    AYCE KBBQ
    Alisa B.

Amazing ambiance, and I'm grateful that there's a KBBQ + hot pot place in Foster City! However, the quality really fell short for me and my group. Let me start with the KBBQ, the brisket was shockingly lean... like scary.... No fat content AT ALL. I do not recommend. Definitely go for the beef toro and pork belly instead. Bulgogi was decent as well. My favorite was the marinated boneless short ribs! Marbled and tender. And for the hot pot... the veggies were really fresh! Loved the mushroom and tofu options... but OH MY GOD. The broth... tom yum was not good. Bland and too sour. It did have a good spicy kick to it though. The "broth refills" also looked like straight up water... scary once again. FYI - The biggest tables they have are for 8 people!

Last time we went here was 4 yrs ago and I totally forgot about it coz we have moved to a new place. It was Chinese New Year and been craving for a Korean bbq AYCE style. Came back now and totally surprised that it's still around. I don't mean that it's bad but glad it was still existing is what I meant. I love the spacious setting, and they also have another room good for private events as well. Great decor and really clean. The water view is so calming and relaxing while eating. Price is very reasonable. It came to about $40-45 pp including gratuity and having both option for kbbq and hotpot. For additional $3 you can have the hotpot on top of the kbbq so why not right? One thing I like here is that the reservations not required and the Noise level was quiet, easy to talk. We came on a Sunday 12:30 and not a long wait since there's a lot of open tables. Staff are pleasant and fast too! Even though they were short on people the service was fast and I was amazed. Recommendation for vegetarians is Somewhat recommendable. Parking space has plenty of parking. There's a bunch of different restaurants and coffee shops in the area too. Parking options is its a free parking lot. So I highly recommend this place. Will come back again.

When one of my relatives suggested coming to Warehouse Buffet for lunch, I got pretty excited for a whole variety of reasons. First and foremost, it's always fun to get together with the fam. What's more, I'm never going to say "no" to AYCE Korean BBQ and hot pot (which is always a good combination) and the chance to check out a place I had heard good things about. However, another underrated reason I was so happy to come here is that I have admittedly odd affinity for this complex. You never know for certain whether a restaurant's food will be good or not, but for the ones here, at least you can count on getting a pretty nice view of Foster City's lagoon! Much like Seapot in Daly City, Warehouse Buffet offers up an AYCE hot pot with the option to add on Korean BBQ for a small upcharge. However, despite their name, it's not really a buffet. Yes, they do have an area where you can load up a plate with their variety of banchan items (kimchi, fishcake, seaweed salad, etc.), sides (salad, japchae, edamame, etc.), fruits, and desserts, as well as a sauce bar for you to create your own dipping concoction. Otherwise, all of their hot pot and Korean BBQ offerings need to be marked on a menu and handed to a server for them to bring out. That being said, they've got a wide variety to choose from! Even though we came here for lunch, because it was on a weekend, the price ended up being the same as what they charge for dinner ($34.99 + $5 to also do Korean BBQ). Something to be aware of if you're looking for their lunch price ($24.99 on weekdays only), but we were fine with it since we knew ahead of time. Plus, we didn't mind getting the chance to try more of what they have to offer - ten types of hot pot broths and over sixty different meats, seafood, noodles, fishballs, and tofu along with another three dozen options on the Korean BBQ menu. Not that their lunch menu is tiny considering how it has the same ten broths, nearly fifty options for hot pot, and another two dozen more for Korean BBQ. They also have sushi rolls on a separate menu, too! Given the sheer volume of everything they have, it should come as no surprise that we were only able to try a fraction of it all. Of what I did eat, nothing was bad, but most were just okay. On the Korean BBQ side, I thought the CHADOL (Brisket), BEEF BULGOGI, and WOO BEASAL (Thinly Sliced Beef Belly) were great while the AUSTRALIAN LAMB, RIBEYE, and ANGUS BEEF were our favorites from the hot pot menu. That being said, the quality of a handful of things wasn't the greatest. Most notably, the color of the BONELESS BEEF SHORT RIBS was oddly dark, the NY STEAK was a bit pale, and the second plate of PORK BELLY we got was super fatty. Beyond the food, as well as the awesome tableside view we had of the water, the thing I liked most about Warehouse Buffet was the service. In particular, our (main) server was terrific - not only was he very friendly, but what we appreciated most was how often he came by to take our orders and how he encouraged us to stay as long as we'd like. Which was a refreshing change from how tightly other places enforce their time limits (to be fair, it was the end of their lunch hours and there was no shortage of open tables, but still). All in all, THREE AND A HALF STARS would be perfect if I could, but Warehouse Buffet is closer to three than four. Despite how often our server came by, it still felt like we had stretches were we ran out of things to either grill or drop into our pots. If they had a belt or a station to grab hot pot items on our own, this would probably four stars instead. Either way, at least the view was awesome!

This restaurant, located beside the most beautiful inland lake in the Bay Area, offers a clean and atmospheric environment both inside and out. Inside the restaurant, there are private dining rooms, all-you-can-eat barbecue, and all-you-can-eat hot pot. There are also large televisions and a bar area, which are especially popular with Americans who enjoy watching sports and drinking. In terms of food, the meat options included in the all-you-can-eat menu are not particularly outstanding. The meats available for an additional charge may offer better texture and taste. However, overall, the barbecue and hot pot selections, including both vegetables and meats, are above average compared to the general market. The price is also very reasonable. Lunch all-you-can-eat is under $25 per person, and dinner is under $30 per person. The staff are friendly and helpful. Combined with the quality of the food and the surrounding atmosphere, dining here while enjoying the scenic inland views of Foster City is something I highly recommend to food lovers in the Bay Area.

This is for the KBBQ dining option: are you going to get super high quality meats here for $35? Definitely not, but there honestly aren't many other KBBQ restaurants in the Bay Area that's going to offer such competitive pricing like this in the post-COVID era, especially for AYCE. My friends and I arrived around 2:30pm this past Saturday and there was very little people. I've been here before at peak dinner hours and it can get quite packed and noisy so time your visit wisely. I've always appreciated the decor here, definitely a lot of thought was put into it, as well as the lake view. If there is availability, I always request to sit by the window. Restrooms are also clean and easy to find, located next to the entrance/exit. As I mentioned earlier, the meats (as well as the other appetizer options) weren't amazing quality but you get what you pay for! They're tasty and marinated enough, and I always enjoy my meal here. My favorite is the spicy samgyeopsal. Sauce and appetizer station and desserts were well stocked. Plenty of options for every diner. Frequent grill changes which was appreciated. This time around, the chicken bulgogi took a bit longer to come out - we had to ask a couple times for it and when it finally arrived, the taste was inconsistent between orders. We also received random meats that we didn't order and we weren't sure what they were. Seemed like the staff was a bit unsure too. We don't have any food allergies and cooked them anyway so not a huge deal. At this time, it wasn't that busy still so better coordination here would be nice. Overall, a positive dining experience with speedy and friendly service. Will continue to come here for my AYCE KBBQ fix!

This place is decent for all you can eat hotpot and Korean bbq for the price of $34.99 each person and additional for the combo for both. It was worth it when you can eat past at least 3 rounds . Appetizers included: Garlic fries, potstickers , popcorn chicken was nicely crispy . I really like the eggrolls too! Favorite meat: Galbi beef short ribs, my steak, beef bulgogi! -tender and good with sauces The hotpot was good! I had the Tom yum base for the soup added beef Toro, shrimp, quail eggs, enoki mushrooms, vegetables with udon first round and instant ramen noodles the next round . Love the variety! The fact that they had the desserts and sauces bar was a great complimentary along with the combo all you can eat Korean bbq and hotpot. The waterfront view was a plus! Busy on a Saturday with parking lot completely packed in the same plaza.

Aaahhh this was such a wonderful experience for me and my family! We did the AYCE hotpot, and everything was delicious. This was our first time trying individual pots, which was fun. We ordered the pork broth, tomyum soup, the herbal soup, and a water-based soup. I was bummed that they didn't offer a completely vegetarian soup (or maybe our server was unaware?). We got to make our own sauces in a buffet-style set up. I usually put satay sauce in mine, but they didn't have that. My sauce was still yummy though! We ordered a ton of pork belly, lamb, beef belly, fish, tripe, ribeye, and clams, as well as veggies and noodles. The only thing that I wasn't a huge fan of was the ribeye. Our server was wonderful! He sang beautifully, brought a little dessert for the birthday girl, and chatted it up with us in different Chinese dialects! He didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about vegetarian accommodations, but he made an effort. I would highly recommend this restaurant for birthdays--it's FREE! Just make sure you bring ID.

$23.99 for AYCE! SAY LESS! I came here on a weekday with no wait. When we sat down, they asked what kind of broth, veggies and meats we wanted. They have a condiment bar where you can create your own sauce! They also have fruits and desserts. As you're eating, you get to look out to a lake. Sometimes you'll see someone rowing on the lake.

The meat here did not seem fresh and it was a very average KBBQ experience. They also have both hotpot and BBQ option, which is a bit suspicious in my opinion. They're definitely using the same meat for both. The beef tasted really thick and difficult to chew at times. The color of the raw meat also seemed wrong. It came to our table as a brown color. The server explained that it was because it was marinated but I've had marinated meat at other places and it was definitely not this color. I will say the price for All You Can Eat is only $32, which is a lot better than some places but there's good reason for that. If you're really hungry for KBBQ, come here for a mediocre time but don't expect high quality service or food.

Nice service and it's a good deal if you are hungry. Beautiful waterfront views. The food is decent for All You Can Eat. Good variety of options for DIY sauces, side dishes, and you can select 10 items for lunch. I wish the veggie and tofu combo listed what it comes with on the menu so we wouldn't have wasted some of our selections on duplicate items. The herbal broth, miso broth, and pork bone broth were all tasty. We were offered soup refilled many times, which was a sign of the great service. Seniors are 20% off and kids are half off.

A special thank you to Andrew for making the birthday meal that proved it.   Inside: The atmosphere is unlike any KBBQ restaurant I have visited.  The dining room makes you recalibrate what a KBBQ place is supposed to be. More than 20 projectors work in concert to wash the walls in shifting, cinematic light of various scenes.  Ditching the fluorescent and exhaust fan aesthetic that defines your standard KBBQ experience. It's a theater built around the grill that only adds to the food you are about to experience. Service: The service was just as impressive as the food. This wasn't a crew reciting menu descriptions, they understood grain, fat content, and ideal timing on the grill for each cut, and they hovered with the quiet vigilance of people who've clearly been trained by someone who takes it personally. It felt less like being served and more like being guided, which is a rarer thing at a KBBQ table than it should be.   Food: The only downside is that this meal may have ruined every other KBBQ spot for me. After years of dining at well-known Korean BBQ restaurants in LA's Koreatown and trying several places throughout the Bay Area, this was easily the best quality I have encountered. We went with the Olhso Signature spread, and two cuts stood out: the Wagyu Ribeye, marbled in a way that you only see on photos in the menu, and the Beef Tongue, sliced thin and grilled to a perfect level. The Beef Tartare was its own quiet argument for the kitchen's range. There was no need to compete for the best piece of meat at the table because every bite delivered. The banchan was excellent as well, and I am still thinking about the kimchi stew. Olhso House isn't reinventing Korean BBQ.  It's reminding you what the form was always capable of when someone with a passion is behind it.  Some birthdays you remember for the cake. I expected more seafood based on other reels and information I saw but the selection was still good. Ambiance was great, very modern with a small bar out in the front section of the restaurant. This is a bbq spot, but you have the option of cooking yourself or have a designated waiter do the cooking. The presentation is impressive, definitely a lot of details. The bon chon was good but a bit underwhelming in my opinion. No japchae?! Apparently you have to order the actual dish if you want it. They have pre-set sets you can choose from as well as entrees, appetizers and soups. We ordered the 2nd set, it came with two soups (tofu) as well as a good selection of meats. The waitstaff is young but well trained, we had no issues with service. You get complimentary dole whip for dessert, the machine is quite finicky though so it can be hit or miss if you get to have it. We told it went out of service (after we saw everyone else get it) then luckily they got it to work right before we called it quits! Worth it!) Definitely a place to try at least once.

This is probably the worst Gyu-Kaku spot I've been to in the Bay Area. First the positive: the meats are tasty but some cuts felt very smaller compared to other chain locations. I came here with a reservation for 5:45 on a Saturday and was promptly seated. The ordering process was fast, but anything beyond that was an absolute SLOG. We ordered a value meal and hangar steak during happy hour, and the vegetables and soups came out at a decent pace. We then proceeded to wait about 20 minutes before waving over a manager to ask about our mere SEVEN plates of beef! SIX plates came and you might be wondering why I'm missing one. That's because our waiter forgot our hangar steak and midway through our meal, I had to double check with my waiter to make sure I wasn't tripping. Turns out I wasn't, and they served me my steak instantly. Weird how it took 20mins for some raw meat to come out, but I guess after escalating to a manager our meats came out promptly. This chain establishment can get a pass on its slow service. But let's talk about grill changes. No one came by for a grill change when clearly the flames were getting big from the oil and grease in the meats, and the top being absolutely blackened. We had to flag down the manager again since we did not see one person carrying grill changes. The only time they appeared promptly without asking is when they cleared our table. After receiving the check they started to wipe where I was resting my arms before I even had time to gather my belongings. Let that sink in. Overall this place absolutely stunk in terms of service and overall experience. At least Gyu-Kaku has great quality control on their meats and flavors, but the service here is very, very lacking. I will probably not come back to this establishment.
