DO NOT TRUST WARREN APPLIANCE THEY ARE THIEVES AND LIARS! It's no wonder this company is going out of business after this experience with them! About 6+ months ago we dropped off a VERY high end new-ish stainless steel KitchenAid microwave for them to repair with a good faith $120 deposit (sadly I paid in cash). We had it in storage for a year. He stated they had been very busy lately and due to COVID the supply chain was broken and parts were hard to get. We mentioned to him we had plenty time as we had an old working unit in our house we moved into. We chose to be overly patient. 2 weeks later we received a phone call from them and per his assessment the door latches needed replacing which was the cause of the problem. We discussed it and agreed to continue with the repair. He placed the parts on order. He again informed us that the parts were on a "SEVERE" backorder because of the many pipeline clogs from China due to COVID that affected the world supply chain. Again, we chose to be VERY patient as we truly had witnessed this firsthand every day in most stores and even Amazon. We were ready to wait it out and have patience. After a couple of months, we called for a status. We were informed that the parts were STILL on backorder and that "once they came in you will be notified". Things became quiet...RADIO SILENCE. Again, we felt we were ok with this and trusted his word. We thought Warren Appliance was a reputable company and been in business a long time. Within a few months, life took over. Jobs, kids, school, and teenagers new to driving. We decided to make a phone inquiry AGAIN with them to see if the parts had come in and maybe they did the repair but forgot to call us. We received the shock of a lifetime. We were told (VERY RUDELY BTW) that our unit had been RECYCLED...AND THAT WE REQUESTED IT and that it wasn't his problem! This is NONSENSE!! No company would ever (EVER!) recycle a very high end stainless steel KITCHENAID newer model microwave that only had a broken door latch! Just after recovering the shock, we decided to drive from our home in Weld County to visit them and speak to the owner of the company...but low and behold Warren Appliance was EMPTY! WA's Facebook and website mentioned they would announce a new location "soon" but I'm curious if they knew they were closing their doors when they accepted our microwave and took our cash deposit THEN FIXED IT AND SOLD/STOLE IT? To this day they don't seem to have a storefront but are "offering repairs" DON'T DO IT!!!! We sent them a certified letter to make it right and they refused. Hence this posting and I WILL put this out on BBB. Lessons learned NEVER use cash as a good faith deposit. These people are crooks! We get to say buh-bye to a nice $1000 microwave and start over. I needed a new dishwasher and I needed it sooner than the 2-3 weeks that Home Depot and Lowes estimated it would be for installation. Warren appliance did not have a large selection but they were priced comparatively and they could install it 5 days later. The installer was early but he waited until the scheduled time before knocking. I really appreciated that. He was friendly, efficient, and competent. He asked if I'd like a tutorial and made sure it was working well before leaving. I felt valued as a customer. read more

Preparing to move, our dryer decided that it had enough. I called Warren Appliance at 9am Monday. Greg arrived a little after 10am, and explained the process. Take the dryer to their shop and diagnose the problem. $70 service call. If we want to go ahead with the repair, they will repair it. Otherwise, if we do not want to repair it, then they will return the dryer. The next day, we received a call that the repair would cost $375. The advice was not to put the money in a nine year old dryer. We agreed and the dryer was returned immediately. Fast and honest. Highly recommend Warren Appliances. read more

After moving into my first home I have been dealing with repairing and replacing old appliances for the last 6 months. It had turned into one of my least favorite things to do- getting approached by salesmen who are only motivated by commission (sears), standing around waiting for way too long for anyone to help you and when they do finally have time for you can't answer questions (home depot), or just having to call repair guys who can't come for 2 weeks and then overcharge just for coming out to assess the problem. I am glad to say that Warren Appliance is not like this at all. I was having problems with my washing machine and couldn't find anyone who would come look at it (either because of scheduling or because of where I live in the mountains). Warren Appliance was able to come out two days after I scheduled, and they were even willing to drive into the Boulder mountains (Lee Hill area) from Longmont. Once the problem was assessed I decided to replace the washer rather than repair it. They were extremely helpful in educating me about what kind of washer would suit me, and there was never any pressure to buy rather than repair. Even better, they assured me the old washer would be recycled for parts or repaired and reused. It was a bit of a drive from Boulder to get to their showroom in Longmont, but it is definitely worth it. I got a great deal on a brand new washing machine, but here is the best part...... THEY DELIVERED THAT DAY!!!! Within 2 hours of purchasing the washer we had it installed and running. No where will you find someone who can deliver more personally than Warren. Small/local businesses are the best!!! I highly recommend saving yourself a trip to Sears or Home Depot the next time you need an appliance --- they are also very knowledgeable repairmen! Well folks maybe third time's the charm? This is my THIRD negative review of Warren Appliance! The first two were moved to the NOT RECOMMENDED section for reasons I cannot fathom other than the reviews were 1 star. So now there will be FOUR 1-star reviews in the not recommended section - three of them will be mine! I'm just going to copy what I wrote last time because I am on a mission to get this review in the RECOMMENDED section so that this establishment gets rated appropriately - it is NOT a 5-star establishment. It practices shoddy and questionable business IMHO. Here's what I said last time. "I see there are 3 reviews in the NOT RECOMMENDED section and they are all bad. What a coincidence! The one that IS recommended is GLOWING! Guess what? I believe all 4 reviews are accurate. I know that mine is and I'm sure at least ONE of the 2 other not recommended reviews is real because the woman mentions how tall Greg is so it feels very real and sounds very real. Yet all 3 of the 1 start reviews are in the NOT recommended section AND are not contributing to the overall store rating which SHOULD be TWO stars - NOT FOUR stars based on the 4 reviews. I have read the reasoning behind the NOT RECOMMENDED rating by YELP. It makes no sense to me. So to summarize..my review was real and valid and yet it is being deemed NOT RECOMMENDABLE. SO BUYERS BEWARE. When you make a purchase your card will get billed and you'll be handed a bill of sale that says NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. Apparently canceling the order well within 24 hours without ever having taken possession of the product is considered a REFUND. GOOD LUCK if you purchase from this establishment. You will need it." There you have it. This will be my 3rd time attempting to get my VERY VALID review to stick. I'm hoping that at least the sheer number of UNRECOMMENDED REVIEWS all showing a ONE STAR RATING will get people's attention and prevent them from handing over their hard earned money to an establishment that refuses to cancel an order less than 24 hours later when they did not have to order the machine NOR did they have to ship the machine, NOR did they attempt to deliver the machine, NOR did they attempt to install the machine. AND they never announced nor pointed out that all sales were final and no refunds or exchanges. Those words appear on the BILL OF SALE. So the FIRST time a customer can be aware of that policy is AFTER their card has been charged! If that sounds fair to you, by all means go buy stuff at Warren Appliance! read more

Very poor communication. We waited 3+ weeks for a refrigerator that we ordered. When I called Greg said "When I hear something I'll let you know." I guess they aren't able to talk to their suppliers or track shipments. A few days later I got a call saying our refrigerator had arrived in Denver, but it fell off the truck. They could sell me a replacement, which happened to be the model they told me not to buy in the first place. They were very angry and rude when I requested a refund on the 50% deposit that I had paid them. I went to Lowes and we got excellent service. Extremely poor service. A year before we had a compressor go out on our refrigerator. They ordered the part. It was supposed to arrive in a week. Day 10, I called. They said my new compressor arrived a while back, but Greg decided to go fishing so it would be a week before they could finish the repair. read more

These guys saved my day, my week, my month. I really think they deserve some redirected credit considering some of the reviews I've seen below. I have used their service 2 times over the last 4 years. The unit I replaced my last broken machine with is still running, and this time around, I remembered so well their amazing delivery service, that it was a no brainer to use them again. To say my life was inconvenienced as a family of 4/career lady, would be a major understatement. When I say they saved me, I mean it quite literally. And when I called and explained the issue and dropped by to pick out my used unit, I get just what I want--a service guy who talks to my level, not down to me--and who is glad to spend the time helping me. I hate to say it, but service like this is rare these days. I don't know anyone over there personally but take it from me, these guys are true gems. Used this company for kitchen appliance repair. The unit was completely down and short visit (5 min) made and part ordered. The lack of communication, concern for length of time to repair was very concerning. I had to contact them days later re part delivery- The part arrived at their office apparently and they then set apt for install 3-4 days later. ( poor coordination of sx). "we are busy- only 1 service tech" When expressing frustration, statement was " we're a family business, doing as much as we can". Again, no concern expressed for client. Repair did not fix problem, so another part ordered, again time to obtain with delayed visit to install. Charges were incurred for each visit, labor, shipping of part etc. Visit was less than 5 min, and full charge billed. 1 week later, unit again showing issues, so called Another appliance repair and they identified an issue immediately and repaired. Clients might ask very pointed questions if using Warren. ~~Cost of each visit, timing for parts to be obtained and then scheduling when parts arrive, warranty, or if out of their scope of practice ~~~ please refer to another company for repair! read more

I called and spoke with Matt about a part I needed, or thought I needed, for my refrigerator. He took the time to discuss the problem with me and informed me that the fridge could not be repaired easily because the freon had escaped. He made no attempt to sell me a new fridge, and he prevented me from ordering a new part that would not have solved the problem. Thanks! read more

Warren Appliance has saved me countless $ over the years by repairing first my clothes washer 13 years ago - still going strong - and this year my refrigerator saving me over 1K it would cost for a new one. The reason I am writing a review is last time I had a different company come and fix my fridge I asked the repair man if he could help me pull my fridge out from it's nook so I could vacuum the back. Both times I asked he had excuses even though I waited weeks for them to diagnose (wrong the first time), order parts, schedule appts. So he basically did the bare minimum. When I asked the gentleman from Warren the same question he did not hesitate, adjusted front 'feet' on my fridge that he noted were making it difficult for me to move. He answered all of my questions and helped me care for my appliance so it will last longer. That is great service, value, and 5 stars to me. read more

Warren Appliance guy never showed up to fix my stove. No call, nothing. I called the phone number and another man answered. Said the guy must have gotten tied up, he would call him and check. The second guy never called back and when I called his number again it rang and rang, no answer, no voice mail. I think I'll go to Angie's List to find a pro to help with my stove. read more

Tale of two stores: Deal with Warren Appliance at your own risk. There's good will and there's bad will. I had been a customer of Warren's for fifteen years. I bought one or two washing machines from them and two dryers (I have two buildings on my property that have laundry rooms),. I also had them do the repairs during this time. I can't say they sell the best machines but overall they have been adequate. In June of 2016 I bought a used dryer from them at their recommendation. My old dryer needed a new timer for $150. I decided it was more cost effective to get another dryer. This is what they told me at the time that greatly influenced my decision. We decided to get a rebuilt dryer. The service man highly recommended the dryer as it is very durable with few repair needs. He said it will last a long time. He said the new model of these has the same mechanical parts and he said it wasn't worth spending twice the money. He knew that our dryer gets a lot of use and he felt very confident in selling it to me. I did appreciate him looking to save me money but on his end he may actually make more money selling his rebuilt ones versus a new one. With the service call and delivery charge the dryer cost me over $400 and I could have gotten a new one for $200 or $300 more. So less then three years later in March 2019 the dryer needed a new heating element - the cost of repair $155. Now three months later the drum is making a horrible noise and the dryer only works intermittently. When he was hyping the dryer to me there was no caveat that there's always a possibility that it could break down anytime and that would have influenced my decision to buy it. It's not like I don't know there are lemons and machines break down but they also personally rebuilt it and tested it - this wasn't manufactured in a plant. I called to see what could get worked out especially having been a customer all these years. I guess they don't value customer relations. I have no beef with their only being a ninety day warranty on a rebuilt dryer but that wasn't the issue. The most he was willing to do was maybe give me free parts or a 20% discount on the parts depending on the problem. That in it self was ok and appreciated. But he absolutely refused to come out at no charge (They charge $75 for an assessment) and then he would let me know the cost of repair and what he would do for me. I only live 4-5 miles away. So basically he was saying pay me $75 and we will assess the problem and then let you know what we will do for you. If it wasn't worth fixing I'm out $75 and they would have probably tried to sell me another rebuilt dryer. Good will is taking care of your customers so for $75 dollars they lost a customer of fifteen years who is honestly disgusted with them. Pretty stupid trade off in my book. Read some of the other negative reviews on how they conduct business. On the other hand to fill this out. The same day I had to get some carpet pad and tack strip to repair some carpets that had gotten wet due to flooding from a recent hail storm. I went to Family Carpet One Floor and Home at 1401 Ken Pratt Blvd Suite B, Longmont, CO 80501 where I had bought flooring many years ago. The owner recognized me and gave me the supplies for free. True it didn't amount to much money but the gesture was very much appreciated. This is how you establish good will and have a satisfied customer who feels good and wants to come back and do business. We had our refrigerator serviced because its icemaker line was leaking. After the technician replaced an expensive filter housing he said it would start making ice in 6 - 8 hours. I waited over the weekend and still not making ice. I called numerous times to talk to the service person to find out what to do next. I could not get a call back and I paid over $300 for this repair. By the way if the ice maker doesn't work then we don't need the $300 filter and service call. I would STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!!! We have purchased two washing machines and two fridges from Warren Appliance over the last ten years, and have had nothing but positive experiences with them. They are very straightforward, give you honest advice about what brands to buy in terms of your preferences (appearance versus features versus durability, for example) and their assessments have turned out to be exactly right (that a reconditioned washer or fridge will generally last 8-10 years with no major problems, for example). Their store strikes me as an old-style family business for customers who want a good value and honest service without a lot of frills, and we would definitely buy from them again. read more

Bought a dishwasher from these guys on 12/30. Tried to cancel the next day, a full 3 days BEFORE delivery and installation scheduled. This was NOT a custom unit but a regular stock dishwasher. The next day (today, 12/31) we attempted to fix the existing dishwasher. 4 hours later it's fixed! TADA! We called to cancel the new one (remember this was one day after the purchase and the unit has not been moved from the store - or probably even from where it was sitting in the store!) The owner was quite rude and refused to cancel the transaction and threatened "fraud" if we canceled the transaction with out credit card company. The only thing he offered was "if we can resell this unit THEN we'll refund your $600). I've owned businesses and dealt with MANY businesses and, frankly, I'm flabbergasted that this business can stay alive with that kind of customer service. This store is out nothing for this cancellation. We had previously purchased a replacement washer dryer from these guys and more than likely would have continued to use them as our appliance place. However, after such a snotty conversation and snarky remarks and flat out unwillingness to do the right thing, we will never again purchase from this establishment. Circumstances changed and we no longer needed the item. We received nothing, they are out nothing. The right thing to do is REFUND THE MONEY WITH A SMILE and assume you will make it up in future business from a satisfied customer. Bad Yelp reviews do NOT drive business to your store! read more

New house, the double oven needed a simple high-temp wire replace, only about 3 feet long, and rather hard to find, even on the internet (unless you want to buy 15-5 feet!). Warren Appliance went above and beyond in helping me get my oven up and running again, and now it's working and all are happy at home. I'll definitely give them my business in the future! read more

I called them and talked to Matt and said my fridge was freezing food. He told me to first defrost for 24 hours (you should do this once a year anyway) and that might take care of it. Do you notice that ONLY their good review is "recommended" and there are 3 BAD reviews that say NOT RECOMMENDED? why is that? I wrote a BAD review. My guess is that because my name wasn't on the bill of sale they got YELP to move it to the NOT recommended section. Please be assured it's a valid review of what happened. BE VERY CAREFUL when you buy something from these guys. Their refund policy is pathetic especially considering that they didn't even have to buy the item because they already had it and the order was canceled the very next day before they were out any time or effort. In contrast, I called another local dealer in the Gunbarrel area and asked if they would mind telling me their dishwasher refund policy. They said "SURE"! Here it is: If you cancel an order for an in store model before they install it, full refund. If they order something for you and you cancel before it's shipped, FULL REFUND! If they order something for you and you cancel AFTER it's shipped or after they receive it, there is a restocking fee that amounts to what THEY have to pay their supplier to take it back. Now THAT is what one would expect from an above board company. I'm certain this review will end up in the not recommended section so here's a little tip. Don't take my word for it. Call Warren Appliance and ask them what they would charge you if you bought something and cancelled it the next day (for WHATEVER reason), and then call the store in Gunbarrel that I called, I think it was Specialty Appliance, and ask what THEIR refund policy is. Call SEVERAL other appliance stores and compare. And then pick the one that has a FAIR refund policy. read more

These guys will try to sell you crappy appliances. We went for a used fridge and dishwasher. They sold us a Crosley dishwasher brand new which basically stopped working less than a year later. The fridge they sold us had a broken door. We're in the same position under a year later. When we tried to hold them accountable, they told us to fix it ourselves. When we had an alternate technician come to fix our dishwasher, he explained that it was a crappy machine and couldn't fix it for less than a brand new quality machine would cost. Repair call on a GE Dishwasher: after I told them on the phone that it was a GE they sent a repairman out the next day. He looked at the dishwasher over for about 30 sec and said "we don't really repair GEs" he then offered to sell me a dishwasher. He only charged half of the $70 for the short visit but I still feel a bit taken. I will not be using these guys again. 2 stars only because he only charged half the fee for the visit. read more

The broilers in my double oven didn't work. They took the oven to their shop for six days and then returned it to me without fixing it. They said it works in their shop but not in my home, and they don't know why. Total charge was $100 for them to tell me they didn't know how to fix my oven. read more

Don't let them remove your appliance for "repairs". Did you know that they also sell new and used appliances? If there is a problem "fixing" your appliance, they will sell you a new one (from their store!). And then what happens to your old appliance? That is what happened to us. So don't you do it, have then fix it in your home, or come back with the part, otherwise what choice do you have when there is a problem, and all you can do is get a new appliance from Warren Appliance read more

ALMOST CAUSED A HOUSE FIRE... Mr. Warren came to my house to fix my dryer which was not working and said that it was fixed. He charged me and went on his way. Instead of actually fixing it he removed the safety switch and said that it is almost entirely unnecessary. It is something that they started to install many years ago and all they do is malfunction and cause the dryer to stop working. He short circuited the system by splicing a wire around the safety switch. My girlfriend was doing laundry later that day and said that she smelled burning. Smoke started to fill the basement and the clothes nearly burnt her hand when she ran downstairs to stop the dryer. The actual problem was that the casing for the heating element had melted and short circuited onto the heating element itself. It essentially became a conduit for all of the electricity and almost started a fire. THANK GOD MY GIRLFRIEND WAS HOME AND DIDN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE AND DOGS ALONE!!!!!! Mr. Warren did not accept responsibility for the situation and a SEARS technician came and found the problem right away. Mr Warren refused to give me a refund even though I threatened to write a bad review. Well here is the result of that. I would not recommend Warren Appliance for appliance repair. Had them come out to repair an older dryer. It was working fine but just had a squeak when you first start it. I thought I was being proactive to get that taken care of before it got worse. The service technician replaced the belt, pulley, and bearings. He put it all back together and it then made a much worse noise and smelled like something was burning. He said he will have to take it to the shop so I was without a dryer for a few days. When the dryer was returned to me, they had forgotten to put the feet down to the level it was previously so it was much shorter than the matching washer and the dryer sat flat on the floor with no space underneath it. Evidently they put the feet up on it to transport it and forgot to put the feet back down to the previous height. After running three loads through it, it does not sound good. Except for the small squeak at start-up, the dryer had previously been extremely quiet and worked just fine. After they "repaired it" it sounds bad (thumping noise and much louder) and is no longer the same height as the washer. I regret ever calling them out for service because now I will have to go buy a new dryer. When I spoke to the owner, he implied it was the age of the appliance that was the issue and made no offer to make it right. read more

Four years ago I purchased a rebuilt Kenmore washer and dryer here. And yes, they do wash clothes and dry them. The trouble is, the so-called delicate cycle is no different from any of the other cycles on either machine. The agitator beats the he** out of things, and the only difference is the brief soak period. When I called about this, I was given some nonsense about the motor determining it, and the implication that that's normal. I've been washing and drying clothes for several decades now, and I know for a fact that not all cycles are agitated in the same way. Likewise, with the dryer, the "delicate" cycle dries at the same level of heat as the normal cycle does, and it does it just as quickly. I would have given them 3 stars, but that means A-OK, and my experience is NOT A-OK. I don't believe these guys are concerned about the quality of their refurbished appliances. If they were, I wouldn't have been given that song and dance about the motor. read more
