This Bay Area business was at the right place at the right time! We were here early for the Elk Grove Asian Pacific Culturefest & my wife had been having strong galbi cravings lately. There was another Korean foodie tent but this particular one was one we have had several times before in Sacramento bc my wife had followed them on IG. So instead of going to a brick & mortar Korean restaurant in Sacramento we took advantage! She ordered the Kalbi shortrib plate with cucumber salad no rice as they didn't have that ready but my wife no longer eats rice anyway. They had that order ready in five minutes to go! Yes nicely wrapped and ready to eat! My wife was in Galbi Heaven especially since the entree was still warm when we got home! Woohoo was she happy & satisfied! She even contemplated going back but she said she better not! She kept wavering back & forth in her mind as they were in town for 6 hours but they are known to sell out! Healthwise it was a one shot deal if you know what I mean! LOLOLOL this business' ambiance is clean and organized! Get in my belly foodie food is always satisfying! YES!!!! Yummy goodness...

I had the short ribs, garlic noodles, rice and pickled cucumbers(?) for our church event for our youth, and it was really fabulous. The marinade is tasty. Would like to try the chicken next time Salamat Po!

More like 3.5 Stars. Ordered 2 Combo plates. First combo had St Louis BBQ ribs and Grilled Pork Belly. Second combo was with Garlic Shrimp and Kalb8 Short ribs. Side dishes were garlic noodles and Java rice. Also came with cucumber salad. All of the meats were nicely marinated. The Pork Belly had more of a savory taste with milder flavor. Hint of sweetness and salty but mild enough that the pork taste was still prominent. Layer of fat and leaner meat were in good proportion. Came with a side of dipping sauce. Tasty. The St Louis Ribs also had the same profile of flavor, sweet salty but with hint of vinegar like flavor from the sauce. More sweet than salty. Stronger flavor than the pork belly. Meat was tender. Did not need to use a knife to cut through it. Came with 2 pieces of ribs. Also good. The Kalbi short ribs was sweet salty but with soy sauce flavor. Meat was not as tender as the first two. It had more of a chew to it. Good but not as good as the first two meats. The Garlic Shrimp was just ok. Wish it had a stronger garlic taste. Glad that it's already peeled. The cucumber salad was really good. It's more like pickled cucumber. Perfect side to balance all the meat flavor. The Java Rice was undercooked. Hard and dry. The grains looked like they need more water and cooking time. Garlic noodles was also ok. Needs more garlic but noodles were al dente. On the pricey side especially for the size of serving portions. Took about 20 min to get the food after ordering. Nice friendly staff.

I loved the pork belly and garlic shrimp! The garlic noodles were lacking in garlic flavor but everyone was stopping me to ask where I got my plate from. The entire 2 item plate was $28 so quite pricey

LOVE LOVE LOVE working with GIM Belly!!! Firstly, they are kind, warm, caring people. They bring the smiles non-stop and if they are ever feeling the pressure of running a great meal service, you'd NEVER know. Oh and their galbi ribs - simply the best: flavor, tender and juicy texture, fat/lean balance...none better. The grilled garlic prawns - garlic noodles are the stuff of dreams. First tried them at a food festival and my hubby and I were so impressed, we asked them to cater my non-profit's largest annual gala. Stakes were high as it was our biggest event where for the first time, we were hosting an incredible array of VIPs. GIM Belly knocked it out of the park bases loaded: professionalism, communication, meal service, thoughtfulness and kindness. Firstly they came super early to set up. And the setup - so professional and beautiful. I enclosed a short vid of of part of the food station below. We did not ask for the gorgeous vases of flowers, or the hand rolled (compostable!) utensils or heat lamps to serve meals and keep them warm while Customers waited. They thoughtfully did this themselves. We were wowed before the meal service even started. The food was incredible and you can see all the other photos from other posters on how amazing it is. What I want to share is that consistency is key - every meal is delicious and they exceeded expectations. Additionally they brought the same energy through their staff - equally professional, helpful and kind. Singing GIM Belly's praises is wonderful and working with them is the blessing you need. THANK YOU GIM BELLY TEAM !!! We can't wait to work with you again!

I smelled the food at the Sunset Night Market and knew I need to try this. My friend and I shared the combo plate. We ordered the garlic noodles with garlic shrimp and ribs. They gave us 3 pieces of ribs and 3 pieces of shrimp for $27. Everything was really yummy and it felt so good to eat freshly grilled bbq. The smoke smelled so good and the food was hot (in temperature) instead of the ready made food. Definitely would recommend! I'm so happy I got to try this. Other reviews said they need to buy a ticket at Foodieland to try this!

Get In My Belly had a food stand at the North Beach Festival in SF this past weekend, and watching them grill the meats out front, I couldn't resist. Got the grilled pork belly dish with java rice, the portions were perfectly filling, and the bite-sized pork belly pieces were delicious, a bit of fat to add to the taste, juicy, tender, made just right. Service was efficient, hardly any waits, and I appreciated the easy-to-read menu with pictures... not much more I could ask for.

I got to try this place this weekend at the North Beach festival. I was craving something saucy, and this definitely hit the spot. I got the barbecue chicken with garlic noodles and rice. The garlic noodles were so good and flavorful however, I feel like the rice was lacking in flavor so I didn't eat all of it. They give you a pretty hefty portion as the price is $20, definitely worth trying!

I was able to finally try this food truck at the water lantern festival in San Jose. I got the BBQ chicken with Garlic Noodles and it was really good! The food came out quick, the bowl had an impressive portion, and the person that took my order was super friendly! Would definitely try this food truck again.

The dishes had great flavor but the pork belly was my favorite. The rub was tender and plentiful.

I came across gim belly bbq at the 626 night market near the great mall. Tried a variety of stuff at the market and gim was the major stand out. This place needs a restaurant!! Because if they had one, i would be back for round 2 the next day ;). Bbq ribs 5/5: not covered in sauce like most bbq ribs but perfectly so. The taste was lighter than most ribs but still more flavorful somehow. Meat was super tender. Garlic shrimp 5/5: shrimp tasted amazing too! Garlic noodles 5/5: dont know how they make these so good but best garlic noodles ive had and im craving for more already. Rice: 4/5 still good, light taste, but mayb not as addicting as everything else.

    Those ribs!

Found out about GIM "Get In My" Belly BBQ from the NorCal Kababayan Community food pop up at Capitol Corridor Amtrak station in Hayward. Various Filipino Food vendors but this one stood out as I love barbecue! Nice, sweet Asian-style glazed ribs that were super tender and flavorful. Next time I'll opt to get the sauce on the side as I'm not one to use a lot of sweet sauces. Will definitely try their other dishes like the Hawaiian garlic shrimp or honey-glazed salmon but for this first try was a solid 4 stars. Food delicious and reasonably priced at $13. Will have to check FB or IG for their next event as they were part of the Fil-Am Bay Area Backyard Movement (fka Fil-Am Bay Area Popup) over the weekend but missed. Definitely a yummy food vendor worth following

It's a Mexican chain from AZ (popular I think, they have like 53K followers on Instagram), and they just opened multiple locations in Bay Area, so this time I decide to finally give it a try. I ordered the Tripa Mulitas, Torta, and Horchata drink, Mulitas was $7, Torta $14, and Horchata was $7. They're all delicious, I was actually shocked at the first bite because I didn't know Mexican food could be this great (like I ate at a lot of Mexican place before, but this place is just chef's kiss). You seriously have to try their torta!! It has grilled meat, cheese, avocado, lettuce and tomato, all packed in there. Together with their green sauce, red sauce and some of the onion & jalapeno salad, I'm good for the whole day. The flavors are just so authentic and hit the spot perfectly. I totally get why there is always a line now. They officially converted me into a regular from today! If you see a crowd, just jump in line, it's worth the wait.

I had just flown in that day from Houston and I wanted dinner, but I was on central time and ready to go to bed early, so I didn't want to sit down in an actual restaurant. A food truck, not to mention a highly rated food truck was the perfect solution for what I needed. I couldn't resist the NYC Chicken Tikka Masala, because I enjoy all four words of that dish, so what could go wrong? The guy made it for me and handed me this thick boy to-go box, which I promptly walked to my rental car and opened up to see a 10/10 visually appealing heaping meal. And then I took a bite and.... where was the flavor? I took another bite. Same thing. And another. And another. Bland tikka masala?? How does this happen? After I had several bites, I came to the conclusion that it tasted like chicken dipped into water. There was literally no taste to the sauce. Was an ingredient forgotten? Did I come to close to closing time (30 minutes)? I really don't know. I enjoyed the pita bread and the salad concoction, but I will forever be bummed thinking about the alternative places I almost visited before choosing to grab dinner here.

Every few blocks on this stretch of Alum Rock Avenue has a similar setup: A truck/food stand for mainly to-go orders with very limited seatings. Damian's is located inside a plaza on Alum Rock and should be easy to spot. There's a cart stocked with cilantros, onions, limes, salsas, jalapeños, and grilled onions that you can add onto your tacos, as well as ketchup and mustard for your hot dogs. Their tacos are $2.50 each with the exception of Lengua which is $3. They also offer bacon wrapped hot dogs for $4. We tried.. Pastor - This one was okay. Not bad but nothing special. Chuleta - I've never heard of this until now, but it's smoked pork chops. It tasted like bacon and was surprisingly good. Would recommend. Tripa - I didn't have any, but the boyfriend said it's the best tripa tacos he's had. Most places don't offer tripa, and the places that do offer it cook it a little too crispy. He said this one was the perfect balance of chewy and crispy. Would recommend. Cabeza - This is my favorite taco meat and they did not disappoint. Soft, juicy, tender. Would recommend. Lengua - Their lengua obviously has been braised for a long time. Most lengua is a little chewy but this one melts in your mouth. Unfortunately we prefer our lengua with a slight chew but this was still good depending on your preference. So tldr: Would recommend the cabeza and tripa tacos, and give the chuleta tacos a try if you like bacon. They're cash only so be sure to bring cash.

My husband and I got the veggie chow mein, veggie momos (dumplings), and split a mango lassi. I found the flavors of the momos to be a bit subtle (unfortunately common for veggie dumplings here in the Bay Area), but the veggie chow mein was decently flavorful. My husband liked both things we got equally, as far as I could tell. The food tasted fresh, and it was nice to be able to pick up a light lunch before continuing to trawl the farmer's market. The mango lassi is exactly what you expect (can you ever go wrong with a mango lassi?), and was nice and refreshing. It's a food truck, so the seating available is probably going to vary a lot based on where you encounter them. At the Fremont farmer's market there were a couple of tables shared between this and another truck, and since we were having a late-ish lunch towards the end of the market, we had no problem getting a table (but there was no chairs).
