has to focus on his work. After all, he is an eye doctor, not a child psychiatrist. Dr Fierson knew the extent of the damage my child's eye had, how to treat it, and what additional tests needed to be done to find the cause of her condition. After only a few visits, the cause was just what he had suspected. I am very happy with Dr Fierson and his staff. I have seen two other good pediatric eye doctors since (not by choice) and their personalities are similar to Dr Fierson's: friendly, professional and focused. And they also have a lot of patients! read more
