Very bad experience at this salon. The nail polish they used was of terrible quality -- it was runny, spread all over my nails and onto the skin. The technician tried to fix it, but the polish itself was simply bad. The water in the pedicure tub was cold. When I asked for hot water, they said I should have told them earlier. My feet were freezing. The owner came and said, "Next time, tell us and we'll make it hot." I also paid for a massage, but one towel was warm and the other was cold and wet -- they used the same towel on the second leg after it had already cooled down. The polish was bubbling, uneven, and she painted across the nails instead of along them, trying to cover her mistakes. She didn't clean around the nails properly either. They also charged me for the slippers but didn't tell me in advance. At first, they gave me used slippers that other people had worn. When I said I didn't want that, they gave me new ones -- but only then told me I had to pay. The technician even dropped the metal cuticle tool on the floor, rinsed it quickly in the water, and used it again -- no proper disinfection. That is completely unacceptable and unsanitary. Even though I left a tip, I'm extremely disappointed. My friends also used to come here, but I will not recommend this salon anymore. They save money on materials and do not provide proper service. The polish looked so bad that even my two-year-old daughter could do a better job painting my nails. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I'm always skeptical on trying new nail salons but this one was near my house so I decided to try them out. Overall my nails came out good. I was surprised how quick my gel manicure and pedicure was. I think I was in and out in under an hour. Which is fine because I hate when nail salons take forever. The only minor "issues" I had were some gel left on my skin. I also paid extra for the cat eye effect and felt like you couldn't notice it as much as the sample. I asked 2x to make my nail shape pointer, and she kind of just left it the same shape I already had them more almond. No big deal. I went on vacation and was in the ocean and pool the whole time and my nails still look great weeks later! read more

Unfortunately this afternoon I met the supposed owner who was absolutely nasty rude and arrogant. It's a shame that she is the face of the business when a new salon just opened steps away. Absolutely horrible, I went to fix one of my fingers that chipped, i had a gel manicure. The women I had used the drill file and cut me repeatedly, she then broke my nail that i have been growing, she filed it and got up leaving it slated, I had to fix it myself when she got up, she painted my nail and then filed it after leaving it once again slanted. There are bumps in the top of my nail the paint application is awful. If you want to get your nails done this is absolutely not the place to go, they are rude and rush through their work. When I go back home I will be getting my nails fixed and NEVER coming back, do NOT come here. read more

I come to Wantagh a few times a year to work in the area. I am a massage therapist who specializes in Ashiatsu , which means I work on people's backs with my feet. So, my feet must be callous free and cute:) This is the second trip I have walked over for a green tea pedi to be ready for my clients. I love this place! As someone who has pedi s literally all over the country I can't wait to come back here! The atmosphere is calm. The technicians do fantastic work with care to detail. They add many things on to make each time special. Hot stones, paraffin wrap, wonderful lotions and oils, clay masks and massage for calves. Truly a treat. But what I like the most is the care I see each worker take with all the clients. From teenagers to elders I see them kindly and expertly offer shoulder massage while nails are drying. This is really a nice add on that you don't get everywhere. Emily was my technician for. Pedi and wax and she was exceptional! I'll request her again. read more

I just finally got out of that nail salon after being stuck inside for 2 and a half hours. There was no reason for me to be there that long. I got a regular pedicure and powder gel on my nails. The whole time I was there, only 3 workers were even in the salon. The water for my pedicure was ice cold by the time someone actually came to help me. The lady told me white was a terrible choice for my nail color and suggested a very different shade than what was on my toes or what i wanted. She also cut my nails extremely short and made me bleed on about 4 different fingers. My sister was with me, and obviously seemed annoyed. The only thing the workers did for us was give $5 off of the manicure. I will not be going back there again. There was such a lack of respect and concern for any of the customers. read more
