It's been awhile since I needed to find jewelry and it seems like after Covid, many of the high end…read moreprivately owned jewelry stores closed up. Yes, there are the big box stores but I have usually shopped at the private stores. I was in need of earrings and did a search. I found Lake Country and decided to drive over to see what inventory they had. Driving up to the store immediately made you wonder if you were in the right place as it was a well manicured farm, farm house, outbuilding for another business and the stand alone jewelry store. Country looking building. Walked in to see show cases outlining the front room and in the back was the repair equipment. I was treated immediately by Michelle and she asked me all sorts of questions to try and narrow down my search. Showed me many options and explained the differences. I needed something special for a birthday that would also be used for an upcoming wedding and eventually I found exactly what I was looking for. Never any pressure. We discussed pricing and they wrapped it for me. And the gift...her eyes were wide as saucers when she opened it, and she loves the earrings. Great experience and I will come back here for other items in the future. It is worth the visit if you are looking for high end jewelry.

Dropped off my late FIL's watch in early June. "We will call you with a time and price…read moreestimate"...no one called. This was a sentimental piece, and I needed a new band, battery, and cosmetics for a scratch in the glass (well documented on the intake form by Olivia - who was thorough, professional, and lovely.) Voicemails weren't returned. I got a hold of someone 2.5 weeks later who said it wouldn't be done until late August. In September, after receiving no call, I reached back out. Michelle could not find my file, and when she returned my call said it would be several months because the battery was on back order I reminded her that they had my watch since June...so magically when she called back 2 hours later, it was done. At the store she was very dismissive (I wanted to know how to care for the watch and what they had done to it) but she talked in circles, clearly not knowing a single thing about my specific item or repair and caring more about the other customers in the store. She also "forgot" to give me my credit card back, as she charged me in the back office, and when I asked to take the watch home in its plastic baggie she said "nope! This bag is ours." Really? For fine jewelry you've had for half a year? Once home I realized the scratch hadn't been buffed out at all and the battery doesn't work. $105+ and 6 months to do nothing but replace a band. I chose this place because of the reviews and wanted to support a small business, but they showed no gentleness or sense of community. These people don't care about you and their work sucks.

The place is in the very back side of the mall. It's a very nice store with a nice variety of items. The man who helped me was very friendly and serviced me quickly. Overall it was a quick pleasant experience.

I am very unhappy with my recent experiences with Gold Creations. There are no warranties,…read moreguarantees, and they totally nickel and dime you if you need any work on the jewelry you purchased at their store. Nothing is free. You want your white gold bridal bands rhodium dipped, you will pay per ring. So the way to get this cheaper is to solder them together, which you will pay for. By the way, because they don't tell you this, when you solder them together they may not fit. You should consider getting them resized. Oh and they charge for that too. You want your appraisal updated, it's not free. Over the past year I have apparently chipped three diamonds. I did not know diamonds chipped, apparently that's a thing. I understand paying for them, but find it funny that I have had these rings for several years and never had an issue until recently. I have another ring from a mall jeweler and they stand by all the work. I lost a diamond and they replaced it for free. They rhodium dip my ring for free. Recently they resized it for free. They also reinforced the back of the band that I thought was thining for free. I am supposed to get this ring checked every six months for the warranty to be valid and have not because I have not been wearing it, it just sits in my jewelry box. That's okay, they recently checked it and re-validated the warranty. I have also purchased jewelry at Kessler's. Kessler's is amazing! They have a great warranty and stand behind their work and all your purchases. If I need anything done in the future I will be going to Kessler's. We will never go back to Gold Creations. They have lost our business. I used to tell everyone to go there I will now be telling everyone NOT to go there! Word of mouth is a great marketing tool!
