Staff was very nice and friendly. They either need to get better trained staff or get their equipment calibrated: Brought my new vehicle there with less than 10k miles to get the original tires swapped out with some brand new snow tires. After about 5 minutes of driving I could tell something wasn't right with the balance of them. When I came in for a follow up appt. to have them check the balance, the lady told me that they would re-balance them but they doubt that would fix any problems and tried to get me to schedule yet another visit so that a mechanic could diagnose what else was wrong with the vehicle for 2-3 hrs. There was nothing wrong with my vehicle... When they re-balanced the tires I asked what they found and they responded that they didn't even check the existing balance. They just blindly stripped all the weights and balanced them again. This time the vehicle drove even worse than the first time. When I brought the vehicle to another shop and explained the issue they threw the existing wheels w/ weights on their balancer and laughed. The guys at Warren tire didn't even get it close. Once the balance was corrected by the second shop the vehicle drove great. The other funny part of my experience was when I dropped the vehicle off for the follow-up visit, they told me that it would be atleast a few hours until they could get to it. This didn't bother me at all except for the fact that 4 of their techs were standing around behind the service desk chatting with each other and not getting any work done for the entire 20 minutes I was there dropping the vehicle off. I was appreciative that Warren Tire was able to get me in for my tire change quicker than any other shop around was, but if I knew it wasn't going to be done right the first time and would require 2 more shop visits I would have just waited a few more weeks. read more

Ive had good experiences here, but i have had bad ones as well. Most recently it was over an inspection. Failed for a crack in the headlight. still functional, still worked and definitely one of those things you ignore , let slide, use your judgement. Ive had my vehicle inspected 3 times since, same headlight. Maybe the tech is a bitter person who doesn't like his job, maybe hes under pressure to make things happen. whatever the case is, I wont return. this had me driving around for a week with no sticker. its a shame, its so close by. and like I said I have has some good experiences. they stay busy. but they are also costly. I like my mechanic now; independent business owner/operator who I trust. same person every time and nobody to answer to. I take it in and it wont pass, he isnt going to take the sticker off and put me in a bad spot. Bigger garages, its mostly always bad experience. bigger place, and yet still cant get in. so I say if you cant trust them, cant get in, and they cost more, why the hell go there? read more

Called for a broken tailpipe, guy said I can only get a consultation if I pay the labor price. I asked what the labor price was and he said 120 an hour. Mind you this "consultation" is just him telling me what part of my car fell off and how much the fix would be. I may sound like a dumb college girl over the phone but that man literally doubled the average labor price (I have a jeep, I might not know much about car parts but I know how much I've paid my mechanics). Won't be getting my business, would rather face the consequences of carbon monoxide. Find another place to give your money to. read more

This past summer, I had my vehicle inspected here and my appointment and scheduling were all done online. I communicated w/ Warren Tire Service Center through their website. My appointment date had to be postponed to another date but their acknowledgment of my canceled appointment and rescheduling for another inspection took a couple of extra emails and several weeks for me to receive another appointment date which was about a month apart from my initial appointment Once I arrived for my inspection, the process was smooth and overall satisfactory. Beginning of this month, I emailed them again to ask for estimates for various priced sets of winter tires for my vehicle, along w/ information about promotions, etc. Now, 2 weeks later and still not receiving any type of reply regarding my questions, I decided to just reinstall my set of 60% worn winter tires that are already mounted on their winter wheels onto my vehicle here at my house. My four winter tires/wheels just sat on my dirt floors in one of my barns during the months that they were not in use. Naturally, all four tires were low in air pressures and one of the beads on one tire was broken partially on the wheel. I have my own air compressor so I just inflated that tire back up, along w/ the others to their proper air pressures. I replaced my a/s tires/wheels w/ my winter sets on my vehicle yesterday. This morning I notice that one of my tires was half-deflated in my driveway. I took my wheel off, inflated the tire to 35 psi, sprayed dishwashing soap from an H2o bottle, throughout my tire/wheel (sprayed the valve stem, Shrader valve, both sides of the tire beads, treads, sidewalls, and the wheel). I noticed that air was leaking/bubbling from a portion of the tire bead about 1/4" length and realized that when I inflated the tire on my barn floor, that some particles of dirt/trash must have been embedded between the lip of my wheels rim and the tire's bead. I do have aluminum wheels but none of my wheels are oxidized where the beads of the tires are mounted to the lip of the wheel's rim. This morning I went and spoke to a service advisor at WTSC and I explained to him that my t/w was already off of my vehicle and that I wanted to leave it to be broken down from the bead and resealed. I explained to him where the air was leaking from and the circumstances too. He quoted me right under $50 to have my tire resealed at the bead. He went on saying that the wheel needs to be sanded so the tire's bead will have a good seal to the wheel. That's only true if the steel/aluminum wheels are rusted or oxidized and that is preventing an airtight seal when the tires are inflated and sealed to the wheels. I promptly left. I know for a fact that my wheel only needed to be broken from its seal and cleaned of the dirt particles and reinflated to 32 psi (that's what the shop down the street did for $20), they also double-checked for leaks and the balance of the tire. The price WTSC was asking for less than 5 actual mins. of work is equivalent to almost $600 per hour labor rate. I don't mind paying for fair market rates, whether it's their hourly flat rates or fixed fees per services but gouging customers for exorbitant amounts and/or for unneeded services is unacceptable. They think that their services are on par w/ prestigious law firms hourly rates or they're doing a complete long block rebuild for a Ferrari or Lamborghini and they're charging hourly rates comparable to the vehicles that they are servicing. Most shops charge around $25 per t/w if you bring your winter tires not mounted on any wheels. They will take off and breakdown your summer or a/s tires from your wheels, mount your winter tires, balance, and reinstall onto your vehicle, all for $100 if you do your complete set. For the people that are not familiar w/ these prices or extent of the labor involved, WTSC wanted to rip me off for $50 like they're doing two separate and complete winter t/w changeovers for two wheels, for less than 5 minutes of labor needed for my tire/wheel. Situations like this are why the automotive service/sales industries have such a negative reputation in general. A lot of businesses like WTSC like to take advantage of uninformed customers, all for the sake of their greedy profit margins. If you like extreme delays and no responses to your emails through their website, incompetence, excuses or just bs ripoff artist types of behaviors, then, by all means, do business w/ WTSC. read more

I brought a $4,000 set of wheels to Warren Tire to have the tires dismounted. Before they started work I asked the service agent to thoroughly inspect the wheels so that we could agree there was no damage to the wheels prior to them taking possession. I was present when the service agent inspected the wheels and agreed there was no damage present. Upon return of the wheels one had very obviously been damaged. The service agent straight denied they damaged the wheel even though he inspected them previously. He was pretending we didn't inspect the wheels prior to all of this. He was talking to me like my reality was different from his. Like we had made a jump to another dimension of space time where what I experienced never took place. Seeing as things were getting shady I recorded the conversation I had with the service agent on my iPhone regarding the damage and have him on record ultimately admitting they damaged my wheel. I also had him make a statement on the receipt. The owner, Ed Boyer, who I met to seek reimbursement from didn't care about making things right. Because of that he' getting sued. Warren Tire employees and especially Ed Boyer are dishonest in his business dealings when appropriate. He could care less about doing the right thing and reimbursing you for damages they caused. If you have a nice car and would like to keep it that way go somewhere else for service. read more

tl;dr: Had an incredible experience at Warren. The employees -- Jen and Mike, in particular -- went above and beyond to get me an my family on our way after we had a shredded tire while on a road trip from Montreal. Despite the blowout happening on a Friday night, we were on our way first thing Saturday. Couldn't not recommend more highly. Longer: On a recent Friday nigh while coming back from a days-long road trip, I got a flat tire about an hour north of Plattsburgh. Unfortunately, my car doesn't have a spare and uses a "boutique" tire, as it was later explained to me. As I started Googling and calling nearby tire dealers, I was told that no one would have my tire and that anyway, it was Friday and I'd have a better shot of getting service on Monday. Then I reached Warren. The service center patched me through to an incredibly informed employee named Jen, who there was a shot that they had my tire but that Warren was closed and she was already on her drive home. She had an idea about how she might be able to find out and told me to call back in 10. When I called back, I found out that another employee had returned to the shop, looked through their inventory -- after hours!! -- and found that they miraculously had my unusual tire (this was for a Volvo SUV -- why they went with non-standard tires and no spare is a mystery). I had my car towed for an hour to Plattsburgh, dropped off my key in Warren's night drop and found a hotel. The next morning at 7:45 I got a call from Jen who said they had our car, they did, indeed, have our tire and that the new tire would be in place by 9 a.m. This was on a Saturday morning and Jen had called *before the shop had even opened.* At 9, my family and I showed up, the car was 100% ready, we paid and were on our way by 9:15. I have heard nothing but good things about this place. BUT I went there with my car and had them do an alignment and put on 4 new winter tires. Well, first the guy said that the tires I wanted were not good enough and that he "wouldn't put them on" a car like mine (Mercedes-Benz). So, I agreed to get some top-line Nokian tires which -I will admit- seemed much nicer. Well, after I got the tires I realized that they were filled with nitrogen; I never told them to put nitrogen in my tires nor did they ask me beforehand. They just went and did it. So, I paid the $1100 dollars and left. I did notice shortly afterwards that my car shook a little -but I was told that was because of the "winter tires" (not by Warren Tire but by friends/family). Well, after about a month or two, one of my tires was super flat. So, I filled it back up and in the process realized that another tire was flat too. NOW, the nitrogen is supposed to stay in your car's tires better than air when the weather changes/gets hot or cold. That is the POINT; and that is why it costs more. Well, about a week or two later, the tires needed to be filled again. Mind you, I did NOT run over anything and there is NOT a leak in my tires. So, when I brought my car in for a free tire rotation (every 5000 miles), they called me into the back. Apparently, my back tires were going bald in the middle and the sidewall of the front right one was wearing away. So, the guy claimed that it is probably the alignment causing the problem. I told him that he and his coworkers had JUST done the alignment THEMSELVES about 2 or 3 months prior. He then stated that it is from the tires being inflated unevenly. I felt like saying, "Yes, but that is because they leaked like a sieve!" Plus, the difference was only like 1 or 2 PSI per tire because when I filled them up, they were all dead even. So, they rotated my tires and said that my warranty was "probably voided" because (A) I waited longer than 5000 miles to get the tires rotated and shouldn't be going any longer than 3000 with my car (well, they only do it every 5000, otherwise they charge you) (B) I did not keep exactly the same amount of air in my tires. Now I may drive a Mercedes, but it has no TPMS in it, so I don't know what PSI is in my tires unless I check manually. But I can tell you that the difference between the tires was MINIMAL. So, the heavy and uneven wear on the tires was immediately attributed to ME. They took NO responsibility at all. Again, it was because I waited too long after 5000 miles to get a rotation and didn't keep the same amount of air in the tires. Well, the first part is true....but the second isn't. Plus the first part doesn't matter.....tires should NOT wear that quickly no matter what! So, basically I will only be able to use those super-expensive tires for ONE winter. ($1100 = One Winter from Warren Tire).....at least this was my experience! So, I went to my mechanic the other day and he put my car up on a lift and said, "Whoa, you got to get your alignment fixed!" He said that the right front tire's wall being eaten up is from my alignment -not from uneven tire PSI. He said that my tires needed to be "toed-in" to run correctly, but they are not. He did not comment about Warren Tire, but I knew at that point that their alignment WAS the culprit all along. So, long story short, Warren Tire messed up my alignment. My car has been making semi-loud tire noise and has been vibrating/shaking ever since. Plus my tires will NOT stay fully inflated for more than like a couple weeks -especially in the extreme cold. AND the sidewall of my front right tire is almost ruined and my back tires are going bald in the middle. ADDITIONALLY, my front tires are already a little bald in the middle because they used to be on the back before the rotation. Instead of going good, offering to check the alignment again/redoing it, or even just keeping my warranty in place (rather than voiding it), Warren Tire did nothing to help. Nothing. I have summer tires that need to go on my car now, but I am going somewhere else because I don't want Warren Tire anywhere near my vehicle. Even if they offered to do it for free to make up for my terrible experience this winter, I wouldn't do it because I would be afraid to let them near my car again. I am serious. read more

Went for an oil change on my 2017 F350 with the 6.7. I am working in Montreal, so I called ahead to see if they had availability. They made sure that they had the Mobile1 oil I preferred. Arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment. Took almost an hour and a half to change the oil (way too long). Time for check out and bill was almost $100.00 more than I expected. $225.00. Plattsburgh Ford changed last time for $140.00. I paid the invoice and was driving back to Montreal. Get a call and they think they forgot to install the oil cap. I check and it is missing. I drive back and they check everything again and provide me with a $30 visa card for the trouble. Customer service was good, but my mistake for not asking the price ahead of time. I was upset that they forgot the oil cap, but on the other hand, happy that they had the integrity to call when they realized they made a mistake and provided $$ to offset the fuel and time that it cost. Because of time and cost, I do not plan to return, but feel that they did a decent job. I believe that they strive to do the best that they can and they have proved that they want to take care of their customers! read more

First call from them "Did anyone call you yet?", after 3 hrs of work. Then the guy tells me they did $230 worth of balancing but 3 of the wheels are bent and need to be replaced. The good people here sell us safe, reliable winter tires and store then over the summer months to be reinstalled before every winter season. Been there twice to get snow tires for my cars. Great prices on tires and reasonable rates for labor. This time I had them do a lube,oil and filter. I also asked them to check out other problems. Usually this is open door to some service centers to suggest unneeded repairs. No such thing. They did suggest I needed an air filter and indeed it was time to do that. So they did. Car drove much better after this. I will use them again. read more

I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. My car was first diagnosed there as having a bad starter, so I paid for the diagnostic service and paid the labor to have the started replaced. However, the same non-starting issue happened again with the new starter only 2 days later after the starter replacement. I went to the store and was told that the issue might have been misdiagnosed and they would have to diagnose again and would not charge me for the second diagnosis due to the previous misdiagnosis. However, after I went to the shop for the second diagnosis, I was told that instead of free, I would be charged $117 for the second diagnosis (I already paid $40 for the first MISdiagnosis and $150 for labor to replace the starter). The front desk people also remembered what happened and how I was promised a free second diagnosis, but the supervisor insisted to charge me $117 because he did not "hear" his colleague made the promised the other day. There was many miscommunication between store personnel at this place, and one person told me one version of the story and another person told me a different one. After all, they have no trouble asking customers to pay again if they do not do a good job in the first place. At the end, I was threatened that if I would not pay, they would not do the job. Very POOR competence doing the job and finding the issue of my car, and WORSE customer service! STAY AWAY from this DISHONEST place! read more
