I am now without glasses because I have placed an order with this location three separate times for new lenses and they repeatedly have "forgotten" my order. I have had no glasses since September 2025- it's now January 2026. I give up- I will be shopping elsewhere and I recommend you do too. They act like subpar bartenders while they work in healthcare. I'm super disappointed. I will be shopping elsewhere after 10 years with MyEyeDr.

Luckily, my insurance was accepted and I was able to get an appointment same day in the afternoon. Josh is the person who took care of my needs. He was so easy to talk to, personable, & informative. He had a good vibe & made my experience absolutely seamless. Even went over my insurance policy in detail. He prepped me for Dr. Kaur who was not only adorable, but also very kind. I felt at ease immediately, she has a very gentle touch. Josh was forever patient when it came to helping me choose my frames even though I was beyond indecisive and most likely a little annoying lol. He was a good sport and laughed at my corny jokes. We finally came to a conclusion after some additional help with Dr Kaur. Even without insurance this place is affordable so don't hesitate to walk in! Can't wait to rock my new glasses. :)

Dr. Shetty is so wonderful! My previous eyecare specialist was such a disaster that this eye clinic…read moretook me by total surprise by going above and beyond! He was the first Optometrist I've seen that listened to my issues with my high astigmatism and how prior docs just tried to force me into over-correcting my eyes and refusing to adjust my lenses despite my getting headaches! He took great care to make sure this didn't happen for me. In fact he said that my vision was pretty stable so no need to change too much. I was absolutely blown away when Dr. Shetty stayed after hours over 15 minutes - sitting by himself in the office to wait for me to pick up my glasses! I did everything in my power to get out of work as early as possible to pick them up before the 6pm closing time, but I work in a clinic and many times this isn't possible, especially coming from The Bronx. Knowing my crazy work hours and travel, he understood this and went above and beyond in accommodating to make sure I get my lenses, without any attitude or condescending remarks! That was incredibly kind. Most business owners wouldn't care the least bit and shut the door. Dr. Shetty is definitely a one of a kind, and very caring eye doctor. Will definitely keep him! He said it wasn't the frames, it was that my eyes were mis-aligned and he could correct for that with prism lenses. Wow, what a difference! The optometrist was fastidious and very professional, offering excellent service and forms needed for DMV. They helped me complete the forms needed to obtain services reimbursement from my insurance company. Then I gave the new eyeglasses prescriptions to the optician next door at Costco Optical for processing and payment so my new eyeglasses could be ready soon. They also helped me complete the forms needed to obtain eyeglasses reimbursement from my insurance company. Costco Optical opticians were also friendly and helpful.

While waiting for the doctor to arrive i noticed how the shop was not well maintained, it seemed dingy and you can see old water stains on the walls. The Doctor came into the shop in a huff (maybe because he was late) and scuttled into the back. When he opened for us we threw on the charm and his attitude changed for the better, in fact i likes the guy - he seemed sweet and knowledgeable. When conducting the eye exam, I thought it was odd that he didn't do the glaucoma test (or any other test aside from the "is 1 better or 2") and when I asked about it he responded with "do you have diabetes?". It was odd but we went forward and he wrote down a prescription. I inquired about mine, as someone who has worn some kind of contact lenses and/or glasses for 20+ years, i thought it was interesting that my script went from minor to almost non existent - my husbands as well. Then it got weird and he was like defensive when we were honest about wanting to obtain our scripts and shop around. The people behind the counter (a younger woman and an middle aged woman) were nice, showed me a few frames and were very pleasant. However, as nice as they were, after ordering glasses, we discovered both our scripts were WRONG! So the primary function of our visit was bull in void.

Very friendly professional customer service as the gentleman who helped me was grabbing frame after frame from the display case until he found the one that would work well fitting on to my lenses which required a little cutting and what not . They were ready the next day and Cost was reasonable for the modern frames that are better then the old ones . The price for the contacts exam was the most affordable I found around the area and it included many follow up appointments since it took me a while to adjust to the new formula. They provided me with all of the trials needed and were very patient. Regarding the glasses, they made sure I had just the right formula and that I felt comfortable with them. He also recommended the brand id like to stay with and although I understand it's a business, I loved the recommended contact lenses - I was given about a week's worth of trial contacts (Acuvue Oasys Max). Shelly was the staff who assisted in ordering my contacts - she was so helpful and friendly. She even gave me recommendations of things to do in queens. Very friendly staff, and everything was easy. They were flexible in payment and let me split my payment. I picked up the contacts once I completed payment.
