Had a crappy meal down the street and wanted to erase the memory so when we saw Watershed we jumped at the chance to sit in the attractive patio area and have beer. The staff was amazing, the music was fine and though we didn't eat we could clearly see that the tables around us were enjoying their pizza and pizza folds. The place is easily accessible from Northgate station and they offer a deal to get regal cinema discount too! Love this find. We are staying at a nearby hotel which initially seemed like good food was not happening during our stay. Luckily, only two blocks away is the pub. The food look so good but we wanted only a salad. We ordered the quinoa salad (not usually our thing). But turned out to be so yummy. Fresh baby spinach, warm quinoa and a dressing 'to die for'. Watershed is an interesting place with one of the largest tap list I've seen in a while. Got the Optimist grind pie fold per the recommendation of the waitress and cloudburst IPA. The pie fold while accurate to its description still caught me off guard. It really is a large slice of pizza that has been folded onto itself and presented as a panini/sandwich of some sort. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either - very middle of the road. I would probably not ever get it again because I don't know about you, warmed up soggy salad greens that has been steaming between two pieces of dough isn't one of my favorite things to consume. I liked the service and their outdoor patio area which is extremely difficult to find in this part of town. If you're looking for an outdoor place with food that you can have some beverages with company, this is probably your best bet in the area! read more

Food wasn't good and neither was the service. Despite 4 different servers taking our order, bringing our food, clearing our plates, and bringing the check, none of them checked on us a single time. Our carafe of water and our soft drinks were empty for ages. We had to ask a server to bring more water. An item was missing from my friend's meal and never brought. We had to ask for the check. The restaurant wasn't busy, and since there were 4 servers "servicing" our table, the ubiquitous "we're short-staffed" excuse doesn't apply here. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Tucked away under some apartments and to the east of the light rail is this neighborhood gem. We had both the Parma pizza and the Quinoa salad. Both were really fresh, prepared well, and tasty. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and chill. When arriving, I asked about sitting in the bar and was told by the hostess to sit "anywhere in the bar section" but was promptly interrupted by a different employee when we tried to sit at a tall table and told we could only sit at the bar stools at the bar (it was not crowded). I told him the hostess said differently but he insisted we only sit at the bar. Ok.... so we sat at the bar and over the course of the next hour and a half watched several groups come in and sit at the forbidden tables without any interference, so I have no idea what was going on there, but whatever. Stopped by and got a cozy san marzano tomato soup and a toasted turkey, pear sandwich - both were delicious and perfect for a winter's day. Husband also liked his grilled cheese. They're a dog-friendly bar and we were able to sit on the decently sized outside patio with our dog. They put on gas heaters and gave a water bowl to our dog. Will return! read more

Heading into Seattle with my wife and sister in-law and we were looking for a brunch and pleasantly came across this place. My wife had the basic breakfast which was all executed nicely and she got hers with a fresh fruit as one of the sides and she loved it. Sister in-law had the pear and butternut squash frittata with stout pancakes as a side. She let me try some of both. The pear and butternut go together much better than expected and the stout pancakes were lighter than others I have tried. I had a personal sized Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza. It was good but nothing particularly special but I wanted something familiar that morning. Would go back to try something else on the menu. There was an aged eggnog cocktail on the menu and I had to try that because I have been making it myself for years. Am going to name drop here, I have been making Alton Brown's aged eggnog and theirs is a little lighter and my wife liked that. May have to tweak my recipe accordingly. I've been to Watershed many times and their grill cheese is always spot on even with their signature soup. That is always what we have ordered and we always sat at the bar with decent service. Tonight I brought friends from out of town after the Mariners game getting off the light rail and thought it was a great spot. It wasn't too busy so we got seated inside and It took us about 10 minutes which was fine. It literally took 40 minutes to get 3 sandwiches with 3 cups of soup. I was thinking does it take that long to grill up three sandwiches. They brought out all the meals and one was a completely different sandwich that we did not order so we had to wait another 30 for the correct one. They didn't even comp it and by the time they brought out the final sandwich everyone else was finished eating their meal. We asked for a box to go for the last meal since it took so long and asked for a side of soup to go. They probably should've comped that as well since it took so long to get that last sandwich but they decided to charge $7 for the side of soup. It was all a bad deal. The food was good but the service took too long. Seattle in general is just so expensive and when you get horrible service with a horrible wait time it's just a disappointment. I've been to Watershed a couple of times with different friends and have had different experiences. If someone really wanted to come here, and I wanted pizza, then I might agree, but I'm not choosing Watershed myself, and if I never came back, that would be just fine. The first time, I was really put off by the hostesses. The first thing they asked was if we were going to a movie. When I replied with a yes, I got a big eyeroll, a large, audible sigh, and then a statement that they would prefer to not seat people going to the movies because they were too busy and it would be better to go to the movies first. Interesting, since they had no idea what time our movie was to start or how many people were in the party. My friend was at the bar getting a beer, so after I informed the hostess the 2 of us would wait for a table, I let her know the wait was 45 minutes. The ironic point was when I turned and saw a Watershed poster advertising how much they enjoy having people dine here that are also going to the movie theatre nearby. After she got her beer, we went outside to wait for the table as they have patio seating. We were standing, not taking anyone's seat. A hostess rushed after us like we'd robbed the place, asking if we were going to still need a table or not then told my friend she couldn't take the glass. No shit Sherlock. My friend told her we just stepped outside because the 2'x3' bench inside was occupied by the 3 people that can fit on it and there was nowhere to stand inside to wait for a table. At that, I suggested we leave and go elsewhere. Had a Meat Head pizza here, which was good, although the crust was on the thin/dull side for me. I'm a bread nazi and really picky about it. Not enough cheese. Another time, had what they call a pie fold which is their thin pizza folded over with a side salad. Would not have the pie fold again. Too much fold, not enough pie. Also not a fan of the lil peppers they put on there. I'm a huge fan of a soft pretzel. There's is meh at $5.50. Too much for meh. Tried the cookie dough boat, which is suppose to be like a gooey cookie dough with ice cream on top. The cookie dough was burnt, thin and tasteless. The ice cream was OK. The waitstaff was all right. The last waiter I had here was good about checking on us. A lot of the seating is bar stools, and they will tell you that there's a long wait when tables are empty. Updated my review. I came later in the evening than my lunchtime experience. I deliberately sat in the inside bar area to avoid my former experience. My previous waitress I spotted as I walked in. She was texting on her phone right under the crossways to the kitchen. As I had her name mislabeled from before I inquired and was told her name was Sarah. Blue hair, nose ring. My server had initials on the bill. She was sweet and intuitive. I really enjoyed the dined lighting and atmosphere of the evening mood. Nice muted lighting and a great mural by Henry. In perusing the menu, you really have to be a fan of cheese to order food here. I had the chicken Marsala polenta . Really good and nice take on the chicken. Also got a Pineapple Upside Down Drank . Really delicious mix of tastes. As I am sitting waiting for my order, I observe the host and a co-owner if I am guessing, take real pride in making sure restaurant mechanics run smoothly. They do whatever it takes, hustling to provide great service. Much more impressed by my evening experience. Pro tip, sit in the inside part of the bar, rather than the perimeter. Drinks are great. I just left a super positive review a few months ago and we've been going here often and we love their pizza and salads. Just we noticed this particular server...she was wearing crop tank top. Hair is messy ponytail. It's okay it's her style or she wants to show her tattoos or whatever. She brought 3 dishes by herself in her arms, and our salad bowl was touching her armpit. It just felt disgusting and nasty. The table was sticky and we all lost appetite. A lady at the front desk was keep picking her lip. Service is great, food is really bad. We took my cousin, who is from out of town, here for brunch. They people are really sweet and accommodating. But the food definitely has something left to be desired. Almost all of my party did not like their food. First, they took FOREVER to get the food to us. I ordered eggs benny, and the eggs were legit hard boiled eggs. I asked for new eggs, and, again, the food took forever so my ham and beer bread were cold by the time my new eggs came.
