    Hmmmm pizza
    Timothy M.

Friendly staff, I have been eating their delicious pizza by the saline for years. Today I had the cheesesteak, hot and delicious. Also their fried zucchini, wonderful. Also recommend their cold cut sandwich. Also very tasty.

No idea why this gets recommended so much. The pizza was ok but very greasy. The location is not great and the inside wasn't clean.

"My daughter, S A M," Shaw signs back, "playing guitar," as he makes hand motions. "Being able to hear that." "You don't need to. Every spring, I go to the Boston Pops." "Why?" Frank asks disconsolately. "To watch...the feeling...the musicians...to see their joy. It's enough. To see that, to share it." Watching Ava recapture physically not just the performance in her retelling but the appreciation from both musicians and concert-goers alike, Frank starts to rediscover hope, even as he and Ava try to stay alive from the killers hunting them. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts from Eataliano Market & Deli, located at 5325 Phelps Luck Drive in Columbia, Maryland, prompt similarly unexpected overflows of culinary memories and joy. Upon our first visit of what we hope will be many, my wife and I placed the following takeout order: 1 order of Baked Meatballs 2 orders of Garlic Bread 1 ten-inch Empire Pie (I requested no ricotta or extra virgin olive oil) 1 order of Rigatoni Meatballs alla Vodka 1 order of Spaghetti with Homemade Meat Sauce 1 slice of Limoncello Mascarpone Cake 1 slice of Pistachio Cheesecake The garlic bread and pistachio cheesecake alone conjured spectacular reminisces. The pizza is the best we've had in Maryland, although my wife regretted my choice of no ricotta; and we would gladly reorder our pasta dishes if we didn't have many more entrees that we want to try.

Eataliano is tucked right…read moreinto the Phelps Luck neighborhood, not far from Route 108 (Old Annapolis Road) and Columbia Palace Plaza. I had heard there could be a bit of a wait, which isn't surprising since this well-established market and deli draws not only local residents but also people from nearby businesses. I happened to be about 15 minutes away, so I placed my order through their website. By the time I arrived, I must have missed the lunch rush--there was no line, and it took just a couple more minutes for everything to be wrapped, packaged, and ready to go. The market itself is intriguing and packed with all sorts of house-made specialties and popular Italian brands. There were also plenty of brands I had never heard of, giving the place the feel of a little Italian countryside market. I can only dream of traveling to Italy someday, so for now, I'll happily get a little taste of Italy here! Parking: As mentioned, parking is very limited. The street alongside the shop was also undergoing some sort of construction during my visit, so be prepared for some roadside limitations. There is a small, intimate dining area with room for only about four tables, but I loved seeing the white-tablecloth treatment. It added such a warm and welcoming touch to what is otherwise a very busy little establishment. The staff were busy but friendly. With the back-of-house operation appearing to be quite busy and working within tight quarters, it was impressive to see how well everyone seemed to coordinate and make the most of the available space. What We Tried Eataliano Crab Roll -- A specialty my daughter had told me about after seeing it on TikTok, and now I understand why! Generously filled with a tender, tasty blend of lump crab meat and fillers. Definitely shareable--but only with your favorite people! 10" Margherita Pie -- A NY-style thin crust topped with fresh ingredients, including tomato sauce, house-made mozzarella, and whole basil leaves. Simple, fresh, and delicious. French Fries -- Crispy and crunchy, just as ordered. Sometimes you just need a good order of fries! Greek Salad -- A generous portion loaded with fresh ingredients: feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, Kalamata olives, carrots, green peppers, and pepperoncini. Fresh, colorful, and plenty to share. Overall, Eataliano is exactly the kind of neighborhood gem I love discovering. Between the market, deli, prepared foods, and cozy little dining area, there's plenty to come back and explore. Definitely worth a visit--and I'm already wondering what I should try next!

Several months ago, a friend, ("L", if you happen to read this :-), treated a bunch of us to some super-fresh super-tasty ceviche Peruano, and I lost the info. Yesterday, hoping for a quiet lunch, we found Pipilinka Peruvian Charbroiled Chicken, and the moment we saw the authentic home-made foods on the menu, we knew this was the place! There's plenty of parking, and we walked across a patio with benches and tables shared among several restaurants, also used for occasional live music. Pipilinka is a cute colorful storefront towards the west end of the patio, with some specials on a sandwich board out front. Inside it's cozy and cute, brightly decorated with Peruvian art and crafts. It's family-run, and the owner helped several groups who arrived at the same time, 1:40pm on a Saturday (Nov 2025), sort out among the 25 or so indoor seats. Several could sit out front, on a nice day. The weather was a bit cool, and we loved sitting indoors near the little space-heater in the front area. The friendly owner helped us with several questions about the offerings, and we started with a $4.50 bean and cheese Salvadoran pupusa. The farina corn dough was hot, pan-fried to a slight sear on one side, filled with flavor, and came with a small cup of simple tangy fermented cabbage slaw, curtido. The side of clear golden-red tomato non-spicy flavorful salsa-rojo was perfect over the pupusa. They have two or three stand up coolers of canned and bottled beverages, many from Peru and Latin America, and also several that they make themselves. We had a bottled unsweetened lime sparkling-water, Topo Chico, and traditional home-made purple-corn drink, chicha morada, sweet, slightly-fruity, with a hint of clove or cinnamon. Both were very refreshing. As you might guess, the $12 broiled dark-meat quarter-chicken with two sides was our first choice, with Peruvian rice and a small fresh avocado salad. The chicken was just as we wanted it, falling-off-the-bone tender, moist, marinated and gently seasoned throughout, with crispy skin. It was nicely presented on a large pretty plate as a meal, much nicer than fast-food. The generous serving of Chaufa rice is a traditional Chinese-Peruvian recipe of wok-fried rice with shredded chicken, egg, and very-finely chopped veggies, such as bell peppers and scallions. The Inka salad is of fresh lettuce, thin-sliced ripe avocado and tomato and pink pickled onion slices. We chose a small cup of the tangy only-slightly-spicy yellow-color sauce, an Aji Pollero Amarillo, rather than the verde green sauce that the owner said would be spicier. Perfectly cooked and delicious. We also had $18 pan-fried Pescado a la Sarten, sweet white fish, lightly coated and fried, with some of the crunchy tangy picked onions. We added a side of yucca, lightly fried and lightly salted, and as tender as yucca can get :-), more textured than french fries. We used some of that slightly-spicy amarillo salsa as a very complimentary dip. We added steak fries, not an adventurous choice, and they were also lightly fried and lightly salted, and pillowy soft inside. That fish was especially nice, so tender and light and flavorful. We finished with a box of five daisy-shaped home-made Peruvian Alfajores pastries, a pair of thin delicate melt-in-your mouth shortbread-like cookies with a thin layer of purple Peruvian dulce-de-leche sweet jam between. Heavenly! The staff compete to heat the condensed milk just hot enough just long enough for the perfect pastry. The owner tells us that it's all about the timing. Today's recipe has our vote! Somehow, so satisfied from such a delicious meal, we managed to save a couple to take home :-) This is a lovely gentle cozy family-run place to enjoy delicious homemade traditional Peruvian and Salvadoran foods.

I can't speak to the cook as I reheated them the next day instead of eating that night. Since I was able to reheat and they didn't become dry, then I would de deuce that the wings were cooked perfectly. Chicken Tikka Pizza Sunday was the first time I got this, it was phenomenal. The cook that works on Sunday night gives a plentiful amount of cheese, toppings, the chicken was spice perfectly. It was gooey with a fabulous cheese pull. The Ingredients tasted fresh and the peppers were freshly cut and cooked, so they weren't mushy. I made the cardinal mistake and went back the next day (Monday). The manager was there and the quality was not the same. Skimpy toppings, barely enough cheese to cover the pizza, the peppers were mushy. Not at all like the first time. FYI: Tandoori wings were what I wanted, unfortunately they just sprinkle the seasoning on after cooking the wings. I skipped these. They do have an intriguing menu so I may go back. The pizza not being consistent, really was a huge bummer. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures on either occasion. Here's hoping your visit is better.

I've reviewed almost every other restaurant in my local Corridor Marketplace. I've had three 3-stars here: Burger King, Bob Evan's, & Catherine's, 3 mixed bag reviews. This will mark my only truly negative Yelp review here (except China Express got 2-stars mainly because I consider it to be subpar Chinese food). My girlfriend & I were pissed at Charleys yesterday. My girlfriend & I have visited multiple times & been a few times on my own. We used to think this was a good option. We even had eaten here 2 weeks earlier on Sunday, July 26. We had a 25% off deal we were going to use on Sunday, August 10. We had a noon movie and arrived at opening time of 11 AM. First of all when we walked in, it was extremely hot in there. I know they just opened, but they should've gotten the A/C going as soon as the 1st person walked in to prep. I mentioned it to the cashier, and she said it'll cool off, but not in a reassuring way. Before we put the 25% discount in, the subtotal was $17.77 for the large chicken cheesesteak sub combo we would've split, over $18 with the tax. I said the menu shows it's $15.77. She rudely said it's the tax. I said no it's the menu shows $15.77 pointing at the menu. I said you aren't honoring the price listed on the menu, and we are walking out. We had the 25% off, but it's the principle of them not honoring the listed price on the menu. So, we ended up going to Shake Shack by AMC Columbia before our movie as we had a free chicken sandwich deal there, which was delicious. So, it'll be a long time before I'll consider going back to Charleys here in Anne Arundel County. Maybe I'll consider at Columbia Mall before or after a movie in the future or other location, but I don't generally like going to places that are near my home as I like going to places that aren't near my home like Shake Shack or Bibibop at Columbia Mall. But this is a situation where I might actually more consider a different Charleys location as I'm boycotting my local location for the timebeing. They lost potentially $100+ in future business from me; perhaps after enough time has passed a year or two, I'll maybe consider giving my Maryland City location another chance. Further, Howard County got the tax dollar from me on Sunday over my own AA County as a result of Charleys rude cashier.
