Food was good but not great. It's more of a brewery than a restaurant I'd argue because the vibe of the place is fun and has the brewery energy you'd want. Unfortunately we did feel service was a little poor just because we waited 10+ minutes to be seated and there was no line and the place wasn't event busy. That was disappointing. But once we were sat, service moved quick. I was just close to walking out and leaving after no one came to seat us. I got the smash burger. I think it has potential to be a 4/5 burger but it was drowned it sauce and fixings to the point where I couldn't taste the burger. I did enjoy the jalapeño grits. Good flavor and fun mixup to traditional burger sides. My husband got the smoked wings with Carolina gold BBQ sauce. He felt it was a good meal, but agreed that the service sort of ruined the mood of the evening. I do recommend their banana pudding. It's like a light and fluffy cake plus banana pudding. We went to this Smokery on a Sunday evening on our Fall Break Cincy Trip. I was hoping to try some beef brisket and their Tater Kegs. They told me they were out of beef brisket and Tater Kegs when we ordered. Then my husband subbed a different meat to get the smoked meat plate. We had some pulled pork nachos and mac n cheese bites as apps. They were ok. The waitress came later and told hubs they were now out of pulled pork as well, so my husband switched to a burger. The Spiked Soda Flight was ok, but I would prefer my sodas with ice and straws. I had a smoked bologna sandwich. It wasn't bad, but just an overall disappointing meal. They were so crunchy, full of robust dry rub flavor, and surprisingly juicy on the inside. I was extremely impressed with how much flavor they packed. I will be returning very soon to scoop up more wings. The Quesadillas were delish and I highly recommend the Tropical Mule. They were out of the passion fruit it calls for so we opted for mango and I think it may have been better with the substitute. They also make their own craft beers and sodas. Stopped in because we heard the wings were good. I think they were pretty average, I like that you could get them smoked, grilled, or fried. They were pretty pricey compared to other places. My family stopped into the Warped Wing on a Thursday afternoon around 2PM. It was during a holiday so there wasn't too much of a crowd. We were able to seat ourselves. One of the bartenders came over and cleaned our hi-top table. There are a lot of different options on the menu with a heavy BBQ focus. My youngest son and I had the brisket platters. My chicken tortilla soup was outstanding. Brisket was very tender, fries were good. My youngest son had Mac and cheese instead of soup and enjoyed his. My wife got the brisket grilled cheese and my oldest son got a smash burger. They had onion rings which also were very good. I had a gamma bomb IPA which had a lot of hops. Atmosphere inside was very inviting with multiple TVs and whatnot. Loss of a star was based on not having multiple bbq sauce options and the service being a little slow. Went to Warped Wing in Mason tonight. Ordered appetizer and dinner at the same time. After 30 minutes nothing came out. Asked about appetizer and 10 minutes later was told they were out of the pork for nachos so we cancelled thinking food shouldn't be too much longer. After well over an hour still no food and was told another 20 minutes. They offered us nothing complimentary to try and tide us over. I had to ask. Saw people who came in after us get their food. Finally asked for the manager as my party left. She apologized and said no charge on the 3 sodas we had. Where was the manager while we waited so long. No answers from anyone until I complained. I really enjoyed Warped Wing beers and was hoping the same would be true about their Brewpub & Smokery in Mason. We stopped by during a soccer tournament for lunch and found immediate seating available both inside and out. The space is very large and can host quite a crowd. You can't go wrong with a tall glass of Gamma Bomb IPA. But they also have a wide variety of drafts on their two dozen or so taps. In colder weather, you cannot go wrong with Whiskey Rebellion, their barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout. For lunch, I had the chicken sandwich, which combines smoked chopped chicken with Swiss cheese, Carolina gold bbq, and fried onion straws ($14 with choice of side). The smoke flavor of the chicken was great, and the Carolina sauce was on point, sweet, and tangy with just a bit of spice. On the side, I chose the jalapeno grits, which were a little soupy for my liking. The flavor was good though. We waited a few minutes before menus were dropped off at our table. I saw the great Yelp reviews for the chicken tortilla soup so I ordered that only to be told they were sold out - disappointing! I ended up ordering the Smoked Pork Platter with 2 sides: sweet potato fries (99¢ up charge) & brisket BBQ beans (99¢ up charge). Hubby ordered a Greek gyro platter with one side: fries. Our food came out in about 8 minutes. The sweet potato fries were just okay - slightly burned. The brisket BBQ beans were very good. The lettuce with pickles & pickled red onions included on my platter was a nice touch. They make their BBQ sauce in house & the Carolina Gold sauce I had was stellar. The portions were generous & I ended up taking half of my food home. Hubby loved his gyro & fries. I tasted both & agreed his lunch was delicious. Extremely disappointed! Wanted beer from tap and not just a bottle on a Saturday , so decided to try out Warped wing. Every aspect of this Brewpub needs some sort of improvement. The beer was not even passable as a low tier quality beer. I'm a fan of American lager and this place ruined American lager for me. Their lager is just carbonated water with no flavor. Just to test the other end of the spectrum tried their stout and that was a disappointment as well since it was watered down with no real flavor. Their European options were lacking with just one Belgian ale which is definitely an acquired taste since it was a cream ale. The food was not all that great, not sure if the chips were cooked in house or store bought, either way it wasn't great as parts of the chips were not cooked through. The queso was good though. Their signature Warped Nuggs was not worthy of being a signature dish. It was completely dried out and I chose two sauce options - Spicy garlic and Hot Mango Habanero. The spicy garlic was just plain buffalo sauce with some chilli sauce mixed in, you could barely taste garlic in it. Hot Mango habanero was decent and the ranch dip was actually the saving grace for the Warped Nuggs. The service was decent - the waitress failed to mention it'd take an hour and a half for the one plate of nuggets and a grilled cheese sandwich, I wouldn't have bothered about the wait if the beer was decent but the quality of beer being what it was - the wait time felt like 3 hours. The ambiance was good but all other aspects need improvement. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings about half a mile from this place - you are definitely better off going there and getting a bottle of Corona and a wings platter - you can at least be sure it'll taste good and be as advertised! read more

I stopped in with my BFF after trying to get pizza near by and didn't want to wait an hour. There was a wait here as well but the bar had two seats. We ordered drinks, I got a cranberry beer that wasn't bad, and I am not normally a beer person, but wanted to try one since this is a beer place. We ordered pretzels for appetizers, a black and blue burger and beef brisket sandwich with fries. We also ordered an order of wings. The pretzels were buttery and soft and the sauce was perfect. The black and blue burger was super tasty, the beef brisket I got with Carolina BBQ which was sweet and spicy and the highlight of the sandwich don't get me wrong the beef was very good, but that sauce was whoa. The wings we got dry with a side of the Carolina BBQ. They were perfectly done and very smoky tasting. I couldn't have done better myself and I make these all the time in my smoker. I can't wait to come back again just to try other things. I will probably stick with a bourbon next time though. When we left there was a line waiting to get in and there was 2 people standing waiting for a bar seat. We arrived around 5:15 and left around 6:30 ish. So keep that in mind on a Friday. read more

I am a huge Warped Wing fan. I have long loved their beer and was super excited to see them coming to Mason! My first visit was not too long after opening, late afternoon on a Friday. I sat at the bar and got a flight, a pint, and a growler fill. They had a sensational Strawberry Rhubarb beer on tap for a limited time that I couldnt resist. While I was sitting there I got chatting with the people sitting next to me and then the food program manager came out and was talking to us. He had me try some of the special chicken tortilla soup, which was honestly the best ive ever had. In addition we tried the smoked bologna sandwich, pulled pork nachos, pork belly tacos, grits, and banana pudding. Everything was sensational. On another visit I came for a fundraiser event that was held upstairs. The space up there is really nice with a bar and plenty of seating. Drove past this restaurant many times. Finally decided to give it a try for drinks. If you're looking for a local brewery/taproom offering mostly craft beer and seltzer this is your place. Atmosphere not too cozy with wooden tables and chairs. Restaurant offers patio seating option. Service was steady and fast. Servers very friendly and conversational. I really wanted to like this place but my experience was not the best. We had dinner for my nephews birthday and my 3 year old was acting up so my husband took him to the car. I ordered him and I food but cancelled my husbands food while she was still taking our orders and she said "sorry, i already sent it to the kitchen". I literally ordered it 30 seconds ago. Then I asked what the special was and it was 3 tacos for $10 and a beer for $5. So i ordered 3 brisket tacos and a beer. When i got my bill i didn't get the pricing above and asked for her to correct it. She said I didn't order it correctly. She said i needed to order a "a taco flight" to get that pricing. Ok whatever. Great food and beer! We came in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. There was a 30-minute wait for a table, but the bar was wide open. The beers are available in several sizes. You can build your own flight by ordering multiple 5-oz pours (4 beers gets you the beer flight paddle). We tried, in order of enjoyment: - Ermal's Belgian-style cream ale (think: Blue Moon with a vanilla finish) - Gose Mule (light, refreshing, tastes like summer) - Baltic Porter (the mouthfeel on this one is insane, almost like a liquor; 5 oz is a good size) - Whiskey Rebellion (very similar to the porter) - Cold and Dark (mildly alcoholic and deceptively light dark beer) - Magic Melon (think: watermelon Jolly Rancher--it grew on me but I preferred the Mule!) Food took a while to arrive and it all came at once. Everything was hot and fresh however and we dig right in. Again, in order of deliciousness: - Brisket poutine half order (exactly what it sounds like with the twist that the cheese curds are breaded and fried. Really good!) - Pulled pork sandwich (Carolina gold sauce is where it's at, and I love that this comes on a pretzel bun with coleslaw) - Smoked wings (these are monster wings!!) - Mac and cheese (came as a side with the sandwich; pretty meh but fine as a carby way to soak up some beer) I have not been to any other Warped Wing locations so I can't say how Mason compares, but after a string of failed restaurants in this building I hope the brewery can make it work! read more

I was excited by the previous 5 star reviews I saw, but was actually disappointed in our first visit here. There was a small wait for a table so we got a beer from the bar and couldn't noticed for about 5-8 minutes, but the bartender was friendly once we got their attention. At the table our server was also friendly but definitely still had the Grand Opening newness and inexperience about them, and all the checks were incorrect. The beers were decent, but I actually would have preferred to drink the canned options compared to what was available on draft. You can get a pint or a 5oz pour for 2.50. The food on the other hand was hit or miss. (Forgot to take pictures of the food!) Tater kegs - delicious Pretzel bites - soft, salted with 2 cheeses (a little salty) Queso dip - flavorful but very runny, chips were dripping oil Grilled cheese- good but need dipping sauce options for the fries. Pork tacos - not flavorful and stale tortillas Salmon salad - pleasantly surprised by the salmon quality! The beer was good (highly recommend Whiskey Rebellion), food was good, service not great. We sat at the bar and the three people working the bar weren't busy but successfully ignored us and others a majority of the time. We had to flag someone down to order, find our own napkins when we got food, and again flag someone down to close our tab. Those are the only times they talked to us. Was so excited to see this open in the old Basil's space...that place was not good. Warped Wing Brewpub is an improvement, but not enough to make me want to frequent this establishment often. First, it was awesome to see so many ciders! But only 1 on tap, and based on the sample pour, not worth drinking. Having about 5 ciders available, they need to have more than 1 on tap. Still seeking a libation, I tried several samples of beer...they were either too much for summer (the stout) or just ok, and not worth having a full glass. Feeling ridiculous (it's a brewery, yet none of their drinks were appealing?) I ordered a rosé...lol they were out. Settled on the Seaglass Riesling, enjoyable, but again, I'd rather drink a brewery creation. Foodwise, started with the fried pickles. Decent, but probably would save the $10 on it next time. Was looking forward to the smoked chicken on my salad - sadly dry...and the restaurant across the street does smoked wings better. The strawberry summer salad was like a better version of the Wendy's one, which was enjoyable, but the presentation was off-putting/unappetizing. The salad was served in a metal mixing bowl...for some reason, it just kinda grossed me out...it doesn't need to be in a fancy bowl, but just not a mixing bowl! The baked beans...DO NOT GET THEM! Literally the canned baked beans I purchased at Meijer taste better than these...the baked beans at Warped Wing were barely edible. The waitress did bring us another side, which was nice.
