Sorry to say I can't recommend Scott to clean carpets. Should've looked here to see when last review was left-5 years ago! 6 rooms with dirty carpet and he was done in 1.5 hours (?) Taking calls whole time. I wanted main dining area, entry ways and hallway esp and those were left to end and honestly didn't look like they had even been cleaned, except they were wet. Found him because of Groupon deal, which he said "something was messed up with, they owed him money" so wasn't offering that deal. Chose him because of lure of dryers: maybe he had more than one, I don't know but only one area in one room was dry. Expressed my unhappiness about wet rug and all dirty spots I could see and he said something like some of them you cant get out & well thats what you get for $250. What a crock! I rented rug doctor afterwards, did massive pretreat stain stuff-it took me HOURS. But I got it clean. You can see from photos how much dirt was left. The clincher for me and what prompted this review: he left toilet seat up! Gross. Don't waste your money. read more

Definitely recommend this company for your carpet/rug cleaning! I have a shag rug that was pretty dirty... I'm just sad I don't have a picture before cleaning to post here about the progress. Very happy with the professionalism, communication, and price. Will post an update once the rug is completely dry, as Scott says it will look like new :) UPDATE: after the rug dried out, it was still not loooking 100% clean. Scott offered to come back in a couple days to re-do the cleaning, and now my rug looks waaay cleaner and fluffier! Definitely worth the 5 star review. read more

Very unhappy with the level of service and outcome of my job. Scott came out promptly to complete the job. He air dryed my sofa cushions outside, which I thought was weird, but went with it. He said the cushions would lighten up once dry. That never happened, and before I submitted this review I contacted him to see what he could do. Don't hire anyone else! I had two other guys come out to clean my pieces of carpet. One hadn't even been walked on. They said I needed this pre-treatment and that treatment and on and on. One advertised for $49 for two rooms but with all the extras he wanted $220. I told him to leave. The next one pulled the same stunt but wanted $389! I told him to leave, too. Scott didn't mess around; he got them clean - all the "spots" the others said couldn't be gotten clean, and so on. He answered all my questions and I would have him again in a heartbeat. He was very professional and friendly in how he handled my situation. As the other reviews said they were easy to schedule and did a good job on my carpets. He was not very friendly but his wife/ assistant was very friendly so it evened out. However, I was quoted $100 over the phone for 4 small bedrooms but AFTER the service was completed I was told that it would be $160. If they had indicated this up front I probably wouldn't have minded, but not after the fact. And when I questioned it he became defensive and said that my carpets were much dirtier than expected and since he had been there "3 hours" he said I was getting a great deal. (I corrected him and he realized that they had only been there 1.5 hours. But still charged the $160). It has been about 2 months since my service. I have had a couple of spots come back through but I'm not completely surprised- I had already tried to spot clean those myself and the same thing happened. Again, I'm not debating the carpet cleaning, just the way I was billed- I felt tricked and despite the fact that I indicated this, he did not address it. I'm still mad that I paid it! read more

Called Watkins cleaning service for a quote, the lady on the phone gave me a quote for $75, then a gentleman got on the phone and quoted me $90. He then proceeded to say if I wanted additional services that most likely I would need, my cost would go up by another $20 or $30, and that that was a deal on its own. He concluded by saying that i'd probably be looking at approximately $125.00 In the end, I didn't feel too comfortable with all of this, it seemed a bit shady. Scott was able to come on short notice to clean my 100% wool, very dirty, white Moroccan-style shag rug. He kept to his original quote even though he ended up having to put a pre-treatment on one corner of the rug first. He did a great job and even managed to clean the braided fringe which I was not even sure was possible. He brought in a big fan to help speed up the drying and cleaned my door mats for free. I highly recommend Scott and will call him again in the future if I need any rugs/carpets cleaned. read more

SCOTT!!!!!!! Let's just start by saying truly amazing. My carpet was horrible and after being turned down by many companies who said that they could not get out the stains and that the carpet was old! Watkins came in and proved everyone wrong. Scott communicated with me the whole time until he arrived. He and his wife answered all my questions and explained each step to me as they were cleaning my carpet. I had oil that has spilled on my chairs and they were able to get them clean. My sofa! Looks amazing!! And let's not mention they used these really big fans that dried everything in all of 20 minutes, which was a big deal to me considering that I have a toddler who can't keep still...Lol...I have never been so happy and satisfied. Took a gamble on hiring Watkins Carpet Cleaning to clean my Flor carpet tiles and was very glad I did. Mr. Watkins and his crew are very amiable and diligent in getting the work completed. I added area rugs to the work order and was very pleased with the outcome. I thought I was going to have to replace some of the carpet tiles but no, Watkins got them looking like new. The price of the service was quite reasonable for the 3 area rugs, plus 2 partials (those with beds on them), and about 335 square feed of the tiles. The floors were dryer at the end of the service than I have ever experienced with carpet cleaning. Impossible to get every nook and cranny bone dry but the result was acceptable and reasonable. I would hire them again. They got the coffee stains out, too! read more
