Fouler than foul is the never cleaned men's bathroom. Foolish are those who venture into the land of prepared food. Barbour bearing equine real estate barrons regularly slum it at the only watering hole for miles in pursuit of a bourbon reddened nose. Lubricated loose lips spread tawdry tales of the married gentry's scandalous trysts which morph into incestuous valley gossip. Spring and fall steeplechase events draw hordes of thirsty patricians. Poor alcohol fueled stableford handicapping decisions will ensue in more than a few exchanged dollars and stinging hurt pride. Best laid plans incubate at the White Way.

It is often frequented by many "horse people", those that work or own stables ( often from Irish decent ) and a few other regular characters. Don't let the vapid surrounding areas of Owings Mills, Huntvalley, and the communities of north Falls Rd dissuade you, the Worthington is its own deal and has not yet traded its soul to Ikea and TGI Fridays. This place is the only worthwhile drinking establishment anywhere between Baltimore, Towson and the PA line, a great place to get away from Baltimore for a night, awesome in the summer and fall when they open the doors too the country sounds and smells. The Worthington has two pool tables a good internet jukebox and the patrons understand the value of drinking to a good tune. This last point can not be over emphasized, I have drank many and much throughout too much of the country that has completely forgot what the combination of a song and a drink can do to ones demeanor. Heading up or down Falls I have never run into Johnny Law lying in wait to harsh anyone's mellow, but I have heard he has his time of the month. I am surprised that more Bmore folks don't get out to this place more often. The frozen pizzas for some reason are extremely good, although usually too hot to eat for at least a drink or two, still well worth the wait. It would be awesome if they had some sort of open mic night or something, but there was nothing like that last time I was there.

Very smooth and has a fruity finish (I may have drank 3 on this particular visit but uwill not confirm or deny). Good selection of German beers to choose from. The food selection is good, but they seemed to be out of several things on their menu including their staple wurst. Staff were friendly and assisted with recommendations on beer and food. Can't really say what the vibe is here cuz we ate at an odd hour and we were the only ones eating, but there were some people seated at the bar. I would come back for the beer.

But there's always something just a bit off on every visit. The servers aren't aware of specials advertised on social media. The food presentation is always slightly off. There have never been more than 3 beers on tap out of several they list. I would not recommend the lobster roll special - cold flavorless lobster bits sprinkled with celery spread over Texas toast bread which was soggy from the moisture. Had to eat with knife and fork. The German coleslaw was tasty and vinegary but served on a plate (not bowl) and juice was spreading to edge of plate and didn't look appetizing the way it was presented but it was very good. The boardwalk-style fries are delicious and they do have malt vinegar for them if you ask. Good beer though - the Pilsner is my favorite. They recently opened up some outdoor seating with picnic tables that face the parking lot.

I could eat here everyday, seriously, it's a jewel hidden behind a liquor store and a modest appearance. And the menu is huge, as a chef and culinarian myself, usually big menus make me a little nervous about execution, but I happen to know some people that highly recommended the place. So I ventured in with some family (age ranged from 18-50s). THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Full stop. Yes, they have a good tap beer selection and great liquor too - did I mention the store - but credit to the bar too, their craft cocktail selection was tasty and refreshing. Back to the food! Pot roast made with the same respect as Beef Bourguignon, with tender flavorful meat balanced, silky smooth potatoes underneath, mouthwatering reduction atop. Shrimp and grits with authentic made grits, not that Quaker boxed stuff, garnished with a zesty coleslaw - absolutely delicious. So many flavors and textures melding together. Wonderful. Fried green tomatoes served with a raisin cream cheese dollop on top, they were incredible. Lamb pops grilled and served to perfection. We tried a crab fried rice that would make any Asian Chef would have blushed over. Whipped feta. OMG, if you don't know about whipped feta, look it up. They happen to have it on the menu, so we had to try that. Marvelous! Absolutely incredible. My nephew did talk much about his seafood risotto, which if a 20-something says nothing while cleaning the plate, I believe that's solid and speaks for itself. I can't wait to go back, I didn't even get to try the burger and I hear that's outstanding too (believe me lots of places and people screw up a burger). Everything here is crafted with respect not only to the ingredients, but to the methods of preparation. Michelin style cooking hidden in comfort foods and explorations across the menu. I said it was an adventure, and what a journey it was, and I'll say it again; I can't wait to go back!
