Every plate that is served is picture perfect perfection. Truly astonishing. This is where the phrase "hidden gem" originated.

Zwiegs Grill opened Memorial Day weekend in 1946. It opened my Helen and Grover Zwieg. Glenn, their…read more2nd child purchased it in the mid 70's and has run it since then with his "Heart on her sleeve" wife. She has been the full-time morning cook for several years and a darn good one at that! They offer actual home cooked meals, the old-fashioned way, made there daily. Fresh patties are used for their burgers from a local butcher. If you are old enough to remember the show ALICE, that is exactly the type of place this is! A diner that is family, all the way down to the regular customers that come in. They say, "Home is where the heart is," and in my case, and many others, this is true..... Thanks for the great memories. Thank you for being my support group for the majority of my life and giving me a place to call home! Get a job you love, and it will never be going to work. It's just going home.... Carol Aka: short stuff, Ditzy and LB.

Terrible food. Terrible service. Hotter than Phoenix in July…read more Was there with my wife and mother. It was 80 degrees outside and about 110 degrees inside the restaurant. Tables were too close together. My breakfast was perhaps the worst that I ever had. My hash browns were black, toast was cold, eggs were inedible. My wife's pancakes were charred. We had 3 or 4 bites then told the waitress that the food was awful. She said, "what am I supposed to do about it?" How about offer to remake the food or take it off our bill? I wanted to leave money for the sodas and leave. My wife insisted we pay the full bill even though we ate 5% of our atrocious food. It pained me to pay for such a terrible experience. I travel extensively and have eaten at restaurants in 36 of the 50 states and this is the worst breakfast and second worst meal at a restaurant that I have ever had. Only the Luxor Casino buffet in Las Vegas was worse and that's only because it made my wife and I horribly sick. I have to assume that based on the fact that the restaurant was packed, that most people around here have never left this area and actually experienced edible restaurant food before.

We found this absolute gem for Sunday brunch after seeing great reviews for their gluten-free…read moreoptions, and it did not disappoint. We made a 12:00 PM reservation, which was definitely necessary because the place was full. Right off the bat, our server asked if anyone had food allergies or dietary restrictions. When I mentioned I have celiac disease, he confidently assured me they could absolutely accommodate it, which immediately gave me peace of mind. I ordered a strawberry spritz and we shared the gluten-free donuts to start. A huge win for the celiac community is that they have a dedicated fryer, so we also safely shared the truffle fries. For our main entrees, I had the fried rice which was excellent. My husband ordered the skirt steak hash with gluten-free toast and loved it, though it is worth noting for others that it packs quite a lot of spice. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive regarding the allergy protocols. The overall service ran a little slow, but it was understandable given how slammed they were for the Sunday rush. As an added bonus, the restaurant has its own parking lot, making the logistics seamless. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot, especially fellow celiacs looking for a safe and delicious meal!

Since it was nice outside we opted to eat on the small patio which was nice. Our server was was very good and kept things moving. It was happy hour so we ordered two of their spritzes which were $6 each - they were both good (strawberry/ limoncello). Appetizers were supposedly $10 each during happy hour - we got the tempura veggies which were very good. We also got the chicken wings which we later found out when we got the bill that they were not considered to be an appetizer covered by the happy hour pricing (they should make this clearer on the menu.) The wings themselves were good but six wings for $18 was a ripoff. I get it that inflation is high but that is ridiculous... My wife got the fried chicken sandwich which was very dry. This was the same result last time we were here - I guess we should have read our review and avoided it. Overall it was just an OK experience - disappointing.
