I had wanted to try this place out for a while, but I was a bit intimidated and it was difficult to find the time as they are only open during the week. My only regret was not trying this place sooner. They only do walk-ins and the wait is made much more tolerable by the availability of water, coffee, and beer in the waiting area. It is very evident these guys enjoy what they do and who they do it with. They are very nice, entertaining, and do a fantastic job. It is more expensive than I would typically spend, but I would absolutely recommend this place for a special haircut. read more

Best barber shop I've been to! Super friendly staff, chill waiting area, and wonderful, old school ambiance. There's not many places you can sit back and have a Hamm's while you wait for your cut. (It's free, take one.) Walk-ins only, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. I went on a Thursday after work and it was about 45 minutes. After seeing the haircut from Casey, I'd have waited a couple hours. Did exactly as asked, which is hard to find these days, and his attention to detail was much appreciated. They accept card, although cash is greatly preferred. Will be coming back for my next haircut and many more! read more

As I sit here with a finely manicured beard and fade (shoutout to Justin), I can say that the environment was top notch and they always make you feel at home. Used to get $70 haircuts and now go to this barbershop and like the results better. Only negative is that they are so popular that there is always a wait. Last time I was here I was shot with a nerf gun, given beer, and was told hilarious stories while I waited. There's no better place to get a quality haircut, and beard trim in my case. And there is also no better place to be waiting for a haircut. Awesome business. Everything is great, from the atmosphere to the service. My husband drops in, and for a fair price, gets an amazing beard manicure. He comes home looking like he walked right out of a civil war soldier portrait. The place is tiny, and has ONE CHAIR. That means, be prepared for a wait. Many folks have discovered this place, so it's often crowded. If you don't want a wait, I suggest arriving 5-10 minutes before they open. read more

I walked in at 7:15PM (Hours state they're open until 8) and I was turned away because they guy at the desk said they were closed. Seems silly to turn away business 45min before close. I've been going to Warfleigh since they opened and have watched them grow from one chair off of Rock Lobster to 5 chairs that are constantly full. The shop is stacked with talented barbers who know how to give you a legit cut. You will likely have to wait but it goes quickly and the atmosphere of the shop makes it a pleasant place to wait. I have been trying to figure out where to take my son for his first haircut. He's not even two years old, and has never experienced a cut before (besides me just trimming the hair out of his eyes). I considered taking him to one of the "cookie cutter" kid places in Carmel, but my preference is to support a local business if at all possible. I was taking my son for a walk, and asked Ray behind the counter if they thought they could cut his hair. They gave me a thumbs up, and we put our name on the list. There were two people ahead of us waiting, and I was a little worried that my son would not be on board with waiting in line, but it wasn't long before it was our turn. Cody was our barber, and offered my son a cool skateboard to sit on, which my son quickly determined he wouldn't touch. I had to sit with him on my lap, while Cody worked. Cody was incredibly sweet and patient with my son, and the whole experience was wonderful. The cut is great, and a significant improvement over the wild mane he was rocking before. He doesn't look like a little man, but appropriately like my little baby all cleaned up. They gave us an adorable "My First Haircut" certificate to commemorate the experience, along with a lock of his hair affixed to the certificate. They accept apple pay which made payment easier since I didn't have my wallet with me. Overall this was a great experience, and I will be back once his hair grows too long again. read more

I love this place and don't get me wrong I get a great cut almost every time I go there. The problem is their business model. The walk in only policy will be the reason that I stop going to this shop. I am very particular about my appearance and my hair is very important to me. When I find someone that gives me a good cut, that is the only person I trust to cut my hair. The problem is that when I select the particular barber that I trust to cut my hair, I have waited over 3 hours the last 4 times that I have come here to get my hair cut. I would be willing to pay twice the price to just be able to set an appointment with the barber of my choice. So that I can get in and out. My time is extremely valuable and I'm facing the problem of having to clear an entire day of my schedule every time I want my haircut. read more

I'll have to mirror the other negative reviews. I was really excited to try this establishment but the customer service is a joke. I've tried 3 times over the past week and it is impossible to get a haircut. First off, they're only open M-F, so for the typical 9-5 worker, this place will not fit your schedule. Second, good luck getting in on a friday. I arrived at 6pm (they close at 8pm on fridays) and it was standing room only for waiting. I decided to try coming in on a monday, thinking the wait would be less. I walked in at 5:30 and went to the desk to ask for a haircut. The guy (as he was not a gentleman) laughed at me and said 'We're closed'. I gave him a bewildered look and said "Your website says you close at 6". His reply was 'Well we aren't taking any more customers'. If this is the policy, it should be stated. The way the website reads, you would think if you arrive before their closing hour, you'd get a haircut. I'd love to try this place, but won't ever be back. Poor, if not rude customer service. read more

Going to give a shout out since now I'm getting PMs about where I get my kids haircut. My husband goes there now too. One bad haircut and very upset 5 year old made me have to look for a special place. Here it is. They take their time and do the most amazing job! Their fades are to perfection and so are their other services. You get what you pay for. I highly recommend Cody and Nick. You can request them. Be prepared. Because it's not a buzz job place they take their time with each client and do it right. They are so good with the boys asking them questions about school their summer and making them feel manly in an innocent age appropriate way while in the chair. Seriously my 9 year old has never smiled as much about how he looks and likes looking at himself now. I can see a huge change and a sparkle in his eye since we started getting his haircut there that alone is worth a huge tip! read more

Played old school country on the radio and even got a shot of Makers. Just the type of barbershop I always wanted to go to. I went on an afternoon during the weekday when I had a day off. I typically go to a barbershop downtown, but I live close to Warfleigh's, and had recently read an article about this place, so I figured I would give it a try. I don't have the John Dillinger hair style (which they specialize in), so I felt a little out of place as the majority of their patrons have this type of style. Nothing wrong with it, but it's not me. The haircut I received was adequate and I didn't have any major complaints, but there were some hairs here and there that they missed and didn't give me a real clean line around my ears. The place is very small and there is no call ahead. That's not that big of a deal, but if you are used to calling ahead, you need to give yourself a little extra time to get in and out. The one thing that somewhat bothered me is that there were a couple sales calls while I was there and the guy answering the phone would get very combative on the phone and try and make a show of it. The place is small, so you can't ignore or look away and it just made me a little uncomfortable while I was there. I'm glad I tried it and if you are looking for the John Dillinger haircut, I am sure they will do a good job. However, if you aren't looking for this style, i'm not so sure I would recommend it to a friend. read more
