In light of COVID, our usual Thai spots closed so we decided to try Wanisa for delivery and we are SO thankful to have found this place! Ordered the specialty curry beef noodles with green curry (though you can pick which type of curry you want) and the drunken noodles. The curry was the most flavorful curry I've had in recent memory and the noodles were perfectly cooked. They did not skimp on the veggies or slices of beef either. My husband loved the drunken noodles and noted how much less oily they were compared to where we usually order. We also got some Thai iced teas and a side of coconut sticky rice for later, which I warmed up and served with some fresh mango slices for dessert. AMAZING. Wanisa Home Kitchen does Thai food right. Was looking for a late night meal and although we came in with only 20 minutes before the restaurant closed, they still were happy to seat us. The staff here is really nice and once we ordered, it did not take long for the food to come out. The Thai Basil Fried Rice was delicious. If you like spicy, you will like this. I got it with tofu, which was cooked to my liking. My BF, a staunch meat eater tried some and commented on how he actually liked the tofu with this dish. I also got to try some of the cashew sauce with chicken. The sauce is really good, and reminds me of a sweet teriyaki sauce. By the time we were done eating, it was almost an hour past closing and at no point did we feel like we were being rushed out. Our waitress continued to fill our water glasses and ask us if we needed anything else. For the price (about $10 per dish) and the hospitality I would definitely come back or recommend Wanisa. read more

This restaurant is by far has the best Thai food I've ever experienced. I work around the neighborhood and I continue to come back for their lunch specials, which consists of a soup/salad and a spring roll. 99% of the time, I would get shrimp pad see-ew, which tastes delicious. If you're looking for something with a smoky taste to it, I would recommend that dish! Their portions are big and every time I leave this place, I am full till the next morning. Today, I decided to try something different, Cashew Nut Sauce and I'm incredibly happy I did. I'm typically a very picky eater when it comes to food and I would say if you're going for something sweet and filling, that's the way to go. The restaurant is very clean and dim, which makes it quite relaxing. The environment is calming and it's super casual. Another thing that proves I come here so often is when the waiters/waitresses recognize me and remembers my order. As a customer, it's an awesome feeling to know that they listen to you and can remember your favorite dish! Huge shout out to Toy, who has been my waitress for countless amount of times. She is absolutely amazing. Although there's a language barrier, I've never had any miscommunications. I know she tries for her customers to be satisfied. Very nice home feeling Thai cuisine. Nothing extraordinary special, but once in a while it is nice to have something that really stays true to its original flavor. The drunken noodle is a bit too mild, I would give it a five if they can kick the spice up a notch. Green curry with chicken is really delicious and have all the right ingredients in it. For someone who is not a big fan of egg plants, I find it extremely tasty in the green curry. Highly recommend if you feel the urge for a meal of simple yet delicious Thai food on any day. read more

Placed an order for pickup via Yelp. I went with the BBQ pork that came with rice and some veggies on the side. I needed a quick meal to eat in transit, but they didn't give me any damn utensils. Had to eat the pork with my hands and forewent the rice. The rice was also semi-sticky and a tiny saran wrapped brick inside a larger box. Meat portions were pretty generous though. It came with two sides of sauce - one was the standard sweet chili sauce you can pick up at most grocery stores, and the other was the hot sauce. The hot sauce was damn good. My husband brought take outs from Wanisa last night and oh man! We are so glad to have come across it! I love thai food in general but there aren't that many good thai places in nyc (I do like Wayla and Uncle Boons) so to come across such a delicious authentic thai place even when you take out is so exciting! I ordered the spicy eggplant lunch special with pork, to go. When I got back to the office to enjoy my meal, to my disappointment, there were only 2-3 small pieces of eggplant. I really like this restaurant! My group of friends and I went here before christmas break to relax after a long school year. The lighting was dark and made everything more intimate. The staff members were very nice; they quickly attended to our requests like asking for extra napkins or filling water. I ordered the kee-mao which was delicious! My friend ordered the yellow curry which was extremely delicious, but it would have been better if they served more rice. One star off for opening the restaurant at 5:00 pm. read more

Saw a big roach crawling on the floor near my table. Advised the waiter who killed the roach with a broom right next to me and then swept it away in a dustpan. Didn't disinfect or clean the floor. Minutes later, another roach was in the same area. Advised the waiter and he repeated the same process. I couldn't believe i saw two roaches within the first 10-15 mins I was there. A very unpleasant experience is an understatement. I was given the bill and no offering of doing anything and didn't even ask how was the food or do I need to pack anything to go like he did with the other table.
