    Caterpillar Roll
    Nicki P.

We came here for our son's birthday as Wasabi Bistro is his favorite sushi restaurant. We arrived on a Saturday night and were seated right away and menus provided. We sat in the larger dining room. Our drink order was taken right away and brought out. Took us some time to figure out what we wanted and they were very patient. Everyone ordered the bento box except for me, I ordered the caterpillar roll. Soup was brought out next and then my roll came out. I waited until everyone's food was brought out before I ate mine. It was delicious and a perfect meal size for me. Everyone enjoyed their meals overall!

    Chirashi
    Maddie W.

Their chirashi bowl is so fresh and sashimi portions are very generous. It's super filling with the amount of rice they give too. Fish was super fresh, glossy, and a good variety. It came with salad and miso soup. We'd come back to try other dishes as well!

Chirashi Bowl with 5 types of fish over rice

Came here years ago before the pandemic and realized we had been here when we entered the parking lot of this small complex. Ordered Karage and vegetable tempura before ordering the chirashi bowl. Solid 4 stars as the various sashimi in the chirashi was very fresh as well as the Karage tasting yummy, crispy and hot. Our side Japanese salad which came with our meal was also very good with cold fresh crunchy head lettuce pieces which was a part of the salad. Don't you just hate room temperature lettuce in a salad! Miso soup was my least favorite as it was slightly salty for my taste. Service was a forecast this was a legit sushi restaurant however this time around we did not order any maki rolls as we were not super hungry prior to arriving. Definitely recommend this place after a day at the Outlets in Livermore and literally just 10 minutes away.

My love ordered the W.B & philly and we loved it.
I ordered s.p scallop, it isn't my style but it was good

Not sure how many times you can write a review for the same restaurant.. but it just gets better every time!!! This is me and my bf's go to sushi restaurant. It's absolutely amazing. The food is delicious, fresh, and always served with a smile, the service is extremely quick, efficient, and delightful (all of the servers are so sweet) and the ambiance is calm and relaxed always!! Stop looking, go get some sushi at wasabi bistro!

Want to start off that food was incredible, everything had a really great flavor and the fish was just so fresh! Service was equally awesome, we came for lunch, got seated and served immediately and food came within minutes! Ambiance was nice, not too loud and had tasteful music playing in the background! Would recommend to anyone wanting a quick bite of sushi in the Livermore area!

Was recommended this sushi place by a friend and I'm glad I went. There's not too many known places in Livermore but I would say this is probably a solid sushi place in this area. The service was great, plenty of seating and parking plus the food was good. The fish was fresh with the perfect amount of rice and sauce. Would definitely come here again!

Fantastic. Don't normally commute. Traffic was absolutely trash so I dropped in to kill some time. Wise choice. Service was a slam dunk. Quick. Solid recommendations. Beer was life cold. Rolls were fantastic, not over sauced. Not to small not massive. Great value for the menu cost. Very happy to support a small business. This is a hidden gem. Cheers

Assorted Nigiri Mix (10 piece omakase)
    Richard H.

Great Japanese restaurant and sushi bar, located in strip mall in Livermore! Great value for sushi and dinner menu options. I recommend their mixed nigiri sushi (omakase) 10 pieces for $34, which includes miso soup and salad. We also tried their sashimi and tempura dinner, which includes salad and miso soup. They provide the option of sashimi (maguro, salmon, or hamachi), which was very fresh and delicious.

They fried the halibut body in our large sashimi platter
    Sonja P.

We ordered the large sashimi plate for 4-6 people. It came with rice, soup, salad, and vegetable tempura. Fish was fresh and the 4 of us were satisfied and full. The fried halibut at the end was a nice treat. For desert we had banana tempura. The restaurant was nice and clean. Nothing fancy but more modern. Service was fast and prompt, but staff was polite but not so jovial.

Simba Roll- left Godzilla Roll- right

The food was really good. The restaurant was quiet. The service was great they were very kind. I recommend the dancing tuna roll it was fire. I don't recommend the Godzilla roll only because I don't like it to be too fishy but if that's for you then get it.

Sakura Roll ! Yummy and my personal favorite
    Jenn E.

The restaurant is very clean. Service was minimal, not very warm and inviting. Food was delicious except for the 49er roll. Will not get again. Recommend the sakura roll and the toro sashimi. Also the garlic edamame.

My go to sushi spot! I love everything the chefs are amazing and the service with staff is always very welcoming. The ambiance is wonderful I tend to see a lot of families and couples go here. Wonderful spot for dinner or lunch.

I recommend making a reservation just in case since seating is limited. Some of our favorite bites were the anchovy toast and the seafood chowder. The total bill was over $100 and neither of us were particularly that full, just satiated enough. I don't recommend coming here for a full dinner if you're hungry or have a large party. You can definitely get full, but it will cost you! It's a nice appetizer/happy hour spot as a precursor though. Overall it was a nice experience and we'd stop by again to explore any new menu additions!

You can choose between bar seating or a table--we went with a table. The space is cute, modern, and has a great vibe. One thing I really appreciated is that all the sashimi dishes came pre-seasoned with thoughtful sauces and toppings. We didn't even need soy sauce or ginger--everything was already balanced and flavorful. Oysters (3.5/5) Solid. Fresh and clean, and great value for a dozen. We added "the works" for $3, which came with extra sauces--definitely worth it and added a nice variety of flavors. Uni Toast (4/5) Really good. Served on a crispy ube toast with great presentation. Definitely on the pricier side, but expected for good uni. Worth trying if you're into uni. Tuna Crudo (4.5/5) Really enjoyed this. Flavor was good, but the crispy bread was a highlight for me. Some might think it's too crispy, but I loved the texture. The wagyu juices tied everything together nicely. DIY Handrolls (4/5) Fun concept--comes with mini sheets of seaweed, rice, and hamachi so you can build your own. The fish tasted fresh and high-quality. The only downside is I wish they gave more seaweed. Cured Chirashi Don (4.5/5) The sushi rice was honestly one of the most flavorful I've had--very pronounced vinegar taste (in a good way). The fish was fresh and of high quality. Definitely a standout. Overall, this place leans on the pricier side since it's small plates/tapas style--we ended up ordering around 7-8 dishes to feel full. That said, the flavors are unique and I liked how some of the fish was lightly seared, adding a nice aroma and texture. Service was solid--our server checked in regularly. They also brought out cookies and milk for my birthday, which was a nice touch (not free--$8--but still worth it). Would come back to try more dishes

As our organizer mentioned, they were fully booked that night so do reserve early. Warm earthy tones in the decor made for a comfortable, inviting atmosphere and the light jazz ensemble and lovely vocal performances elevated the evening's experience. The ambiance is a strong point. Being a paella newbie, I definitely looked forward to tasting a version especially after watching cooking shows over the years. The saffron broth rice nicely counterbalanced the seasoned shrimp, sausage and other ingredients. Thumbs up. I had several portions. The tempura cauliflower - good. KR Enchiladas were cheesey and rich, plumply filled, and the accompanied rice accented with corn. Since we shared the three enchiladas, my small piece was enough for me. Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. The rest of the staff had hustle. As normal with live music, be prepared to raise your voice and repeat yourself in conversations. Parking is ample, with a short walk, in this Nob Hill Foods shopping center.

Great sweet (not overwhelmingly) and savory dish. Meat was cooked perfect and broke apart easily with a fork. Some of the most tender pork I've ever had. Personally, a 10/10 for me. Born and Raised in Pleasanton, lived in Livermore for past 25 years - see this place all the time but never went. Why - because the sign does not say Burger and Steaks.... But I saw a picture of the Onion Rings and that was the hook... so finally went and to be a good sport I ordered the 1 fish and 5 shrimp meal and Onions Rings. Let's get it over with the Onion Rings were amazing - the batter was light, not doughy ad the onions tender. I bet you want to see how I rate the fish..... So I ordered the Fish and Shrimp - and I'm not going to lie - 1) they were clearly fresh and not packaged processed bits. I'm down with Shrimp and these were amazing. Big, butterflied, tender and NOT rubbery and the batter was perfect consistency. Blind folded I may not have guessed immediately the fish was fish. 90% of the time cooked fish taste... well... fishy. This fish log was very light, flaky white fish that did not taste "fishy" and battered perfectly Several other reviews noted how clean it was... I wanted to challenge this but it is true. Probably people that would not normally say they do not like cooked fish.... The staff were super nice and gracious and helped with refills on drinks. Now I'm very curious on their Jalapeño and Zucchini appetizers that also look freshly house made. Thank you for the pleasant meal and making a cooked fish hater enjoy his meal of "cooked fish".
