What started as a stressful road trip ended with us driving home in a brand-new Blazer EV. We were heading from Southern California to Texas to buy one when our Bolt suddenly wouldn't charge at any public stations in Arizona, in 110+ degree heat. We called GM Concierge but they couldn't find an issue and sent us to Watson Chevrolet. Monica in service was fantastic, with no appointment we explained what was going on and she paged an EV tech to take a quick look. I was talking with a mechanic within 5 min and after they moved a few cars we were at their DC fast charger and the car charged fine, just bad luck with public stations. They even let us continue to charge, for free. While waiting, we checked their inventory and were surprised to find an even better Blazer EV than the one we were driving to Texas for. We asked Monica to connect us with a straightforward and easy to work with--no pressure at all salesman and that's when we met Rich expecting to be back in the waiting room in 10 min waiting for our car to finish charging. The "service department" isn't worthy of that name. When you walk in, no one greets you or asks if they can help you. I had made an appointment by phone to get a second opinion on my broken air conditioning -- but the person making the appointment didn't mention the cost (over $200 for the diagnostic) or that my car would need to be there more than 24 hours (even though I brought it in the morning). I was assigned to Mason, a "service consultant," who said he'd keep me updated on my car. The next day I called a little before noon and got his voicemail, so I left a message asking for an update. Almost two hours later, I left a second message. He finally called and said they were just getting started on checking out my car. I noted, with only mild annoyance, that it was taking longer than he'd told me the day before, and he angrily retorted: "You are welcome to come get your car now!" Whoa. I said I'd wait to hear from him. Two and a half hours later, he called and said my car would be ready in about another half hour. When I got there at 5:30 pm, he was gone for the day. The writeup on the diagnostic lacked any useful details. When I asked if there was any more information, the person checking me out couldn't find anything. The diagnosis on my AC was the same (blocked blend door actuator) as my local car repair shop had given me, but the repair estimate was THREE TIMES MORE. In fact, it was about a third of what my car is worth. Ridiculous. I'd rather endure a Tucson summer without AC than ever deal with Watson Chevrolet again. Fortunately, I can go to the shop near me, save about $2,000, and interact with friendly helpful people. read more

Have been going here for over two years and service gets worse and worse. Have appointments they say hour and half to two hours every time! It always takes longer No communication or updates along the way. Today was awful. Cleaning people cleaning all around us and chemicals were so bad and noise. Then the whole service department went for a meeting while I was still waiting for car to have oil change. Who does that??? If your order you placed for parts on their website cannot arrive in a week, they cancel the order! Sorry people, this is unacceptable. Maybe notifying the customers of your policy before they place their order might be an idea? Unless someone checks their email and follows up they would never know. Also a person places the order and card is immediately charged but then you take 2-5 business days for a refund that you cancelled, doesn't seem right. Take your business elsewhere people! read more

I wouldn't buy a car from them. I was supposedly on a waitlist to order a new Corvette for 2 years. I say supposedly because whenever I called to see how much longer it would be, I never got a straight answer. Then they would call and try and sell me a used one for more than the new one I wanted would cost. They always seem to have a lot of new ones, but couldn't order one for me. I'm guessing because I wanted a base model. So I called Phoenix dealers and got on their waitlist. I got a call a week later, ordered it, and received it a few weeks later. And paid less because taxes are less in Phoenix. Now more problems. I bought my new Corvette in Apr 2024 in Phoenix. On 1 Jul, with less than 1000 miles on it, I noticed the paint chipping around the headlights in 4 places. On the internet I saw this is a known defect. There's a service bulletin concerning it, number 22-NA-081, dated Apr 2022. This made me mad with GM/Chevy because they have known the issue for years and not done anything to correct. SO, DONT BUY A CORVETTE UNTIL THEY FIX THE ISSUE! I was told by Chevy Customer Service to bring the vehicle in to Watson Chevy for pictures and inspection to see if under warranty, which I did. I was told it was covered and bring in on 29 Jul for repair. I dropped my car off for 10 days to be fixed. I picked the vehicle up 7 Aug and the original damage looked repaired. There was unfortunately a small area of new damage/poor work done that they agreed to repair. Nine days after getting my car back, only one trip later, I noticed the same damage back that had just been fixed under warranty, one spot worse than the first time. Again I was asked to bring it in for pictures and approval, which I did on 23 August. It was agreed that I would bring the car in on 9 Sep for repair under warranty of the chipping. I thought I was being nice not having Watson Chevy pay for a rental car this time, and agreeing to not put my stripe or emblem back on yet in case the paint chipped again, as that costs them money. 16 Sep I picked up my vehicle and looked good. Mind you as of this point Watson was working with me to try and resolve my issues, and I blamed GM for sending out an inferior product with known defects. Soon after I was told by Chevy Customer Service that they could not offer me any compensation for my inconvenience as she was told the damage was my fault and not covered by warranty. I was very confused and mad. Speaking to the dealership I was told that a GM rep, who they would not identify, told them it was my fault as the front bottom center rubber piece was scratched along the bottom so Chevy wouldn't reimburse the dealership for the last repair. This "damage" they refer to is from backing out of my driveway going 1 MPH. The damage would not occur if there was no manufacturer defect!! Watson Chevy is now unresponsive to mine, the Better Business Bureau, and Chevy Customer Service requests. They finally gave me my stripe and emblem, but now I have to pay someone else to put them on. All I am asking for now is paperwork on what they did, and a letter explaining what happened with the warranty issue, as they said the last repair wasn't covered by warranty and supposedly they won't ever cover it again. They never have given me a final invoice on either repair, and I have been asking for over a month. They give me paperwork that has no mileage in or out or date in or out. They also did a terrible job putting the vehicle back together. I have an extra screw in my trunk and the area around the wheel well is not lined up correctly. We called and made my appointment for a tire ahead of time. The service writer Brian came out and kept stating to me that he was new- I sat in the waiting area for three hours before I walked around until I found him because no one ever came and updated me on any progress or lack there of- he told me that they were super busy and two people just went home and he had several people waiting and also stated that he was sure everyone else did as well. I asked if I could get a ride home then. Last time my service writer was so friendly and accommodating - he just brushed me off and told me the people in the front would take care of that. I got a phone call around 430 about picking my car up that the tire was patched even though the spot my puncture was on is not a place they usually patch but he said I could drive on it , but it might not hold, but they ordered the tire. Excuse me I am not going to put myself, my child, or anyone else on the road in danger because I chose to drive on a tire that shouldn't have a patch on the shoulder. Saturday goes by, I don't hear anything. Monday goes by we call and call and leave voicemails . I hear back around three pm that there's a tire and they're going to try to get it on by 5. We go to pick it up at 5. Brian has gone home for the day... but my keys are just sitting there on the counter for anyone to just grab. Nice. We are told by a manager it's still not ready . Tuesday we call and call and leave voicemails, no answer. Wednesday we call and call and eventually reach someone to let us know the wrong tire came in for it, well that's cool and all but ANY BIT OF COMMUNICATION WOULD BE GREAT. Thursday at 315 I received a call that it was finally ready for pick up. All of this for a tire . When we called to make the appointment we were assured that our warranty plan covered the tire so I guess my bad on my end for thinking that explaining the situation and knowing what kind of car I had someone would have ordered the correct tire before my appointment had even began. And I would've put this all in a private survey if we received one. I will more than likely return because as previously stated my previous time at Watson was so exceptional. But this time, no excuse. No communication and terrible service. read more

I waited to be helped while the guy behind the counter was what seemed to be trying to date this woman he was talking with. she was not looking or asking for car parts. My waiting seemed to be bothering their conversation. When he did ask if he could help, it seemed more out frustration for interrupting their date. He would not even attempt to find the part I needed. He was neither helpful nor knowledgeable, but argumentative. I purchased a 2021 Sierra 1500 in November of 2020, it currently is sitting at 20k miles and still covered by Bumper-to-bumper warranty. On 4/17/2022 I was driving down a paved road when my passenger rear tire went flat. Upon checking the tire, there was a 3-4-inch blowout on the wall of the tire. I was able to change the tire using the spare underneath, this was my first time using this tire since purchase. After winding down the tire I noticed several burn marks along the spare tire from where it sits on the frame while stored underneath; there is literally rubber burned onto the frame. This was very concerning as it is the only place to securely store a spare tire on this model of GMC truck and it is a big liability not knowing whether the spare tire is structurally safe to drive on. 4/17/22 was easter Sunday so no dealership/GMC customer service was open, on Monday morning 4/18 I called GMC to set up an appointment at Watson to have these issues repaired, they said it should all be covered under warranty (tire being a sidewall blowout not caused from "normal wear and tear"), and the spare tire defect needed inspection to calculate a fix. I brought the truck in around 11a on 4/18 (GMC was able to escalate this due to safety concerns driving on a tire that has been burned by the frame). I worked with Tyler Fitzgibbon and Gabe Stearns who took the truck back and brought it back within an hour saying that they will not replace the spare because the dust on my truck was proof enough I was off roading, and that the burn marks across the spare is "just the way it is" in GMC and Silverado trucks. There was nothing they would do. Let me start by saying that I have always been proud to drive GMC/Chevrolet, I purchase a new truck every few years and the way in which I have been accused for trying to get a brand new truck with less than 21k miles on it repaired for factory issues has made me never want to come back to Watson or even purchase another GMC/Chevrolet again. Tyler was new and just relaying information, but Gabe acted with complete disrespect, raised his voice at me and told me he wouldn't not do anything for me, this was an issue I needed to address with GMC and to get out of his service department. I am in awe at the way he is allowed to treat customers, especially when it comes to customers who buy brand new. Regardless of the issue, they did not offer a solution and left me to drive on an unsafe tire with no permanent or temporary fix. I believe the spare tire issue is a factory defect that warrants its own recall, also the spare tire should be covered under bumper-to-bumper warranty as it is not from "wear and tear". This is wrong of Watson to treat customers in this fashion and Gabe should be held fully responsible for the mishandling of this case. After escalting this to GMC executive resolution team, they took several days explaining they would find a solution and apologized for the way Watson acted. When I heard back from the executive team at GMC, they had an engineer tell me that this was perfectly fine, that's how they are designed... they are designed to burn rubber onto the frame of the truck.. it may be fine for a year.. maybe 2.. but what happens when that spare sits for longer.. this is wrong and they know it but its all about covering their own ass. Maybe save yourself a headache and buy a Ford. read more

I took my truck in for an insurance claim and dropped it off for an inspection. They took it totally apart. Said this is protocol when you drop it off insurance did not cover due to the fact of wanting to total out my vehicle picked up my vehicle. Also all my ram 3500 symbols are gone. We were in the market for a new car.. Checked GMC, Chevy, and Ford.. Went back to Watson Chevrolet. We worked with Melissa and she was Great.. At first there was some confusion on what rebates you receive, can you pay cash and still earn the rebates. ETC... We received an email the next morning, from Mark Urias, the director of sales. We were able to work out a price on the New Chevy Equinox. And all the stars aligned and we drove out with a new Chevy. We came home and noticed the next morning there a few dings in the new car. I called and spoke with Mark and Melissa, and set an appointment to repair the dings. They fixed them and also issued a small check for our time. .My wife and I are both 71 years old and purchased several new cars in our 53 years of marriage.. Don't recommend buying car from them or taking car to the auto shop, should have listened to the mechanic and go somewhere else to get car fixed. In 2011 I was looking to buy chevy, and stopped by. No person came out to help me, we had to go searching for someone. after finding someone I asked if we could see the keys for a Camaro, they declined right away. Even one of the managers came out and said no, and went back to their group huddle We stopped at jaguar across the street, and they lend us the keys right away to a Jag and they said we could test drive anything. We ended up buying a BMW instead. In 2013 went with my friend who was looking to buy car, and again no one came out, we had to go find someone and wouldn't lend us any keys. They said that they had to check the credit first. Ended up going to Nissan dealership instead, more respectful and willing to help out right away. Since then have bought 4 other cars, but we end up going to Phoenix instead, better service over all. Throughout the years have tried to buy parts from here, but everytime I go and buy a part, never any customer service and all seem way to busy checking their phones instead of willing to help. Been many occasions. Even tried to return a brand new part back that i didn't need, was still in the bag, and they couldn't find the invoice. They where going to talk to their manager and would follow up, i still have the brand new part that they decline to accept. I even had the invoice. I rather order online from other chevy dealers, than dealing with Watson chevrolet Took car to the auto shop because of an accident to the front bumper. The insurance would be covering the bill. When I got my car back, the quality of the black paint on the front  bumper is poor quality and ended up braking my bumper. Now they are saying that it was already broken and its not going to be their responsibility for having the bumper just hanging loose. The way they fixed it, was more damage to the bumper than the actual car accident. Should have fixed it myself and would have turned out a lot better without having to take the bumper apart. read more

Forced to use Chevy dealer for service because I have a Volt. Made appointment in the afternoon. Took it in and they didn't have time to look at it, afternoon should only be for oil changes they tell me. Bring it back the next morning and it sat there all day and they could only do the oil change because they were too busy. I wanted them to check it over because I was going on a road trip. Guess what, it broke down in LA. Next time was just an oil change / tire rotation and I was going to leave it. Asked them to give me a ride and they were going to call Lyft. An hour later I was still waiting. They didn't call Lyft. They routinely call me every couple months to say my car is due for oil change and tire rotation but the sticker they put in the window says it's not due for months. There may be some good people here, but there are also sociopaths. Jeremy, in the finance department has earned my trust. Rob Corrales agreed to one figure and then added to that figure by $440.75 and slipped $1000 off the contact by creating confusion over the one thousand dollars I had put down. Clever but sociopathic. Add to that my reading disability, which is profound for fields on a page, ie: contracts and PC screens. There was no jack in trunk compartment with the spare, which was under inflated. Rob even made a comment about the jack that wasn't there. Yes, I got a flat and it was a nightmare because I had no jack. The hood of the car was highly oxidized and will require professional attention. They cleaned it up just enough so it wasn't apparent. I bought it on a sunny day and it is hard to see defects in a white finish on a sunny day that is 105 degrees or more. I've made MANY CALLS to complain. You will never speak with anyone above a sales manager. They just have the jackass that ripped you off call you back. What an atrocious dealership. Fricking horrible! read more

I recently brought my 2017 Chevy Silverado LT Z71 into the service department at Watson Chevrolet in Tucson AZ. Until today, I've always brought my vehicles to them because I trust no one else to work on any of my vehicles. I pulled out of a gas station yesterday morning and I heard a (metal to metal) pop, I wasn't sure what it was but it twisted my steering wheel out of alignment. This is when I called Watson service to see if I could bring my vehicle in. I normally work with Peter Hindley, but since he was no longer employed there I was referred to Phil Farenga. After Phil had my vehicle diagnosed we found out that the left ball joint had snapped. By surprise Phil told me that my vehicle was not covered under warranty due to after market parts being installed. I explained that this is how I purchased my vehicle from O'Reilly Chevrolet with the exception of the all-terrain tires. Tires should not void a warranty. Phil said he called over to O'Reilly, and found out that the lift kit installed on my truck was in fact done by a Fred ?. Phil then said in order for me to have my truck fixed I needed to have my truck towed, at my cost, to O'Reilly for them to fix the issue. Apparently since they installed a after market lift kit that he claims caused the ball joints to snap needed to be fixed by them and not Watson. Phil said, If Watson fixes the truck it would need to be approved by the extended warranty that I had purchased however, the warranty company wanted to see the truck in person first before it was determined covered by them. This was eventually denied because my extended warranty does not kick in until after factory warranty expires. Phil left me with very little options on a brand new truck with only 30,000 miles. I can either pay to have my truck towed to O'Reilly to be fixed or I can be without a vehicle until the warranty company came out to Watson to inspect it and approve or deny the repair. It is unfortunate that they're not willing to fix a manufacturers broken part due to another dealership altering a vehicle and selling it like that. I don't work in their field but I do work in the field of wholesale and I sell HVAC to thousands of licensed contractors in Southern AZ, and what I do know is customer service. If any of my parts or equipment that I sold ever had problems, I would do everything I could to take care of that customer. This is definitely not how you take care of a customer. I asked the Service Director to please get back to me with some sort of resolution as I don't feel it is right that I have to pay out of pocket for something GM should be covering. See his response attached. The end answer I received, "Customer has to Pay" $528 to replace a ball-joint on a brand new vehicle that another dealership installed after market parts on. read more

This dealership has had my car for over 2 months to fix a DC fast charging issue. This was a warranty issue that they could not fix, finally telling me that the vehicle was operating as designed and simply was not compatible with modern DCFC chargers. Then to add insult to injury they tried charging me for a new 12-volt battery, which I did not authorize and for which I would have gladly paid for if it had resolved the problem. When I questioned the charge, the service manager, Gabe Stearns, came out and started belittling me saying that I had authorized the charge on a phone call with a service advisor that I have never spoken with on the phone. Even if that were the case, who replaces a part in an attempt to resolve an issue and then tries to charge the customer for something that did not resolve the issue or affect the resolution in any way? When I called him on that and asked if he had a recording of the call he got even more shitty and passive-aggressive with me. He made some snide remark about my finances, inferring that I got what I paid for. Not sure if he thinks my car is crap, or that My car and I are crap. I told Gabe all I ask is that the vehicle be able to do what it was advertised to do when I purchased it. The car is still under warranty for Christ's sake. I was planning on looking at new cars while I was at the dealership, but there is no way after Gabe's little tantrum. When I told Gabe that he said good, He didn't want to see me or my car at Watson Chevrolet ever again. This man is probably losing Watson a lot of money. read more

Ouch...the reviews are awful. Had my first experience with Watson service when it was time for my first oil change (free). Jerry was my service advisor and from start to finish my experience was excellent. First, I was late because I went to the wrong Chevy dealership. No problem..they took me anyway. Second I wanted to go home so they got me an uber both ways. WHAT!!!!!?????? Once I got inside (while waiting for the uber) I wondered why leave. The lounge is beautiful with TV, snacks and wifi... desks set up on the chairs if you choose to use them. Jerry called when they were done, ordered my uber to come get me. Trying to get someone to answer the phone is a nightmare. They are terrible at returning calls.

On 22 November 2023 I purchased a vehicle (2024 Camaro SS) from this dealership (sales rep. Ron.) The paperwork for this vehicle was incorrectly done and the vin for the vehicle I purchased was swapped with another vehicle. On 08 December 2023 I noticed this mistake and attempted to contact the dealership and was told by Casandra at the front desk that I would be contacted about the issue. On 16 December 2023 I went into the dealership since I had still not been contacted. The General Sales Manager John Barrera told my sales rep and the finance officer Cesar that the issue was worked. However nothing had been done and I had not been notified. Their fix to this was to give me all new paperwork and not give me any option to return this vehicle as the cost went up around 20k dollars or negotiate price. In all of this commotion I realized one of the listed items (a spoiler) was not present on the vehicle but listed in the sales contract. If there was a way for me to leave negative stars i would. I called in to service tonight because i was going to come pick up my girlfriend's truck. I sat on hold for nearly 30 min. The message kept stating that I was first in line. After almost half an hour the message prompted me to press 2 if I urgently needed to speak with someone. At this point I was done having my time wasted. I pressed two and the voice on the other end was the rudest sounding person I ever heard in my life. The amount of attitude she gave me was ridiculous. All i wanted to do was make arrangements to pick up my girls vehicle. I have no idea what her problem was but she seriously needs to be trained again. Her people skills are non existent. I work in sales and the customer service arena and If I treated people the way she treated me, well, I probably wouldn't have a job. Not sure what's happening with Watsons service department and customer service areas but it could explain why the sales lot, service and showroom were absolute ghost towns.
