I would never recommend Watkins Carpet Cleaning. He was a no show without calling until the end of the day TWO DIFFERENT TIMES. The work was unprofessional ...left carpet wet; dirty at entry doors; with spots ALL OVER; and the couch was streaked, and left with water marks. He came 6 hours late WHEN HE DID THE JOB and as if drugged, blaming his wife for the sleeping pills she gave him the night before and asked that I make a pot of coffee for him to wake up. AFTR HE SAID THE JOB WAS DONE, When I pointed out areas I was not happy with, he became irritated. The final cost of $ 275..00 was significantly more than his quote. He worked with two young women, one of which was his daughter and blamed them for problems since "they were just learning how to clean carpets." He used equipment that one can rent anywhere that rents carpet cleaning equipment. Pressing him about his lack of professional work only made things worst as his angry, foul mouth came into play. I hired him because I had trusted the editor of a local newspaper called THE GRAPEVINE PRESS and an article he wrote on this business. I no longer trust that newspaper either. Scott Watkins did an excellent job on my off-white carpet. He explained each service and the cost before he began work, so I could choose what to have him do. He worked very hard to remove an ink stain that a previous carpet cleaner had just smeared around. He did a double cleaning. The first cleaning removed the chemicals and shampoo left behind by previous cleanings. Then he did a really good steam cleaning. He uses immersible heaters to heat the water until it steams, which is way better than most cleaners, who just use the hot tap water. He moved all the moveable furniture, but not the things I didn't want moved, like bookcases, bureaus, and queen bed. He used super blowers to get the carpet almost completely dry before he left. He also cleaned my couch and two unholstered chairs, as well as the throw pillows. I had a couple double-sized rooms, so he charged each as two rooms, but he did the hall and bathroom for free. I liked having the owner do the work and I really appreciated his understanding of what chemicals to use on what stains. I will use Watkins again without hesitation. read more

As a bit of truth in review, I am a games business professional, and support all of the games companies that are out there, in any way I can. So when I needed my carpets cleaned, in advance of a photo shoot that was coming up soon, I got in touch with Scott, whom I knew also was a carpet guy. He set an arrival window, and made it at the back end of it, which was okay, because I know things happen. His team was quick, efficient, and no-nonsense. His methods are pretty straightforward, but stain-removal is not a particular specialty - he gave it all he had, but did not succeed in full stain removal. His prices are reasonable, and his promise of full dryness in an hour is a slight bit of PR magic, but honestly, when he was done the carpets certainly looked clean, and he did go above and beyond the call in terms of leaving the place in better shape than when he arrived. We had an unexpected event happened to us on November 1, 2018. We had a death of a family member and there was blood loss was involved. Watkins Carpet Cleaning was called after everything was clear to go back into our home. Mr. Watkins showed up November 2, 2018 and began working with out delay. Mr. Watkins spent 4 hours removing blood from our carpet paying attention to every little detail looking for every little bit of blood in the carpet. When things came up that were trouble spots, he knew ways to deal with it, whether it was grease, grime, soap and over the counter carpet solutions' buildup and residue, candy and gum, or pet issues, he had something in his bag of tricks. Very personable, had one team member with him when he came. Had some amazing fans that actually aim downward, and dry the carpet super fast; they reminded me of the fans used on movie sets for hurricane effects, but made aiming downward. I called the Owner Scott to see if they could do somthing about my pet stains and smell, he came out and washed the carpet and put down some chemicals to remove the oder and help with the stains. It worked out great, stains and oder gone until my dogs went on the carpet again. I called him back and they took care of the problem again. Might be time to get rid of the dogs. lol read more
