Delicious experience at a hidden gem recommended by a friend! The portions were huge for the price. The salsa bar is unique - I love that you can adapt your salsa to your spice profile. The service was quick and friendly. My burrito was tasty and juicy! The blackberry margarita was a little strong but the perfect balance of savory and sweet! And the dessert made the meal! We ordered the strawberry rolls off the specials menu and they were warm and melted in my mouth. Will definitely come back again to try the many other tasty items on their menu!

This is supposed to be Carne Asada.

First time ordering from this place. If you want traditional authentic Mexican food don't eat here. I order a Carne Asada, and what I got was some chunks of some kind of salty meat mixed with onions. The rice, beans and guacamole were ok. I also ordered a Torta de Milanesa de pollo and it was the same story, some chunks of badly seasoned chicken. Definitely not worth the $40

Complimentary warm chips made in the restaurant! There's a salsa bar

Really an excellent place! I returned after almost a year and a half and Jessica remembered me and my favorite flan! It's that sort of place! Great service and really good comfort food. It's really popular and a relaxed place! Lots of parking, and there isn't a wait even if they're busy because there's a lot of seating.

In order to complete our 169 town restaurant challenge, we stopped at Baja's Authentic Mexican Restaurant for dinner. From the outside it doesn't look like much as it's in a mini plaza. Don't let that fool you. Not a reflection of the restaurant at all! When we walked in, we we walked up a mini hallway and we were quickly and warmly welcomed and the hostess brought us to our table. We were quickly given tortilla chips, but there was no salsa. Our server Gabby greeted us and she was super friendly. She informed us that there was a salsa bar! The salsa bar reminded me a little of how the Pizza Hut salad bar looked like back in the day. (decor of it) They had the hotter salsa's on one side and the milder salsa's on the other. As I am a lover of spicer salsa's I opted for the hotter ones and they were all great! I was very indecisive and couldn't decide. I decided on chicken fajitas. Instead of smaller size flour tortillas, (typical taco size) I received two large burrito sized ones! I was not expecting that. The tortillas were warmed, soft and delicious. The fajitas themselves, the flavor was good but I was a little disappointed though. I was expecting them more to be sizzling and on a different type of plate of plate than a typical dinner plate. There was an abundance amount of peppers and onions as well. I don't mind onion flavor but not actual onions. I had to work around a lot of it. I was not expecting that much! My husband ordered the diablo shrimp without tomatoes. He enjoyed his entree and even though he has a higher tolerance for spice, mentioned how there was a kick to his meal. Gabby checked in on us regularly and even accommodated ways to save us money which was nice. My husband didn't want sour cream that came w/ his meal but I wanted some that didn't come w/ mine so he said for his on the side in order for us not to be charged. I am glad we started back up the 169 town restaurant challenge. However, if I am in the area again (Maybe at Ikea for example) I would definitely stop here again as there was so many different items I wanted to try!

Mexicans nacho fries! Yum, very large serving. Beautiful to look at. Not spicy. Pickles carrots, jalapeños, lots of cheese, steak fries, steak. Asked for the quac and sour cream in the side because there will be leftovers!

One of the best taco place around. Looks like such a hole in the wall destination but the food here is truly worth the trip.

Parking is available behind the restaurant, and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Must-haves: - Prime rib: Tender, cooked perfectly medium rare as ordered. 5/5 - French onion soup: Forgot to take a picture, but it was the star of the meal. Rich, flavorful, and comforting. 10/5 - Fried calamari (NY style): The marinara dip had garlic and hot peppers. It wasn't spicy (to us), but added a nice kick. The calamari itself was crispy and well done. 5/5 - Fries: Shoestring style, crispy, and just right. 5/5 What to skip: - Their pasta dishes. The chicken parm with linguini came in a very generous portion, but the sauce was watered down, the flavor lacking, and the chicken cutlets were dry and soggy. 3/5 - Seafood pasta (not pictured): Same issue with the sauce - bland and watered down. The portion was large, but the flavor didn't hold up. 2/5

Boneless ribs & steak are their staples, but don't sleep on their pulled pork sandwiches! Only drawback today was the strawberry cheesecake dessert was served frozen solid. Couldn't really enjoy it. TIP: Try to go off hours if possible as the food is slammin good, and the crowds show up early so you could be waiting awhile. Avoid the wait by going early Sunday (12p-1p) or in the middle of the day during the week. Love this place & the soundtrack to boot; will be back.

That kind of hospitality matters. The vibe? Cool, modern, slightly moody -- perfect accidental Valentine's dinner energy. The service was on point all night. Attentive, smooth, and genuinely warm. Now let's talk about the moment that activated my Dominican DNA. I ordered the Sweet Plantains with Cilantro Aioli as an appetizer and when I saw plátanos on that menu? República Dominicana presente. . I felt seen. For my main, I had the Temple Salad and added a burger patty (because balance is important ). Fresh, flavorful, satisfying. I came on a Wednesday for the $17.99 lobster roll special and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. It is a quarter pound of lobster and you get actual lumps of claw and meat rather than the shredded stuff some other places serve. The butter it's sautéed in is seasoned delicately to accentuate the fresh lobster instead of covering up the taste. The portion was surprisingly large and it comes on a fresh bun that is lightly buttered and toasted. It even comes with a little cup of extra butter which I totally slathered on because I love butter! Every bite was so fresh and soft. The roll comes with fries and I did the optional $5 upcharge for the lobster bisque. That was also the best I've ever had because I've never seen bisque with such large chunks of lobster in it. It was just crazy good. Everything was well worth the price and I'd honestly come back even on days when it's not a special.
