Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the standard Chinese American items and happy that they added macaroni and cheese!!!

I would have written this review sooner, but we have all been suffering with extreme food poisoning since eating here, and today is the first day I feel even somewhat okay-ish again. None of the food was the proper temperature. I should have left, but when we brought this up to the staff, they pretended not to speak English. I switched first to Mandarin, then to Cantonese, and they literally turned and walked away. Sushi rolls were CRUNCHY because they had gotten stale from sitting so long. The fish was tangy like it had gone bad. The hibachi was fine, easily the best feature. Manager kicked us out not long after being seated because they said they didn't have enough customers and were closing. They didn't knock anything off the price, but we still had to leave. We tipped the sushi guy, the hibachi guy, AND our table waitress, and she made a comment about us not being generous enough, possibly because we gave the grill guy and sushi guy only $3 each, but c'mon. Completely ripped off, and have been suffering awful food poisoning for days now. Crazy levels of bad. I hate leaving 1-star reviews, but this place deserves it. I will be following up with the health department out of concern for my fellow Yelpers and other customers. read more

I love going here because you can pick and choose what you'd like to eat and you can also design your own plate at the hibachi bar and get it cooked right there. There is also a sushi bar of fresh made sushi with a variety. So we went here for my birthday it was very delicious and the staff is always so nice. read more

Revisited after not going for about 6 months. The entire inside of the buffet is redone. Everything is brighter, lots of white and marble. It doesn't look like the 80s vaporwave aesthetic I enjoyed anymore, the palm trees and fountain are gone unfortunately. That being said, it does look nice and very new on the inside now. Outside is the same. The food and service are also the same. The pot stickers are actually probably the best thing in the buffet, couldn't believe how good they were. Most things are standard buffet. Chicken was good, lo mein and rice were good, nuggets and fries were good. Giant 20,000+ square foot buffet, it's accommodating. $13.99 for lunch and $18.99 for dinner is a steal these days. The salmon is so delish! Food is on point! Still haven't tried the sushi & hibachi(I might do that next time). The desserts weren't really good. They either were stale(froot loops marshmallow treat) treat or tasted cheap(ice cream). The only one that was good was the fresh fruits & red velvet cake. This spot is my bf's fave buffet. I would call this a "hit or miss" kind of buffet. The food that's good is REALLY good, but the food that's bad is gross. The fried pork dumplings, beef and broccoli, lo mein, fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken are delicious. I would recommend avoiding the sushi as it tastes like it came from a gas station. They also have a hibachi made to order, which is good. The service was bare minimum as must buffets, but my drink never went empty, so I approve. The restaurant is really just one but room with no dividers to break it up, so it's very loud/noisy/echoy. It's not great for conversation. read more

Hello everyone The food is very good the people who work here make sure to get the food out fast. They don't wait for you to ask about something. The atmosphere here is wonderful I would definitely come back and I will tell my friends and family to come as well. The price for dinner is about $18 per adult and to say the price is a great value for what you can get they have crawfish sushi comfort food and other wonderful food this okay is a must stop in and enjoy a meal I will give this place two thumbs up. read more

Wanted to visit this place for a while. I liked it! It doesn't have overwhelming amount of food, and that's very nice! I loved sushi there. Usually sushi in buffets are not the best, but here they were better than average and some sushi places that I've previously been to. I didn't really like egg rolls and stuffed shrimp. I actually also enjoyed hibachi there (no extra charge). Service is fast, servers are kind. It's a little dark inside, my personal preference is little lighter spaces. Don't look at the Koi fish pond when you enter, doesn't look like it's been cleaned for ages and feel bad for the fish in there :( It's a good variety and selection of food. Went to the lunch buffet because we were starving at 1:30 on a weekday. Typical Asian buffet with some American items thrown in for kids. Lots of options and the steam tables were always full. Nothing was great and nothing was terrible. The sushi was ok, but even local grocery stores have better variety and quality. Waitress was efficient at clearing dirty plates whenever we went to the buffet lines. Dining room itself is very dark and restrooms are even darker! One complaint is that when we sat down, our hostess asked what kind of soda we wanted. Since we don't generally order drinks when going out due to the cost, I asked if it was included in the meal price. She confirmed it was, so we each got one. When the bill came, I noticed we were charged for them and brought it to the waitress' attention. She said sodas are not included and it must have been a miscommunication. We've driven past this place many times so finally decided to go for it. The surprise of it was actually excellent! It's not much to look at inside or out but here's the five star. The five star is staff is helpful and responsive. Hibachi and sushi for a buffet are actually good , it's not gourmet but the highlight for sure. And the price! The price is 11.99 for lunch, 14.99 for dinner, and 15.99 for weekends. This is really well priced for competitive as I have paid for $25 for much more disappointing buffets. This is good. The three star comes from that the buffet food is well buffet food. It's not gonna be tasty or crazy good it's just mass food quality. It is deeply concerning and unacceptable that a male employee (who wouldn't tell me his name, but management claimed his name was Juan) entered and began cleaning the women's restroom while it was still occupied, let alone occupied by a young girl. When the issue was addressed, the employee did not demonstrate accountability for their actions and failed to show appropriate concern for my daughter's experience. He made my daughter very uncomfortable by entering the restroom, then tried to engage in conversation with her during a very private moment. This behavior is a clear invasion of privacy and demonstrates a serious lack of judgment and respect for personal boundaries. Immediate steps should be taken to ensure that this never happens again and privacy and safety is maintained. Everyone deserves to feel secure, respected, and safe. I went on a Sunday afternoon and although it was jam packed there was no wait time (for a party of 4). There was consistent turn around of the food with it all being fresh and hot. The food was delicious and had a huge variety! Hibachi is all included and they even have sushi that was made fresh. For a $20 buffet, this place was pretty decent. Me and the husband came for lunch the other day and we had a good experience. My husband loves seafood so the shrimp, crabs, fish and clams were a +. I love Sushi and thought the sushi were fresh and had a variety. The only annoying this was, two of the employees were really close to us and kept speaking loudly in their own language. Ok so, I have been a patron of this place off and on. It's really hit or mis, but last night sealed the deal for me - never ever going to return. Not even the faux-sushi bar is enough to save the poor quality food and choices. If the pizza and sweet rolls taste better than the chinese food at a chinese buffet, we have a problem. Everything fried tasted like it was cooked in dirty oil.... the oil taste was unpleasant and harsh. I realize chinese buffets are known to have alternative dishes, but when the alternatives start to outnumber.... I don't think anyone was eating the pasta and meatballs lol. I was very confused. Cheeseballs? The options have gotten weirder and weirder. Lastly, and this has happened my couple of visits.... the servers seem to hound you for tips. They sit on top of you at the end. I can understand being nearby out of fear of tip theft.... but the proper etiquette is to let a diner leave the tip for the server to pick up, not stand over and stare for one. read more

I set my expectations accordingly, and I set the bar pretty low for an asian buffet BUT this place does a pretty good job, especially when the cost for lunch is less than $10. The best foods are the fried foods - loved the chicken fingers and creamy coconut shrimp. The fresh whole fish is also a pretty impressive find at a buffet. Of course it's not popular because it has bones and people are too lazy to eat it, but it is delicious. Although there are pictures of crabs and lobsters on this Yelp page from 2015, I didn't see any when I went. There's also a variety of american and other ethnic foods if asian food isn't enough. On top of that, there's a hibachi grill and a sushi station. The hibachi is a select your own ingredients and they make it for you fresh. I tried it and wasn't impressed. This place is big, and has a lot of different dishes to offer for a great price! This is the perfect spot to go with a group of friends (10 and up), cause it allows you to take over a large part of the dinning area. Why? To make sure you have a lot of fun while eating all that good stuff, and to avoid that you are sitting too close to certain costumers. Those costumers that have no shame in the way they devour large quantities of food, I believe gluttons is another word. I know that's the kind of people these establishments draw to themselves, and that's fine with me, but that does not mean I have to see, or hear them eat! For a family with 4 I rather go to a restaurant with a little bit more privacy, but with a large group I don't care. Here we were, Me and my husband along with some family had decided to go out for my husband's birthday. Things seemed alright, the food was average ish but i will get to that later. As we were eating out sub par food, i glance behind me and seeing a lady. Thinking nothing of it i got up to go get some of the few selections of food that wouldn't kill. As i walk back to my table with my sad selection, my eyes catch back onto the table behind us. I stood there momentarily processing what the actual fuck i was looking at. This lady had her shoes and socks off, squatting on the booth. Her toes gripping the poor fabric of the seat, strong as steel. It was honestly disgusting to look at, but the waiters never said any thing. It was a very awkward experience. Moving on..While the service was good a-lot of the food was chewy, and most of it was just skin or fried and 0 meat on anything. There are decent options with multiple rows of food to try and for the most part at a buffet, ones expectations should not be extremely high but for your dollar, you do hope to find something to love and at the end of the day, I was able to find a few various dishes that were ok with the flavor but not too many. I went with the safe option of beef and broccoli. The beef was cold and this hurt my soul to the core only because I walked in when you all first opened. The food should at least still be lukewarm, uness it is prepared hours before and set out hours before you open the doors. The broccoli was not all that bad for I added some salt for an additional pop to the bite. I also found that your orange chicken had a decent bite and was a bit spicy, so whoever added sauce to that thang-thang knew exactly how to bring life to some chicken! General Tso had an attitude problem when I took a bite. I really have no idea as to why that chicken was so angry but I tried to chew and it did not budge. That chicken was in the gym lifting weights for it was too tough for words to even express but here I am trying my best to explain the situation. In whole, you have great room for improvement here. I would say, let us work on setting the food out closer to opening, so it has a fair chance in the heated department and maybe pay more attention to detail in the consistency of some of the meats. I was here around August 17, 2019. Under New Management a few friends like it here took me as a treat. The food was good and just spending the time with my friends were I will share the plates we all had at various times. I don't know what the hell happened to this place but it fell off. Fell off so hard the waiters are all lost, know little to no english and that night as you can see in the photo I uploaded was just ridiculous.No silverware just plastic and Styrofoam everything and reusing the ones we had , who knows if they were using the same one we used for other patrons . For the price of this I would have preferred take out Chinese and I probably wouldn't have gotten hounded to leave a tip, as I also some patrons have the same problem. Went for dinner with my family on a Sunday a few weeks ago. Had to wait at least 15 minutes to be seated. (I assume this is since the hype of their grand opening). Honestly, the food was not very flavorful. Most were greasy and bland. The desserts were dry mini brownies, sweet salted peanuts and a couple other boring options. The line for hibachi was too long to wait in and the sushi wasn't worth filling up on. Drive a little further and go to Pacific Buffet & Grill in Hamden or Wallingford. Ten times better. read more

If I had three wives and seven kids (like certain Reality TV families), I'd take them here for dinner as they could feed themselves just fine for less than $12 each. I came here with my brother and his friend after a long night out. This was the greatest thing that we could have stumbled upon in the area. The sushi was very fresh and delicious, with the meal overall being very good. Some of the other cooked dishes like the chicken teriyaki could have used a little more heat but it was still good. I've never written a review before, but this place has so many of my favorites so I just had to give them some credit. I came from the west coast to spend the week with my family for Halloween and I was absolutely jealous of what they are serving here compared to what we get back home! They have so many of my favorites, such as oysters, crab, and calamari. They also serve whole fish on tray, unlike those fish fillets you'd get frozen in packages, these looked freshly caught! They also serve a variety of food you'd expect from other Chinese restaurants, like Sushi, hibachi grill, as well as few America dishes. Decor is simple but not lacking. They have a really beautiful fish fountain perfect for picture taking and even better if you have children because they let you feed their fish! Overall I gave them a 4 star, because there are other minor setbacks but It was a really enjoybale experience nonetheless.
