You're overlooking the water and swans, and when the weather is nice, I imagine it is SUPER nice. It was drizzling when I was there, but it still felt good to be outside since it wasn't raining too hard. They have TVs and a pool table, and I saw some SERIOUS pool players when I was there, so that was a vibe too. The food is really good. The wings?? High, high, hiiiiigh. I don't know if chicken is imported to the island or what, but the price is CRAZY high.... I had the buffalo chicken wrap and it was actually really good, BUT that wrap was so small. Of course they cut it in half, but each half was tiny. There's no way that was even a full 6-inch wrap before they cut it. Still stuffed and flavorful, just disappointing on the portion size. The French fries though? Really really good. I had them with my wrap and I enjoyed them a lot. Didn't get a pickle though, and I didn't even realize it was supposed to come with one until I came back the next day... I wish I had gotten that. The bartender was nice--it was a guy. Not super friendly, but cool enough. Now the bathroom... ATROCIOUS. I hated it. Didn't even want to touch anything. Yikes. But other than that, I do like the place!

At night there is a security guard, but he spent his time watching videos on his phone. Didn't even notice that someone parked in the blocked off space next to the handicap stall. There was a buffet that we didn't try. Another reason we went early was so we could go to the Zippy's around the corner for dinner. My cousin did try the buffet. Her burger looked pretty good. FPO got bottled Guinness at the bar. The cost was different. I don't know about that. Downside to the evening was that the Women's bathroom was broken. Even before it broke, there was a sign in the stalls, "we just learned we have a problem with low water pressure. Please wait 10 seconds if you hear someone else flush". All in all, it was a memorable night.

I didn't eat any breakfast and saved my appetite for Mother's Day Brunch. Checked in ballroom on the right next to 604 Ale House. Highly recommend making reservations. This location was packed. Must have military ID or access to drive to Schofield Barracks. Loved sitting at round table. Conducive to conversations. Live local music. Complimentary photos provided from photography vendor. Beautiful nature scenery outside in back. Separate restrooms prior to entrance. Stations included main buffet line, prime rib, omelette, waffle bar with desserts. Watch out for nuisance fly that goes in and out of ballroom. Close cover for each dish at main buffet line. Our Server visited us numerous times to ask us if we needed anything, ensured water and beverage refills, removing plates. Here's the verdict: Beverage concerns were couple of family members stated coffee tasted burnt. My hubby said his iced tea tasted too sweet. California Poke and Potato Crab Salad were more on the wet side and contained more mayo. The only difference is California Poke tasted a little spicy and Potato Crab Salad was mild. Somen Salad and Oriental Chicken Salad along with respective dressings were on point. Barely tasted garlic in Garlic Mashed Potatoes, yet creaminess is sufficient when consuming with prime rib. My husband and I agreed that prime rib lacked in seasonings on top and taste. Chef did well in honoring my request for well done prime rib. Horseradish and au jus fit right in. Cheese, mushrooms, peppers and spinach were definitely fresh and prepared well in omelette. However, I'm disappointed that fresh eggs were not used in making the omelette. Noticed it in taste and texture. Pork Adobo Fried Rice was made and tasted too wet. Save your appetite for an adobo fried rice elsewhere. Culmination of ingredients for mushroom and spinach Alfredo went well together. Unfortunately, pasta was over cooked. Steamed fresh catch w/ cilantro ginger was the star and highlight of the day. Coconut danish and guava danish cleansed palate and added a nice touch for desserts. No doubt quantity exceeded expectations while quality fell short.

There is plenty of street parking. The venue hosted Brian McKnight Concert. Doors opened at 6pm and show started at 7pm. The line started at 5pm. You weren't allowed to hold seats for anyone and every seat was first come first serve. Once the doors opened they checked your ID and let you in. Purses were allowed. And there was no dress code. Come in what you felt comfortable with. Don't forget the best part "Free, Free, Free" entrance. It was put together so elegant. You couldn't tell it was a recreation center. There were tables with white linen table cloths and intimate candles everywhere. I'm not sure if they had food. No one sitting next to me had food. They did serve alcohol drinks. I saw mixed drinks, wine bottles and different types of can beers as well. Brian McKnight came out on time, sang for one hour and a half with no breaks! If you went to pee you missed it. I'm glad he did it like that. I loved every moment. I don't like went artist break every five minutes or have you singing there song the whole time. It was none of that with Mr. McKnight. He is truly an artist, professional and funny. Mr. McKnight had a questions and after session after on stage that was about 20 minutes. Followed by a meet and greet. I left at the meet and greet. As I didn't see a sign up for that so I am unsure how people were able to show up. Thank you thank you thank you! So much for hosting this amazing event. I will be returning.

Ube mascarpone pancakes!…read more I've dined here and at the Aiea location a few times. To my surprise, Guieb was introducing an updated menu when my friend and I visited earlier today. Our server explained that the menu is more streamlined with favorites. He mentioned that all pancake dishes can be interchangeable to waffles and that the waffle in their chicken and waffle dish can be any flavor! can My friend and I ordered new menu items, the Aria Plate for her and Da 3-Bite Feast for me. We enjoyed our plates! I love when restaurants offer samplers of sweet and savory breakfast items. The ube mascarpone pancakes were as legitimately ube and not too sweet as ever. The crab cake Benedict was great with a crispy crab cake patty and the poached egg a good medium (huge improvement from the bao bun Benedict I ordered for takeout years ago). The egg from the Wagyu loco moco was cooked exactly like the over easy I requested. The meat was moist and the gravy was flavorful. Good to know I don't always have to get the same ube mascarpone pancakes every time! One of our servers seemed a little hurried when my friend just arrived, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I gently reminded him that my friend needed time to look at the menu. (Maybe he got too excited, haha!) The rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. I seem to forget about Guieb's parking in the back, or even the 1-hour parking around the block. The closest untimed street parking I'm aware of is near First Hawaiian Bank a couple blocks away. Guieb Cafe Wahiawa is always a favorite whenever I have visiting family and friends, or for loved ones moving away.

****CHECK YOUR RECEIPT PRIOR TO PAYING****…read more ****CHECK YOUR RECEIPT PRIOR TO PAYING**** I had lunch with my wife and had a wonderful experience (she had the country fried steak and I had the Korean rib-eye with an order of 4 beignets [2 of the Ube and 2 of the Strawberry])... ...until I got the receipt for our meal. The cost for the whole meal was reasonable until I saw the price for the beignets that were the special menu item. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US $25.00 for 4 beignets. (For reference: Price was: 1 for $2.75 or 4 for $10.00) I only ordered 4 (two of the Strawberry and 2 of the Ube so my wife and I can try both flavors), which should come out to $10.00. I confronted the waitress about the mistake, and was very apologetic about the error. She returns to the register to fix it and the total came out to $11.00, not $10.00. The math doesn't make sense. So I approached the waitress and she said and I quote: "We charge the $2.75 price because you ordered two orders of two different types of beignets. Since each cost $2.75, the total comes out to $11.00". THAT WAS NEVER MENTIONED WHEN THE WAITRESS TOOK OUR ORDER OR WAS NOT PRINTED ON THE MENU WHEN WE WERE LOOKING AT THE ORDER I asked her why wasn't this mentioned while we were ordering it, even though she was present when I was having the discussion of the beignets to my wife. All she did was apologize but didn't change the ticket. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I paid the bill and took off. I only state this because even though it is only a dollar, this could have been going on for a good amount of time where they can rack up a good sum of money from customers if they kept this act going. And restaurants wonder why people don't go to their establishments: because occurrences similar to this dissuade people from going out to eat. This is why I check my receipt before paying. *see picture* Don't get me wrong, food was wonderful and the ambiance was laid back and relaxed, but they should make it known of their EXACT pricing before advertising a food item on the menu
