Really awesome newish Thai restaurant located just west of the core. Really really enjoyed their boat noodles, pat sew, fried shrimp, and pork jowl. Service was excellent and the restaurant is nicely renovated. I think I heard the service speaking. Mostly everything felt pretty authentic, especially having just come back from a Bangkok trip last year. Would visit again!

When you enter the place, the decor is so nice. Blend of modern and traditional. Neon at the entrance, more cozy vibes inside. Went as a group of 4 and was able to try so many different things. Kor Moo Yang, grilled pork jowl Muek Yang, grilled squids stuffed with minced pork Yum Salmon, raw salmon salad with fish sauce Tiew Ruer, wagyu boat noodle Pad Cha Talay, seafood stir-fry with rice Nuer Toon Mor Fai, slow-cooked beef innards Kanom Krok Kaow Neow Ma Muang, mango sticky rice Ice cream (Lod Chong, coconut milk and pandan noodles) Though we ordered a lot, the service was quite fast and efficient. We received all of our food surprisingly quick. Everything was seasoned to perfection, with a good mix of flavours ranging from tangy, spicy, herbal/lemony bright, umami... Their "spicy" is actual spicy, btw. Not toned down, which I enjoyed! My fav was the plump stuffed squid. Reminded me of Korean squid soondae. Close second was the pork jowl. So tender and a good balance of salty and fatty. Mmm can't wait to be back!

Admittedly, I don't have much experience with Thai restaurants outside of the usual downtown spots like Pai and Khao San Road, ordering the usual stuff like pad Thai or Khao Soi. Wang Lang offers quite a different menu, with dishes like boat noodles, salad with a heap of raw sliced salmon, or a plate of pork jowl. Service was excellent and the ambiance was on point. They even have an "outdoor" area where you get to stare at a decorated wall which is pretty cute.

The reviews have been quite positive for this restaurant and now I see why. It doesn't have the same hype as others iykyk. The flavours are definitely on point as the spice levels are also just right. If you can handle heat, don't be hesitant with anything that has 2-3 chili peppers on the menu. My favourite dish was the soft shelled crab in red curry sauce. I could've inhaled the entire portion myself. Since I was sharing. I had to hold back. We tried the pad see ew and boat noodles. Both were pretty solid dishes. For starters, we tried the fried crab, shrimp, and chicken wrapped with bean curd. We also ordered the grilled pork jowl. The dipping sauce was spicy perfection. I thought the service was attentive enough without us having to ask for anything. A couple of suggestions: I would turn down the air conditioning. We were freezing and it really didn't have to be so cold. Save money! Another suggestion would be to serve dishes immediately. The noodle dishes were piping hot but sadly, the red curry soft shelled crab wasn't even lukewarm. They all came at the same time. The temperature difference was extreme. Overall, I'd say the portions are somewhat smaller than other Thai restaurants. The prices are a tad higher. I would still come back to try other dishes.

This place tastes better than the food I had in Thailand. I feel like their pad sew ew is comparable to Nana, and pad thai is more saucy than Pai. Best part... they don't have much of a line up: wait time!

Oh my, amazing food here. Portions were huge, their food was delicious. Service was impeccably fast and on point. The place looked great and it was clean. Did I mention we didn't have any reservation but we were seated right away on a Saturday night? 100% recommend this place.

Had an amazing lunch at Wang Lang and honestly, it was one of those experiences where everything just lined up right. Their menu goes beyond what you'd usually find at typical Thai spots, and it pays off. The dishes felt fresh, thoughtful, and full of character without overdoing it. We had the Pomelo Salad (Yum Som-O), Fried Baby Shrimp (Goong Pae), Coconut Curry with Escargot (Gaeng Kua Hoi), and Boat Noodles Soup (Nuer Toon Mor Fai). For dessert, we tried the Grilled Coconut Rice Cake with Mango Sticky Rice (Kanom Krok Khao Neow Ma Muang) and Ube Ice Cream. I also had the Wat Arun, their pandan mocktail, since I'm sober. Every dish felt alive. You could really taste the individual ingredients and how they played together. Nothing masked, nothing forced. Even the dessert brought that summer vibe, cooling things down without making you feel heavy after. The service was also worth noting. Servers were kind, attentive, and ready to help with anything we asked. All of it wrapped up in a calm and nicely styled space that reminded me of a boutique hotel lounge. Not loud, not chaotic, just a good place to enjoy the food and your time. Definitely a spot I'd go back to, and next time I might just bring a bigger group so we can try more of the menu.

Came in at about 3:30 on Wednesday. It was pretty dead and service was quick. I came for the Wagyu noodles--they were incredible!!! They were served in a rich broth that was thicker than a pho broth and also more flavorful. The Wagyu was cooked perfectly by the heat of the soup. The soup itself was PACKED with so many veggies, those clear glass Japanese noodles, and so much flavor!! They have additional fixings/spice that you can add as well. It does already come with a bit of spice to it. Such a satisfying and incredible dish. My dad had the khao pad rod fai which was great. We tried the Longan juice which had a smoky, neutral flavor. I personally was not a fan of the juice but that's just me. I tried the Ma Grud cocktail which was sour and super yummy with a delicious spicy rim. The coconut pandan ice cream served with corn and taro on top--oh my goodness. I wish I lived in Toronto so I could get this every day. SO GOOD. The corn may seem unconventional, but it really gives it such a special crunch and flavor.

A hidden gem where not a lot of people talk about. Is near Bathurst and King and since we have so many great Thai restaurants in the city, is easy to miss. I enjoy the authentic taste of the dishes along with very reasonable pricing. I personally love the Tom Yum hot pot here and is perfect to share.

Wang Lang is truly a standout when it comes to Thai food in Toronto. At first, I thought "Wang Lang" was a person's name, but it actually means "Royal Garden" in Thai. I've been here three times love their food and vibe. Goong Pear (Fried River Shrimp) This is unique to Toronto--crispy and incredibly flavorful. Yum Salmon (Salmon Salad)-Thai-style raw marinated fish. With fish sauce, lime, chili, garlic, and salmon, it creates a delicious balance of sour, sweet, salty, and spicy flavors. Tiew Ruer Wagyu with Rice Noodles-Two thick slices of Wagyu, cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The richness of the warm broth blends beautifully with the marbled fat of the beef, creating a truly satisfying bite. Mango Sticky Rice Tart -Mango sticky rice served on a bite-sized coconut-flavored tart, perfect for a single mouthful.

Great Thai food. Wasn't expecting the variety of dishes and the flavours, such a lovely surprise and great food. Each dish was exceptional and flavourful.

I found upscale Thai that still vibrates with street soul. Kindly invited to Wang Lang, warm wood tones and soft lighting set a relaxed buzz. The fried baby shrimp arrived as a crisp golden pancake scented with kaffir lime, every bite saline and addictive. Pomelo salad burst with cool citrus, toasted coconut and a gentle chilli tickle. The star was the boat noodles soup, a deep beef broth simmered five hours, rich with tendon, intestine and springy meat balls, served bubbling beside rice noodles that stayed firm. A sweet earthy scoop of ube ice cream capped the meal, roasted coconut adding crunch. Service stayed attentive without hovering, and medium spice kept heat lovers happy while remaining approachable. An engaging Thai experience from first bite to last.

New Thai Restaurant! Must try: Wagyu boat noodle Mango sticky rice Loved the boat noodle broth. Strong intense flavours. Delicious glass noodles! Also loved the spin on mango stick rice. After a full meal, the sticky rice is often too much for dessert. But this bite sized one with a slight burnt coconut sauce was AMAZING! I ate two LOL All the dishes are on the spicier side, authentic Thai food. Interesting cocktail menu playing around with spices and thai flavors. Great spot to check out! Great ambiance even to just grab a drinks!

Definitely magic happening in the kitchen

The grapfruit bitters rounded out the sweetness of the Chambord and the sourness of the lemon. We decided to order another cocktail each just as our food arrived. I had the I Have a Lychee Secret. It was a little on the sweet side, but was very yummy. I loved the black pepper on top but didn't really taste much cilantro. My husband had La Passionista which was great. It was so well-balanced and flavourful. The dumplings were AMAZING! The butterly pea infused tapioca gave the perfect bouncy, chewy texture to the outside and the mushroom and radish centres were so tasty. Our waitress explained that they should be eaten in a lettuce cup with cilantro, mint and peanuts. YUM! Such a flavour bomb. The only thing I would have changed would be to add some sort of a spicy, salty, sour dipping sauce like a nuoc cham. The green papaya fritters were also just fantastic. They were crispy, crunchy and the dipping sauce was a little spicy and sweet. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal and would 100% return. I have already reccomended them to others.
