I was a little disappointed after coming here. I came in with a friend and ordered baked salmon as an appetizer and the lunch special. The server brought out the salmon and it wasn't cooked fully. She took it back and brought me a new one. I ate a piece and then realized it was still uncooked. I finally said forget about it and she took it back. Come to find out, when receiving my bill, I was still charged half for the dish. Seriously? Other than that, the sushi was ok. The eel sauce was extremely too sweet in my opinion. The service here may not be the best but the sushi that we have tasted are really good. It's weird that they're korean and they make better sushi than korean food. We love their lobster roll and golden california. They put a lot of ingredients on their sushi. Their sauce taste delicious as well. They do free delivery but you have to wait longer for your food to be delivered. We ordered from them and took about an hour for us to get our food. We didn't mind because it's all worth the wait. This is a family owned/run business, they don't have that many staff and I understand why many yelpers are dissatisfied with their service and some of their food. I can only vouch for the sushi we've tasted and I believe when you go there when they're about to close or busy, the quality of sushi also goes down a notch. But overall, don't be discouraged trying this place out. Try a roll to see if you like it so you don't spend so much if in case you don't end up liking it. I am sooo happy that we found this place!! And the fact that its down the street from my place is a plus. Went around 3 pm, and there were a few people there. Seemed like they were regulars. Cute little restaurant. Greeted by a cute Japanese girl who was very nice! Great service, very helpful and knowledgeable. She let us know that some of the rolls were 50% off, prices were already reasonable so that was even better. The sushi chef was very charming, made sure we were enjoying our food. My boyfriend shared a few different rolls. I got the Sweet Olivia, holy what?! I need to have this every day. Scallops were buttery and crispy. Sooo good! Alaskan, salmon was fresh. The significant other and I stopped by for date night and left very full. Reasonably priced, imaginative sushi. It's not the highest quality, but I wouldn't let me saying that deter you- I was raised on sushi from a very traditional, very overpriced place, so that's my comparison. Basically what I'm saying is: get rolls, not sashimi or nigiri. The space isn't super impressive or fancy, but the decor is, like the food, creative and fun and quirky enough that you'll be happy. Unless you're a super snooty sushi purist (in which case, what are you doing in a strip mall in Oceanside to begin with?). Highly recommend for casual date night or dinner with friends. I've been getting sushi here for years and I still come back time and time again even when faced with other choices. They definitely have my loyalty due to the quality, familiarity, and price point. And the baby doll roll had scallops on it that were perfect. Best place I have been to for the price hands down. I absolutely love this place! We have been trying to find a really good sushi place for a long time that isnt outrageously priced. This place is that!! Their garlic edemame was amazing. Hot and garlicy. The Brave Jaden is my absolute favorite roll. The crunch is phenominal. The prices here are SO affordable and totally worth it. Usually, you would spend 30-40USD on just 2 sushi rolls, a beverage and a side dish. This place offers 50% off on all sushi rolls, which drops your expenditures to a 21-26USD tab. That is not bad for an everyday sushi. 50% off for a wholesome taste, not bad at all. But not everything is perfect. The only concern I have is the server. I know that some of the reviews claims that she is nice. But on my part, it wasnt what I read here. This happened on several occations that are not too busy. She might be too overworked (since she is the only one), stressed out , cultural background or maybe its just her. She seems a little uninterested on what she is doing. She forgot my chopsticks, for example. The food came and was brought to my table, but still no chopsticks. I told her what happened and she said that she was sorry. I let that issue go after the apology. But the second time, it was the wait time. It took us 10 minutes to have our order taken (came in at 5pm with just one customer). This time there were no apologies. No water, no menu, no napkins. Thig girl may have a few rough edges on customer service, but the food is definitely a must have. Be warned that there are only 8 tables on this restaurant, so this place gets packed in a heartbeat. Nevertheless, bring your friends and family, or even your date, and you wont be disappointed. read more

It's Sunday night and we assumed it wouldn't be busy (which it wasn't when we got there) so we thought we'd get our food pretty fast. 9/9/15 Update: the soy sauce packets have changed since my initial visit and they contain high fructose corn syrup. Perhaps a 1-star is harsh.... Bottom line is that the key ingredients should not be swapped out for poorer quality, just because it's "a little cheaper." Swap out for cheaper napkins or chopsticks (which appeared to be great quality, quadruple-ply and non-splintery) but don't eff with the rice, fish, nori, or soy sauce. Lastly, for two entrées at $47, I should get some quality soy sauce packets. -------------------- Although it wasn't particularly packed when I came in tonight (Monday 8/16/15 @ 7:15pm), the waitress seemed really stressed, so I didn't want to ruffle any feathers by mentioning this... So after voicing my unsatisfactory, you would think they would offer a small refund or substitution? No they did not. While I gave only a 10% tip when I paid at ordering (since it was a take out and a bit unhappy that they didn't accept eat in even though we arrived decent time before closing), kind of wish I didn't give the tip! Came home and realized my sashimi bowl which included a some salad as part of the bowl, but didn't have any dressing! Ugh, more mad!
