Kami has AMAZING happy hour deals on their sushi!!! I was so blown away by how many options and how affordable their happy hour sushi was. The food quality was very tasty but I would say the food alone would be a 4. The deal is what makes it a 5. Additionally, the service was good! I actually have a lot of positive things about this place. rice to fish ratio is very sensible and their fish does not taste too bad my only criticism is the acidity on the rice. "sushi" is all bout how adequate amount of vinegar you put into the rice, but KAMI is way too low on the amount of vinegar...there is only a hint of vinegar. I think if theyr raise the acidity on the rice a little more, their rolls and sushi will taste WAY WAY better! read more

I usually reserve my reviews for absolute praises or stories of terror, but I really feel like I have to put out a "public service announcement" about this place. I ordered delivery. I opted to pay cash. When the delivery guy got here, he bullied me into giving more than 20% tip. Well, I guess more like tricked me - told me my total was more than it actually was, and when I tried to give him the 20% of the total I was told over the phone, he scoffed at me to give him more. Once I dug in, most of the food was fine except the chicken katsu. The first piece I bit into, the meat was crunchy. Not like, it's a katsu so the breading is crunchy, but like the chicken meat itself was a really weird crunchy texture, almost like tendon. So I kept half biting different pieces, and finding that they were ALL weirdly crunchy, I stopped eating because wtf that's hella sus. How do you even get chicken to get to that texture??? It wasn't overcooked, wasn't undercooked, just fucking CRUNCHY. Weird as hell. So, I won't be ordering from here ever again. If you want to experience magical crunchy meat, order from here!
