Smoked Chicken Platter with Coleslaw and Potato Salad

Came on a tuesday. It was pretty busy.. probably because of trivia? But service was great. Claire was my waitress and she was excellent. Very attentive to my needs and so kind to talk to. As for the food. It came out SO FAST. The chicken was kinda bland and dry. Sides were basic but it's what's expected. The skin on the chicken was incredibly crispy.

Good place to meet and hang out and catch a game and do a few beers. Beers are good and they do have a menu. Tavern style food. Good spot to check out games anytime. Parking on site.

We went to this Smokery on a Sunday evening on our Fall Break Cincy Trip. I was hoping to try some beef brisket and their Tater Kegs. They told me they were out of beef brisket and Tater Kegs when we ordered. Then my husband subbed a different meat to get the smoked meat plate. We had some pulled pork nachos and mac n cheese bites as apps. They were ok. The waitress came later and told hubs they were now out of pulled pork as well, so my husband switched to a burger. The Spiked Soda Flight was ok, but I would prefer my sodas with ice and straws. I had a smoked bologna sandwich. It wasn't bad, but just an overall disappointing meal. This was not the experience we were looking for. We would have never gone there if we knew there was no BBQ at the smokery.

Stopped here to grab a quick lunch with my Daughter. We both ordered the Smoked Chicken Quesadilla with Chipotle Sour Cream. A Server accidentally brought over an order of wings but realized she was at the wrong table. This wings looked so good and crispy, I immediately asked our Server for an order. They were so crunchy, full of robust dry rub flavor, and surprisingly juicy on the inside. I was extremely impressed with how much flavor they packed. I will be returning very soon to scoop up more wings. The Quesadillas were delish and I highly recommend the Tropical Mule. They were out of the passion fruit it calls for so we opted for mango and I think it may have been better with the substitute. They also make their own craft beers and sodas. The Ginger Beer is a must! I keep it on hand for occasional upset tummy. It has real ginger in it unlike grocery store brands. Overall, Warped Wing did not disappoint.

Stopped in because we heard the wings were good. I think they were pretty average, I like that you could get them smoked, grilled, or fried. They were pretty pricey compared to other places. Pretzel was great, but beer cheese wasn't very warm when I got it. I liked the flavor of it, just wish it came out hot.

Stopped in at lunchtime. Moderate crowd, open seating Chose bar seat and was helped quickly. Then... disappears. Not sure what's up but empty for 10m while eating.... No sign of help. Update... he's back! Can order a refill now. Food was very good. Had grilled cheese add pork with coleslaw. Generous portions! Tons of beer choices, draft can and bottles. Need to get back to check out more!!

Brisket platter with Chicken Tortilla Soup and fries

My family stopped into the Warped Wing on a Thursday afternoon around 2PM. It was during a holiday so there wasn't too much of a crowd. We were able to seat ourselves. One of the bartenders came over and cleaned our hi-top table. There are a lot of different options on the menu with a heavy BBQ focus. My youngest son and I had the brisket platters. My chicken tortilla soup was outstanding. Brisket was very tender, fries were good. My youngest son had Mac and cheese instead of soup and enjoyed his. My wife got the brisket grilled cheese and my oldest son got a smash burger. They had onion rings which also were very good. I had a gamma bomb IPA which had a lot of hops. Atmosphere inside was very inviting with multiple TVs and whatnot. Loss of a star was based on not having multiple bbq sauce options and the service being a little slow. Definitely a strong option if you're in the area.

    Brisket Sandwich and Jalapeño Grits

Food was outstanding. The smoked brisket and sausage were flavorful and full of juice. For the sides we had the baked beans. They are Smokey and have pieces of brisket and peppers in them as well. Flavor explosion! The jalapeño grits really complement the brisket. Not too spicy but have some heat. For starters, the brisket nachos are a must. They are generously topped and were a family favorite. The bacon and Gouda bites were also a hit. Little nuggets of cheese that explode with flavor. Lastly, the beer and seltzers were top notch. My husband's favorite was the lime lager and I loved the peach mango seltzer.

I really enjoyed Warped Wing beers and was hoping the same would be true about their Brewpub & Smokery in Mason. We stopped by during a soccer tournament for lunch and found immediate seating available both inside and out. The space is very large and can host quite a crowd. You can't go wrong with a tall glass of Gamma Bomb IPA. But they also have a wide variety of drafts on their two dozen or so taps. In colder weather, you cannot go wrong with Whiskey Rebellion, their barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout. For lunch, I had the chicken sandwich, which combines smoked chopped chicken with Swiss cheese, Carolina gold bbq, and fried onion straws ($14 with choice of side). The smoke flavor of the chicken was great, and the Carolina sauce was on point, sweet, and tangy with just a bit of spice. On the side, I chose the jalapeno grits, which were a little soupy for my liking. The flavor was good though. Overall it was a good meal and we will be back I'm sure during another soccer tournament.

Smoked Pork Platter w/brisket BBQ beans (99¢ charge) & sweet potato fries (99¢ charge), Carolina gold BBQ sauce

Dropped in to have lunch with hubby. We were able to seat ourselves. Televisions are everywhere so you won't miss a sporting event. The ambiance is typical sports bar. We waited a few minutes before menus were dropped off at our table. I saw the great Yelp reviews for the chicken tortilla soup so I ordered that only to be told they were sold out - disappointing! I ended up ordering the Smoked Pork Platter with 2 sides: sweet potato fries (99¢ up charge) & brisket BBQ beans (99¢ up charge). Hubby ordered a Greek gyro platter with one side: fries. Our food came out in about 8 minutes. The sweet potato fries were just okay - slightly burned. The brisket BBQ beans were very good. The lettuce with pickles & pickled red onions included on my platter was a nice touch. They make their BBQ sauce in house & the Carolina Gold sauce I had was stellar. The portions were generous & I ended up taking half of my food home. Hubby loved his gyro & fries. I tasted both & agreed his lunch was delicious. The tzatziki sauce on his gyro was made in house - yum. We would definitely return here.

This place was amazing! Food was delicious, and the coconut beer reminded me of tafts discontinued coconut beer. The only critique is that they only had one waitress on a sunday so the wait kinda sucked BUT we will be back!!

I stopped in with my BFF after trying to get pizza near by and didn't want to wait an hour. There was a wait here as well but the bar had two seats. We ordered drinks, I got a cranberry beer that wasn't bad, and I am not normally a beer person, but wanted to try one since this is a beer place. We ordered pretzels for appetizers, a black and blue burger and beef brisket sandwich with fries. We also ordered an order of wings. The pretzels were buttery and soft and the sauce was perfect. The black and blue burger was super tasty, the beef brisket I got with Carolina BBQ which was sweet and spicy and the highlight of the sandwich don't get me wrong the beef was very good, but that sauce was whoa. The wings we got dry with a side of the Carolina BBQ. They were perfectly done and very smoky tasting. I couldn't have done better myself and I make these all the time in my smoker. I can't wait to come back again just to try other things. I will probably stick with a bourbon next time though. When we left there was a line waiting to get in and there was 2 people standing waiting for a bar seat. We arrived around 5:15 and left around 6:30 ish. So keep that in mind on a Friday.

Spicy Garlic is just plain Buffalo Sauce

Extremely disappointed! Wanted beer from tap and not just a bottle on a Saturday , so decided to try out Warped wing. Every aspect of this Brewpub needs some sort of improvement. The beer was not even passable as a low tier quality beer. I'm a fan of American lager and this place ruined American lager for me. Their lager is just carbonated water with no flavor. Just to test the other end of the spectrum tried their stout and that was a disappointment as well since it was watered down with no real flavor. Their European options were lacking with just one Belgian ale which is definitely an acquired taste since it was a cream ale. The food was not all that great, not sure if the chips were cooked in house or store bought, either way it wasn't great as parts of the chips were not cooked through. The queso was good though. Their signature Warped Nuggs was not worthy of being a signature dish. It was completely dried out and I chose two sauce options - Spicy garlic and Hot Mango Habanero. The spicy garlic was just plain buffalo sauce with some chilli sauce mixed in, you could barely taste garlic in it. Hot Mango habanero was decent and the ranch dip was actually the saving grace for the Warped Nuggs. The service was decent - the waitress failed to mention it'd take an hour and a half for the one plate of nuggets and a grilled cheese sandwich, I wouldn't have bothered about the wait if the beer was decent but the quality of beer being what it was - the wait time felt like 3 hours. The ambiance was good but all other aspects need improvement. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings about half a mile from this place - you are definitely better off going there and getting a bottle of Corona and a wings platter - you can at least be sure it'll taste good and be as advertised!

If you are in Maineville/Kings Mills area -- or just like in breweries in interesting locations, check it out! We were seated after a short wait by the brewmaster, who also helped us select our beer. Amber ale for me and an IPA for husband. Our server was friendly and prompt, and the food came out quickly. It was pretty busy, being trivia night, but the staff seemed to have a handle on things! We ordered the Brussels and potato appetizer and it was great. It was large and honestly could almost have been dinner for us -- certainly could easily be shared by 4! We cleared the plate on our own though. I had the salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries. Very good, though I was so full from the appetizer so I just ate the salmon from the sandwich, and maybe 1/4 of the fries. Hubs got the burger with an egg on top either regular fries. He was happy with his choice. The brewery itself is very cool -- old brick factory, large wall-to-wall windows, super tall ceilings. We sat at a high top in the bar area which is quite large, though there is dining area. I think the bar area is more interesting looking though. The factory building (now loft apartments), the smoke stack, and the tower, all red brick, are striking looking. It's great the preserved this WWI / WWII era place. Lots of parking but was pretty full on Trivia night!

We had a pretty strange experience overall at Cartridge tonight, and I truly hate leaving low-star…read morereviews so I was looking for things to redeem the weirdness. Unfortunately something in the kitchen seemed off and the issues piled up. I have always had great experiences in the past, and truly want them to succeed so I am hopeful this was an "off" night and that they will adjust in no time! I will start with the positives: the building is gorgeous and worth the visit off the beaten path. You can bike right up to it- we typically do this. It's right off the bike trail and a great distance away from downtown Loveland for a nice ride. Beautiful restoration of the old space and cool branding. The menu honestly all sounds delicious on paper. The woman at the hostess stand was very friendly and all of the waitstaff seemed to be working overtime to stay afloat. No one was slacking, they were all spending an inordinate amount of time in the kitchen and still managing everything outside too so I commend them on their attitude and service. Though it was a little weird that no one acknowledged how poorly things were going, I can appreciate that they didn't snap back at the many folks who were short with them or respond in any way except positive, smiling, and understanding. Now for the rest of the visit. After being seated, our waitress took our order for apps and drinks, and explained the note on the menu that said "Tuesday-All day happy hour!". We ordered fried pickles and 2 drinks, a beer and a mocktail. She came back a few moments later and we put in an order for 2 burgers. The beer came out but the mocktail never did... this is when we started to see if anyone would return to our table and realized that they were not going to. We did not see the waitress who had initially helped us for over 30 minutes. It was near impossible to flag down another because they were rushing around and looked stressed. Another waitress finally brought out 2 burgers. We noted that there was no rush but we were still waiting on one drink and the app. She seemed confused but went to go check. We were hopeful all would be solved. She returned with the drink a while later, but said the fried pickles were being remade- they had been forgotten. I appreciated that they made us fresh ones, but still confused about what happened with both items never making it to us. Thought that would be the worst of it but it spiraled after that. The burgers were okay, but one came without any sauce. One had a small amount on the bottom bun and the other was dry. I thought I would just ask for a side of the thousand island it was meant to come with, but again- there was no way to get a server's attention. By this time, the table next to us was getting frusteated with their wait as well. When our appetizer was finally delivered, I tried to ask for a side of sauce, but the table next to us was so desperate to get their issues addressed that I couldn't get a word in. The burgers were fine, Iif a bit dry, but nothing to write home about. Which is a bummer because it happened to be their Cincy Burger Week special. The fried pickles were pretty good but we both commented we didn't want the whole dish because they were so coated with oil towards the bottom. By this time, we had been there for over an hour and were ready for the check. Notably, the table next to us received their food and both of their burgers were wrong from what they had ordered. :( There was also a beer dropped off to the table next to us but never addressed again. Our check never came... we just sat and sat. When it did come... my heart sank seeing it was inaccurate- none of the happy hour pricing on apps or drinks had been applied. We waited for the waitress to come back and collect the check, which she would have had to do even if the bill was correct. But she never came... we waited 18 minutes before my husband went to go interrupt her at the computer, which we felt bad doing but we were worried it would never be addressed and our toddler was getting antsy The bill was fixed and we asked her to stay until she could bring it back. Phew- finally done. Folks all around the taproom were noticing too and sharing our confusion/impatience. A woman came up and asked for her glass of wine to be cancelled because it had been so long. The beer next to us sat still unattended. The strangest part was that none of this was addressed- not an apology or explanation. I definitely would have empathized with the struggle if they would have explained they were short staffed we would have been totally understanding, but we felt a little like we were in the twilight zone. Really hoping Cartridge can get back to getting their orders out completely/ correctly, and organizing their staff so they can check in on their tables' needs without being tracked down across the room. I will come back, because it's such a neat place, and I believe this is not their norm. Will definitely update my review when I do!
