    Strawberry Cheesecake pancakes (short stack)
    Alexandra R.

I do not give pancakes enough credit on breakfast menus, but these give me all the incentive I need to order them. They are SO fluffy and delicious, come in many different flavor options (my husband loves the Strawberry Cheesecake, I tried the Macadamia Nut for my first trip!), and can also be ordered in different quantities. The short stack was still 3 large pancakes!!! I added a side of Portuguese Sausage which was also a large serving and very tasty. Service was really pleasant and quick, and seating was super easy on a week day. Looking forward to bringing some of our visitors here in the near future!

Always gotta stop by koas before a long shift at work! Light bites is all this broke boy can really afford these days but super grateful they have a small selection of cheaper smaller options. The aunties are always on it with the service too! Sampo one time if u down

I was prepared to give 5 Stars but I need to be honest. And this is only my opinion. It IS walk up to the counter, order & pay restaurant. We ordered the Koa Omelette & the Trio & Eggs. Negatives: - Omlette was flavorful but dry w/o much meat. - Scrambled eggs tough w/o salt or pepper. Adding it on plate doesn't cut it. - they use the cheapest plastic silverware. I was barely able to cut through the Portuguese sausage and even my pancakes. - Overall, food was "meh". Nothing standout about it. Typical diner fare. Positives: + The pancakes were big. We each ordered the 3 stack instead of the 5. Even my Hubby couldn't get past half. +We enjoyed the Banana Pcakes more because they were moist and went down easily. The Macadamia Pcakes were kind of dry. + Dining room was clean & tidy. + Upkeep of Coffee counter was good. + Staff was very friendly & even came back to check on us twice. They didn't bring a coffee pot to offer refills but that was okay. Their coffee was good & strong :) We didn't need a second cup! It's all up to you. For us, we've found other places that have raised the bar too high.

The advantage of having our tire patched next door was the wait- which we spent at Koa Pancake House! I don't make it to this location often but I was happy to be there today, and I'm always glad to see how busy they stay. Today I fought my urge to get my usual- the mochi waffle- and while I truly enjoyed the chunky monkey combination of banana, chocolate chips, and macadamia nuts I know I'll never stray again. I would fully recommend what I ordered, but the mochi waffle simply can't be beat. My breakfast was massive. Three large pancakes five sausage links and two eggs kept me full for the entire day! No regrets. Service was fast and friendly as always, and we paid just under $20 per plate for our pancake platters. One tip, they will give you a water cup if you ask. It's a busy place, but the tables are clean and the other diners are friendly. If you find yourself in Wahiawa before 2pm a visit to Koa Pancake House is a great idea. you can't go wrong, but my suggestion is either the mochi waffle or the vhin D'alos sausage omelet.

Came for brunch after a football game at Leilehua, and it was conveniently located right down the road. Right at the entrance is where you could order your food at the register, then they'll give you a number if dining in so they can bring your order to you. The food was not bad I guess. But compared to the other Koa Pancakes, the food was more oily and you could tell too just by looking at our plates after eating because it was drenched. Since we dined in, we had to find a table, but all the tables were dirty and smelled like wet rags. We noticed that the guy would use the same water and cloth to wipe the tables, it was kinda of gross. Anyway, it wasn't a bad place to come, but honestly, idk if this would be a top choice.

We really enjoy Koa. Never eaten in before though. I use their website to order online and pick up. Always on time, never had anything messed up in the order, great customer service, and food is handled with care. We have had a number of things on the menu such as breakfast burritos, pancakes, French toast, waffles, omelets, vinha d'alhos, And burgers. Their parking lot is very small if you have a big vehicle. Some review say that it is outdated but I feel like it has a retro feel and shouldn't change a thing. Give them a try. Aloha.

    Mahi mahi Benedict

Terrible. I got the mahi Benedict. Fish was extremely tough and dry, hard to chew and swallow. Also tasted extremely fishy and not fresh at all. The eggs were made hard boiled, like eating an egg puck. The potatoes lacked seasoning. Terrible, terrible food. They usually are so good.

Your typical local breakfast stop, this Wahiawa location is a little outdated. Interior and parking lot could use a little renovation but that's just me... whoops. I ordered the steak breakfast with salad and potatoes. Bf ordered a spam plate, scrambled eggs and corn beef hash with potatoes. Shared a full stack of pancakes but wasn't even able to finish half because we were both so full. Anyways, you order right when you enter and then you choose a table then they'll serve your food to you. Service was good!

Great food along with reasonable prices. Staff was very nice. The ambiance was very local and not touristy. Will definitely return on another Hawaii trip.

The eggs although ordered over medium had broken yolk and all over bottom of spam.

It's a cozy interior with plenty of seating. I ordered the prime rib burger and I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the quality. From the meats tenderness to the overall flavors and my personal favorite is that it is served on a brioche bun. Everything is well balanced with no flavors overpowering one another. It is a large burger so keep in mind that it takes longer to make, but quality demands it so--absolutely worth the wait. My personal recommendation is that gourmet burgers are best enjoyed with a cold beer which they do have. They also have a wide variety of menu items, such as pastas, wings, salads and sandwiches--all options that are equal in quality. If you have extra space after that, they have a great dessert selection, particularly their S'more's Dip or their Churro Cheesecake, they have other options as well that are fantastic. You can tell that this business is run by an owner who cares and I pray many years of success to come to this establishment. Mahalo

I don't know if chicken is imported to the island or what, but the price is CRAZY high.... I had the buffalo chicken wrap and it was actually really good, BUT that wrap was so small. Of course they cut it in half, but each half was tiny. There's no way that was even a full 6-inch wrap before they cut it. Still stuffed and flavorful, just disappointing on the portion size. The French fries though? Really really good. I had them with my wrap and I enjoyed them a lot. Didn't get a pickle though, and I didn't even realize it was supposed to come with one until I came back the next day... I wish I had gotten that. The bartender was nice--it was a guy. And it's not to say that I didn't like the poke bowl I had at Beach House. (I mean, what's not to love about about digging into some fresh ahi when you're literally feet away from the beach?) It's just that I had the otherworldly experience of eating from Foodland's poke bar the night prior to my lunch here and I couldn't help comparing it to the legendary Foodland. That said, the poke was still delicious and its runner-up status didn't distract from the rest of my meal. The spicy ahi wonton was a standout starter -- the shallot, scallion, tobiko, and chili aioli approach they have for the ahi here works better for the fish than their "beach house special poke sauce" in my opinion. Top it all off with a plantation iced tea: an island version of the Arnold Palmer that replaces the customary lemonade with tropical pineapple juice. We came in around 2:30 pm so we essentially had the dining room to ourselves after the lunch rush, if you don't count the cute zebra dove bird that walked around below the table halfway into our meal, trying to see if there were any stray crumbs it could peck at. Alas, we had deemed the food too good.
