This has been our SPOT! We moved to the north end about a year ago and we are here basically every week either for Tuesday trivia or before a movie. (Pro tip: grab a beer or food before your flick and buy discounted tickets from the bar). Staff is all incredibly nice and the owners are super cool. Since this place opened a few month's ago it has become my fiance's and I favorite place to be. We love walking here after a long day and splitting a pitcher and a pizza. Nice atmosphere and good beer but the service was poor and the food was nothing to write home about. Went w/ my cousin after we saw Gone Girl (crazy movie!) and, after being seated by the hostess, we were ignored for the better part of a half hour. Finally flagged down a waiter & asked if he was our server - "nope!" was his response, but he was happy to take our drink order anyway, which was nice of him. Found the menu a bit perplexing -- Roast Beef sandwich listed as a small plate? No idea what a pie fold is -- I think it's a sandwich or a grinder? We ordered bruschetta, which I've always thought came on toasted bread. The bread wasn't toasted and was a bit stale actually. The chopped tomato topping was fine if a bit soggy. Certainly not good or memorable, though. Also, when the bruschetta arrived we didn't have silverware, napkins, separate plates. Had to flag somebody else down. We also ordered the Pao de Queijo, which are "Brazilian cheese balls." We mostly ordered them because they sounded weird and we were curious. Certainly wouldn't recommend them. More discs of bread than balls, they were bland and boring. If they got their act together in terms of service and upped the food quality, it'd be a great place to go after a movie or shopping. But the enjoyment we got was mostly from laughing about how confused we were by our bizarre experience. read more

This is a review of the Watershed at Starfire in Tukwila.... On a Saturday afternoon they were severely understaffed. With a captive audience (only restaurant on site) they were doing a fairly brisk business with the soccer families. Unfortunately,the line was long with one guy working the register and a guy making the pizza. First time to try their pie, and only have one word for it. Bland. A Digiornio from the freezer section has more flavor. Don't waste your money. read more

My first time here was very disappointing. Service was weird. Hard to explain but just awkward and not good. The coffee was bad. The one person in the kitchen is not enough to actually put food out in a timely fashion. It took forever for our food and no server ever came by to check on us or to say the food would be out soon. It is too busy for them. The restaurant is way too big for the tiny kitchen and what seems to be the one person working in the kitchen. We waited about 50 minutes for the food and it was not worth the wait. We had the pizza and then we had stomach aches the rest of the day. read more

Service was in fact a little slow when we were there, but our server had his hands full trying to balance indoor and outdoor seatings and we honestly didn't lack for anything. Standouts included the tomato soup (next time I'm going to take mine to another table, because it smelled so incredible I suddenly had to fend off all the other spoons nearby -- yes, I go out to eat with vultures) and the grilled cheese, which DAMN. Good selection of beer. Location is quite hard to find if you don't know your way around Thornton place. Food is just Ok. The pretzel was disappointingly small. The decor is pretty cool. I've never acquired a taste for beer, so I don't indulge in the brews. However, I do love the root beer on tap. Beers aside, the pizza is outstanding. Second time coming here tonight. The bar/beer selection is amazing! The food is ehh. First time I ordered a fold over pie sandwich. It was good but way too much bread for the small amount of filling inside. This time around I got the bacon Mac and cheese. I thought the peppers were sweet, but instead they were a little too spicy and took away from the actual point of the dish. Service was decent both times. No issues there. Stopped by here a few months ago for a quick lunch. We both got cocktails. They were not good. We tried the Margarita Bites. They weren't really bites but a whole pizza. I got the Award Winning Half Grilled Cheese. It was not good. Didn't taste like anything and hardly had any cheese on it. I really wanted pizza so ordered from Watershed since I live in the apartments right there but I should've gotten Papa Johns. When spinach costs an extra $2 I expect it to be on the pizza not in a box on the side and the garlic that I paid another $2 extra for wasn't even added. When I spend $24 on a pizza I expect it to be amazing or at the very least decent. It wasn't busy at all in there so I can't even use that as an excuse for them. Watershed was a complete waste of money and I won't be eating there again. read more

I love that they have what, 21 rotating beers or 21 beers on tap or something, anyway, a ridiculously awesome number of beers on the menu and on tap. They have some wine and cocktails also. It has a very adorable atmosphere, feels more like a great neighborhood pub than a raging place for the bros (although I'm sure you can do that here as well). They have some games and chess and stuff to do, seating outside, differentiated but still kind of included seating for those not blessed with being drinking age, and booths. The service has been really awesome and friendly all three times I have been here. Beer tastes awesome, as do their cocktails, but their prices are kind of high and they don't have a great happy hour menu. In fact I don't believe there is food on it, although that may have changed since I asked about it a month ago, and beers are like a dollar off. And their food was good but I felt not completely worth the price tag. So, it's a pub and I'm allergic to gluten and don't eat meat. I didn't have super high expectations. However, the menu has lots of diversity and even offers gf crackers on some of the appetizers (which made me immediately like them!). I ordered the Brussels sprouts, without bacon. They were delicious! I also ordered the green salad with garbanzo beans and tons of veggies. The dressing was delicious and just the right amount. My husband ordered the pizza folds and he couldn't put them down. This place had great service and a great atmosphere and, clearly the chef knows how to make delicious food.
