DUH John's daughter was super snotty and I know more about Cars than she does guaranteed. they had to order parts which John said would take half the morning (so why did I have to show up at 8 AM and they said if I left and came back when the parts came in I would lose my place in line so what is the point of having appointments ? my car was there almost all day and I had that instinct when I pulled up like I need to just go over to the dealership they quoted me only $50 higher and it's a boxer engine in a Subaru so you want the dealership master technicians on it. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. Phong, the manager, went above and beyond from the very first phone call. He gave me a incredibly thorough over-the-phone assessment for a basic service and an AC Freon adjustment (something the dealership had never even recommended in the 11 years I've owned the car). In person, Phong was just as engaging, warm, and professional as he was on the phone. The final price came out just slightly over the estimate because they caught another small issue, but Phong took the time to explain exactly what they did and walked through all of his recommendations. Most importantly, Phong noticed that all four of my tires had dangerous cracks on the sidewalls from running into curbs during tight turns, and warned me they could blow out at any moment. I truly believe his sharp eye and honest recommendation saved my life! I already have an appointment at Costco this Saturday to get them replaced. After the first check, they said everything was fine. The brake sensors said they needed replacement but were actually wrong. I appreciated that they didn't just replace my brakes and take my money, honestly means a lot, especially in the auto industry. I still felt like there was something to be looked at and they had me come in and drive with their technical manager, Lorne. They were more than accommodating, Lorne was very thorough and talked me through everything and showed me what I needed to look for when they will need replacement. I appreciate that. Recent had trouble with my air conditioner and was looking for an honest auto repair shop. I did…read moresome research and decided to give Automotive Service of Roseville a try. I had him troubleshoot, an air-conditioning problem. Conduct an oil change, rotate the tires and do a brake flush. They took the time to explain how they do business and since I had to leave my vehicle there overnight I was concerned about leaving it out. They advised me that all vehicles are stored in protected lot with a tall barbed wire fence so it will be very secure. They did an amazing job and they did a nice job communicating the progress and final results. The price was very reasonable and they even washed the truck for me! I will back for all my auto repair needs.

ASR was my "go-to" for about 4 years, and , generally, saved me money on most simple services for my 1997 Jag. ASR actually replaced tail light bulbs and would do a pre-trip inspection, and shuttle home if necessary, without charge. I simply do not have a deep pocket that the Jaguar dealer's service dept requires, and I am suspicious of all repair shops, all genres. In March, I experienced dash warning lights and obvious erroneous engine temp gauge readings("dummy" gauge). ASR did some necessary repairs, but I was dissatisfied with the information they supplied about additional work and questioned their expertise in continuing to work on the car, as this car has some quirks and even is different from later '97s. .....which I reminded them of several times. Bottom line; their inexperience with this particular car resulted in some things that were done incorrectly and which could have caused serious damage(wrong wrong wrong radiator hose clamps). Made no mention of BAD motor mounts. AND left dents in upper fender near hood seam, both sides(obvious to me even that it was from a tech leaning on fender). I did not take it back after discovering the issues, my bad move there, but I had contacted them through two different emails, with details.... apparently they didn't receive one of those. And the one they did get, their reply went to my "junk mail", so I did not see it and assumed they were ignoring me. Eventually, I did send them photos of the dents, etc, and they DID then ignore me. My insurance would not cover it, given they would need one claim for each fender, but also filing a claim would cause my rate to go up. I did take my car to an "indie" Jag/Rover shop, for remaining repairs.... Pricier but more knowledgeable, which will give me piece of mind. Probably ASR is a competent shop for average cars, just not my car.

I found them to be very honest and fair pricing (not the cheapest, but quality work). What has prompted me to write this review today is the experience I had with Justin on the phone a couple of days ago. My husband and I recently purchased a 2022 Hyundai Sonata. While looking through the owner's manual we noticed that this car specifically recommends spark plug replacement at 40,000 miles. We just hit that and and not wanting to void our warranty we called to arrange a spark plug replacement. To note, I could have done this myself, but again I don't want to give Hyundai any reason to say the engine failed due to improper maintenance. When I called to inquire about pricing, Justin immediately told me I don't need to change them this early. He then proceeded to tell me that Hyundai just recommends this to get people to spend more money. He told me he used to work for them and it isn't the spark plugs that is the problem with their engines but rather a rod. Look, I appreciate someone trying to save me money, but I also believe that when a car is still under warranty manufacturer recommendations should be followed. I probably would not have written this review except I saw Mary K's review and have to agree that Justin seems to have some kind of bias against Hyundai. I know their GDI engines were not great, but this is a newer model and it has a turbo engine and I was just trying to do what was right for the car. I ended up making the appointment with another trusted mechanic.
