    10 x.

So today me and my fiance came here.We walked in and had a bad feeling. It was very dirty,There was barley any food and the plates werent even clean We also found what seemed like mold in one of the pies. And dont get me started with the rolls they were greased with TOO MUCH Butter and they were soggy. we asked the Waiters and Cookers why this was and they got very defensive and disrespectful.I didn't deserve that If u wanna be disappointed this is the place too go.

Visited 30 April 2023 We arrived late afternoon (after 4 pm). It was a bit packed and busy when we arrived, but then the crowd started to dissip shortly after. Although it was packed, it was not overly noisy. I think the price was reasonable and they even offer discounts for seniors and military. We got a table back near the dessert area, and Billy was the server assigned to that area. He was fairly attentive and replenished our drinks when we ran out and cleared the table of plates we were done using. I had a medium steak, and it was good, as were the fried Okra. They were hot and fresh, seemingly fresh out of the fryer. The fried chicken was also good. Hot and crispy. The Brussel sprouts were less desirable. They were soggy and overcooked. The butter rolls looked good, but I didn't eat any. The rest of the table enjoyed them. For dessert, I first tried the ice cream but didn't enjoy it. It seems that it was dairy free, but even worse, it was a bit liquidy. I also tried the cinnamon roll. The flavor was good, but since it was sitting over the heat, it got rock hard and crunchy. I couldn't eat it. Someone in my party doesn't eat pork, and it seems like a few of the items had pork: greens, green beans, and possibly the rice. It was hard to tell since some didn't have labels. We had to ask our server, Billy, who asked his manager. I think it would be beneficial to have labels with ingredients where practical. This would be especially helpful for those with allergies. I went for what I wanted and didn't realize I had missed a whole area. It wasn't until I went to the bathroom prior to leaving did I see the other area. Speaking of the bathroom, try to avoid it. It was nasty, and the floor was wet and sticky. I turned around expeditiously and waited until I arrived at my next destination. Although, there was a cleaner in there while I was there. Overall, it's not a bad experience, and I will likely go again.

    Turkey dinner

We ordered a turkey dinner for Christmas. The turkey was cooked well and all the sides were delicious! I will definitely order holiday meals from them again!

My family and I have been coming here for years and have never had an issue with service until today. We ran into Chris, the owner, of this establishment. Not only was he rude to the customers but he was yelling at his kitchen staff in front of everyone. I'm sorry but if you feel the need to be mean and call out your staff, do it in private, in your office or the kitchen- NOT IN THE DINNING HALL! I was so embarrassed for his employees.

I give 4 stars. There was no wait, low prices, huge selection. Mid food lol. Not terrible but typical cafeteria style tastes. I would go back if I didn't know what to eat because buffets are good for that.

This is the second time I went to golden corral. My first visit was in Tampa 8 yrs ago. This location was very modern, very clean, good service. Great variety of foods and plenty of big and round customers who don't balance food with exercise. I think the next closest one is in Ft Myers. People call it trough food. I didn't think so. There is good value if you eat 2 or more plates. I had a salad and 1 plate of food plus a slice of pizza. And I was on the edge of being over stuffed. The service was great drinks were replaced often with a smile. I was only here two weeks now I wish we had one nearby. The natural potato chips were a little over seasoned for my taste. The fish seemed a little too dry. Really wanted to try the soup, bread and deserts but ran out of space. Oh well next time.

This place is such a hidden gem. Tucked away off the beaten path, it has that cozy, "you almost…read moredon't want to tell anyone about it" kind of charm. The space is definitely on the smaller side, which adds to the intimate feel, but I can only imagine it gets pretty tight during peak hours--especially since they don't take reservations. That said, everything else more than makes up for it. The service was genuinely excellent--attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. And the food? Absolutely worth it. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. If you're thinking about going, I'd definitely recommend timing your visit to avoid the rush. It's a small spot, but one that delivers a big experience.

The menu is extensive so it took a minute for us to order. Everyone had water to drink. Our server brought us some fresh yeast rolls that were hot and tasty. We had the fried green tomatoes appetizer for the table. They were excellent served with sour cream and horseradish and ranch that we had to ask for additionally. Everyone ordered something different. Orders included: 1. Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, and cole slaw. I only tried their cole slaw which leans more to a vinegar base and I prefer a sweeter slaw. There were 4 pieces of chicken. 2. Meatloaf with mashed potato and gravy and cornbread. Cornbread was a bit dry, meatloaf was ok. 3. Mushroom and bacon smothered chicken, onion rings and cornbread. Person said the chicken was a bit dry, the mushrooms and bacon saved the dish. Onion rings were good, crispy and hot. 4. Chicken and dumplings with cornbread. Folks that tasted them said they make better at home, nothing special. 5. Rueben sandwich with corn pudding. Sandwich was just ok. Bread was too thick for my taste, beef was tender. Corn pudding was excellent, hot, creamy. Service was good, resturant quaint, street parking. The train rolling by, blowing the whistle while we ate was a nice touch, although it rattled the building. After we ate, got to go containers and paid we shopped at the adjacent and across the street shops to the resturant. That was fun. After shopping we headed back to the restaurant for coffee and dessert. Again each of us had a different dessert item which included: coconut cream pie, butterscotch pie, derby pie, chocolate sundae cake and the house specially, butter cream pie. All were pretty good. We all liked the house speciality pie, it was super sweet, creamy with a good crust. Coconut pie was a favorite as was the chocolate sundae cake. The derby pie was way too chocolatey for most of us. It is a cute little little resturant with a homey feel that will take you back in time. One of those places where you should try but then say, did that, don't necessarily need to revisit.

Four of us had an excellent experience for our dinner in Louisville, and besides the food, a lot of that experience was due to our server, Julie. She was great, super friendly and professional, and expertly answered a ton of Bourbon-related questions from my Bourbon loving friend. My wife and I dove into the Southern theme and had a Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16), Southern Colada ($16), Fried Green Tomatoes ($10), and a Southern Gumbo ($10) for dinner. I ordered the Fried Gren Tomatoes to share with the table, and they were wonderful - "Five full moon green tomatoes fried in cornmeal and panko, topped with fresh chives and served with Doc's Remoulade". They were light as a feather, most definitely non-greasy and had a great crunch from the panko and cornmeal. My Southern Gumbo (A hearty stew filled with andouille sausage, chicken and vegetables in savory Cajun broth served over rice. Served with cornbread) was excellent. Great flavor, great spice, plenty of sausage and chicken, and excellent accompaniments in the rice and cornbread. And how could I not mention my Southern Colada, with Michter's US*1 Sour Mash, Pineapple Juice & Coconut. It was quite a bit stronger than any Colada I ever had, but I guess that can be expected when you use an 86-proof small batch Kentucky whiskey in your Colada. Of course, I loved it. This was our second visit to Doc Crow. We were there a few days ago as the first stop on our Louisville food tour and enjoyed a delicious bowl of shrimp and grits. The Doc sure treated us well. PRO TIP Be sure to check out the Doc's jaw dropping collection of bourbon bottles that seem to dominate the various rooms wherever you look.

The restaurant includes a long row of bar seating that extends to the other end of the restaurant, so there was no problem for me to find a seat on a busy day. I ordered the Mac n cheese and braised greens, and the Mac n cheese was really good and creamy. The braised greens were just okay, it wasn't the best greens I've had and it could use extra flavor. I don't know if this is a thing they do at Doc Crow's, but in my opinion the bartender excessively kept asking me what I wanted even while I was still looking at the menu. This definitely frustrated me since it was clear that I wasn't ready yet. I think she should have done a better job reading my cues to figure out when I am ready to order.

Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.
