I have to say I love my dentist of about 1.5 years (so not exactly "new", but you don't see them that often - if it was a boyfriend it would be VERY new). I've had 3 check-ups/cleanings now and 1 appointment for fillings. The receptionist always knows me, they have a bunch of new (and not grimy) magazines. The offices are super Fidi convenient. The cleaning is always gentle and painless. Dr. Leong always checks you for cavities herself after the cleaning. It doesn't hurt that they always say I have nice teeth. That's all well and good but instead of the "good teeth gene" I got from my parents I would have preferred a "skinny gene". Now here's the kicker, I was there about 3 days before my birthday - and they asked if I could get a delivery at my office - no I cannot. When I was ready to leave they gave me a nice present - I won't spoil it for you newbies, but it is WAY better than a toothbrush and some floss! (which I also got). read more

Love this place! Dr Leong and her assistant Linda make an awesome team. Very detailed work and they are both welcoming and super friendly. Dr Leong doesn't even yell at me for my bad flossing habits. I'm not going to disclose how long I put off seeing the dentist for fear of appalling you, but let's just say I needed a lot of dental work done. Dr. Leong is a god-send for people with dental anxiety (scaredy-cats) like me. I'm actually looking forward to my bi-annual check-ups at the dentist now. Dr. Leong and her staff are wonderful to work with. I had my teeth cleaned about a month ago, and unfortunately they found that I needed a root canal and some fillings done. Everything was entirely painless! Dr. Leong is extremely gentle and always backs off if you show any sign of pain or discomfort. She also referred me to a great endodontist conveniently located in Union Square to have my root canal taken care of as well. I've had bad experiences with dentists in the past, so I am just really relieved that I've found a dentist I can stick with. I highly recommend the work of Dr. Wanda Leong and her team, especially Anna, who is unbelievably welcoming and makes "going to the dentist" a lot less frightening. Since moving to the Bay Area, I've been going to Dr. Leong for cleanings every six months and have been very impressed with her thoroughness. Making appointments with her are very easy (the staff is super flexible), and their office is just a couple blocks away from where I work. In addition to being convenient, Dr. Leong is incredibly professional, friendly and detail oriented. Most recently, I've spent a lot of time in her chair as I needed to get a tooth implant after one of my caps needed a long-term replacement solution. (I had lost a front tooth in a field hockey accident nearly 11 years ago). The whole implant process took six months and it's been incredibly difficult, but Dr. Leong has walked me through step by step from start to finish. Not only did she set me up with a reputable oral surgeon; but she's managed the communication and treatment planning process in a timely and efficient way. I felt very well taken care of. She even came to check on me the morning of my oral surgery, just to make sure the procedure was done to her standards. Now, I have my new tooth and it matches the rest of my teeth perfectly. Dr. Leong really cares about her patients and takes the time to fully explain different treatment options, when needed. Dr. Leong is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. She is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She educated me about the right way to take care of my teeth without being pushy or judgmental. She explained everything she was doing very thoroughly so that I understood my own health better. She never made me feel rushed and she was never pushy trying to sell me dental work I didn't need, which has happened to me many times with other dentists. She and her staff were top notch. Dr. Leong is really kind and very knowledgeable. I've recommended several people from my office to go and see her based on how you are treated during your office visits. Her dental hygienist is very gentle and explains everything she does before she does it, so if you are nervous about dentistry (as I am) you are safe and in good hands. My only feedback is that they take flossing very seriously! I've never felt so conscientious about skipping a day! That said, what dentist doesn't encourage you to floss more? :) read more

The cleaning never hurts, they play music instead of trying to chat the whole time, and never shame me about my flossing, only encourage me to do a bit better for next time. I recently had a dental emergency arise during a routine checkup and cleaning - a crown was loose and was starting to create some issues with the underlying tooth. Both the technician, Helen, and Dr. Leong, immediately addressed it - carefully, with great sensitivity and effectively. The tooth was cleaned up and the crown put back on temporarily, but not before taking an extra hour of their time (thank heavens my appt was at the end of the day) and having to get another very capable technician - Linda - involved. This morning, the tooth and crown feel great, and I feel like everything's back to normal. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Leong and her staff as my dental resource. They are stellar! read more

I had to go there twice this last week and am confident I was given the best possible service from this dentistry. I had an issue with my bracket wired fused to the back of my lower front teeth that had gotten bent and disconnected from 2 teeth. I was persistent in asking Wanda's thoughts and possible options. She understood quickly that I didn't want to make a snap decision and go with a quick fix. She took the time to really explain various options and allowed me to ask about each. I decided to go with a decision to replace the entire bracket which was more costly. They immediately figured out how much it would be and asked if I wanted to go ahead with things BEfORE the operation. The second visit I learned that the way I was wearing my retainer was effecting my root length based off my X-rays. I was again impressed at the time - the care -and the trust I've gained going here. I picked Dr Leong's office because I was working in the same building and she accepted my dental insurance, and I have been consistently happy with how Dr. Leong and her staff have cared for my teeth. Shortly after my first cleanings, I had cavities to fill, then a molar cracked and I had to get a crown, which Dr. Leong did really well (better than my last dentist for sure!)... Given these positive experiences, I trusted Dr Leong to create Veneers for 8 of my upper front teeth, to totally transform my smile! The process took several visits, cost over $10K, and is something I couldn't go back from doing, so it was really important that I trust the dentist to do a great job.
