Wang Cho KBBQ is a spot we keep coming back to eat with family. This is a huge restaurant with plenty of booths good for small and large parties. They have a great selection of meats at reasonable prices. There are two tiers: King and Prince. We usually opt for Prince because we always order their beef brisket and beef belly. We also love their banchan. Our favorites are radish and rice paper, kimchi, steamed egg, glass noodles, corn cheese, garlic and jalapeño, and spicy tofu soup. On our recent visit, we noticed a tablet at our booth. Don't try removing it. It needs to stay attached to the stand to keep its charge. I like using the tablet in general because it eliminates the possibility of missing orders. The time it takes to place the orders and when we receive them is very minimal. The quality has been consistent and the service is always the good. Thanks, Wang Cho, for always delivering! See you on our next visit!

The first round of meat was good and then the rest were frozen. The sides were frozen or stiff. We ordered rice twice and both times it was wet. The green salt was also very stiff both times. The service was great server continuously checked in on us and changed our grill.

Pretty sad how much this place has changed. This used to be my go to spot but now I find myself going elsewhere. They do not automatically bring banchan to the table anymore. You have to order all sides individually now. I also noticed the meat quality isn't the same as it was before. On my last visit, the service was pretty slow. They rarely checked up on us and they kept forgetting our order so we had to keep asking for the same items over again.

Wang Cho has recently updated their AYCE menu to two options. I can honestly say I really like the rebrand and update. I came here with family to celebrate my sister's birthday dinner. Wang Cho was open the on Christmas Eve and on this night the parking was very easy. The restaurant had nice Christmas decor with a tree and soju bottles placed around Christmas lights as you enter. We had a reservation for 7. Our service was spot on the entire night. We sat with the table of two grills so we were spaced out nicely. The new menu offers a King menu for $39pp and Prince Menu $32pp. Orders made for sides and Banchan are done with the server along with all the meats of course. We all ordered off the king menu which gives you access to all the protein options. The top options for me off the King menu were the Ribeye Steak, Wang Cho Steak, LA Marinated Short Rib & the Rib Fingers. Everything else from the regulars options were the brisket, beef belly and bulgogi. The trinity of KBBQ options. Lol. You can't go wrong with any of them. The servers were great and attentive. We were checked on constantly. The orders were flowing on time so the grills alway had meats cooking. The sides and Banchan are all delicious. Once we were finished they cleared the table and brought out my sister's cake and plates with utensils. We had a great experience overall. We left full and satisfied with the quality of food. Thank you to Wang Cho Team working that evening! ( ^_^)b

Located in the 'Chino Spectrum Towne Center' on Grand Ave, between Pipeline & Roswell Avenues by Raising Canes with plenty on parking. We were a party of 13 and met on a Saturday at noon (opening time). We were seated immediately since it was not busy during early hours. Your entire party has to select the same menu package, which is understandable. We opted for their middle package, the "King" at $35/person with different selections of chicken, bulgogi, pork belly, squid, shrimp, and many more choices. Sides are available upon request. I don't know what to think about their overall service. Unwelcoming hostess. Our group was divided into 2 tables and away from each other, yet there were available tables side-by-side. Our server was quite inattentive and not friendly. In fact she seemed overwhelmed with our size party. The staff walking around swapping out our grill did a great job though, making sure our grills were clean throughout our visit. The restaurant was visually clean and organized with nice decor and lighting... they currently post a "B" grade on their window. Overall, our lunch experience was okay.

Happened to come here more often than not as it's near my families home. Food is usually good, egg is always on point and consistent just today or maybe I never noticed, they were a little different on the sides. I'm think it's a policy to have to ask for what you want if you remember. Sometimes this means things kind of sit and don't get attention or refreshed. The Jap chae felt a bit old, hard and not like it usually is. The rest of the ingredients we had such as rib fingers, brisket and beef belly were all up to par. Sides were lacking, not regular service such as other great spots but the service is always good. TVs with the game on and music playing in the background. Will still return I just hope the quality gets a bit better!

Meat quality was terrible! The brisket was still frozen and the tofu soup came out lukewarm. The sesame oil was rancid. The only thing that was good was the side dishes and the service. Don't believe the recent 4-5 star reviews. They are probably paid reviews. Go to Wang Cho's in Santa Ana. They are 10x better!!!

Stopped by for lunch and went with the all you can eat menu. The taste was not bad, though the selection of meat were not as wide as some places. Service was good and was satisfied with the food here.

Side dishes ready as soon as we sat down.

If you're hungry and looking for kbbq with quick and attentive service, this is the place for you. Within one minute of sitting down, the banchan side dishes were already ready and our drink orders were taken. The next 2 minutes, we received our first order of meat and our grill was replaced every 10 minutes approximately. Me and my friend got the prince package ($28.99), so we did get the lower tier but I would say not all the meat is the best quality. I ordered the cali-steak and it was like a teriyaki marinated steak cut that wasn't very good steak, a little too tough. I also wasn't a fan of the honey-marinated pork belly - I thought it would be more of a honey taste and it also tasted like teriyaki. The non-marinated brisket and beef belly were pretty good though, so I would stick with non-marinated meats next time. But whatever suits your taste buds best - they are generous with their portions so you will get ready amounts of whatever you order. I would say 3.5/5 for the meat itself, 5/5 for the service, so overall a 4 out of 5 experience.

Henry is the best!! When you come visit ask for him. Very attentive and awesome server! He made sure we always have meatl. Water refills, napkins and sides. Thank you for making our visit memorable.

    Do they have a waitlist?

Usually during the week, there's no wait. On the weekends, we usually have a waitlist from 6-9pm. You would have to come in-person to add yourself on the waitlist.

Im seeing $5 a plate plus the fee per person, is this really correct? That seems to defeat the "AYCE" part.

Yes. To discourage unnecessary food waste, any leftover uncooked meat will be $5.00 per plate.

    Do they take reservation?

    They did take reservations 2024~

Do they serve non-marinated protein? I am allergic to soy so I can't eat meats marinated in soy sauce. Thank you!

    Yes

Is the emperor menu available all day and are the scallops really jumbo? Plus can I order scallops more Than once?

Hi how can I make a reservation for tomorrow? Party of 14? Is it possible? Also do you have a table big enough to seat 14 people?

They definitely can fit 14 people and yes you can make a reservation. Your party should all be there when you get seated because they will limit your time to only 90min from what I recall.

    Are reservations available?

    Yes, reservations are available!

    Do they require vaccination proof?

Not on the day we went

What are the options for a vegetarian , no seafood?

    Do they have fish cake?

The last time I was there. Yes

Do they have rice paper? What other Bachan do they serve?

Anyone know if there are still restrictions on the size of a group?

It didn't seem like it when we were there last week! lotsa larger parties. I'd call to double check, but I think you're cool w a large group!

Do we need to make reservations?

    No reservations but a list

    Is the patio open?

Yes, the patio is open and has heated lamps to keep you warm.

The event was supposed to have old school music, and while there was someone there playing music, it wasn't as lively or loud as we expected. The sound was more in the background. Food-wise, we ordered three appetizers. Two were good, but the crispy chicken and fries missed the mark for us. The staff did let us sample a couple of drinks, which was nice, and the mocktail I had was very good. Overall, I'd say it was an okay experience. Nice atmosphere and friendly service, but not somewhere we'd probably drive out to often. It may be a better fit if you live closer to Corona and want a relaxed lounge spot.

Their front of house focus is the wine bar, but they also have a good cocktail and martini menu, as well as a nice selection of food items. The interior is warm and cozy with two different seating areas. The larger front area has bar seating, quite a few tables, and a lounge area in the back corner with several couches. There is another area in the back which is smaller, and houses their cocktail bar and a number of two seat high top tables. You can order anything on the menu from either area. We sat at the bar in front for some Sunday evening cocktails and small bites. We started out with the spinach & artichoke dip ($15). The dip came out very hot, was a big portion, and was very good. However, the menu said it came with toast points, but instead it was served with tortilla chips which were just ok. The advertised toast points or fresher tortilla chips would have made this appetizer better. My first cocktail was the Limoncello Martini (vodka, fresh Limoncello, lemon juice, $15). I usually love anything lemon and this was a good martini with light lemon flavor. She started with the Purple Martin Martini (vodka, raspberry puree, pineapple, $15). This was another good martini with light sweetness from the raspberry and pineapple, not a sugar bomb. We wanted a little more food, so we ordered the Caprese flatbread ($18). It was a good size, and the dough was great. It had a good amount of cheese and tomatoes, and I really liked the balsamic drizzle on top. However, it did not come with the basil that was listed on the menu. Next, I tried the Peperoncino Martini (vodka, Italian Peperoncino brine, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, $15). I loved this, one of the more unique martinis I've had. She liked her sip so much, she ordered her own for number three. Her second cocktail was the Carmel Apple Martini (carmel apple vodka, Licor 43, lemon, star anise, caramel cube garnish, $15). Most of the time, you would expect a caramel apple martini to be a sugar bomb, but not this one. The flavors were great with a light sweetness. And who doesn't like a caramel square treat? For my last one, I had the Cinnamon Sleigh (bourbon, cinnamon spice, maple, orange twist, $15). This was a good sipping finisher with light cinnamon notes and those great orange aromatics. KJ was our server, and she was very sweet and friendly. We came early in the evening and it was a little slow, so we chatting with her quite a bit. I'd take a half point off for the two food items not coming with the listed items, but rounded up to five stars overall. The bill had a 3% charge added for using a credit card.
