I've passed here so many times and I'm glad i finally stopped in. The highlight was how outgoing and caring our server, Ryan, was. It was just before closing time so it was fairly quiet. There's a bar setup and a few TVs which my husband appreciated. He was able to casually watch college football. Our food was of high quality and I appreciated the seeded bread instead of the typical plain wheat toast. If you like coffee, definitely ask for some. They use locally roasted coffee and also offer cold brew. read more

This is a great local spot. I met a volunteer here and it's about halfway for each of us. I got the Greek omelette and it was very flavorful. The rye toast was perfect and the breakfast potatoes were yum. She got the challah french toast and enjoyed it. The service was very friendly. Parking was annoying but that's not their fault. Definitely would go back if I am in Bensalem. It's the ambiance of exactly what it says- a cafe mixed with a diner. read more

Came here ( under old managment) and it was great, but then Covid entered our lives and it closed for awhile. New management now and we come at least once a week and always are greeted with smiles and are seated right away. Food is great and super delicious and so many options to pick from. Danny makes us feel at home and the waitresses are super with making you feel at home. I found this place by looking up breakfast near me. Parking is definitely hard considering it's within an upscale apartment complex. The place was jam-packed when I arrived with people waiting outside. I went in and was offered a counter spot since I was alone, which was fine with me because I was starving! I was waited on immediately and got a water and coffee. I ordered the lox benedict,, it pertained two poached eggs, nova lox, hollandaise, on two English muffins along with home fries. My husband and I were in the area and looking for breakfast. When we walked in there were two occupied tables and one waitress. It seemed as though the customers were regulars cause the waitress carried on her conversation with them as if we were t there. We were seated and completely ignored for 10 minutes. By that time, I'd asked husband if he wanted to stay or go elsewhere. We stayed but during the course of our meal we had already decided that we would not return. The food wasn't bad but quite honestly, to be ignored is not acceptable nor welcoming. There are too many other places to go who appreciates their customers. My partner and I have frequented Waterside Cafe for a few years now. Loved the people, the service and food. I understand businesses can go through rough patches but the steady decline in service over our last few visits has left us wondering what happened to this place. Our last visit on Saturday 10/14/2023 for breakfast was the final straw for us. The wait was a bit longer than usual but really not an issue. The problem started the moment we sat down. Our server was impersonal and rushed us through our order. Still not a problem, no big deal. 45 minutes later I had to get up and go find someone to ask about our order. Not once did our waitress come to our table after bringing our drinks and taking our order. Directly across from our table two people who were seated at the same time as us were finished their meal and checking out at the register. When I politely asked about our order no apology only I'll go and see. 10 minutes later our order appears and our waitress offered no reason, no apology, nothing! I don't expect to be treated like a king but I also don't want to feel like I'm invisible either. So, sadly we are done with Waterside Cafe. I hope they figure out whatever issue they're having before it becomes too big to overcome. read more

Perfect cure for a New Year's Day hangover! I love creamed chipped beef and it's been hard to find lately. Portions were generous and hot on arrival. My husband enjoyed his corned beef hash as well and was impressed with the quality of the sunny side up eggs on top. We will certainly be back as it's right down the street. read more
