The Hilltop Mall is very depressing, but I like going there because I am very good at ignoring people, and there aren't a lot of crowds so they are easy to ignore. The Watch Gallery is on the ground floor outside the Wal-Mart entrance. I would never buy a watch there (they are not my style) but I go there to get the batteries replaced in all my watches. The man who works there is very professional. I have some funky watches and I could never figure out how to get to the back where the battery is housed. This guy does it with aplomb and only in a few minutes. I betcha didn't think I could use "aplomb" in this decade, did ya? So yeah, I'll drive all the way out to this guy because he's cool and he's nicer than the the other watch place in this mall. read more

I've been coming here for over 10 years I've always had a thing for watches and even had a pocket watch in middle school. When I bring my watches to get my batteries replaced the service is quick. I also come to get links taken off my watch (when I buy a new one) for it to fit right on my skinny wrist. Never had an issue. A long time ago they used to be located under the escalator by the Walmart. Then moved to where they are now (which used to be a Raider Image a long time ago). Today I went in because I needed a battery replacement (lasts about 7 months) and to get one of the small metal rods replaced since it was broken. Took about 10 minutes. I've never bought a watch here but they have some name brands and different styles. Cost is fair. Usually batter is $9 and they'll also replace a washer on the house but depending on how many watches you bring. I've been coming here a long time so I might get a washer for free haha. If you need watch repair then this is a place I recommend. Don't just watch, go and do it! Haha. read more

My husband and I took our two new watches from Christmas to this shop to have links from the bands removed. We were charged an exorbitant price of $10 for each watch for something that took the owner a few seconds to do. On top of that, we were charged sales tax for labor. Sales tax can only be charged for merchandise, not labor. We certainly won't take any future business here!! In addition, the owner is charging 9.75% sales tax. The sales tax rate decreased on July 1, 2011 by 1%. So, the rate is now 8.75%, not 9.75%. I usually use a jeweler in San Francisco. If they had even charged me for this service, it would have been for no more than $5 per watch. I really hate it when vendors take advantage of the public this way. read more

He made an excellent repair of my glasses. The top bar and bridge of my glasses broke right before a plane trip out of state. Lenscrafters sent me to Mike Toussi, and he did a great repair job, by finding a substitute bridge from his glasses collection, and they were as good as new. He is a hero! read more

I just had a great experience at watch gallery. I arrive with two watches, one of which I thought might be beyond repair. The man behind the counter said that it was repairable, as was the broken watch band on the other watch. He told me it would take a few minutes so I stepped outside and played with my son for about 10 minutes. The best watch repair place! Mike knows watches, knows fake from real, and if you're real with him, he will be real with you. My wife and I go in there about once a year to get batteries for many of our lots of watches. Some of them date to the 60's and are unusual, like a Bulova Accutron with a tuning fork from the 60's. Lots of Gucci, Citizen, and others. But Mike knows where you can take your watch if he can't do anything about it. Very personable. Get to know him, and he'll always take care of you. I used to travel to San Francisco for the really good watch repair shops for my watches until I discovered the Watch Gallery. This is really important for me because an authorized dealer would cost a mint to maintain all my watches (expensive habit). I was hesitant to take my watches to Hilltop Mall, thinking there was no market in the area so why would they have someone qualified to work on high end watches. However, I quickly learned that Mike is the best in the local area hands down! I trust my luxury watches to him and he has not disappointed once. I would like to give this place 0 stars!! First of all, I went in there to get the battery in my dolce & gabbana watch changed. There are two separate battery compartments in my watch. I told him to change only one because the other one was still good. They changed BOTH and charged me for BOTH! Also he finished changing another customers watch before mine that had come in after me. The WORST thing was that he had scratched the back plates where the battery is and when I confronted him about it he denied it. I then paid him and left very angry and disappointed. If you have an expensive watch or sunglasses that need to be repaired or need batteries changed DO NOT trust this place to be delicate with your item! read more

Prices are pretty high, but atleast they make our watches last longer than CVS ever did.

I came here under Yelp's recommendation and was not disappointed. I went in to buy a replacement strap and they had exactly what I was looking for at a very fair price. Also, Mike was really great and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. He even opened my Tissot and preformed a few tests to improve the chronograph's accuracy at no charge. I went there today to get a new battery for my watch. The guy told me that I had to remove the back and then he would install the battery! You would think that that was part of the service right? When I asked why he wanted me to do that, he was rude and unprofessional. I walked out and went upstairs to Express Repair and they took care of me and my watch in no time. Watch Gallery is the place to go in the Bay Area for fast, professional, and expert service on any kind of watch. It's an upscale establishment in a not so upscale mall, but it is worth the trip. Mike, the owner, has mastered the art of treating clients well and provides not only exceptional service, but a broad array of designer sunglasses and watches. I've been going to Mike for years, for keys, watches and watch batteries and repair and I have always been very pleased. However, yesterday he did what other watch repairers said was impossible. My husband had two old watches that he had been holding on to, a Hamilton and a Gucci. He took them to a couple of places near his job in Berkeley (His mistake...should have let me handle it from the beginning) and had been told they weren't fixable. Yesterday I took them to Mike and fifteen minutes later I walk out with one perfectly functioning watch and next week I will pick up the other one. I am a bit of a watch collector, so for my more expensive purchases (Tags and Movados), I always depend on Mike to adjust them and to tell me if it's a good choice.
