Food: - Churros are made fresh to order and hand-dipped in a generous coating of cinnamon sugar - Texture is perfect--crispy and golden on the outside, while soft, chewy, and slightly gooey on the inside -The cinnamon sugar ratio is spot-on, and because each churro is hand-coated, every bite is packed with flavor Sauces: Honestly, the churros don't need sauce, but if you are a sauce person... - Chocolate: Rich, smooth Ghirardelli chocolate - Lechera: Classic sweetened condensed milk - Blueberry: Surprisingly bold blueberry flavor - Coconut: Unexpected favorite that adds a unique tropical twist and pairs surprisingly well Service & Ambiance: - Located in the same parking lot as Brother's Cousins Tacos, making it the perfect spot to enjoy tacos and churros - Eric, the owner, is incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate about his craft - The recipe originated in Madrid, Spain, and Eric added his own Mexican-inspired cinnamon sugar twist since traditional Spanish churros are not coated in cinnamon sugar

They have a lot of options for dipping sauces. I like the classics - chocolate and lechera (condensed milk)! They are extremely friendly and efficient. They're chatty if you are in the mood, and will happily share their story. The parking lot they're next to is a free-for-all, and there are usually a bunch of other food stands set up. There is no seating, you just grab and go. A lot of people eat standing by their cars. I've brought a lot of other people here, and so far everyone agrees they are the best in the city!

The sweet lady had us sign up for rewards and I was given 2 free bars of chocolates due to our huge order. Thank you to our dad who always makes sure that our family spend time together and dines together especially since we have family over from the east coast. This tiny Santa Monica wine-and-cheese concept debuted in 2016, and their charcuterie boards earned acclaim from Oprah and The New York Times alike. During the pandemic, Lady & Larder ventured into the sandwich game, and the result was a resounding success. Nowadays, the not-so-secret "Secret Lunch" lineup of gourmet sandwiches is among the best in Los Angeles. The tiny Santa Monica shop shares the block with a Sherwin-Williams and a boxing gym. Cross your fingers for metered street parking on the trafficky block of Pico. Outside, red metal patio furniture is shaded by the overhanging storefront. Natural light runs through multicolored windows to the shop within. The mosaic tiled floor is effortlessly chic. The soaring whitewashed walls are minimally decorated, while shelves and refrigerators are carefully curated with wines, cheeses, tinned fish, and candles. The tablet register is set up on a worn kitchen countertop. Soft, instrumental music immediately feels welcoming. I've visited multiple times for early weekend lunch, and our Toast pre-order was ready upon arrival. We grabbed a table outside, and numerous takeout customers popped in and out during our meal. My favorite was the Disco Only. This elevated turkey club featured an impressive depth of flavor, from the sharp alpine cheese to the rich garlic mayo to the tangy pepperoncini vinegar. The thick-cut Bub and Grandma's sesame bread held up admirably well, and the arugula added a welcome fresh factor. The proteins were plentiful but were outshone by the other components. I also loved the Hot Girl Salami. The sweet-and-hot mustard and crispy baguette accentuated the rich, almost buttery salami. Meanwhile, the Venice Cowgirl was like a cheeseboard on a baguette. The sweet peaches and apricot-habanero jam dominated the subtly rich cheese or thin prosciutto, but the sandwich nonetheless proved to be a unique, summery option worth sharing. Lastly, the Yes, Honey elevated the ham-and-cheese with tangy relish, but the other components felt standard and forgettable. The service was friendly and efficient, and sandwiches ran for $15-20 each. Overall, the food tasted like the Santa Monica Farmer's Market on a premium roll, with sandos ranging from good to excellent. They are worth a dedicated visit if you're in the neighborhood, and I can't wait to work my way through more of Lady & Larder's menu.

Especially old people on speakerphone yelling things like "WHAT'S THE NAME OF THAT CHEESE YOU GOT MAD AT ME FOR EATING??" Give the cashier a trophy for the amount of patience she has because I couldn't do it. I eventually had to go outside because it was too much for me, but then outside you have Beverly Hills people everywhere and that's also a lot too. Luckily the sandwiches make up for all that We got the Le Rotti and I'll tell you one thing: you're going to eat some of the paper wrapping while eating this sandwich. It's so good you don't even notice. Until you put it down and realize some of the paper is missing. It just melts in your mouth. One sandwich is enough for two people. There's parking garages around so just park as soon as you can because everything around here is chaotic. Seating is limited too, and the people who already have a seat do not care that you need one. They will finish eating and continue sitting there chilling.

Had a real quick trip here recently, and I'd be less and honest if I didn't say I was a bit bummed…read more I actually found what I came here for (I needed some British double heavy cream) for a particular dish, though I couldn't help but reminisce when this location used to be in Culver city. There are a number of reasons why the Culver City location was so much better, but perhaps the main drawback at this LA location is the fact that the former had a real sense of ambiance, and uniqueness, particularly when it came to its cozy little cafe section. Now the "cafe" is pretty much just a space within a space. Another real draw to the Culver City location was the fact that they actually had a separate section where "Guest Chefs" could come in and teach entire classes via cooking classes that sometimes you have to sign up for in advance, and other times you could just kind of walk in on it. That was dope! And while the staff was friendly enough, and again ( don't get me wrong it's still a place that I will be back to to purchase much needed product), it's just an unfortunate reality that sometimes no....you can't duplicate the past.

The produce here is always very nice and fresh, though the prices will reflect that quality, too. If you come late at night, there are also some discounted bentos and bites. I had one of their fruit tarts, and it was fairly watery and mushy on the bottom, so I unfortunately can't recommend that one. Outside of groceries, it's also a good local market for common Japanese products (eg shampoo, cosmetics, kitchenware). It definitely sports those narrow aisles, though, so be prepared to maneuver around both for parking and for shopping... but hey, that's part of the experience!
