I enjoy the food but the waitresses are always rude and unwelcoming. I went in for lunch last week and someone in my party accidentally spilled soy sauce on the table next to ours in passing. Where I work, when someone has an accident I assure them not to worry and quietly clean up so they can resume enjoying their meal. These waitresses proceeded to lay out towels over the mess and take turns jumping up and down on it, trying to soak it up? Very loudly and obnoxiously to say the least...like i said before right next to our table, so literally six inches away. Trying to make a point I guess? Well at that point we did not feel bad. I have been to Wangs several times, its close to home and decent food. Last weekend my friend and I sat at the bar, had drinks,apps sushi. Our bill was over $100.....while we sat their with our second round of drinks the owner rang us out and told us "hurry up people are waiting" I'm sorry, last time I checked people sat at bars to sit and enjoy themselves without a time limit. I have ordered food from there many times. There are very few decent options for Asian food in Haverhill, so I stuck with Wang's Table despite the fact that their food is very average. I am quite lazy and somewhat depressed so the prospect of driving long distance for good take-out food is not very appealing. Especially, since the closest good Chinese restaurant in the area is in Billerica (Sichuan Gourmet). Nonetheless, each time I ordered from there, I was disappointed with myself. The food is standard American Chinese fare: greasy, salty and flavorless. My most recent experience involving Wang's Table quite negative, though it was not related to food, as the food is consistently very average. I was tempted to give this restaurant one star; however, there are lots of Asian places in the area that have much worse food and worse service. Thus, this is not the lowest tier restaurant and that is worth at least two stars. I will not dine at Wang's table again. read more

Came here with a group recently, the service was very friendly and all the food was very good. I tried my very first sushi ever here and it seemed good to me, enough that I would try it again. Restaurant is right across from parking and it was clean and cozy inside. I would recommend this place and will come again. read more

After reading the reviews on here I did NOT want to go here but my friend is a die hard "judge for yourself" type. Thank God as this place was excellent. It was a busy June Saturday and service was fast and attentive. The sushi was quite good, my friend who only eats rolls tried tuna sushi "it tastes like butter?!". Always a good place to eat! They are fast and the General Tso's Chicken is to die for. My boyfriend and I did get our own scorpion bowls, but I don't recommend it. We both at the same time felt jittery and like our stomachs were growing aliens, and this is before we even ate anything. First the loaction is Washington Street not Merrimack Street! Th Sushi is fresh and the selection is fantastic. Easliy one of the best sushi spots North of Boston and the Merrimack Valley. The rest of the menu is always fresh and hot when brought to your table. I love the atmosphere! Not oudated like evry other restaurant in Haverhill. There has been several disappointments with Wang's Table recently. Tonight we ordered delivery. An hour after we ordered we get a call stating they couldn't find our house (and I Could barely understand the delivery guy). 15 minutes later I call the restaurant stating I want to cancel my order as its been almost an hour and a half. The manager on duty said the delivery man was there when in reality he wasn't. The manager was trying to talk me out of canceling and didnt offer any thing for the troubles. It is super frustrating considering we live less than 10 minutes from Wang's. They have great food, but this is not the first time "being lost" has happened. Since they moved from the small space downtown, we have noticed a steady decline in service. I am not sure we will return and if we do, we certainly won't order take out! read more

Since Wang's moved to the new location, we haven't really enjoyed the food. The last time we ordered the sesame chicken was poor, the kids didn't enjoy the beef terriyaki or the roast pork, and my sushi was so-so. The prices have increased, and it just doesn't seem worth it anymore. The delivery service seems to get slower and slower...my husband doesn't like Li's or I would switch over to them completely. read more

I usually don't go deep into detail with reviews as most of the time if the foods good I really don't complain, but the service they provided here was by far the worst I've ever experienced. First of we walked in and we're left helplessly staring about waiting for someone to greet us, which by the way there was a woman on her cellphone staring at us.. She than greeted us for the only reason that by now there was a line behind us going out the door. She brought us over to our table than sat every single person behind us right next to our table when there's a lot in the restaurant. She than came over and asked us what we wanted to drink and we both said we'd have a water for right now as we were gonna be looking over the drink menu. She came back and asked us if we were ready to order and we both said to her that we've never been there before and if we could just have a minute she than reached in front of my face and grabbed the drink menu with aggression.... When I was just about to order a mai tai..... 20 minutes go by and she's no where to be found, I go to the restroom and she's on her cellphone AGAIN! Went back to the table and she was blankly staring at us on her cellphone.... I won't complain about the food because it was by the best I've ever had especially the fried shrimp, but if you're planning on eating here eat at the bar the waitress staff are the WORST!!!! read more

My husband and I recently moved to Haverhill and love sushi, but we were wary of trying a new sushi place, but we're glad we did! Don't be fooled by the sign for Wang's Table, it gives it a deceptive Chinese food-takeout appearance, but it's definitely a clean, comfortable, well-appointed restaurant and the sushi was fantastic. The quality was outstanding, and the specialty rolls were creative and unexpected, and totally delicious. The service was great (if a bit overly solicitous, but I'd rather have it that way anyway), and it was also slow that time of day. Really good quality food! The sushi and Chinese are equally good. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere is a step up from the other downtown establishments. TERRIBLE SERVICE! DON'T EAT HERE. Had a horrible experience here. Came in with a group and requested to sit in the back area at a booth (they tried sitting us by the door) and we were told that area was "closed." Seems odd that a tiny restaurant would close the only area that had booths, considering that's where most people like to sit! After 5 minutes of arguing with us, we were finally seated where we requested. BUT THEN THE REST OF THE NIGHT the service was extremely rude, even yelling at us! Very unprofessional. Like they were mad at us for requesting NOT to be sat near the door. Then the funny thing is another group came in and was sat at the "closed area" without a problem. Sorry that coming into your restaurant to spend my hard earned MONEY is such an inconvenience to you. Words of advice, DO NOT EAT HERE! EVER! Unfortunately this was the WORST sushi I have ever had (and I eat a LOT of sushi). First time in my life we complained. We ordered brown rice with the sushi rolls, and the rice was just plain brown rice (not soaked overnight in the vinegar like sushi rice, so it had no stickiness) and was packed around the seaweed. The plate came and looked like piles of brown rice. We said to the waitress, "Come on... what's this?" and she was immediately like "Yeah sorry we don't soak the brown rice in vinegar".... so they knew the plate looked ridiculous. They should not offer brown rice (it was printed on the menu they do brown rice maki for a surcharge) or at least told us it would come like that, we would have just ordered it with white. Honestly, the chef should have been embarrassed to even serve such a terrible dish. They also did not remove anything from the bill. We ordered 5 rolls (plus other food) and they offered to remake one, the sweet potato one (of course the cheapest one). Will never be going back here. If you want great sushi in the area, try Thyme, Mootones, Fusion House, Tomo, or Wasabi! read more
