This review is primarily for their takeout. My husband and I are SO happy to have discovered this spot in our neighborhood. We're big sushi people and Kami is beyond affordable. They have fast delivery and they're not stingy with the amount of raw fish they put in your roll. We normally get the part tray to share and it's always high-quality and delish! We love the black angel roll :)

This was a great lunch special find. Today on a Thursday before 4pm. I had chicken basil fried rice with a spring roll , 2 shumai and a salad for $10 that was a steal. I ordered separately a miso soup, great addition. I felt a little snackish so I decided to get a salmon caviar to pair with My glass of sauvigon blanc it was a match made in heaven . While in the area I'll be sure to stop in.

Love Kami! Food is so fresh and always has been consistent. Staff are always attentive and friendly. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for a while. We love their lunch special and dinner happy hours.

Kami Sushi = Five star lunch deals! I was truly impressed by the quality and quantity of their sushi lunch special recently. I ordered delivery (see photo): Three roll lunch special - included soup and salad. The sushi rolls were so fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the fresh Yellowtail Scallion Roll, so good. I like that they included soup and salad - didn't have to choose between them. Definitely recommend Kami's lunch specials. Thank you to the other Yelp reviewers for highlighting the lunch specials in their five star reviews. Agree !

Kami has AMAZING happy hour deals on their sushi!!! I was so blown away by how many options and how affordable their happy hour sushi was. The food quality was very tasty but I would say the food alone would be a 4. The deal is what makes it a 5. Additionally, the service was good! They were helpful when it came to avoiding my allergy and also made sure to stay on top of checking in. The restaurant is also just a cute space and you don't feel cramped at all which be a challenge to find in NY. Very impressed with this spot as an affordable sushi spot!

I recently tried Kami as a last minute sushi place and was not disappointed. The fish was fresh and tasty and the price is hard to beat! I ordered for takeout once I arrived and realized there was not sit in dining at the moment. Service was friendly and fast though. I'll be back again!

Food came fast, it was delicious, good service with tiny details in decorating, packed well... all the little things...Will try other options too!

I can only speak to delivery experience but I am thoroughly impressed by their lunch specials, packaging, and speed. I ordered a chirashi lunch special (comes with soup and salad) and everything was fresh with a generous portion of fish. My friend got hers with white rice and they had written it on the box- great attention to detail. Additionally, was very happy that the miso soup came piping hot. All in all, very well priced and a solid lunch option!

Ordered the Chicken Teriyaki lunch and it was plenty to eat!!! For only $11!!

The food was very good and for only $11 for lunch?! A great deal. The chicken was well seasoned and soft to eat. It came in a little box with dividers. It helped maintain the freshness and quality if the food. If I'm in the area I would come again for lunch. Just a heads up tho. It's only delivery and pickup. I think they have listed somewhere. I also bought a Thai ice tea drink which was really good and only $4. Great find!!

Ordered a dinner special at Kami and I was so impressed! You get to pick two entrees so I did my usual salmon teriyaki and went for chicken katsu. Both great, no soggy mess. Lettuce and salmon both fresh. Delivery was done within the time frame. Can't wish for more.

Food is fine, it's great to have all the Pan-Asian options, but the real attraction is the crazy-ass fish in their aquarium. They spend the whole meal staring at you, possibly judging your choices both in meals and in life. I love them so much.

    terrible delivery

DELIVERY NIGHTMARE. Ordered on seamless with delivery time estimate 30-45 min. After calling the restaurant, the food finally showed up 1.5 hours later. My food arrived and looked like a joke. Soup was completely spilled all over my bento box. And because the delivery guy didn't carry the box flat, everything in the bento box was on one side, squished. Food was also sooooo cold. The delivery guy offered to give us 30% for our NEXT order. What next order!?!!? Never ordering from here again!!!! Worst food and delivery experience ever.

These waiters need to get woke.

Tl;dr Version- Good apps, good HH drinks, Honestly terrible entree…read more This is one of the many (many) Thai restaurants in the surrounding area which means that competition is stiff. Anyway, I was at this pretty long running Thai restaurant a while ago with two others for an early dinner. We sat outside as the weather was very nice and the inside was a bit too cold for one of the other people which was fine as they have a very nice outdoor space. As it was early, they still had happy hour and I ordered a Lychee Mojito which I think it was $8 or $9 instead of $12 or $14 or so. I don't mind at all that it was a tad boozy and there were a handful of lychees in there. This was nice. Speaking of nice, the best thing here were the appetizers. We had some type of fried dumpling to begin with though I'm honestly not sure which one as none of them really match the description and we definitely did not have the Andaman one as it contains pork and one of the other people doesn't eat it. Whatever it was, the dumpling was actually excellent being very well fried but not oily with a nice tasty center that had some basil or some other type of herb for an extra bonus. The dish had a slightly sour sweet sauce below which was fine of course. Whatever dish whatever it was, I would recommend it. There was also the pretty tasty Isan Papaya Salad (or rather Somtum for $13.95) consisting of green papaya, string bean, peanut, cherry tomatoes, and a cherry lime dressing. There was plenty of papaya for crunch and there was a bit of heat to it though less some than many other places. It tasted fresh overall with the lettuce absorbing a lot of the extra sauce. It is good but it's hard to order it here when it's literally a block away from one of the best papaya salads in the city at Zabb PuTawn's BK location. My main dish was pretty regrettably the Pad Kra Prow listed as your choice of meat stir fried with onion, garlic, bell pepper and basil in spicy basil sauce. I chose chicken (or in other words pad krapow gai) which was one of the cheap options at $18.95 and ordered it spicy and the dish arrived and tasted very differently than what I expected and not in a good way. Usually, chicken or whatever meat it is in this dish is chopped into small pieces to absorb the sauce and the dish has good kick to it making it one of my favorite Thai dishes as I like a lot of heat. The meat arrived instead in pieces which is fine as some other spots do this and as there was plenty of them but they were pretty tasteless and lacked texture with some of them being a bit gummy. There was also a brown sauce on the bottom which had a hint of holy basil but not really enough which didn't help the bad chicken. I don't mind Americanized Thai food as long as it tastes good but the main dish was atrocious and there's several places nearby which make versions which can run circles around it. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Outside of that awful dish, I tried the Chicken Pad Kee Mao/drunken noodles which was the same price which was definitely better which didn't really take much. There was plenty of meat again but the wok hei lacked with the noodles but at least it was decently spicy. The last person I believe got a fish which was fine. In a sea of Thai spots littered around Cobble Hill, this definitely falls under the "Could've Been Better" of the bunch though honestly if it wasn't for the dumplings, I might be giving this place a 1. Stick with the appetizers.

Maison Sun is an intimate dining space where guests are seated around a stainless-steel counter with an open-kitchen concept. They offer a Vietnamese fusion tasting menu for $185. I appreciate the growing recognition of Vietnamese cuisine and its elevation into the fine dining space. Unfortunately, this meal didn't quite hit the mark for me. Many of the flavor combinations felt disjointed and often clashed rather than complemented one another. Shrimp Mochi: It was good. Duck Egg Custard with Caviar: Delicious! It was creamy and well-balanced. Bread with Sea Urchin Butter: The butter was unique and tasted amazing. I could probably eat a whole stick of it. Foie Gras Katsu with Passion Fruit Candy: The foie gras itself was great, but the passion fruit candy felt awkward and out of place. NZ Hiramasa with Wood Ear Mushrooms: The wood ear mushrooms overpowered the fish, which was unfortunate because the hiramasa itself was quite good. I loved the lemongrass sauce. The lemongrass flavor was very subtle. Dry-Aged Moulard Duck with Black Rice and Makrut Leaf Curry: This was the standout dish of the night. The duck was deeply flavorful, and the curry paired beautifully with it. Tiger Prawn Phở: Very mushroom-forward in flavor. It was decent, but not particularly memorable. Secret Flavour Ice Cream: Fish sauce ice cream sounds unusual, but it was unique and surprisingly good. Opal Basil and Chrysanthemum Tea Infusion Sorbet: Refreshing and light--a nice way to end the meal. There's clear creativity and intention behind the menu, but the dishes lacked the harmony needed to make the experience truly memorable.
