    Tteokbokki Lunch Special
    Olivia F.

Amazing, fresh, Korean food!! The lunch special is an amazing deal with just enough of each item PLUS an udon soup on the side. The gimbaps are absolutely beautiful and filled with each ingredient. The bolgogi gimbap is slightly sweet and tastes really good with the spicy mayo. We also tried the hotteok for dessert and it's chewy, crispy, and filled with sugar and nuts/seeds - not too sweet and best when it's hot. The lady at the counter was super sweet. Can't wait to come back!

Little spot that offers big Korean flavors. I had the spicy pork lunch special. For less than 20 bucks, I got a delicious bowl of udon noodle soup. The noodles had the perfect, chewy texture and the broth was light yet rich. The lunch plate also came with a pile of sweet, savory spicy pork; kimbap; gyoza; and a refreshing salad. I thought it was delicious and a good value. Dine-in or take-out. Highly recommend.

My partner and I love finding places that offer a lunch special with a little bit of everything. A lot of spots only do lunch menus on weekdays, so we were happy to find this place offers their lunch special seven days a week. We came on a Saturday around 2 PM and it was pretty quiet, just one other family there. Service was great. The staff was friendly and checked in often without being overbearing. I ordered the fried chicken lunch set which came with fried chicken thighs, classic kimbap, salad, gyoza, and udon soup. It was only $16 which is a really good deal for how much food you get. Everything was tasty. I especially liked the salad dressing. It was light and refreshing, similar to the carrot-based ones you get at Japanese restaurants. I had read a review saying the udon soup wasn't good, but I disagree. It tasted just like what you'd expect from a solid Japanese spot. The only downside was that the chicken thigh was a little dry. I asked for the sauce on the side since it looked really sweet in the photos, and I'm glad I did. It had a flavor kind of like honey walnut shrimp, which isn't my favorite but not bad either. Overall I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back. Next time I'll probably try the spicy pork since that looked really good.

    Kimchi Fried Rice (with Spam)

On last Saturday evening, came here for dinner. I got the kimchi fried rice with the add-on of spam. It comes with complimentary soup. (I think it's some sort of tofu soup). Everything was splendid. It felt very hearty. The spam I think made it much more filling but I also liked that the flavor of the kimchi stood out. The service was great, I got the food quite fast. And I liked the decorations for the place.

I've ordered for pick up a couple of times and dined in with my family once. The food is always delicious and service excellent. The jap chae is my favorite! I hope they stick around for a while!

This is a nice small restaurant with tasty food. The owner is a very sweet lady who was running all the tables. We enjoyed the katsu curry, masubi, and sushi roll we ordered. The katsu had such nice presentation! Although we didn't love the flavor of the udon noodles, we're willing to try a different soup next time. The prices are good, too! It's definitely worth a visit.

I'm so bad at taking pics before I eat I only snapped a pic of the Classic kimbap roll :( I'm Korean so my expectation for Korean food when I eat out is usually pretty high bc nothing compares to my mom's home cooking. Me and my boyfriend only got the kimbap rolls here for a quick snack bc we were in the area and driving back down to SoCal. We got the classic, bulgogi, and spicy pork kimbap roll. The pieces are huge btw. The classic one was delicious and had familiar flavor notes to what I'm used to. I like how the ingredients inside were all thinly sliced. The bulgogi one was good too but tasted a little bland for my liking. The spicy pork I did not like at all. I don't think they should make a kimbap with that meat. It's too sweet and doesn't match the other ingredients that go in the kimbap. We still ate it all though. Pretty cute little Korean spot if you're in Livermore looking for a snack. It's also pretty effin expensive. My total was like 44-45$ for 3 rolls

My gf and I decided to drive down after finding this spot on yelp while we were at the gym. Korner's roll and bowl is conveniently located in a pretty empty plaza. So upon arrival, there was a lot of parking available as it seemed to be the only restaurant around. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated and were given menus. They offer a variety of rice bowls with different proteins (spicy pork, soy salmon, beef, etc), kimbaps, sushi rolls, and Korean appetizers like japchae or dumplings. We ordered the spicy pork rice bowl, soy salmon bowl, and the japchae. The japchae was cooked in a sweet soy sauce and was very fragrant. The rice bowls were really generous in portions that came with a small salad, soup, and some fruit. The food was so delightful, we ended up ordering some kimbaps to go to enjoy as a midnight snack. The service was great too! Being such a small location, you definitely get the attention for a pretty detailed service. Overall, korner's is a great place to get a small bite and quick fix for Korean food. For their quaint, home cooked style meal, and prices that's fair; I'd definitely recommend korner's.

Korner's Roll & Bowl opened where Manpuku was. Inside dining only. Though Japanese food is listed, the Korean version is served. Ordered when served. Food came in 10ish minutes. Decor slight. Offerings (Korean): appetizers & sides, desserts, mains (katsu, teriyaki, bibimbap), kimbap, lunch specials, rice bowls, drinks, noodle bowls, drinks. Bites: lunch specials-beef bulgogi (18) -2 piece gyoza: small, crunchy dumplings with tender fillings. Tastes freshly made -1/2 classic kimbap with fresh fillings of burdock, carrots, ham, imitation crab, cucumber, egg, pickled radish. Different flavas layered & distinct. Deliz.. -tasty mixed green salad with "orange zest?" dressing, orange sections -beef bulgogi tender juicy slices with sesame oil & other flavas. Generous portion. -small udon noodle soup in soy broth garnished with green onions & fish cake pieces. Yummy! 4.5 stars lunch specials worthy. Good choice to experience many aspects of Korean cuisine. Fresh!

Decided to try a fairly new Korean spot today. I got the spicy pork lunch special and it came with all that's in the pic! Everything was delish, great service and fast. I'll be back to try the other items.

This restaurant replaces Manpuku, an old favorite of our family from the time we lived nearby a decade ago. I visited with our daughters a few weeks ago while their mom was on a work trip, and they were both quite upset that their favorite "cheep cheep noodle" restaurant was no more (the owners, who treated us like family, retired and moved). We decided to stay and give the new place a chance. We ordered udon bowls, kimbop and a couple of appetizers. The food was good and I enjoyed it, especially the fish cake that was served with my kimchi udon bowl. But the girls were not in a good mood and picked at their plates. We didn't linger long. Bill was about $70. Service was efficient but business-like. Likely won't be back with family.

FRIED WONTONS AKA POSTICKERS AKA GYOZA AKA YAKI MANDOO (KOREAN)

FIRST OF ALL!!!! This review is based on from my honest experience there and seeing how it ran on a busy early afternoon with customers and the restaurant. The food is great!! I'm Korean and go there very often. For the people that aren't familiar with this type of food (like some reviewers below ) This is street food we eat for a quick bite or after hours. So if you're not familiar with our KOR-JAP street food then please google it or whatever before you talk about food you have no clue with. Not your normal Korean place that serves side dishes (Panchan Kimchee etc and soups) Service was great too, you know when it's a family business and know the difference between a nice and mean family. Im guessing it's the mother, father, and the daughter? Very nice family and I can feel that "VIBE" of trying to make thier customers happy. I get that its a bit tough for a small business to be faster when it's busy all the time and its overwhelming especially in the food business (all of you food owners know the feeling). Out of respect please just wait they're trying hard and for me it was worth not only cause the food was great but just to know the family didn't have to feel bad and stress from all the pressure. I tipped them very well for just trying thier best with a smile on thier face while under pressure. We ordered mult things and they are very very delicious!! this is for sure korean street food. Katsu, bulgogi fries, some rolls, chicken karage (large chicken bites) and also they gave me a order of potstickers (aka gyoza aka fried wontons, we Koreans call it yaki mandoo) and a drink for my daughter for free cause we waited only 20 min for a huge order. They didn't have to do that but it shows when a business cares. *************note************* I recommend ordering by phone ahead of time since theyre so busy. As a business owner i know how hectic it gets when a small family business with a family staff is busy. So respectfully for the family please be patient with kindness.. I've seen some DoorDash ppl etc act rude. That's the problem with todays world, nobody's perfect and we're all here to make a living. Please wait cause the food is made with care. After a loooong day of work afterwards my kids I want to eat here sometimes picking up some rolls and appetizers. PLEASE you must try the rolls!!!! all choices are good. mine is the tuna!! Sooo flavorful! I think they have wings but not available yet since the business is still pretty much new. Oh BTW.. some of these reviews on here are ridiculous lol. I never like bashing small business period unless the owners are jerks. They have families to feed just like you. If you don't understand what our Korean TRADITIONAL FOOD versus STREET FOOD is then please don't leave reviews, horrible people out there, everybody has different taste so that's why every single one of you should just go try it out for yourself whether you like it or not. It's crazy to see some people here say ridiculous things when they're not even from our country. Go to Panda Express I'm sure their AUTHENTIC Chinese food is great lol. Spread love and not hate.

In the Tri-Valley, there are several Korean BBQ options and we've tried most. YakiniQ consistently gets our business for consistent quality. We were tempted to try the "new" wagyu AYCE place but the multi-hour wait at that place is an absolute no-go. I cannot call YakiniQ a backup since the family always enjoys the food and ordering process here. I am glad we came here instead. Service is always fast, attentive and efficient. The internet was down so it was cash only - which was fine, inconvenient, but not their fault. We ordered with the hostess because their QR code menu wasn't working, probably due to the internet being out. Also fine. We ordered two plates of spicy bulgogi, one order of chicken, and three bowls of rice. The rice was dry, but that's fine because that's not why you go to kbbq. The portions were small, which should have been fine because it's all you can eat. However, we could not get any more service. The manager had taken over taking orders, and we watched her walk past our table multiple times. We watched her service other tables and not hear us try to get her attention. We got the attention of the hostess (with the help of the table next to us, who was also struggling to get any attention) who then said the manager would be right over to us. We never spoke to a manager. We decided to ask for the check instead. I had to step out because my baby was becoming a handful. My husband asked for the check, expressing that paying the full charge for the lack of service or food we received felt disrespectful, and was told the manager could help us. The manager never spoke to him, despite him waiting after the hostess told him again that she would. The only person in our group of three who left satisfied at all had already ate a lunch somewhere else before. My husband and I left hungry and disappointed. Two stars because the hostess was friendly. We will not be back.
