Nestled in a nondescript swale of very north Falls Road, the Worthington Tavern is a dive roadhouse…read moreconceived and frequented by indentured servants who muck the stalls of Baltimore County's horsey set. Conglomerations of timber race jockeys huddle over dirt cheap Budweisers. Every ten minutes equals spontaneous combustion into the lollypop guild in a three, and a two, and a one. Fouler than foul is the never cleaned men's bathroom. Foolish are those who venture into the land of prepared food. Barbour bearing equine real estate barrons regularly slum it at the only watering hole for miles in pursuit of a bourbon reddened nose. Lubricated loose lips spread tawdry tales of the married gentry's scandalous trysts which morph into incestuous valley gossip. Spring and fall steeplechase events draw hordes of thirsty patricians. Poor alcohol fueled stableford handicapping decisions will ensue in more than a few exchanged dollars and stinging hurt pride. Best laid plans incubate at the White Way.

It is often frequented by many "horse people", those that work or own stables ( often from Irish decent ) and a few other regular characters. Don't let the vapid surrounding areas of Owings Mills, Huntvalley, and the communities of north Falls Rd dissuade you, the Worthington is its own deal and has not yet traded its soul to Ikea and TGI Fridays. This place is the only worthwhile drinking establishment anywhere between Baltimore, Towson and the PA line, a great place to get away from Baltimore for a night, awesome in the summer and fall when they open the doors too the country sounds and smells. The Worthington has two pool tables a good internet jukebox and the patrons understand the value of drinking to a good tune. This last point can not be over emphasized, I have drank many and much throughout too much of the country that has completely forgot what the combination of a song and a drink can do to ones demeanor. Heading up or down Falls I have never run into Johnny Law lying in wait to harsh anyone's mellow, but I have heard he has his time of the month. I am surprised that more Bmore folks don't get out to this place more often. The frozen pizzas for some reason are extremely good, although usually too hot to eat for at least a drink or two, still well worth the wait. It would be awesome if they had some sort of open mic night or something, but there was nothing like that last time I was there.

I came to the Stonebridge Grill today with a group (11) of friends and it was SO DIFFICULT to…read morechoose just one item for lunch! So many things looked great! Because the burgers are made with locally sourced beef (it is cattle country in northern Maryland) I chose a burger. I added French fries for an up charge of $2.00. Everyone's lunches looked great and everyone seemed to enjoy their choices. The salads looked fresh. My neighbor's cheesesteak looked super and she liked it. Other neighbors had Maryland crab soup (red version) and they said it was very tasty and had crab in it. A few gals had the half pound of shrimp and I scored one! Large and very good. Seasoned with Old Bay. My burger was excellent. I didn't get any toppings other than lettuce and a slice of tomato. I wanted to taste the beef. And it was delish! Definitely a keeper! And the bun was delicious! Kind of a sweet tasting bread that was toasted just right! My french fries, on the other hand, weren't wonderful. Lots of small pieces that were very oily and unfortunately had lots of black spots inside the fries. I said something to the server and I asked if I could get a fresh batch. The new ones were better and I shared them with the gals and still had some to take home. A fun fact is that there is a liquor/wine/spirits/beer store attached to the restaurant. Got a bottle of Irish Cream to take home! I definitely want to come back to this restaurant. If you're at the Maryland/Pennsylvania border, try this place. You will enjoy it.

Kind of an odd location tucked behind a self storage business. Ample parking and seating in the…read morebrewery. The beer is great. Definitely recommend the Export Hell. Very smooth and has a fruity finish (I may have drank 3 on this particular visit but uwill not confirm or deny). Good selection of German beers to choose from. The food selection is good, but they seemed to be out of several things on their menu including their staple wurst. Staff were friendly and assisted with recommendations on beer and food. Can't really say what the vibe is here cuz we ate at an odd hour and we were the only ones eating, but there were some people seated at the bar. I would come back for the beer.

But there's always something just a bit off on every visit. The servers aren't aware of specials advertised on social media. The food presentation is always slightly off. There have never been more than 3 beers on tap out of several they list. I would not recommend the lobster roll special - cold flavorless lobster bits sprinkled with celery spread over Texas toast bread which was soggy from the moisture. Had to eat with knife and fork. The German coleslaw was tasty and vinegary but served on a plate (not bowl) and juice was spreading to edge of plate and didn't look appetizing the way it was presented but it was very good. The boardwalk-style fries are delicious and they do have malt vinegar for them if you ask. Good beer though - the Pilsner is my favorite. They recently opened up some outdoor seating with picnic tables that face the parking lot.
