i've been an on-and-off customer at wang cho. i was actually introduced to this place by my friends from high school. if i'm ever in chino hills, this is my go-to kbbq spot! funny enough, i always run into the beautiful hostess, jennifer, who greets me with a warm smile every time. she's witty, professional, and gets me seated in an instant. every time i've been here, the meat quality is just as good as it was when i first tried wang cho 6 years ago. i'm also loving the new menu items--it feels like they're always keeping things fresh and updated. the last 3 times i've been here, i've always requested michael! he's the perfect combination of speed, dedication, and great conversation. before i even have a chance to ask for more rice paper, rice, or kimchi, he's already on it. it's crazy--i've never seen such a passionate kbbq server. what a hard worker! as a customer, it's incredibly appreciated. i can come into wang cho and feel like a king. :D read more

Congratulations to the "new management" at Wang Cho for achieving what I thought was impossible: turning a booming, line-out-the-door weekend hotspot into a sad, half-empty ghost town and now I know why. This was our family's absolute go-to spot despite other KBBQ in the area. 5/30/26 - I walked in with my wife, our teenager, and two little ones (both 6 and under). Just like we've done every visit, I brought Raising Cane's for the little ones because--shocker--toddlers aren't exactly polishing off massive plates of bulgogi and brisket! The hostess informs me that the kids will now be charged for KBBQ even if they're not KBBQ. I politely explain that my kids literally only eat chicken fingers and air, but she brings over a manager (wearing a very official grey shirt) to double down. Apparently, "new management's" brilliant business model involves squeezing a few extra bucks out of kindergartners who aren't even touching their chopsticks. So, congratulations on permanently losing a 9-year loyal family of customers just to desperately claw at a phantom profit from a 6-year-old. Luckily, there are plenty of shiny new KBBQ spots in Chino Hills and Eastvale that actually understand basic hospitality. I came to this all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spot in the neighborhood for a late lunch. Maybe because it was a bit late, it wasn't crowded, so we were seated right away. The server who took care of us was very friendly and attentive. They use a tablet system where you can place your own orders, and the food came out incredibly fast every time. Wang Cho KBBQ is a spot we keep coming back to eat with family. This is a huge restaurant with plenty of booths good for small and large parties. They have a great selection of meats at reasonable prices. There are two tiers: King and Prince. We usually opt for Prince because we always order their beef brisket and beef belly. We also love their banchan. Our favorites are radish and rice paper, kimchi, steamed egg, glass noodles, corn cheese, garlic and jalapeño, and spicy tofu soup. On our recent visit, we noticed a tablet at our booth. Don't try removing it. It needs to stay attached to the stand to keep its charge. I like using the tablet in general because it eliminates the possibility of missing orders. The time it takes to place the orders and when we receive them is very minimal. Pretty sad how much this place has changed. This used to be my go to spot but now I find myself going elsewhere. They do not automatically bring banchan to the table anymore. You have to order all sides individually now. I also noticed the meat quality isn't the same as it was before. On my last visit, the service was pretty slow. Wang Cho has recently updated their AYCE menu to two options. I can honestly say I really like the rebrand and update. I came here with family to celebrate my sister's birthday dinner. Wang Cho was open the on Christmas Eve and on this night the parking was very easy. The restaurant had nice Christmas decor with a tree and soju bottles placed around Christmas lights as you enter. We had a reservation for 7. Our service was spot on the entire night. We sat with the table of two grills so we were spaced out nicely. The new menu offers a King menu for $39pp and Prince Menu $32pp. Orders made for sides and Banchan are done with the server along with all the meats of course. We all ordered off the king menu which gives you access to all the protein options. The top options for me off the King menu were the Ribeye Steak, Wang Cho Steak, LA Marinated Short Rib & the Rib Fingers. Everything else from the regulars options were the brisket, beef belly and bulgogi. The trinity of KBBQ options. Lol. You can't go wrong with any of them. The servers were great and attentive. We were checked on constantly. The orders were flowing on time so the grills alway had meats cooking. The sides and Banchan are all delicious. Once we were finished they cleared the table and brought out my sister's cake and plates with utensils. We had a great experience overall. We left full and satisfied with the quality of food. This is an informal complaint and a PSA for people who have allergies. Don't get me wrong, I do love their food here. The meats are still excellent. Unfortunately my meal was interrupted by my peanut allergy. The restaurant changed their menu from digital to a tablet that you order from. I ordered the Korean Pancake thinking it was the normal one with veggies. It was a sweet pancake and it had peanuts in it. On the menu, it did not have any information that it had peanuts or nuts inside the pancake. Luckily, I didn't bite into the peanut itself but bit into the sweet filling instead. I started getting an allergic reaction of hives/rash due to the cross contamination of the filling. I made a complaint to the shift manager about my experience with their menu on the tablet. He also gave me ice to help with my rash. I asked him to comp my meal because I had to deal with my allergy. I couldn't eat anymore although I was still hungry. I understand it's not the servers fault but in future I would like to see the servers at the beginning of the service to ask if any patrons have any allergies or put an allergy icon within the menu to give customers a notice that item has the food allergy in it. I would not want someone else to experience that has a worse allergic reaction than me and one of my favorite restaurants to close from a lawsuit. read more

Located in the 'Chino Spectrum Towne Center' on Grand Ave, between Pipeline & Roswell Avenues by Raising Canes with plenty on parking. We were a party of 13 and met on a Saturday at noon (opening time). We were seated immediately since it was not busy during early hours. Your entire party has to select the same menu package, which is understandable. We opted for their middle package, the "King" at $35/person with different selections of chicken, bulgogi, pork belly, squid, shrimp, and many more choices. Sides are available upon request. I don't know what to think about their overall service. Unwelcoming hostess. Our group was divided into 2 tables and away from each other, yet there were available tables side-by-side. Our server was quite inattentive and not friendly. In fact she seemed overwhelmed with our size party. The staff walking around swapping out our grill did a great job though, making sure our grills were clean throughout our visit. Happened to come here more often than not as it's near my families home. Food is usually good, egg is always on point and consistent just today or maybe I never noticed, they were a little different on the sides. I'm think it's a policy to have to ask for what you want if you remember. Sometimes this means things kind of sit and don't get attention or refreshed. The Jap chae felt a bit old, hard and not like it usually is. The rest of the ingredients we had such as rib fingers, brisket and beef belly were all up to par. We have been coming here for years with my family and have always had great service and the food was amazing. Today we went in it was empty which surprised us but found out why, now you order on tablets that don't work, servers barley acknowledge you and took forever, we had to ask them to change our grills or for water, the food was gross! The meat tasted frozen and old It's not like it was before and they offer less food and options now. They charged us gratuity by force even though we ordered off a tablet and had to basically hunt them down for any type Of service. I really don't like leaving reviews like this, but honestly just a really disappointing experience. I'd been recommended Wang Cho numerous times in the past, so I'm guessing based on the other recent reviews that the experience I had is a result of very recent changes in management. Despite it being a slow Saturday afternoon, the servers seemed to be under the impression that they needed no sense of urgency, nor did they ever need to come by to check on my table, even when I used the Call Server option on my tablet--twice. I sat for almost 30 minutes with half-cooked meat on my grill after the flame went out, waiting for my server to come by and turn it back on. And I don't know if he was having a bad day or if they're understaffed, but unfortunately my server just didn't seem keen on being helpful to me in particular. (Edit: I forgot to mention that the bussers did a great job and actually came by really frequently to clean up plates and replace my grill!) TLDR; The quality and quantity of meat you get for the amount you pay, even for the cheaper menu set, imo, just isn't worth it, and the speed of service you get with a two hour table limit just isn't acceptable. There's plenty of places to get KBBQ that taste better for a better value, and on top of that, your server may actually come and check on you! read more

If you're hungry and looking for kbbq with quick and attentive service, this is the place for you. Within one minute of sitting down, the banchan side dishes were already ready and our drink orders were taken. The next 2 minutes, we received our first order of meat and our grill was replaced every 10 minutes approximately. Me and my friend got the prince package ($28.99), so we did get the lower tier but I would say not all the meat is the best quality. I ordered the cali-steak and it was like a teriyaki marinated steak cut that wasn't very good steak, a little too tough. I also wasn't a fan of the honey-marinated pork belly - I thought it would be more of a honey taste and it also tasted like teriyaki. The non-marinated brisket and beef belly were pretty good though, so I would stick with non-marinated meats next time. But whatever suits your taste buds best - they are generous with their portions so you will get ready amounts of whatever you order. I would say 3.5/5 for the meat itself, 5/5 for the service, so overall a 4 out of 5 experience. read more

Ruined by the new management. I've been coming here since high school, and it's disappointing seeing how much this place has changed under the new ownership. The atmosphere used to feel so much nicer, the service was personal, and even the patio made it a great place to hang out with friends and family. Now it feels like management is focused on cheap food and cutting labor costs with all the tablets and kiosks, which just makes ordering awkward and less convenient. Everything feels more disorganized and less personal than it used to. I used to recommend this place all the time, but over the years I've watched it slowly go downhill. The sides were all tasty , the prices were reasonable especially for children (no stupid height rule) , there was a fan above table to absorb fumes (some places don't have that) and our waiter Henry was incredibly kind and attentive . The rib eye and spicy shrimp were my favorite and the kids loved the chicken with cheese . The only reason I knocked off one star was because the bathroom needs a deep clean . Very dusty so def needs a professional cleaning and not a rush clean at end of day . Just a recommendation because it makes one wonder how clean is the kitchen . **Disappointing Experience - Mostly Just Fat and Smoke** We've been a customer for over 10 years, hosted so many events here, but we've decided never to come back. The quality of meat is so bad, we much rather pay a bit more for a place that serves meat. The service was hit or miss, our grill was always so smoky and there was literally 2 cups of oil that seep through to the bottom. The meat quality was shockingly bad. What we were served was literally almost all fat. There was so much oil seeping out that it sounded like we were eating at a deep fryer. Oil splattered everywhere, and the table was covered in grease. Tons of smoke filled the air, making it uncomfortable to even sit there. Prices have jumped to-- $32 for the "Prince" and $39 for the "King." For that kind of money, I expected actual meat, not a plate of fat. To preface: Everyone starts with 5 stars. 10 points to a star. Everything below the standard of a reasonable expectation is -1 point. If gripes can fairly be collapsed into a single category of contention to deduct less points they are. Above expectations gets a point back. Partial stars at the end are rounded up. Proof of purchase/stated prices/folded (essential details only) receipt in the images. Let's get started... Their website does not appear to be up to date. If there was an "Emperor" package as the website implies, it was not on offer at location. Also, some items available in restaurant don't appear to be on the website menu and some website menu items we didn't see at the restaurant. We had to call to find out what the price was. Because this is not a detail we could find anywhere on the website. We were told it was a flat rate of $32.50 per person. Which gave us the impression that they got rid of the package pricing model (We'd been told by a few that the place has seen significant changes in the last few years). But once in restaurant and seated we were shown that this price was part of the Prince package. There was an additional package called the King package which was $39 (we opted for 2 king packages). We were also only informed toward the end of our meal that ordered dishes that were not finished (what constitutes finished was not clarified) would be a $5 additional charge per dish, excluding sides. We also only found out after reviewing the receipt that fountain drinks were an extra $3.50 each. We expected the alcoholic beverage would be. But not drinks that normally just come with a meal. No single price related contention is something that we wouldn't normally brush off. But all together? It comes off as them being cagey about their pricing. So it's -1 for that and -1 for the website they don't seem to keep up with, as that could have kept the price gripe from even being an issue. Arriving as a party of 2, we found that there was ample parking. But it's part of a larger plaza. So that's to be expected on a Thursday. An expectation that was also met due to it being a Thursday is that they would not be very busy. We were sat within about 3 minutes. All staff we interacted with at the restaurant were friendly and proactive. The table is started with cups of water, divided trays of a seasoning salt, hot sauce, and so called brisket sauce (I found no discernable difference between what they call their brisket sauce and Gyoza sauce typically used for wontons. But I'm not really bothered by it as it works well for the unmarinated meats). They will immediately take an order or give you some time to choose. Menus can be accessed via scanning a QR code on the table or looking at the pad the server has. The taste and texture of the food is very good in general. Though trimming could be better. The presentation is also excellent (aside from the occasional broken corner on a plate. But this isn't billed as a fine dining experience so it's easily overlooked). The lighting is well selected. Smoke & steam from the central table burner plate play nicely off the slightly dim but warm tone, And there's something about how yellow lighting interacts with reds and whites that makes the raw meats brought to the table really pop in color. Especially since the same lighting darkens browns. So marinades give contrast. For sides we had the 2x cucumbers (which seem to be dressed in a slightly sweet vinegar), x4 Japchae, x2 Rice paper, x2 Radish paper, 2x White Sticky Rice, and x2 mac salad. Out of that, the favorites for our table were the Japchae, Radish paper dipped in the hot sauce, and the cucumbers, in that order. The only thing we really didn't like was the rice paper. It's difficult to separate, slippery when you finally do. They bring you far too much of it if you request any. Doesn't sear well. But tears too easily & is too slick to use for holding ingredients. The radish paper is better in almost every respect. Though I would suggest a rice bowl. Not to fill up on of course. But a nibble of it here and there makes for a great pallet cleanser. For main dishes we had x3 Beef Bulgogi, x2 Ribeye (King), x1Cali Steak, x2 Wang Cho steak (King), x2 Angus Beef Brisket, x2 LA Marinated Short Ribs (King). As well as 2-3 other dishes that we can't clearly recall and the receipt is not well enough itemized to tell. Favorites were the Bulgogi (which has a certain something that elevates it above all the other dishes) & Wang Cho steak. The Angus beef Brisket was mid. Diet pepsi is the only no-sugar soft drink. On the whole great experience. So what's with the rating? The Men's Room. It was in an egregious enough state that it's not fair to call it -1. I don't have enough characters left to describe that part of the experience in detail and I don't want to ruin your appetite. Suffices to say, It's well over the -8 points needed to take a star & nearly drags this down from a 4 star to a 3 star review. read more

I think that this establishment is a pretty good intro to Korean barbecue because you have a lot of different types of meat and non-Korean friendly side, dishes, and meats to choose from. They also have stuff that I like, which is intestine and beef tongue so whether you are a newbie or a seasoned K barbecue eater that likes all the other meats this is a good place to get both at a reasonable price. I think the service was pretty good. The guy was very busy but he was able to get to us in a relatively timely manner, and when he was busy or too busy doing other tasks, he at least communicated with us and told us to wait, and he will get back to us really quickly, which I appreciate. read more

There are booths and tables in the restaurants and the waiters turn on the burners and bring your meats/sides to you. There are 3 options for AYCE. The prince option was $28.99/person, which had a good selection of meats. The brisket, marinated bulgogi, and garlic chicken were my favorites. They were brought out in good portions as to eliminate food waste but still enough so our group of 5 could try everything comfortably. Servers all hang out in the back near the kitchen entrance. Nobody asks if you need anything. Tablets replaced most of the service and are too heavy to share among the table.
