Every employee we encountered tonight was the definition of hospitable. Everyone went above and beyond in terms of descriptions and helping us find the best beers for our tastes. We even got to meet the brewer and had great conversation with him. Attention sour beer lovers this is the place for you! Usually you're lucky if you can find one beer on tap between a sour, saison, gose or wild but they've got them all, and they are delicious! Wishing we could get here more often! read more

My 2 friends and I visited on a fairly quiet Wed. evening for our 1st ever visit to Watermark Brewing. Easy street parking out front, a food vendor was serving some BBQ (which smelled fantastic), and the yard full of furniture was about 1/2 full. Their infamous vending machine greets you as you walk in (full of crazy items to purchase - which we didn't). The bartender was friendly and quick to approach us, explained a few items and answered our questions quickly. The beer was good. We didn't get any food. I imagine that if we lived closer, we'd come back here again. There's a cool, laid-back vibe to the place but the crowd seems a bit homogeneous. read more

We've been a couple times now and are glad to see their beers are evolving a bit. Our first visit was shortly after they opened and the beers we sampled all seemed to have a similar note. The space is cool with garage doors opening to a large outdoor area - both kid and pet-friendly. Service has always been spot on and we usually just grab a seat at the bar. Our most recent visit, we did a 4-beer flight and were impressed with some of the new options we tried - especially the Lemon Zesty and The Claw. We ended up with a crowler of The Claw to go. They don't do food, but there is almost always a food truck or other option available. It's a great addition to the Stevensville area! read more

Started coming here about a month ago. Love thier beers and I aways find something new on tap. Wife and I like coming here on Sunday with our dog Bear for a beer or two. Last nite we decided to come on a Friday nite. The place was packed , we like sitting on the patio and playing a game or two of cornhole . They have a mix of different food trucks which is great . We check thier facebook page to see our favorites . This place has put Stevensville back on the map. Not as crazy as Saint Joe or small town feel which is fine with me. I am here a few days a week. Thursdays they have group cycle rides and Wednesday a running group. Usually has food trucks Tuesday thru Sunday and live bands on some weekends. Pet friendly. We stopped in here on the way back to Grand Rapids from Chicago on a Sunday evening. It was dark out already and pulled into the little town Watermark is nestled in. There were beautiful lights shining from within, welcoming us to walk through its doors. I was over the moon when I walk in to be greeted by a dog! Yes, they are dog-friendly and it melted my heart! It is hard to come by places where I live that allow dogs to attend. Instantly, right there I knew I was going to love the place! Getting over the fact of staring at all the dogs hanging about, the place looks like an old barn turned into a modern brewery. There is a lot of open space, a huge enclosed patio and reclaimed wood accented with shiny metal all around. There isn't any food but the food truck out front brings in a bunch of menus to put on the front counter for you to take a look at and order from. The guy that night hardly speaks any English and to me, that is when you know you are going to get a delicious authentic cuisine. I am not sure how often (or at all) if the food trucks rotate or what the situation is with that). I tried a few different beers and thought they were all pretty well done! I was definitely impressed, as there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. I wish I lived closer but will definitely be making the stop here more often on my way through the area! read more

We went to this new microbrewery in Stevensville Michigan mid afternoon on a Saturday. It is a welcome addition to the Stevensville Mainstreet area. In many small towns, businesses have moved out to the strips near the highway where the big supermarket chains are. So, having a business that draws people to the town center, helps everybody access the tourists walking around the shopping district. The layout - The owners of Watermark have thought things through. There is a wonderful outdoor seating area (under partial roof cover) where customers can stand or sit at shared tables. They also have patio furniture farther out under the sun. Bean bag toss games are set up as well, and there is plenty of room to move around. Be forewarned... there is no food service. Not sure if this will change in the future. But, there was a hot dog food truck, which seemed to help people interested in a meal. If you look on their website, listed under "Events" is the Food Truck schedule for the current month. You are also allowed to bring your own food in. The Beer - many microbreweries in Berrien county do one thing really well - i.e. Serve fruited or sour beers or heavy hop based/IPA or stout beers. Watermark does a mixture of both. This is appealing as we have two family members that love nothing but sour beers. We always have to find a brewery that can accommodate their taste. My wife got the Ruckus Red Ale which was thick, malty and good...as she said, "I need a hot Cheeseburger to really enjoy this!" I had been on the beach earlier in the day and wanted something a little lighter since I felt a bit dehydrated. I got the Lemon Pale Ale which was very mellow and just what I needed for a refreshing beer. The only reason they do not get a 5 star review is because of their ordering system. They had four men working behind the bar. Two worked at taking orders and pouring beers. One worked off and on filling beers, stopping occasionally to chat with two customers on the other end of the bar. The fourth guy did nothing but wipe the bar top (where there were no customers) and chat up two young women and a guy. Watermark, please take note....! If you have 16 people standing in line on a temperate summer day looking to buy your product, ALL four people should be working those taps to get customers processed thru with a drink in their hands. The signal you send off is a bit arrogant. It is as if you are saying, "we have great beer, and you can wait on our timeframe to get it." Remember, there are 12 other breweries in Berrien county that want a shot at our business. You ought to be driven to make the experience great and efficient at every turn! You beer Doctors may think we come for the beer....but we come for the whole experience. Great service will separate you, from everyone else. My wife and I travel to SW Michigan about once a month now, and places like Watermark are a big part of the reason why. Despite the fact that their usually crowded, there is always a laid back vibe that I really dig - maybe it's the Sublime and Bob Marley playing the background. I always seem to find a cozy place to sit outside on warm summer days. They have an excellent variety of beers, and the overall beer quality has continually improved over the years. My current favorites are the Murky Depths IPA and Ghostmeal Session IPA. I found it interesting that some folks gave bad reviews based on the guest food trucks - which are totally separate businesses. That's like giving a concert venue a bad review because a singer didn't perform well. Based on the atmosphere, the quality of the beer, and overall level of service - Watermark is probably my favorite brewery in SW Michigan at the moment. read more

Multiple Poodle Noodles (dogs) around, so a good time for them. Good time for people too! Family friendly (as it's Michigan- laws are different than Indiana.) Good beer- I like that they have a coder in tap as I'm no a hop lover. My friend that is a hop lover, really liked their multiple IPAs on tap. My favorite was a matcha colas with a Transient and another brewery, but I'll take anything that has a Transient stamp on it. There is a food truck with some amazing smellin brisket right out front, so easy to get eats if you need them. Friend is buying something now so seperate review of the meat truck might follow. THIS PLACE IS THE BEES KNEES!!! Yes, I put that in caps because I'm SO excited! We had THE best time here today! They obviously put a crazy amount of thought into this place, the decor is gorgeous-so many different concepts and everything fits together flawlessly. The wood?!?!?! omg - the wood, STUNNING! We loved the open garage doors, the lights hung low, a zillion corn hole games, xboxto play, and oversized jenga.....do i need to go on? Grab your friends/family right now and go hang out at this place-we spent hours chilling at the long picnic tables. Beers: They have a good variety and are always adding new things. We loved "the claw" the most - and "ugly face" as well. Decent prices too. The beer to go? They have "crowlers" cause they have a machine that cans beers in front of you, like whatt?!?!?! That process was awesome and one I've never seen at a brewery (and I go to a lot) ha. We were impressed. They don't have food (yet) but you can bring your own, order in, or they often have food trucks! Bottom Line: Great beer, great atmosphere, great people. You won't be disappointed! Finally, Stevensville has a brewery and great place to hang out, all in one ! Watermark is laid back yet fully functional as a beer pub. It has a seedless indoor/outdoor seating layout during good weather with overhead doors that can enclose the inside when needed. The front yard has room for bean bag toss and other games and is dog friendly. The inside has music and TVs like a sports bar. Friendly staff and great beer. What's not to like. Missing a star because it's hard to get a beer when it's busy and table service is spotty. Not the staffers fault. Can't wait for the next batch!! read more

This brewery has one of my favorite raspberry sour beers of all time! However, this review is COVID specific. They were set up in a way that supported social distancing, with clear signage about their protocols. What was frustrating was the staff's lack enforcement. They had a rule posted about unaccompanied children, yet there were unmasked children running to and fro inside their main building for the entire duration of our visit. The parents did nothing to keep them in check and the staff said nothing to the parents. We'll be back for the beers, but not until COVID is a memory. read more

Beer is good, came by last night for Sushi night. Stood in line for 40 minutes and had not even put an order in. One person making sushi for a packed place was not smart. Maybe they didn't know how popular it was going to be, but very poor planning. Would have been nice to put an order in then sit and have a couple of beers. Watermark is a great brewery. They have a great beer selection, interesting and unique décor, and a vending machine with odd prizes. We sat indoors but would be willing to sit outdoors as well. We had the Raspberry Urchin (Sour) and the Stone Fruit Sangria Slushee. The sour gave a good pucker and tasted amazing. The slushy was fruity and I loved the selection they offered and ended up getting one of their cups. I would definitely come here after work or for a social gathering with friends. They have a great list of fruited sours. They also offer beer slushies which are great on a hot day. We typically like IPA's, sours and barrel-aged and they make great quality beers in all those categories. Bert's Breakfast Stout is just as good if not better than CBS. They don't offer flights but you can always have a taste to help you decide. The service is amazing! read more

Only complaint was lack of flights, I would have like to have an opportunity to try larger tastes before making a decision. So the beer has improved significantly. The selection can sometimes run low, especially since they mostly do seasonals, but there is enough variety to find something each person likes. The cider is especially good, and not extremely sweet. Food is still hit or miss. The Arepa and BBQ trucks are both good, and well priced for the amount of food. The ramen is awful from Village Nosh - tiny bowls, zero broth flavor, very few add ins and quite expensive. Rickys is fine, but I could just walk 20 feet of I wanted to eat their bar food. read more

A great local brewery and bar. Excellent beer, and when I was there they had 12 different beers of different styles on tap. They have an open air inside for the nice weather seasons, and the large doors can be dropped for cold days, I suppose. (It was 78 degrees when we visited.) There's an extensive outdoor set-up that has a beer garden effect. Edison-style lights strung above the open space, many umbrella tables for 4, circles of 8-10 Adirondack chairs with side tables. Looks like food is on offer, though I didn't check that out. There's a large city parking lot just a half block away with free parking. I'm glad I yielded to impulse and stopped in with my brother for a glass. I was just visiting family in the area when I came across this place. But this place kind of makes me wish I was a local! read more

I really wanted to like this place because it is close to home. The indoor/outdoor space is great in the summer and fall. If you are craft beer fan this is not your place! Some of the dark beers are tolerable but the pales and IPA's are very yeasty and cloudy. The IPA's are so thick with yeast they look as bad as they taste.
