First time trying out Venchi Cioccolato at Westfield Century City for some dessert. We are so happy we tried this delicious cioccolato shop. As soon as you walk into Venchi Cioccolato the sweet aroma of gelato and chocolates fill the air, welcoming you. Excellent customer service at Venchi Cioccolato as well. As soon as we walked in they asked our family party of 10 if we would like to try samples of chocolates and gelato. We sure did. Thanks to my awesome dad, we all had some gelatos and chocolate bars. The sweet lady had us sign up for rewards and I was given 2 free bars of chocolates due to our huge order. Thank you to our dad who always makes sure that our family spend time together and dines together especially since we have family over from the east coast. Great way to close out our beautiful evening with some Venchi Cioccolato gelatos and chocolate bars to go. We can't wait to come back and try other flavors of their gelato. read more

Walked by the shop and had to do a double take from the fresh waffle cone smell. Freshly made and dipped if you prefer! I didn't know what to get but they suggested pistachio. They have free samples so we tried both pistachio flavors! We ended up getting 1 scoop split into 2 flavors. It was delicious. I was in the mood for something sweet so I took some samples of their gelato. I only sampled their non-dairy gelato and loved their mango passionfruit and strawberry. Loved their strawberry the most because it wasn't as sweet as the mango passionfruit. Got this in a waffle cone and it was great. I recall visiting their Sanlitun SOHO location in Beijing, China with my wife and son, and I found the prices to be high there as well, just like at the Century City Mall location in Los Angeles. My wife and I each got a regular cup ($8.25) of gelato. Na'Vunia was so friendly, bubbly, and attentive, helping us find our favorite flavors. Since it was an early weekday morning, they weren't busy, and we were able to sample many flavors. I only wanted to try a few, but we were encouraged to try more, which was great. I chose Green Pistachio From Bronte and Chocoviar Gianduia. While I enjoyed the smooth pistachio flavor, I would have preferred some actual pistachio pieces for added texture. The Chocoviar Gianduia was rich, and I loved the chocolate sprinkles. My wife ordered the Berry in Love gelato, a seasonal Valentine's Day flavor with strawberry and chocolate chips, and she really enjoyed it. We saved 5% each with the rewards card, totaling $0.82 off our orders. If you're in a rush, it might not be worth signing up, but I recommend doing so beforehand. My wife and I really appreciate the shop's aesthetic, particularly the bright orange booths and colorful chocolate displays. I highly recommend trying their chocolates; they are excellent! They offer free samples in a chocolate display. Just grab a sample with the tongs. Na Vunia is the cutest and she's very enthusiastic about her job working here! I tried so many different types of gelato and it's all delicious, especially the pistachio and the peanut butter. It's all gluten-free, which is amazing, you have to check out the store at the Century City Mall! It's phenomenal, they have gorgeous packaging as well. My gf and I love ice cream, so we had to try venchi which supposedly had some really good gelato even compared to bacio di latte. I got a strawberry and mango gelato in a regular cup for ~$8. My gf got a strawberry marscapone with chocolate chips and a tiramisu in a regular cup. My strawberry and mango gelato were incredible. I loved the natural fruity taste, especially with the mango. The consistency was a good in between of icy and creamy but leaning more towards the creamy side. Overall, really good tasting and texture gelato. I would put it on equal with bacio di latte. After lots of walking around the mall it was time for a sweet treat, and what better than gelato straight from Italy! My friend was so excited as she had just been to Italy and did not realize that her favorite gelato place was also in Century City! They had samples of chocolate as well as would let you sample whatever gelato you wanted before settling on one. Before you order you pick a cup or cone, size, and if you want any chocolate linings on the cup or cone. Then you pay and pick your flavor! I love peanut butter which is why I went with that flavor but there are so many others to choose from. Although it was very good it was a bit pricey with the smaller cup around $10. The service was great though and it was very festive inside for the holidays! We went on a Saturday so it was pretty busy but we got our gelato in just a few minutes. Definitely my favorite gelato in Century City! It's so smooth, creamy and delicious. My favorite flavors that I tried are the "Chocoviar" (75% Cocoa) with an intense dark chocolate flavor and crunchy cocoa nibs, and their classic "Pistachio" made with Italian Bronte pistachios. The pistachio flavor is smooth, rich and a bit savory; such a taste treat. Venchi Century City is their first store in Los Angeles. They call the store a "Chocogelateria" because they sell Italian gelato and chocolate. The store is brightly lit and beautiful inside with lots of displays and chocolates and nice gift boxes. Great service and they beautifully wrapped up a large "plank" of fresh chocolate that I purchased. Venchi has over 140 years of history, starting in Vanchiglia (Turin) Italy. They claim to have 350 chocolate recipes and 90 gelato flavors in their archives. A lot of the ingredients in their gelato and chocolate are sourced from Italy like Piedmont hazelnuts, pistachio from Bronte, and Sicilian almonds. The gelato is freshly made everyday and they also have vegan options. Parking in Westfield Century City mall without validation is free for one hour. This store does not validate parking. read more

The two women working behind the counter said we had to pay prior to having ANY samples. I was really looking forward to having a sweet treat at the mall. I saw this gelato place and decided to try it. The lady at the register was explaining to me about the different types of sizes and after I ordered I waited to try a sample. When I asked her if I could try the Tuscan crème (which I was looking forward to trying) she gave me lemon. I said "is this Tuscan crème?" After showing the 'Coming Soon' sign for awhile, finally the Venchi outlet in Westfield Century City opened its door and I was beyond excited!! I knew their chocolate was basically sold in Eataly as well, but I tried multiple times and somehow felt it wasn't as fresh as the ones I tried in different Venchi outlets before, like those in London and New York. Besides, this outlet was huge and carried a ton of menu like gelato, more variants of truffles, pralines, chocolate bars, and spreads! They even offered special flavors I had never seen before so chocolate holic like me was certainly blown away especially boosted by the well-lit chocolate wall. You might love this, they offered bunch of samples so you could try it out before deciding your purchase, and they had plenty of highly attentive staffs. Not sure how they can survive when Bacio on the same floor has way better gelato and Laderach which is just a few feet from them has way better chocolate.
