The service was good but there was a little bit of a language barrier. They do not have gluten free soy sauce, but I carry my own so it worked out. I am not a seafood fan, so I got the chicken teriyaki bowl. It was by far the best teriyaki bowl I've had in my entire life! They were extremely generous with the portions! It was STACKED with chicken! The staff were extremely sweet! My food came out very fast with little wait time. Whenever we needed assistance or a refill, the server came quickly to serve us! I got sick from eating here, I feel bad but with the weather warming up they need to take better care of the way they handle the food. Tempera and miso soup were actually really good. The rolls I received tasted off it wasn't till I got towards then end I realized they weren't fresh. Causing me to get one of the worst stomach aches of my life. I realized after sitting here noticing how dirty the place was . I saw the lady drag a napkin across the floor and she picked it up with her bare hands, upon picking it up the napkin was completely covered in filth and all black. I saw her just wipe her hand on a yellow rang quickly and not once wash her hands. I wouldn't recommend this place however she wasn't rude to us at all. And was a very nice old lady. Such a hidden gem. Door was covered so I wasn't sure the business is open. It was just to block the heavy afternoon sunset. Greeted by an older lady, very friendly. We were seated right away. She served us water quickly. We ordered bulgogi beef $14.95 (comes with a bowl of miso soup) and udon yaki beef $13.95. Both are super delicious. The food was good but not in an authentic sushi standard. It fills my belly but doesn't really satisfy my Japanese food craving. If you're standard is high, it's not the place for you. If you are on a budget and you care less if it's authentic or not, this is the place to go. Everything is reasonably priced, especially the bento box. I'll probably come back for the bentos instead. The service award good and the ambiance is clean. Although I was a bit confused with the decore. They had soju posters on th wall, Chinese lanterns, samurais and fall decorations. This is my go to sushi spot for lunch or takeout on the weekends. I love getting the Special B since it satisfies all my cravings. Sushi is good and customer service is awesome. I told one waiter no, they brought over the owner. Kind of dumb because I did not order that I'mma still say no whether one kr the other. My family orders from here from time to time and love their sushi. Miso Sushi & Grill is located on Central & Walnut; at the shopping center where Superior Market is located. There is plenty of parking available in my personal opinion. When we arrived, we were greeted and took us to our table. I looked at the menu and ordered: Bento Combination Dinner (Any 3 Items). Served with miso soup, salad and 4 pieces of California Roll. For the 3 items, I ordered it with Teriyaki Salmon, Chicken Teriyaki and Tempura Vegetables. When I received my order, the portion size is very generous in my personal opinion for the combination plate. The salmon and the chicken were fresh, as well as the overall combination dinner plate, the flavor was good. My overall experience was great and for the value you get, especially for the combination plate; you get Miso Soup and Salad, it is worth considering to get. In my personal opinion, I would recommend Miso Sushi & Grill if you are in the Chino area and looking for some good sushi. Next time we order, we want to try their other Items on the menu. read more

We came for lunch on a Saturday, and the restaurant had plenty of seating. Baked lobster roll: It had way too much pepper. We had to keep drinking water. Crunch roll and spider roll: there was a lot of crabmeat, so they tasted like California rolls because there was so little crab and shrimp tempura that the flavors were muted. Bento with teriyaki salmon, teriyaki chicken, and chicken katsu: the teriyaki sauce was nice and not too sweet. However, the chicken and salmon were dry. I liked that the rolls were a good size and wasn't all rice. However, they all had so much crabmeat that i thought it all tasted like California rolls, except the extra peppery lobster rolls. Even an hour before closing, there were a few families eating, so that gave me some hope about the food. We went with the baked salmon roll, baked lobster roll and a roll with spicy tuna on top. I can't remember the name, but I think it was the Tiger Roll. They weren't the biggest rolls, but they had some good flavors. I would say 7/8 out of 10. I've said this before about other local sushi places, but Miso Sushi is now our go to spot. After five visits, Miso sushi has been very consistent. Whether it's a bento box (steak, chicken, grilled salmon), sushi, or sashimi, each item ordered has been excellent. The salmon sushi, in particular, is fantastic. Very fresh and buttery-like. I almost forgot to mention the tempura batter. It is fresh, thin, and never greasy. Miso's prices are also very good. Regarding the service, it has been excellent. Many times there has only been one server, and she is able to handle the whole restaurant somehow. I recommend giving Miso a try if in the area. read more

Picked 5-piece-sushi and mix tempura for the bento; thick cuts of fish for the sushi and the mix tempura was super crispy and light (good large assortment of tempura'd items in the mix as well.....no repeats!). The roly poly special roll is great as a low-carb option since it's rice-less! Hefty roll pieces stuffed with bunches of imitation crab. Kinda heavy on the spicy mayo though but it was fine for me since I'm a fan of spicy mayo (mainly just something to point out). Not the fanciest of restaurants as the menus are a bit dirty and some of the plates given had dents to them. WOW! Just a trucker passing through. I was in the mood for sushi. Found a few places but this one grabbed my attention. I looked through other yelp photos and ordered the lunch special. Sashimi (I think) and the Alaska roll. It came with miso soup and salad. The service was above average. Local spot with a good family vibe. The chef and host/server were so friendly and nice. The chef asked me what I thought and I gave him the ok and smiled. Probably some of the best sushi I've ever had. No lie. Everything was fresh. Hand crafted just for me! My husband had the yaki udon combo, which comes with a bowl of udon soup and a spicy tuna roll. I had a combo that came with miso, choice of spicy tuna roll/Cali roll, and choice of an entree item (special roll, teriyaki, tempura, etc. - I chose spider roll).
