Capriciano Osteria is such a great addition to downtown Santa Rosa! From the moment we walked in, it felt like a little slice of Italy. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. The service was just as impressive--our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire meal. We got a bottle of champagne, and he was always there to keep our glasses full without ever missing a beat. And let's talk about dessert! We ended the night with a coffee and cherry dessert that was absolutely incredible--the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. Delicious food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere. This place is truly a hidden gem in Santa Rosa. 10/10 recommend, and I can't wait to come back!

I am a little conflicted about this place Our server was so sweet and kind ! And I would say the risotto was the BEST risotto I've ever had! It was so creamy and rich and with the right amount of seafood! They initially got my sister's order wrong and they quickly changed it to lasagna for us However the lasagna was undercooked and very doughy. Also I found a piece of plastic serán wrap inside the lasagna. I let the server know and they took it off the bill for us... so I didn't include it in the photos. However it is also worth noting that the chef introduced himself to EVERYONE at the restaurant except us. (Maybe we looked a little different than everyone else? ) He also never apologized personally for the food. So take that as you will. Beautiful restaurant with excellent servers. Just wish our experience wasn't soured

There's a lot of exciting buzz about this new restaurant and rightfully so! A line out the door, every patio table was occupied - great energy. It began with a warm, welcoming vibe and smiling faces when greeted. Our server was great and guided us well in our selections. We brought champagne and wine and he brought an iced bucket immediately. The bread was very good and was lightly grilled which added to the flavor and was served with a balsamic/oil dipping sauce. We shared the calamari appetizer which was delicately fried and of ample size. Everyone enjoyed their salads and entrees. The short ribs dish I ordered was divine. It looked a little small when it arrived, but it was the perfect amount and was extraordinary. Will definitely return!!

My family and I had a lovely dinner here only THREE days after they opened by a happy chance. The food was well prepared. Sometimes a little small on the portion size for the shareables. And the service was friendly. I had steak. The kids had the steak, pork chop and salmon. The salmon was kind of the star of the show for the kids. BUT... My wife ordered the short rib and by the end of dinner we ALL wish we had ordered that. My wife and I shared a very lovely beet salad. The kids also destroyed a fried calamari. They have a few little kinks to work out but they get top ratings for working hard and making delicious food while making my family happy. New places have things to work out of course, so expect that while the get into their groove. We sat inside, it was a bit loud due to a very loud group next to us but once they left it was very nice inside. Well appointed with pillows (which my son loved) and comfortable spaces. Overall, highly recommend and I hope we get to go back and sit outside on a nice evening on the lovely patio(it was a little chilly the night we were there). So, If you love traditional italian dishes we are happy to recommend.

Everything went well! The Food, the service, the great selection of menu items and wine offerings. Yell it from the rooftops, there's a new and wonderful Italian restaurant in town. Don't miss the experience of enjoying some of the best Italian food in Santa Rosa. The Chef has the palate to prepare delicious, perfectly seasoned dishes. And don't leave before trying the amazing Gelato. The ambiance is inviting; comfortable for an afternoon lunch or a delightful dinner. Can't wait to return and try more.

The food was amazing & our server Lisa was delightful! I had the Calamari as a starter & a glass of Prosecco! It had a light panko breading & the spicy aioli added great flavor. My nephew had the Lasagna & we split the Burrata salad. It was delicious! My Son had the Ravioli & ordered the Sea Bass & a meat pizza for all of us to try. Wow! Incredible all 3 were & my Ribs were so tender & delectable I would recommend having that entree. We had the Tiramasu & Panna Cotta for dessert & it was a perfect portion because at this point we were pretty full! All around great experience! The decor was rustic & warm & the ambiance was inviting! We'll be back!

One of the best experiences I've had in a very longtime. Our server was Lisa and she was INCREDIBLE!!! The food was divine and the vibe was homey. One of the best parts about this place is pricing. Amazing food at a price that screams I'll see you soon. I can't wait to go back and recommend the place to everyone

From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional. The atmosphere is elegant yet inviting, the food is beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious, and the staff are genuinely warm, attentive, and welcoming. Every detail made us feel well taken care of. This will definitely be our go-to place whenever we're looking for an outstanding meal paired with a great bottle of wine. Highly recommended!

It was nice meeting the Chef

We rented the secret garden, and everyone was frequently commenting on how beautiful the space was, with flowers and walls of leaves and vines; it's rustic and fun. Ca'bianca is a great place to have an event, and they really work with you on it. I am super happy with my experience, and I would recommend it 10/10!

Once seated, it took another 20+ minutes before anyone came to take our order -- we eventually had to flag down the hostess ourselves to say we were ready. When the food arrived, it was missing an appetizer and one of the dinner entrees. Service throughout the meal was inconsistent: our waiter never asked if we wanted drinks, and we had to request one ourselves, without ever being asked if others at the table wanted anything to drink. Multiple times we had to flag down other servers just to get basic service, and we asked for a dessert menu three separate times before it showed up. Most concerning, my toddler has an egg allergy, and we had to confirm multiple times whether dishes contained egg. At one point the waiter responded that it "wasn't a big egg allergy," which was a confusing and honestly worrying thing to hear when asking about food safety for a child. On top of all that, the affogato wasn't actually an affogato -- it was just frozen vanilla ice cream with frozen espresso, not the classic hot-espresso-poured-over-ice-cream dessert we expected. Food overall was subpar, we also saw 3 of the wait staff take a shot of alcohol with another table while completing ignoring service for our table. Overall, a disappointing experience with very slow, inattentive service and a concerning lack of clarity around allergy safety. We definitely will not recommend to family and friends, and will go out of our way to mention to any travelers to the area to avoid this place!

Service is consistently quick and friendly--but definitely make reservations, because this place is always busy. We started with their delicious house bread served alongside an olive tapenade--such a great way to kick things off. We also ordered a bottle of the Tom Mackey Cellars 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, which paired nicely with everything that followed. For appetizers, we shared the grilled polenta and calamari, both of which were excellent. For my main, I ordered the house special seafood risotto, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Spaghetti Pescatore--loaded with wild prawns, clams, calamari, fresh scallops, and fish of the day in a light tomato, garlic, and olive oil sauce--and it was just as good as it sounds. When you get Italian you usually know you're looking at a $75-100 bill depending on the spot. This place came out to around $75 for the two dishes and the bruschetta and a Shirley temple. Normally this isn't a problem if the food is good. The bruschetta bread was soggy, and the bread was not properly toasted and the Parmesan cheese seemed to just be thrown on the dish. (See picture). The penne pesto pasta had 0 flavor. I had to ask for salt to make it taste alright. Which was disappointing as I could tell the pesto sauce was fresh, but the actual dish wasn't good. My partner tried the pasta and the chicken they put on the pasta had bones. He had to take out two bones while eating a piece of chicken. The bolognese gnocchi tasted off, the gnocchi did not seem to be made in house, and tasted store bought tbh. The bolognese sauce tasted bitter, which was different to say the least. Unfortunately we ended up leaving both dishes full and paying and leaving. Our waiter did not ask if we liked our food or if something was wrong as most places do if the plates are left basically full. I will add that a hi light to the place is it's pretty empty and service is relatively quick. However, the food didn't leave me wanting to return. I don't think I'd come back.
