A whole month after my original review, the company finally responded--trying to save face with a flimsy excuse that's simply not true. According to them, the reason they hung up on me and never followed up was because they needed the owner's approval to proceed? That's laughable. Here's what actually happened: The owner himself was the one who asked me to remove my belongings. And if Restoration Masters had paid even 10% attention during the two-minute phone call--before they abruptly hung up on me to take a higher-paying lead--they would've clearly understood that my insurance only covered cleaning and storage of my personal items. All structural repairs were the owner's responsibility. It took them 30 days to come up with this excuse? That alone speaks volumes. Shady practices and zero professionalism. Beware. read more

After the Eaton Fire, our house in Altadena was permeated by ash and smoke. Ash and soot seeped into the seals of windows, doors, and any other spaces/cracks it could, since the winds got up to 100 mph. Everything in the house smelled smokey and if I wiped my hand on surfaces it would have gray soot on it. Restoration Masters restored our house to being even cleaner than it was before the fire. Over the course of 8 days, they completed a deep cleaning of the interior, HEPA vacuuming carpets, floors, and furniture, wiping surfaces, including walls and ceilings, and mopping. Air Scrubber HEPA fans were placed in every large room for multiple days to clean the air. The workers were very pleasant and took their time to be detailed and complete the work to my satisfaction. A separate crew removed all our old attic insulation and replaced it with new Rockwool insulation. They did an extremely thorough job of vacuuming out the old blown-in insulation of which there were 2 layers, including other junk that had been left up there like nails and pieces of wood. Then they neatly placed the new insulation between the beams, so that our attic now looks so much cleaner and neater. They did a detailed cleaning of the exterior, using a power sprayer or hose where appropriate, and wiped the wood siding and window sills clean. The window panes were cleaned on the inside and outside, as well as the screens. The rain gutters were also cleaned out. Lastly, they vacuumed out our garage and wiped things off. They went above and beyond to leave the exterior and interior of our house extra clean, so that we could move back in. Now the air inside smells fresh instead of smokey. Over an almost 2 year period I have worked closely with Restoration Masters. They were my first call after I had found that my mom's house had flooded. They are organized, responsive, professional, hard working, thoughtful, proactive, and diligent. It's hard to find remediation/rebuild services that can be trusted. I had a really tricky case and Victoria and Gary really took care of me. To make a long story short, due to my own negligence, I was without home insurance for about 2 months and on January of this year, the horizontal furnace caught fire, burned through a good portion of the roof and smoke damaged the other half of the attic. I called many restoration companies to clean up the attic but they only wanted to deal with insurance companies. There were a few others that dragged their feet after many back and forth phone calls because they weren't sure that they wanted to deal with a non-insurance company, but Victoria took care of me. She was very kind and empathetic of my situation, and very very responsive. She had Gary come over, and he was also very understanding of my situation and gave me assurances that they could handle my case. His crew worked pretty hard to clean. They took extreme care in removing smoke/soot/dirt/insulation/etc, using big HEPA filters and sealing the entire room while they encapsulated the smoke damaged areas. To my surprised, they also went beyond the what they needed to do, and cleaned other parts of the home as well, such as wiping down various bedroom walls that got smoked. Totally exceeded my expectations! I hope disasters like mine never happens on anyone in the future, but if they happen, I am 100% confident Victory and Gary can take care of you. We are writing this review with immense appreciation for Gary and his team. My 80 year old aunts home suffered extensive smoke damage from the Malibu Woolsey Fire in 2018. Over a year later, she was still unable to return to her home without getting sick from the smoke particles and mold. Found this company through Yelp reviews and it's only fair to leave a review after my experience. Staff was responsive and communicated well at first and completed mold abatement work at my property. They assured us they'll help fix a leak issue that has led to the mold problem. After spending thousands of dollars replacing pipelines and valves, plumbing problem is not fixed. Ended up going with a different company to get the issue fixed. I have not received any invoices for the work done...have requested them through phone 3-4 weeks ago. Even the handyman I hire to complete work at my house provides me with invoices within a couple of days. Gary was the 4th professional to come to our house to inspect our mold situation. We suspected mold in our main bedroom after pulling up vinyl wood and discovering a foul odor. Prior to Gary coming, we were perplexed as to where the smell/mold was coming from since there was no obvious leak or wetness. Obviously enough, Gary pointed out that the make shift closet bathroom that opened from our bedroom was the likely source of the mold.
