Nice staff And just like other locations, delicious food The price is a bit pricey ekk It's crazy how some combo meals are over $30 nowadays The family friendly restaurant is a comforting atmosphere like usual But if you crave tofu soup and nowhere near a bcd, it's a great option

Side dishes!! Love the seaweed and Kim chi so much!!

We were on our way to introducing our single friend to another SINGLE and ready to mingle friend in THAI TOWN today but, we got hungry on gee way there so we decided to visit this OG Young Dong Tofu restaurant. Hubby says he use to come here all the time during his college years... OYSTER TOFU SOUP: 8/10 The flavor of the broth was great. Wish there was more broth because the tofu options were so huge that it sucked up the broth!! I was racing against the TOFU and then, I added the EGG which made the both disappear even faster!! I love broth so I need more please. I got mold but, I think it would taste better with a little spice!! I also added the Kim chi and GALBI bones for an extra KICK!! BEEF RIBS: 10/10 WOW IT was the STAR OF THE SHOW!! I usually just finish the tofu soup and totally ignore the meats elsewhere. BUT TO MY SURPRISE, the flavor and the texture were so nice, juicy and tender!! I devoured it!!! SERVICE: A EXCELLENT! They took our order FAST. They seated us FAST. They did everything FAST!! Such nice and speedy service here and ambiance was pretty chill... ROCK ON YOUNG DONG TOFU!!! SARANGHE!!!!!

The tofu soup here is sooo good! Love the beef intestine one. Also I love their kimchi chi! So flavorful. This is my go to spot for tofu soup in Chino!

    Banchan! Crunchy, flavorful

Happy to come here for lunch today at my daughters' request because they crave it when they come home to visit. Bustling with many families, couples, even people seeking out delicious comfort food on their own. We ordered the kimchi beef tofu, the mushroom tofu, and the bulgogi. Banchan is so good here and plentiful; they bring you seconds without you even asking. They also refill your hot buckwheat tea frequently and leave a picture of ice water at your table. I love the purple bean rice in the hot stone bowl that keeps cooking and crisping as you eat. The restaurant is loud and packed, but for good reason. The food is the main draw. Service is quick so you're generally in and out within an hour to an hour and a half. Sometimes there's a waiting list but mainly only at dinner time. No photos today, too hungry .

Pretty chill spot. Come early cuz this place packs out crazy style. Chill lil soondubu action, I mess with the purple rice. Bonchan is eh.

First time trying Young Dong Tofu Chino Hills. Me and my wife decided to try out this tofu place and the side dishes were tasteful. The server was polite and we happened to be the first customer in. The place was okay okay. Still had while bunch of dirty dishes from the day before. Must been busy. The food is better than local Tofu places.

Heard great things about this restaurant and decided to try it out. It did not disappoint ! Love the octopus tofu soup , the spicy beef stew and the ribs ! Ban Chan dishes were also yummy and the portions were generous. The service was also good and friendly staffs. It will definitely be one of my regular go to restaurants from now on.

This place always hits the spot on a chilly day. My husband and I both get the mild beef and octopus tofu soup, which is not too spicy but still very flavorful. They give a good amount of octopus. We haven't tried anything else here because this tofu soup is just so good! Favorite banchan is the seaweed one. Little pricey, but good option if you're looking for comfort food with fast service.

amazing food!!! we got the katsu and the beef soondubu spicy level which was a good amount of spice!! the soondubu here had the most flavorful thick broth that was one of the best i've had and it was surprising since i didn't think i would find good soondubu outside of LA or OC. the katsu was also perfectly crispy while extremely tender and juicy which was impressive!! all the banchan were really good as well!! cucumber kimchi and sprouts are my fav!! everything was really fresh and priced reasonably i would definitely come back

Sunday lunch hour was busy here , but the wait wasnt so bad. You know this place is authentic and delicious when you scan the room and see Korean grandma & grandpa in their Sundays best . Can't find fault on any of the dishes we had, spicy tofu with beef and seafood was delicious. I highly recommend ordering the beef short ribs, by far they make it the best here . With all the sides that accompany each order, it's alot of food . I would say order 2 sets of items to share for a party of 4 . Service is no nonsense really, no small talks , no sense of pleasantries to be had. It's almost robotic to say the least. Other than that , I recommend bookmarking this location for your next authentic Korean food cravings.

Amazing spot for comforting tofu soup! I tried the oyster tofu soup, which was tasty but I wish came with more oysters. However I tried some of my friend's beef intestine tofu soup, and it was some of the best intestine I've had, incredibly rich and fatty. As for the spice level, I would recommend going up one level from your usual order at other tofu soup places, typically I get mild but the medium spice level was not that spicy. One thing I will say was not ideal was the layout of the restaurant. The tables are very cramped together with little walkway space, making the experience a little hectic since the servers have a to squeeze in to get to you. We also were seated quite close to the table next to us.

An order of donkasu is HUGE!!!

...I have a love-hate relationship with this restaurant (lol)!!!... Young Dong is a Korean restaurant located in the Albertsons shopping center in Chino Hills. There a big lot, but everyone is always trying to park in the little section in front of this and other restaurants. It can be a real pain if you're just trying to pick up a to-go order or if you're trying to drop someone off at the door to avoid a walk. It's normal for this location to be super busy and to wait- there's a walk up write-in waitlist. Do NOT dine-in if you care about ambiance or want a lovely, quiet dinner. The ambiance is awful. The space itself is a big box jam-packed with as many tables they can fit into its space. Literally rows of tables lined up so closely together you almost feel like it's a cafeteria. On this last visit we were waved over to a table jammed in between two big groups. Because the tables are so close to one another, we couldn't walk to our table. I asked one guy if he could please scoot his chair in and he just working move (lol)?! So the waitress tells my husband to squeeze in from the space in between the two- I looked at her and put my hand on the space that she expected him to fit through- it was literally the width of my hand. SUPER annoying... Then there's the fact that the walls are oddly bare and the lighting is almost neon, so there's an odd cheap and industrial feel to this particular location. But I have to say the food has always been consistently good! The Donkasu is HUGE- thick pork cutlets that are perfectly crispy and not greasy. The soondubu is always consistent, and the Yukgaejang was really beefy and a huge portion! Bibimbap is also yummy- both the regular and hot stone. Banchans are normally a litmus test for how good the food is going to be, and they are normally pretty good here. In all, if you're looking for Korean food and are in the area Young Dong's food is consistently good. If you don't care about service or ambiance, dine in. If not, take out! They do a great job at packaging everything to try and keep it was fresh and warm as they can.

Tofu soup is decent but service is below average. Food is way over priced even for today's standards.

Picked up a few items to go for lunch today and I was both surprised and disappointed at how bad the food was. The sullungtang was very greasy and the color was off, a dark brown. The beef was not trimmed properly, so half was just fat. To be frank, it was disgusting. There were bits and pieces of fat floating in the soup. The donkatsu went in the trash after a few bites. It was obviously reheated. The breading was more like that of a chicken tender and not that of donkatsu. The darkness of the outer cut portions (the pork) the katsu is obvious indication of reheating rather than fresh. I don't know if there is a new cook, new owner, or worst case they are serving subpar food from previous day. Maybe one or none of the above. This is one of the few times I've thrown away the majority of the food I purchased for take out from any restaurant. My background is in f&b and hospitality management so I would not give this type of review, especially to a small business unless there was a legitimate reason. While I respect the amount of work and dedication it takes to run a restaurant, there is a responsibility to provide customers with a quality product that aligns with the menu pricing. Beyond the product, ruining someone's lunch break is a sure fire way to lose an existing customer. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

What stood out the most was the homemade taste. You could tell that they don't rely heavily on artificial seasonings. At many other Korean restaurants, the food can taste very strong and flavorful at first because of excessive seasoning, and you might end up drinking a lot of water. Since I eat Korean food regularly (because I am Korean), I can usually tell right away how much seasoning is used in a dish. We also have a family member with diabetes, so we pay close attention to food quality and ingredients. That made this restaurant even more enjoyable for us. This was our family's absolute go-to spot despite other KBBQ in the area. 5/30/26 - I walked in with my wife, our teenager, and two little ones (both 6 and under). Just like we've done every visit, I brought Raising Cane's for the little ones because--shocker--toddlers aren't exactly polishing off massive plates of bulgogi and brisket! The hostess informs me that the kids will now be charged for KBBQ even if they're not KBBQ. I politely explain that my kids literally only eat chicken fingers and air, but she brings over a manager (wearing a very official grey shirt) to double down. Apparently, "new management's" brilliant business model involves squeezing a few extra bucks out of kindergartners who aren't even touching their chopsticks. So, congratulations on permanently losing a 9-year loyal family of customers just to desperately claw at a phantom profit from a 6-year-old. Luckily, there are plenty of shiny new KBBQ spots in Chino Hills and Eastvale that actually understand basic hospitality. Thank you, Wang Cho "new management," for giving us the push we needed to finally try them!
