I've had an interesting experience here twice in the last couple of years. I've brought in my daily wear bulova watches (among others) here for simple battery replacement. Nothing fancy. The gentleman helped me on both occasions. Both times, the batteries did not last very long, on all my watches. The batteries ran out anywhere between 9 - 12 months, give or take. Something doesn't feel right. This wasn't the experience that I've had with battery replacements from other watch repair shops. Not looking to go back, and will find another repair shop. read more

I brought my wife's watch and my Tag here - was at the door at 11:00 when they said they opened, didn't show until 11:15. I left my watches here an came by at 3:00 and neither were done - do not leave your watches here, they prioritize walk in's which was not made clear at all. I decided to bring my watch to this business because I work in Walnut Creek and their reviews are great. I normally go to an Alameda jeweler to replace my watch battery, but my last experience was very bad. The jeweler delayed the repair, forgot about my watch when I came in to pick it up and installed the wrong battery which could have stopped the watch from working. I entered the Watch Zone and the lady behind the counter who greeted me was very nice. She replaced the battery within 5-10 minutes and asked me how long it has been since I replaced the battery. I told her it was around six months. She said the battery should have lasted longer than six months and told me why it did not last. My watch has several features that included a second hand that was used for the stopwatch. Little that I know I had it running constantly. She said that I should turn off the feature until I need to use it. Her service and recommendation for preserving the battery life was very valuable. At that point I decided I would have all my watches repaired by this business. I have been back twice since then and both times she told me that the person who replaced the battery installed the wrong battery. She told me that I am lucky it did not destroy my watches. One of the watches was missing the screws for the band and she showed me that the wrong size screw was installed. I was very irritated at the Alameda jeweler who did the repair previously, but I am immensely grateful to the staff at Watch Zone for their excellent service and care for my watches. I'm so grateful for Watch Zone for fixing my watch for only the price of a battery! I'd been told by Spitz that they would need to send my watch away and it would cost $600 to $700 to get it to work again. Because Watch Zone was skilled they were able to cleaned out the rust from an old battery and got my watch to work within 15 min. while I waited. I won't take my watches to any place else. read more

Do not support this vendor. When I returned my watch because of a dead battery, they denied having replaced it in the first place. If that was not outrageous enough, they started shouting at me to leave. They originally charged $35 for a new battery, and when I went to another vendor they replaced the battery for $22. They are expensive and do not stand by their work. read more

I bought a watch from a reputable dealer through eBay. A few weeks later, I found water in the case, and thought it might be my fault for leaving the crown loosened when I was in a steamy bathroom While servicing the watch, Tam was careful to take photos showing that eBay, during its authentication service, poorly reseated a gasket in the watch, and this resulted in the failure. Because of these photos, eBay agreed to reimburse me for the full cost of the overhaul, so I am very grateful. Do not use this business for your watch repair needs! I used this place for all mine and my husbands watch battery changes. My Armani watch ( 5 years old) suddenly stopped keeping time and I went to them to fix it. The lady was extremely short, rude and noncooperative. She claimed the battery was changed in 2021, I told her that is not true, she changed it 2 months ago! After much arguing, she offered to change the whole mechanism of the watch or clen it for 200.00!! She replaced perfectly good battery with new, and than put my old one back with much arguing. When I came over to speak with him and demanded the explanation "why both watches stopped working after my visit to his store" he kicked me out without explanation. right now I am considering legal avenues to sue him. I brought in my father's 1971 Citizen mechanical watch to be overhauled since it sat in my mother's jewelry box for 40 years; and when I ran it after all those years sitting it didn't keep good time. I also had the crystal replaced since it was cracked. This being an old watch there weren't many who were willing to open this due to it's age and parts are not easy to find. After a few weeks I received a call that my watch was done. The watch ran flawlessly and kept great time. Adjusting and winding the watch felt really solid. They were also able to find a suitable replacement for the crystal. Runs like it's brand new! Very happy with the work! I'm now enjoying the watch how my father did 40 years ago! read more
