I got sick from eating here, I feel bad but with the weather warming up they need to take better care of the way they handle the food. Tempera and miso soup were actually really good. The rolls I received tasted off it wasn't till I got towards then end I realized they weren't fresh. Causing me to get one of the worst stomach aches of my life. I realized after sitting here noticing how dirty the place was . I saw the lady drag a napkin across the floor and she picked it up with her bare hands, upon picking it up the napkin was completely covered in filth and all black. I saw her just wipe her hand on a yellow rang quickly and not once wash her hands. I wouldn't recommend this place however she wasn't rude to us at all. And was a very nice old lady. My brother enjoyed his food and he didn't get sick (we ate different things)

Their service is great and just an FYI, their menu has recently changed. It changed in May 2026. I have uploaded photos for reference.

Such a hidden gem. Door was covered so I wasn't sure the business is open. It was just to block the heavy afternoon sunset. Greeted by an older lady, very friendly. We were seated right away. She served us water quickly. We ordered bulgogi beef $14.95 (comes with a bowl of miso soup) and udon yaki beef $13.95. Both are super delicious. A quiet place but apparently people do know the place and always shoot 3-4 tables of customers. I would come here again to try different things. Great service.

I relocated about 45 minutes away, but whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop by. The sushi is always fresh, delicious, and worth the drive. This place remains one of my favorites!

The food was good but not in an authentic sushi standard. It fills my belly but doesn't really satisfy my Japanese food craving. If you're standard is high, it's not the place for you. If you are on a budget and you care less if it's authentic or not, this is the place to go. Everything is reasonably priced, especially the bento box. I'll probably come back for the bentos instead. The service award good and the ambiance is clean. Although I was a bit confused with the decore. They had soju posters on th wall, Chinese lanterns, samurais and fall decorations. So when you visit lower your standards. They still deserve a 3 as it is hard to run a restaurant. I will surely be back for bento instead.

VENUE/INTERIOR: quiet, no-frills but decent sushi restaurant tucked in a shopping plaza near the Superior Market in Chino. From the outside, couldn't tell if the business was open due to dark tinted windows. Ambiance is chill, decor simple. Several dining patrons inside and that's a good sign. STAFF: friendly FOOD: Ordered to-go BAKED SALMON ROLL - with crabmeat & avocado inside and topped with salmon. The salmon portions were uneven & cookie-cutter small compared to other sushi restaurants I've been to. 3/5 SHRIMP LOVER ROLL - with shrimp tempura, crabmeat & avocado inside and topped with shrimp. Some of the avocado bits were brown & didn't look appetizing so hubby had to take that part out. 3/5 Loved the spicy sauce!

Great place to pick up good sushi & ramen/udon. Stopped here to pick up quick dinner after long softball tournament day at Big League Dreams. Menu is expansive - something for everyone - with a fun special roll selection & plenty of teriyaki grill & noodles for those weird non-sushi folk we all have to deal with sometimes. Ordered online - simple & easy. Like that they had photos of the menus attached so you can see what you're getting. I added new photos w/ updates. Staff were super pleasant & quick with our order even when we added an additional dish. Online order ready in less than 10min. Add-on ramen in less than 8min. Perfect when all we wanted was good food quick & to head to our hotel asap. To go bag had everything we needed, plenty of napkins & soy packets. All the dishes were packed nearly & securely- looked great when opened up. Got the sashimi special w/ special roll. One Hawaiian & one of the burritos ($25) & a miso ramen. All was super delish - fresh & light & TASTY. salad was crisp, miso soup was hot & delish. We were well fed & very satisfied after a long hard day softballn '. Definitely will stop here again. Maybe even eat in - the dining room was pleasant & clean too.

Bento Box Combination (3 Pcs): Teriyaki Salmon, Teriyaki Chicken and Tempura Vegetables

My family orders from here from time to time and love their sushi. Miso Sushi & Grill is located on Central & Walnut; at the shopping center where Superior Market is located. There is plenty of parking available in my personal opinion. When we arrived, we were greeted and took us to our table. I looked at the menu and ordered: Bento Combination Dinner (Any 3 Items). Served with miso soup, salad and 4 pieces of California Roll. For the 3 items, I ordered it with Teriyaki Salmon, Chicken Teriyaki and Tempura Vegetables. When I received my order, the portion size is very generous in my personal opinion for the combination plate. The salmon and the chicken were fresh, as well as the overall combination dinner plate, the flavor was good. My overall experience was great and for the value you get, especially for the combination plate; you get Miso Soup and Salad, it is worth considering to get. In my personal opinion, I would recommend Miso Sushi & Grill if you are in the Chino area and looking for some good sushi. Next time we order, we want to try their other Items on the menu.

The best Sushi you can find served by the most beautiful people! 5 stars ***** We eat here often and have found excellent, fresh food every time!

This place is the spot for great quality sushi. All the rolls were very fresh and made with intent. Our server was this super nice lady.

Food was amazing at good price point. Service was amazing very attentive. And it was a quiet night for them so it was very nice

Highly recommend. Super sweet waiters and cooks. When you walk in, everyone greets you. The ambiance is very chill, very quiet. The food was absolute delicious. The rolls were big and definitely worth your money. Go check them out! I'll be back!

This place is great! It wasn't busy for Thursday lunch and we sat down right away. You can see the cooks behind the sushi bar making the rolls which is ALWAYS a good sign to me. The ambiance was interesting: you would think it would be loud but we were able to have conversations without feeling like others could hear us and vice versa. My group all got sushi, while two of us got meals. The chicken cutlet was good but the sauce with it is served cold. The chicken teriyaki made my heart SING! The chicken was so tender it melted in your mouth.

We got the baked lobster roll, spicy tuna roll, and the chicken teriyaki roll and all were amazing. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. They have great music playing and it's a good vibe.

Can a party of 10 be accommodated here? And are there any specials/drink specials for birthdays?

Party of 10 can easily be accommodated. They have tables that can be pushed together. I don't know about specials though.

Is this place owned by the old owners of Sho-boo (ShoGun Kitchen) in Chino Hills? The menu is exactly the same from years ago....?

I have no idea. We went there again on Saturday and it was delicious once again. They have fresh wasabi which you can't get everywhere. Eric was our sushi chef. He made us a couple special dishes that weren't in the menu. 😋

Do they have all you can eat?

No, but these are serious rolls, we watched a couple order 4 rolls thinking they were getting AYCE style rolls and they had to pack up a lot of food to go.

    Where are the burgers?

They have them on a separate special menu. Which also offers Korean fries.

    Do they offer ayce?

    No they do not.

As a visual person, it did hamper the ambiance for me, especially since I was sitting right next to it. We were the only table that wasn't a couple, and even when it got more crowded, the noise level was pleasantly low. Our server asked us how we felt about salt, which was very much appreciated. AMARETTO SOUR: 3/5. Very sweet, and orange-forward which is a new flavor profile for this cocktail for me. BREAD & WHIPPED BUTTER: 5/5. Served warm. The bread was pillowy soft, and the butter, (which was more air than butter and therefore definitely zero calories), was delightfully salty. BRUSSELS SPROUTS: 5/5. I've been burned by so many poorly done sprouts that I don't order them anymore, but my partner wanted to try it and I'm so glad we got them. Zero bitterness, and crispier than an newly minted dollar bill. OCTOPUS: 5/5. Grilled to perfection, soft, not rubbery. The spices in the romesco sauce were aromatic and punchy. STEAK TARTARE: 4/5. Good. These crostinis were the most crostinis to have ever crostinied. The perfect vessel for the rich steak. MUSHROOM SOUP: 5/5. This is the first time I've found balance between being truffle-forward without being overbearing. Usually I'm done after about two spoonfuls, but all 3 bowls (shared between 6 of us) were cleaned. SURF & TURF: 5/5. Owen's checks internal and external temperature, which means steak is cooked true to the way it's ordered. More impressive is that they didn't overcook the lobster. A moment for the gorgeous blue plates; they are heirlooms, and only 7 of them exist in the world. CHILEAN SEA BASS: 4/5. For me, the radish did a lot of heavy lifting in balancing out the saltiness of the soy vinaigrette and richness of the fish itself. STEAK FRITES: 4/5. Again, perfectly cooked steak. I only had one fry, and I thought it was a damn good fry, but my partner did say it eventually got salty. And he loves his salt. CAMPING TRIP: 5/5. The crust on the salmon, the theatrics of the hot rock, the fresh veggies. It's a classic for a reason. MAITAKE MUSHROOM: 4/5. While it was good, I didn't find myself continuously reaching for more, as I nearly always do with mushrooms. ROBUCHON POTATOES: 5/5. AKA indulgent, buttery velvet. A labor of love well received. STRAWBERRY TART: 5/5. While the strawberries were phenomenal, the vanilla (?) custard was a little heavy for me. My mom inhaled it though. CRÈME BRÛLÉE: 5/5. So good. I don't know when it became normalized to serve crème with an Ozempic-thin layer of brûlée, but thank you Owen's for not doing that.

Our daughter had the BBQ Chicken Kids Meal, and of course we couldn't leave without ordering the Cast Iron Cornbread. Everything was delicious, but a few items really stood out. The jalapeño jam served with the cornbread was absolute perfection, sweet with just the right amount of heat. The Jalapeño Cheddar Smoked Sausage was easily one of my favorites. The Southern Fried Chicken was incredibly crispy, and both my toddler and I couldn't get enough of the mac and cheese. Gus's offers great value for the quality of food you get. The portions are generous and we had no complaints when it came to flavor. Parking is easy thanks to the nearby parking structure. The bottomless mimosas ($29.99) sound like a great deal, but just know how they run it. There's a 90-minute minimum, and they don't bring a bottle to the table--you get one mimosa at a time, and you have to finish it before they'll bring another. The first one I got tasted like straight orange juice barely any champagne. I sent it back and to their credit, they remade it much better They mentioned they control pours to keep the environment in check, which I understand--but if you're expecting free-pour vibes, that's not the case here. Food-wise: French toast & breakfast potatoes were really good However the Chilaquiles were super dry and lacked flavor--wouldn't recommend Burger & fries were decent, but nothing special As for drink pricing, it does lean a bit on the higher side. bucket of 5 beers was around $42, $15 for a Tito's vodka shot, and even a basic Jack and Coke came out to about $18 with tip, which felt a little steep for the area. the best deal was definitely the green tea shots at only $9 I will say, our waitress Priscilla was great. She had a lot of tables and seemed a bit overwhelmed, but she still made an effort to check on us and kept my mimosas coming pretty promptly. I didn't have to wait long at all between refills, which I appreciated. Since we went for a special event, the DJs were great and really kept the energy up the whole time Parking was easy. It did say there was a $2 fee, but when we printed the ticket, we weren't charged--so it might be free, but I'd still double-check at the kiosk just in case. Overall: decent spot for the vibe, music, and brunch outing, but just be prepared for controlled drinks and slightly higher prices.
