There are not enough good things I can say about Waters and just how grateful I am for them as a company but also their staff. We bought our house in 2020 and knew nothing about septic systems or what it meant to live on septic. Waters conducted our independent septic inspection and then also cleaned it out. They were great then and I had hoped we wouldn't see them again for another 5-7 years. Fast forward to today (2023), we began a permit process with Washoe County to put a shop on our property. When you're on septic you're required to go through the health department for verification of your septic system and ensure there's enough space on the property for repairs, etc. We opted to work with Waters through this process to get us through our health department nightmare. Dan Martin was our point of contact and let me tell you... this guy is AWESOME. He helped us navigate through what felt like a nightmare, coordinated with the health department directly, and was so so patient with me, my husband, and all the nuances we had to go through to document our septic system and seepage pit. I am beyond grateful for people like him who are professional, relatable, trustworthy, honest, and hard working. He never got annoyed with us and was so quick to support in whatever next step we needed to do for the health department. If you need septic support in any capacity, Waters should be your go-to. We decided to add a second leach field last year! Our property is very large and my husband was concerned that a single leach field may fail early without the addition. Waters installed the initial field so we returned to them, as the initial service was perfect. We were really pleased to work with Matt and Dan again. They were both so helpful and we knew the service would be excellent. Its kinda weird to leave a review for a septic pumping service but these guys were so helpful and friendly i just have to. The staff at Waters took my call late at night and helped walk us through a fix for what could have been a septic emergency. In doing so they saved us hundreds of dollars and a whole lot of misfortune. Then we scheduled an appointment and they called to make sure it was OK to show up early. Used one of those nationwide 'rooter' companies that said they could deal with septics. That ended up being a mistake. I reached out to Waters Septic on a Sunday, with the hopes that I would hear from them Monday morning. As it wasn't an urgent issue, but one that had the potential to escalate. A very short time passed before Justin contacted me. I explained my issue, Justin had some follow-up questions. He quoted me more than fair price and told me that there was availability to have somebody out in short time. We had the pleasure of meeting Matt, who was amazing. He took the time to explain to us all about our system, he went extra steps to ensure that everything was in working order. Upon leaving everything was clean. Their phone staff gave us great advice on what we needed (and didn't need) and why. Their truck showed up on time. We recently used Waters at the recommendation of a neighbor and I am glad we did. It's never nice to wake up to a backing up septic system. Even less so in the middle of winter. They were able to get someone out within 2 hours of my call and the office was kind enough to offer a veterans discount without me asking which I appreciate. The service personnel and office staff were all friendly and patient with my many questions. Who knew you aren't supposed to use a garbage disposal and bleach with a septic tank? I had no clue! First things first - don't call them if you're looking for cheap. They aren't. They are reasonable, but by no means cheap. That said - they were VERY helpful in working with me to identify the problems, and repair my septic system. They were very prompt - and showed up each time - on time. They returned all calls - even my q&a calls a couple months ago by a technical staff member that was able to answer all questions honestly. I'm glad I went with the recommendation to call them. They were accurate - all prices quotes were on target - an unknown presented a slight overage - but it was handled. They worked with my management company to ensure they were in the loop, and handled the scheduling with my tenant and made sure everyone knew who to call and what was going on. They apparently did the work correctly. I've checked in with my tenant and management company. Everyone is satisfied with the work so far. They did the work on time - and met their commitments on the job to get it done. If I had to complain, I'd say it was price - but I'm not going to. I got what I paid for - which is a professional service that listened, met my expectations and delivered - even though it took a bit of extra time and effort on their part. - Quick Review - Set appointment over the phone, the Tech (Christian) showed up on time, made sure not to park heavy pumping truck on paver driveway, accessed the septic tank lids (which we dug to uncover and prep for his arrival) and within 45 minutes or so the job was completed. No issues, no problems. The Tech replaced the lids and removed the truck hoses and tools, reconnected the garden hose (he used his own hose when servicing the septic tank) and off he went. Job completed as contracted by a Tech who obviously knew what he was doing, professional and friendly. - In the Covid-19 environment, the Tech keep an appropriate "social distance" and a detailed invoice and credit card receipt was sent to us via email by the company. - Will definitely use this service again and would recommend them as well compared to whom we have used in the past. Do Not let these guys bill you through Escrow. They will tack on bullshit charges and charge you 2 times as much as the competition for the exact same procedures. By the time you find out it's too late, works already done because they just do whatever without prior authorization. Had these guys do some work for us when selling our house. Called local competition after receiving bill and these guys our about 2 times as much money. Also making up bogus charges as well. Talked to the owner Mr. Waters and he told me too bad, he can't control what his competition charges and if I didn't pay my bill ASAP he was going to send me straight to collections. Guy should maybe take some courses on customer service. Who charges 2 times as much as direct competition down the street and gets away with it? Very disappointed. The staff is awesome!! They have after hours service. Jeff is very knowledgeable, and if you can stand it (the smell, eeewww), he will give you a tutorial on septic maintenance. Our septic tank backed up and I called Waters on a Saturday morning. They offered to come out then but Jim offered me directions over the phone on how we could fix it ourselves. His advice worked. Since we were happy with their free advice we went ahead and scheduled a septic flush through them. They were friendly, they got the work done (I'm no septic guru though), and they checked back with us to make sure we were satisfied. If I could select ZERO stars, I would. This company was selected in escrow (I did not select them) and I found out later how rude and unprofessional they are. I received a random call demanding payment which is fine but I had NO idea what they were talking about. The calls escalated to direct threats while I was at work. I never received an invoice directly. These men are rude and they are bullies. There is this little thing called customer service. Again let me reiterate, I had NO idea about their bill and instead of offering me an invoice, they just harassed me. I will NEVER recommend them or come anywhere close to their company again. UPDATE: Well let's set the record straight, shall we? First of all, I signed paperwork in January while my home was in an active escrow. The escrow did not fall out until May 1, 2017. So your description of the bill being owed since January is false. You were holding this during escrow, and The escrow did not fall out until May 1. You also stated you were speaking with an agent by the name of Stephanie. That is not my agent, but you never asked me for any clarification, you just called with threats and demands. And to say that you offered in anyway is an out and out lie. You never offered anything. You called me demanding $900. I asked what for, you said I owe the money and I needed to pay immediately. You threatened me with collections. You never offered to provide me with an invoice or even remotely said anything about removing late charges. You and your company do not provide customer service. This all came about because you did not take the time to assist with this process, you threatened for payment and were rude when we had conversations. I would never knowingly do business with your company based solely on that principal. read more

So...we had them pump our septic which to our knowledge went well. Unfortunately, the driver of the truck hit our gate and caused damage that needed repair. He was unaware of the fact he hit the fence, I guess it is difficult to feel in such a big truck. When we mentioned it to him he contacted his boss and we all took pictures of the damage. The company called the next day and the ball was in motion to fix our gate. They sent a repair man that works for their company and it was fixed and fixed well. I understand that accidents happen but I appreciate the fact they took full responsibility and fixed the problem quickly and professionally. I will use this company in the future! read more

Cost was very reasonable considering extra time involved. Team was courteous and professional. I called Waters Truck Service and at 9:45 pm on Christmas Eve and by 10pm Jeff had called me back and after talking to me he asked if I could open my tank lid and face time with him all this on Christmas Eve. He walked us through a fix that will get us through Christmas and the weekend for them to come out Monday to pump the tank and this was all at no charge he took an hour of his time on Christmas Eve to do this. I will just say this; I wish your company would have come up first on the Google search because the other 2 companies that did, did not live up to their site. Honest business with great customer service. I didn't have much experience with septic tank pumping before moving to Reno. I chatted up a Waters driver who was pumping a neighbor's tank and he took time to explain to me the basics and said pumping every 4-5 years was often a good call for a family. We scheduled a pumping and the scheduler looked up my home in their records to help me locate the lids in our backyard. He also called back to let me know that if there was excessive solids in the tank there would be an additional charge. When the truck arrived the driver was very friendly took extra time to explain what he was doing. He noted some deterioration around the outlet baffle and suggested a inexpensive fix. He thought the baffle could easily make it another 4 years however since it sounded like an easy fix I thought we should just go ahead an do it. After the pump driver left I called the main office at 330pm on a friday to schedule the work. The person I talked to said as long as it was all dug up he could stop on his way home and fix it. He collected the items he needed and was at my home by 5 and it was fixed by 530. A big thank you to the whole Waters team! read more
