No food service when I've been there so I guess it's not a thing, but I go for drinks and football. Plenty of seats and TVs. A lot of pool tables. An air hockey table. Karaoke. Even a mini arcade. We discovered The Warehouse when searching for a Vikings bar after moving to Austin. We have only come here for Vikings games, but have really enjoyed it! It's a fun dive-type sports bar with a bit more to offer than your typical dive, including karaoke, darts, and lots of billiards tables. There is a dedicated seating section and big-screen TV for Vikings fans, complete with memorabilia and a giant inflatable Viking. The owner is a Vikings fan and comes around to talk to all the patrons. He remembers the names of all the regulars and tries to get to know all the new faces. They do drawings for merchandise during the games as well. The drinks are pretty inexpensive, but the beer selection is not great, which is my biggest qualm. I'd like to drink something better than Fireman's #4 for once! Service can be spotty. Some servers are friendly and great, some could care less about that empty glass that's been sitting at your table for 25 minutes. As vegans, we haven't tried any of the food offerings, but we never expect to eat at bars anyways! This is a fun bar, and the good staff and great owner make it worth coming back, even if you're not a Vikings fan. read more

Came here Fri night 9/29/17 with some friends. Sat at a table, ordered a Jameson neat, it was a half ounce pour maybe less. There were 6 of us huddled around this table and we all examined the glass carefully. The girls kept asking me if I had taken a sip. No, I did not. I'm ok with the $6 Jameson that is a fair price but not for a half ounce cmon man. This place use to be a neighborhood bar just a few years ago. Cold beer and properly poured whiskey. I've been Austin for almost 10 yr and this place has completely changed. Before I wouldn't have stepped foot in this place by myself. Now, it has become my local hang out where I can feel safe going...even by myself. Multiple tvs with sports always on,numerous tables, and good music...it's got a good vibe. Not to mention they have a killer special on Thursday on craft beers. $2 for a Thirsty Goat?!? That's insane... but right on par with my ever shrinking budget as it nears the end of the week and payday. The management is great and the staff are attentive yet sassy but always classy. Great sports bar & pool hall. TONS of TV's, tons of pool tables, the place is massive. Great to go with a big group, you'll almost always be able to grab a nice area all to yourself with your own TV and pool table. Staff is always nearby and on-hand to order drinks and pitchers. I'm a regular....this is the main place I go to to drink beers and shoot pool. The tables are generally in great shape - they refelt them regularly, they're level, and the rails are good. The drinks feel a little pricey, but everything seems pricey when you get older like me, so that's subjective. They also have regular pool tournaments with quality players, if you're into that. The staff is friendly and generally delivers fairly quick service, but they can get busy and not show up for awhile, so catch them when they come by. My only substantive complaint is that there's currently a lack of bridge sticks at the tables - and it's a nuisance to wander around trying to find a bridge stick at someone else's table, not to mention disrupting their game. Last night, I had to check under five 9' tables to find one. Please put some more out! read more

Just leaving the warehouse saloon, which i have been frequenting for 21 years as a lifetime resident of austin, tx! I loved and enjoyed this venue. However, witnessed biased and partial favoritism by the dj running karaoke night. It has always beem, show up first, sign up, you get to sing. I was bumped several times by first timers because i sung once, prior. Another lady was on her 3rd set when i approached the dj to express my displeasure in the matter. went in on a wednesday night for free pool, everything was fine until we checked out. the waitstaff gave me someone else's card & charged me for their tab. i didn't notice until thursday & contacted warehouse only to get a response friday. i found the other card holder myself & we met again at ware house on friday at 3 because their hours say the open at noon yet the door was locked. messaged warehouse to fix the charges & no response. now it's monday & they haven't done anything to help. disappointing because i used to love this place but someone could've stolen my money or identity. read more

When you walk in you turn to the left and you have four choices. Play darts, order a drink at the bar, go sit at a table and watch a game on the screen, or go all the way into a room full of pool tables. Oh and i forgot the mini arcade section. This place reminds me of an upperscale Backroom. Remember that place? R.I.P. (sniff sniff) The bartenders and staff are cool. One of those places you can come wearing jeans and white T, Slacks with tie if you want, or "just got out of work" clothes. I went there one day on a Mid Thursday afternoon. About 8 people were there and all knew the bartender and he knew them. One of those "I got ya' Bitch!" type of joints. Once you come once you dont mind coming back. Even for a beer or two. The beer selection isnt that broad. But hey people who come here are for three things. Play pool with buddies, watch a game, or just get a few drinks in. I am a Packer fan and met a friend at the Warehouse to watch the Packer vs. Vikings. Despite being the only cheesehead in the building it felt like I was at home. The Viking fans were all nice or at least it didn't make me feel like I was among idiot Viking fans at the Dome, however the trough urinal made me feel like I was at the Dome! There was one older Viking fan who organized a drawing and also had his own Viking inflatable football player in the corner. The Viking fans there seem like the all know each other. The bar itself was dark and not the most current, but the servers were awesome and always making their rounds even when drinks weren't needed. Drinks were very responsible priced. There's a food truck outside that has very good food. There were a group of Bears fans also watching their game in another part of the bar, but again everyone was friendly and respected the other fans teams. I would give this place a 5 if it were updated a bit, however I'd recommend this place anytime to watch football on Sundays and would definitely go back...even though I was the lone cheesehead! read more

My first impression was not great, as it's dark and certainly not fancy or modern, but after a little while I was amazed by what they offer for very reasonable prices. Apparently one of the trashiest bars in Austin now has a dress code. I was kicked out (100% sober)as I walked in for wearing a tank top in the summer in Austin TX, however my friends (who left with me) were fine with their spaghetti straps and being covered in paint? What the hell? I live in the neighborhood, but I don't guess I'll be going here anymore. Anyway in other news this place has always been kinda gross, but at least the drinks used to be cheap, from what I hear that's not the case anymore, avoid it re:response below, and I don't see any other way to publicly respond I work in bars for a living, I understand there are frequently reasons to ask people to leave, but let me be clear, I walked in with 3 other people, 2 girls in spaghetti straps and one in business casual for happy hour, we were having a quiet conversation as we walked to the bar, I was then asked to change shirts or leave by your bartender, which I did, so clearly your bartender is not aware of your dress code.
