The room was fine for a one-night stay--clean, with a decent-sized bed--but definitely needs finishing touches. There was an unplugged lamp near the door with no outlet in reach, no towel rack or toilet paper holder in the bathroom, and no mirror except one still in its box near the sink. Amenities were incomplete: two tubes of conditioner but no shampoo, a coffee maker and microwave with nowhere to plug them in unless moved, and a refrigerator unplugged without a visible outlet. The heater/AC was noisy enough to turn off for sleep, and the Wi-Fi was virtually unusable in my room. Workers continued construction late at night and early in the morning, even on Sunday. With more time, it should improve--they're clearly making an effort. Don't rule it out.

If one needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, they would have to awaken everyone in the room by turning on the light to wash their hands. We decided to make the best of it, and looked for ice in our freezer to have a drink (kitchen was also in the one big room). No ice. No ice cube trays. We called the front desk to ask for the location of an ice machine. She told us to move the arm down on our ice maker. We told her there was no ice maker. She insisted there was. We told her again there wasn't. She didn't believe us. She finally offered us some ice from their kitchen, which we had to go get. Breakfast. Wasn't. Apples, cereal, granola bars and packaged, sugary muffins. There was a toaster, but nothing to toast. Even the cheapest motels offer bagels, English muffins or bread. Oh, and they allow animals. If you are allergic, or don't want to hear barking at all hours, stay away. Come to think of it, stay away anyway. They got a star because the bed was comfortable. They also do not provide any service. You need towels, or soap, or anything - come and get it....lol. Don't forget to make your bed.

We meet the chef and maître d who will be taking care of us. The food was amazing. The room was set up perfectly. Our cocktail hour was great. There was plenty of staff on hand to make out wedding amazing. Lisa and Molly were both honest, professional, caring, and overall friendly. They answered the million emails I sent them, took my phone calls, and helped us from day one till the ending of our wedding weekend with the brunch. The wedding party went on without any hitches or issues. Our guests spoke about how wonderful and attentive the staff was, how beautiful and clean the ballroom was, how clean the bathrooms were, and how amazing the food was. We had plenty of space for dancing, a photobooth, rolling bar, coffee station, and seating for our guests. The food was served at a good pace and served hot. I did not feel rushed at all. When the night was over, the staff packed everything up for us and transported it to our room. The next morning, we hosted a brunch. The staff was so attentive at the brunch. All the breakfast food was so good. They cleared plates and continued to bring out more breakfast items during the whole time. Lisa was with us on the night of the wedding and at the brunch the next day. I have to say, we were so pleased with Lisa and her staff and the Flanders. The beach chair and umbrella included with your stay is a coupon for a free rental from Bert's which is on the beach - they're only open till 5p and can be difficult to locate. Check-in and out was seem less. There was always someone at the desk to help us and they were very nice. They provide beach passes, parking is only $15 a day. The place is very clean, beautifully decorated and recently renovated (in the last few years). The rooms have their own AC units, beds are comfortable, bathroom is big with 10ft ceilings, a rain shower head for the perfect pressure and shower experience. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is from 6am-10am. You can help yourself to cereal and oatmeal but they also have different menu items everyday. Today was omlet with 5 toppings or a parfait. The meal was well balanced with an arugula salad and a healthy serving of a variety of fruit. Coffee, tea, milk and OJ available. I loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs throughout the day reading my book. They offer blankets and umbrellas. Lemonade, coffee, tea, cookies, and wine are available in the evenings sometimes. Water (hot and cold) available from their filtered machine. You can sit inside or enjoy the porch area where there was a nice breeze. The owner, Sne, can be found working at all hours of the day. From serving coffee in the morning, fixing something in the afternoon, and delivering ice cream in the evening. He takes great care of the place and it's decorated with antiques he has collected. Only a couple blocks away from the boardwalk/wateraprk. The hospitality, attention to detail, and cleanliness were unmatched. We were only here for a night and are excited to return next time.
