I got a quote back in November from this company who I was referred to by my parents who have used them for the last few years. We unfortunately had to hold off on moving forward as we had some unforeseen circumstances that needed to be resolved prior. The gentleman that gave us the quote was punctual and friendly and I let him know we would be in touch once the dust settled. Fast forward to today, I reached back out via email because I had received a flyer in the mail advertising 25% off newly installed equipment so I wanted an updated quote as I know these are only good for 30 days per the fine print. I was told the previous quote was still accurate so I inquired about the advertisement. I was told that if they applied the flyer discount they would be in the red. I was very confused... Why advertise a 25% discount if there is no intention of honoring the flyer? Very disappointed to say the least. read more

Our AC was only blowing warm air, so we gave Dan's a call to come out. We were able to get next-day service. Ray was the technician that came by. Despite it being close to 100 degrees outside & him running a bit behind schedule, he was very professional & pleasant. Within 5 minutes, he diagnosed the issue & just a few minutes after that we had cold air blowing again! He gave us some information on what the issue was (the capacitor had failed) & he gave us some recommendations for twice-yearly maintenance. Dan's Top Notch has been my go-to since my furnace decided to retire in the middle of a cold winter (isn't that when it always happens?) a couple years after I bought my house. I chose Dan's Top Notch because of the positive reviews online, proximity to me, and availability to get out here right away. They send Ray--who just celebrated his 20-year anniversary with the company--who got the poor girl working again, but made clear that she was wanting to pack up and head to Florida for retirement. We discussed various units and what would work best for my home and its square footage, and he and a team from Dan's Top Notch got it installed quickly without leaving my garage looking like a tornado had hit. Fast-forward a couple of years later, now in the midst of our 114+ degree summer (again...why always when there are extreme temperatures does it happen?!?), when my AC unit thought "Retirement does sound really nice." Miraculously, Dan's Top Notch was able to get her working for another couple of weeks while we got my new unit shipped in--because of COVID, there was a wait on every kind of appliance, given the shutdowns of production of parts overseas. And just this afternoon, Ray was out to replace a part that had shorted out on my AC unit in the garage and was here barely longer than a blink of an eye because he's so seasoned and knowledgeable and was able to diagnose and fix the issue at lightning speed. I cannot imagine working with another heating and cooling company. How fitting that their name is Dan's Top Notch because they truly are top notch. Had Ray from Dans top notch come out and diagnose a problem with my heater not heating well, not only did he find the problem quickly he also did some additional diagnostics to make sure it would work after he left. Quick, friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous... and didn't try to constantly upsell and say there is nothing they can do like other companies do.. just fixed my problem and fixed it fast. I have used Dan's Top Notch Heating & Cooling 3 times now...and could not be happier! The first was a furnace service for the house I just purchased. I noticed it was super hot upstairs...not at all pleasant. They suggested I add a 2-zone system to existing furnace. BEST investment I have made. Completely took care of my problem!! Last week I had them out to service my Lennox AC. It was filthy and apparently hadn't been serviced since it was installed about 7 years ago. From the office staff to Dan and his crew, everyone is excellent to work with. When phoning in to set an appointment, the woman on the phone was extremely helpful. She listened to my problem then provided great feedback. When it came to the service call, Dan and Cody can't be beat. They arrived on time, were respectful of their surroundings and extremely efficient while still making sure I understood the situation and the remedy. Dan also noticed a component of the fireplace which was likely to fail and replaced it to save another service call. (he was working on a 20 year old gas fireplace). He took time out the end of the day to come back to answer a question and be sure we were completely satisfied and happy. Customer service just isn't there. They installed 3 mini splits for me. Several problems and call backs. I was not annoyed until my unit in the loft leaked and destroyed floor and ceiling due to poor condensate hose installation. Their insurance won't pay, and they are not standing behind their mistake, which they acknowledged. It was a huge repair. The mini splits leak often when in AC mode. Of course this is always in hot weather, and Dan's takes two weeks to get to you. No loyalty or customer appreciation. Just take your money, do substandard work or whatever, never check back to see if system is working. I put a new system in my new house and found someone else to do a whole new heating, cooling system, including new ducting for about twice what I paid Dan for 3 mini splits 3 years ago. read more

Dont you love it. The A/C system always fails during peak heat season, when A/C bussinesses are extremely busy. I called several company's that were at least 4 days out from any service visit. Dan's top notch was able to service our A/C system within a day of requesting service, that's fast. The tech came out, wore a face mask and dust booties. A full inspection was done. New filter installed, compasitor was replace and bammm cold air again. On top of that they give 5% discount for repairs to veteans. Thank you for that. Beware...beware...beware...just had this company come out and give me a bid. I wanted to use this company because it was local and also my mother used them 3 years ago when buying her 2 ductless mini splits (18,000btu and 22,000btu). They gave me a quote for 1...1 ductless mini split (18,000btu) that was the exact same quote as my mother's quote for 2 units. Then when I called to ask about all of this, the guy that bids jobs tells me there is nothing he can do and that is a good bid. So much for shopping local. Just had our gas furnace repaired--blower needed to be replaced. Mike did an outstanding job explaining precisely what was wrong and needed to be replaced. Parts needed to be ordered but Mike was back within 5 days to do all repairs. He was prompt, courteous and is extremely skilled at what he does. Cody was also outstanding each time I spoke with him on the phone. Price I thought was very fair and reasonable. They will not try to sell you what you don't need. I know this because Mike saw that one of our electrodes which he thought would need replacing, did not need to be replaced. This reduced my bill by over $90.00. A technician named Ray came out and performed their $69.95 service. He told us that we needed a new A/C unit because our lines were leaking, the refrigerant had an acid smell, we needed more refrigerant (around $900 worth) our lines and coil were freezing. Total cost to repair was over $1,200 and just wasn't worth it on a 12 yr old unit. He gave a quote of $4,352 & $4,752 for installation of new units. He told us we had 3 days to accept the offer to get the service call charge deducted off of the install charge but that we should call before the weekends hot weather to get on the schedule sooner. Thankfully, I wasn't going to be rushed and I contacted two other companies to come give me bids. Today, the 3rd company came out and asked if I wanted to replace or repair. I told him everything that I was told by Ray. He said that he would take a look. He didn't find a leak and our refrigerant was fine. He cleaned the coils and our house is cool again! He charged me $257.00. He said systems in this area, if cared for properly, should last up to 20 years because they are only used maybe 4 months out of the year. I bet you can guess who I will be calling for service next year! I understand that companies need business to make money but taking advantage of people is not the way to do it! An honest company that I can trust will get my future business and a referral to everyone I know! read more
