I have been wanting to come here for some time. I finally made it! ... and glad I did. It was my sister in law's birthday. So a group of us gathered together to celebrate her day. It was a Sunday afternoon. We were upstairs and may have been the only people in the restaurant. I'll wishingly hope that was because the 49ers were playing in the NFC Championship game (which was on two very large TV's at the bar...very nice!) We started with some appetizers and drinks. My wife and I shared some pollo empanadas and pork won tons. We also got some beers to drink (a few local selections on tap). The starters came out fairly quickly. Wow, they were quite enjoyable. The sauces accompanying each item were amazing in their own right. For the main course, I ordered the Tallarines Verdes (flat iron steak w/ peruvian pesto over linguine). Amazing. I debated between that and the Aji de Gallina. Luckily, my wife ordered that and I sampled hers. Okay, I'll have to order that on our next visit. Delicious! One note. I had read there might be some issues with the cocktails. There were no issues. While I didn't order one, several did and there were all rave reviews...especially the Warike Mule. We came here for happy hour and we were very pleased we did. The restaurant's decor is stunning, adorned with vibrant, colorful art. The server was kind and attentive. They were "out" of a certain cocktail and food item we tried to order from the menu, which was a little disappointing, however, what we did try was tasty. We stopped by for dinner and drinks and I absolutely love what they did with the remodel, it's vibrant, lively, and very IG-worthy. Before Warike Restobar there was Stout Brothers. Walking through the newly renovated space I felt bitter-sweet nostalgia for my old stomping grounds while admiring the newness that is Warike. They have an impressive drink menu with over 20 cocktail options. I had a hard time deciding and ultimately let our server choose a drink for me. For dinner, I had a lomo salad and my partner had some type of chicken dish. While we didn't care too much for the food, the drinks were a solid 10/10 for presentation and taste. The service was great as well. Overall I'd recommend Warike Restobar for drinks and aesthetics - not so much the food. Our first time here and overall an average experience. For appetizer we really enjoyed the octopus, it was cooked perfectly and the flavors were amazing. Main dishes ordered had flavor, but the tellarines a la huancaina pasta dish seriously lacked salt in cooking the pasta. On the other had the ravioli sauce was quite salty, boarder line too salty and almost sent it back. Went there yesterday for the first time, for Happy Hour - have some good news and some not-so-good news. The good news - their happy hour food is quite wonderful. Between us all I think we tried about everything - at least once. Everyone was very happy with their meal and service. The not so good news - be forewarned. I had called ahead to make a reservation for 8 gals specifically for happy hour. I was told they only serve at the high top tables inside, not outside. Ok, no problem. But when we arrived we were told they did not serve happy hour to parties more than 4 people - what? So we said we'd split up into 2 tables for 4. They said that still didn't work. Ian, the bartender, said he would check with the chef. After several minutes, he said he had contacted the owner and they would make this 'one time' exception. So we stayed, we ate lots, dranks lots and left a big tip! But be forewarned about their happy hour restrictions. I suggested they mention that on their website, FB page etc. But otherwise and excellent experience and we'll be back for dinner, ceviche etc. read more

We found this place on yelp when trying to find a restaurant with a more private area in Santa Rosa. They were super accommodating and helpful on the phone. Upon arrival, they gave us the second floor or a more private setting which was perfect! The food and drinks were amazing, so delicious! The place was clean and very islandy which was perfect for our final flamingle theme. The only cons were that in our area there weren't any AC vents. We were melting until we opened the windows ourselves. The other thing is that my group felt the service could have been a little better. They only came in the beginning to give water, then to take orders and bring food. Some of us felt like we we're almost bothering them in some ways and there were hardly any other people in the place dining at the same time. Anyway, I do recommend all their food, so if you wanna try bomb Peruvian food, then come try it! read more

Came in on a Monday evening. The restaurant has a very relaxing Caribbean vibe. The food is very flavorful, and the Tagliatele Al Rocoto is a bit spicy but I love it. Service is very attentive and warm. They have kids menu and crayon to keep the kids entertained which is always nice. Interior is upscale and clean. Bathroom is clean smells nice which is a plus. Just went to Warike for the second time. The food and service remain very good. The Causa Marina (crab dish with potato) is excellent. Also excellent are the Tequenos de Cangrejo (wanton stuffed with crab, shrimp, and cream cheese) and the Empanadas de Lomo filled with beef, onion, tomato, and potato. The empanada pastry is light and crispy. The Peruvian style sauces and dips are delicious. We also ordered a plate of roasted vegetables that appeared to be blanched and then lightly roasted. So this place has mostly five star ratings. It was recommended by someone I figured would know good food, I didn't want to pass it up. My husband and I went for lunch, the place was pretty empty. Staff was extremely attentive and pleasant. The reviews on Yelp were not very specific. They mention ceviche but that's not really my thing. We started with cocktails. My husband had a Frank Sinatra and I had a Tia Chabuca a delicious cocktail made with a Peruvian spirit. We both enjoyed our cocktails. We're split an order of beef empanadas, lomo saltado mixto and cheesecake de frutis. Best empanadas I've had in a while! Delicious sauce, crisp shell and flavorful filling. The micro was tender beef tips, juicy prawns, crispy fried potatoes, tomatoes, rice, onions and cilantro covered in a gravy that was so tasty! The cheesecake was icing on the cake. Late afternoon yesterday but before the dinner rush, I called for take out. I ordered the Lomo Saltado Mixto, Mango and Guava Gelato and the Creme Brulee. The server over the phone told me it would be ready for 20 mins. I arrived and noticed a modern restaurant with outdoor seating, large bar seating area and plenty of tables including an upstairs area. I noticed the brightly colored walls with birds and gave me tropical rainforest vibes. The same server came up and took my payment and handed me my food. Quick & efficient service. The Lomo Saltado was delicious! The steak and extra large prawns were sauteed well with green onions, regular onions and tomatoes. The rice was soft with a little sprinkle of salt. Fries were cooked perfectly. I wanted to order the Lemon Gelato but they were out so I opted for the Mango and Guava Gelato. It was a good mix but more of a dessert that you can drink since its all melted. The creme brulee was more of a flan, a structured block with fruits layered on top. Jan 2023 but we've been here a few times since Came here first as a date night. No reservation but we were able to catch a space at the bar. First time there we had tons of questions and a need for a drink after a long work day. Thankfully, the bartenders assisted with all of that despite how busy it was. We've traipsed around the menu a few times. The food is delish with good simple flavors throughout. Over the course of our visits we've ordered the ceviche warike, tequenos cangrejo, veggie and chicken empanadas, the veggie lentils, lomo saltado classico, ravioles de mariscos, ensalada de quinoa, roasted veggies and the fries. The empanadas were always crispy and the sauce they come with works really well with the flavors. Lomo saltado for my partner is a good comfort food for her. The brown sauce really brings everything together and the meat is cooked well. Though there aren't a great many veggie options, the ones they do have have really good flavor. The lentil dish had great flavor, I think I'd just wanted more of the sauteed veggies to mix in. The quinoa salad I really liked the fried eggplant. It was crispy, cooked well, and added some really good texture to something already solid. The roasted veggies were also simply made cooked in butter, not too hard not too soft. I think I had asked for a side of just salt but that's more for my own preferences between that and the fries. The drinks we've gotten a number of. I'd say one we go to often is the Santa Rosa. There was a craving for chocolate though and the bartender had made one he had cooked up for my partner which she adored. We'll definitely be by again. Went for Sonoma County Restaurant Week Lunch Food - 5/5. Salad was fresh and I enjoyed the slight crunch from the thinly sliced fennel. Lime dressing was slightly tart with a hint of sweetness. The croquettes were excellent being flash fried to have crispiness in every bite while maintaining the tender seafood. It was loaded with seafood with the crab flavor being prominent. The saltado had a very piquant sauce which paired well with the rice and yuca fries. Pork was tender and the vegetables had good sear on them. The sauce is very strong so it was a bit much when the rice soaked it up by sitting on the same plate. It was good, but the sauce to rice ratio was off. Service - 3/5. Unfortunately, the server seemed inexperienced and mostly by himself. He was struggling to get everything done without much assistance. Service was slow and we skipped out on the desserts as a result. Value - 5/5. At $15, the restaurant week lunch was of incredible value. It could be because it is built with brick and wood so that could be the reason we ordered one of everything off of the happy hour my favorite I would have to say would be the shrimp bruschetta followed up chicken beans by far my favorite the Peruvian beans everything was really good. My chicken sandwich unfortunately was burnt, but my waitress tried to get it taken off the manager that was on duty. the supervisor that night was named AJ. he was terrible extremely rude the way he treated her in front of patrons was disgusting. Had I not had such a great experience I would be giving this place zero stars if I could or one at least ambience was super cute in there, I'm not gonna let AJ ruin it for going back, but I will say that if he is working and is the only one working when I go in, I will walk right back out. Four of us went there last night and it was first rate. The Halibut Ceviche special was very good, included excellent fried calamari "sticks" about the size of your pinky but the dish could have been better if the calamari had been kept away from the excellent sauce poured on the ceviche as it would have remained crisp and if the plate came with more plantain chip. Luckily we ordered more on the side which I recommend. The Tequenos were excellent and the dipping sauce was excellent. We each ordered a different entrée, some fish some with meat and all were excellent. Great portion size so go easy on the appetizers.
